Supposedly, the characters in our avatars are supposed to fight each other, but notice how it says "Your avatar fights the above avatar." You should also take note that avatars are only mere representations of such characters, so an avatar fight will only be as intense as a couple of grandmothers playing chess, so it's going to be a dull fight unless it were to take place in the giant chess room from the first Harry Potter story.
