People are saying that if they can pull of a two character gimmick with Rosalina & Luma, they should be able to do the same with the Ice Climbers again, but isn't the Luma just like the Pikmin? Not as another actual controllable character, but more of a means of attack for the primary character. Heck, they're even called Pikmin & Olimar in this game, so I don't see how this is any different. :S Again, unless I'm missing something.

I didn't realize Pikmin & Olimar were in this game. smilie
But Luma does seem to be controllable to some extent, at least about as much as the second Ice Climber I think.



Also, in her intro it says "Rosalina and Luma" and the pikmin don't have anything to do with Olimar when they say his name. If you know what I mean.


The official website has named the brawler 'Pikmin & Olimar' though.

Nope, Nintendo deconfirmed the Spring rumours. The release is still just sometime next year for now.

But the last one was Red, it would make sense if they either kept Red or did a Johto trainer next.

Zelda was just confirmed as a returning character. I'm a little disappointed they didn't use her Skyward Sword design, I loved that one. Oh well.

On the contrary, I am very happy with them using the Twilight Princess design. While I love the Skyward Sword design, using it in Smash would make her blend in too much with the likes of Peach and Rosalina. I love how intimidating she looks, and that pale skin is a great attention to detail, showing off how Hylians are inspired by elven creatures:
