Little one? Beryor probably would've thought more about it had the dragon not said something else interesting. Picking up pace to catch up to him, Beryor called out "Wait! Caught by who? For what?"

Regeil's eyes widened and he suddenly swooped into a flock of clouds. A ShadowFlame patrol was coming toward their direction, but hadn't noticed them yet. Regeil remained aloft, hidden in the clouds.

"Is this ice wall supposed to be a test of my strength?" Flooden wondred aloud. "Oh well, the dragon seems to be very distraught. I shall leave him be." Flooden wandered off in another direction.

Hmm? Not the most social dragon, but in all fairness, neither am I... Beryor was gliding on the wind to conserve energy - not sticking to the dragon he was talking to, but attempting to stay within viewing distance, which was made more difficult by the dragon breaching the clouds. He glided a bit in the direcrion the dragon might've been going in, his senses not being able to pick up the patrols.

Regeil saw Beryor not moving. He was going to get caught! If a battle starts, or worse yet they search that area, I'll most certainly be caught! Grr...... He suddenly shot out of the cloud like a cannon, tackling into Beryor as fast as he could and aiming to take him down to the patch of forest down below.

Beryor wasn't able to react to Regeil as quickly as he would've liked, and ended up getting tackled right in the side. So that's how it is... Still losing altitude, he sent electric charges through his body to give the assailant a nasty shock.

Jade flew in no particular direction, over the barren landscape she drifted to. She was flying aimlessly, and hadn't the slightest clue on what to do next. "I should find shelter, somewhere hidden and safe." She thought.

OOC: They're in the sky, not the forest yet.

Regeil clamped on, even after being electrocuted. His vision grew dim, red around the edges. Still, his resolve kept him conscious enough to smash them both into the forest below. Success! There was a softer, more mossy and swampy ground where he was aiming to land, cushioning the fall as well as the aftershock damage. However, the electricity short-circuted most of his body, and though his brain remained conscious, he was completely paralyzed, everything became relaxed as he crashed, disengaging from Beryor's body.

Ironically, the fall stymied Beryor's murderous rage - it knocked the wind out of him. After taking a short rest to gather his breath and recover from the fall (in no small part helped by the regeneration factor), he searched for Regeil - who, unsurprisingly, barely moved from the point of impact.

"Now ask yourself... was that such a good idea?" He said as he went to pick up Regeil's head with his front paw.

"Tch, it was better than you being a blundering idiot and got us both caught by that patrol." Regeil muttered acidly. His eyes darted toward Icestorm. "Why are you here? And guessing by those wounds, you were attacked by the patrol. Dangit!"

OOC: Rolling with it.

A quick examination of Icestorm revealed to Beryor that he was unconscious. "Yeah... he's out. Patrols, you say?" That doesn't sound too good... Beryor stood still, trying to use his hearing to spot any patrols before they saw him, and move in the appropriate direction.

"Ugh.....stones-and-bones! Now their headed right toward us!" Regeil growled, looking into the sky. The ShadowFlame patrol was speeding toward them, their prey locked on. Regeil tried to move, but to no avail. The electricity had taken a lot out of him.

"Well... looks like we don't have time then. You should probably get a move-on."

Unfortunately, Beryor wasn't able to find cover as quickly as he had hoped. Looking around quickly, he found some foliage which might've been able to help him hide, used his active camouflage, and headed toward it. He didn't know how sharp the patrol's vision was, but hopefully it caused them to lose track of him.

It obviously was no use, because the ShadowFlame patrol had already spotted them in the first place and could see where Beryor was trying to hide. Regeil struggled to move still. He was beginning to get some feeling back, but he still was unable to stand. Soon, they would be surrounded by the patrol!

Hmm... useless. The patrol was evidently well-trained - Beryor was unable to shake them with his disappearing act. He might have to try to fight this one - running away would be hard until they closed in for the attack and he wasn't surrounded.

Nonetheless, he stood behind cover so any breath attacks wouldn't have a clear path to him, which would make engaging at close range easier. Ideally, he would be able to slip away during the fight - hopefully he didn't completely lose control by then.

Regeil sighed. The patrol formed a tight circle around the three dragons. Regeil's eyes darted from left to right. Normally, this would be a cinch to him, but he realized it would probably take him another minute to get some sort of motion going on. He blinked, and looked at Beryor. "Wait for my signal, then run for it." He muttered. "And take the oaf with you too."

Ugh... Beryor was beginning to regret retaliating - some more help would've been really useful right about now! However, he had no time to dwell on it, as there was still the approaching patrol to deal with.

"You want me... to carry that fool, and not you? Well, if you can pull a miracle, I'll do it."

"Tch. I've been in worse...." Regeil muttered. "Just do what I say...." He muttered, his eyes glaring at the ground. A plume of shadowsmoke puffed out of his nose. The patrol encircled them, the leader coming down. "Ey, look what we bagged ourselves this time chumps!" He sneered. "Two Middle Dragons just ripe for the corruption. Ah, and what's this? Little traitor got lost?" He taunted Regeil. "What's the matter. You look like you've seen better days when you were being shredded into little bits!" The guard laughed. The whole group circled them. Regeil blinked once, then lifted his neck. Every movement hurt, sending spaztic aftershocks of electricity arcing through him. Still, he didn't seem to feel it. "I'll give you a chance, you rotten flea-infested scalebag. Leave, or die." He threatened. One of the guards poked the unconscious Icestorm with a tail, but just to check if Icestorm was still alive. A few more were looking quite deliciously at Beryor. "I'm afraid you don't understand, my friend." The leader met Regeil face to face, their muzzles less than a foot apart. "Beg, you filthy dog. Beg."

Regeil stole a quick, fleeting glance at Beryor. Wait for it.... the glance told him.

Beryor's heart was pumping hard in anticipation. He wanted to bolt right now - but he had to wait for just the right moment. He didn't trust Regeil to do anything - but still, he was determined to wait as long as would be possible.

"Hold it" came a voice from the crowd
One dragon come into view, or what looked like an dragon as the entity was totally in full plated armor hiding it's features with only darkness seen through the helmet he was no doubt an officer or elite guard

"I've told you time and time again all prisoners or traitors are to be taken alive to the draining chambers near the construction site no exceptions unless it is 100% critical for the elimination of the subjects"

The patrol leader saluted and bowed. "But of course. We always take them alive. But of course, we usually need to break a few parts to ensure no—" He was cut off. Regeil's mouth sparked, and then a meteor-like sized fireball shot out of his mouth, landing on the ground just a few meters away from him. It exploded on impact, sending dust and shadowfire everywhere. A thick cloud of smoke mixed with dust covered the area. "Now!" Regeil ordered as the blast sent him flying up into the sky. He grunted, unable to do much but let the blast take him. The others should be able to escape due to the confusion now.

I serve those who serve me. For the first time in a long time, Beryor would actually have a chance to reciprocate. Darting for Icestorm's position when the smoke and dust obscured vision, Beryor found him; he picked up Icestorm using his back and began running as fast as he could.

Jade found a small cave near the ocean. She obviously flew far. She stepped into the mouth of a cave, and a large brown bear lurched out of the shadows, the cave was its home. Jade quickly killed it, and set it at the side of the cave. "That solves my food problems." She thought.

Regeil used the confusion, leaping up and seemingly regaining full use of his body again. He quickly dispatched most of the patrol, leaving the leader the other high-ranking dragon. Regeil growled, a claw in one of the other soldier's chest, a tail stabbing another one, and another mutilated soldier at his feet as the dust and smoke cleared. He panted, still not fully recovered from that electric attack. It's been awhile since I was shock-tortured. Must've gone lazy. I should be recovering faster than this. Okay, just remember how you dealt with electricity. He calmed his heart, lifting his body into the air and twirling, throwing the dead carcasses everywhere.

Emie and Elicora looked down. "Maybe we will find mother?" Emie said, hope sparkling in her eyes. "Maybe" Elicora said with what looked like a small smile.

The unconscious Icestorm wasn't the lightest thing Beryor had ever carried, but he was managing fine - he probably could fly with enough effort. The sound of running water grew louder - they were approaching a river running through the forest.

After some time, they had reached the river. Laying Icestorm besides the river, Beryor swiped a paw through the river and splashed Icestorm with the chilly water, right in the face. "Wakey wakey."

"Good, you're awake now." Beryor wasn't too concerned about Icestorm, but the other dragon might be worth something for helping him. "I take it I can leave you alone now?

"Are you fully recovered? Go look for your mate or something, I don't need you slowing me down or giving me away." With that, Beryor headed off.

Jade finished consuming the bear she had killed, and walked deeper into the cave to take a nap. She needed to get things off her mind anyways.

OOC: Still waiting for reply.

OOC: *slams head on table repeatedly* I suck.

"Wha? What the..?" Legend asked nobody in general, confused.

OOC: No, you're just human.


The tiny creatures began to crawl under Legend's scales, causing an intense itching sensation. Cosmii stepped backwards, her grinning widening.
