I slowly walked down the little pathway.
"Kelp?" I asked. He jumped in surprise.
"Oh. It's just you." He said, seeing me. His head was down, and he looked worried.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing." He answered, starting to walk up the path. "I'm just going to hunt."
"What are you doing?" I asked again.
"I said hunting." He told me, his patience seemed to be thin. But so was mine.
"Kelp, tell me."
He stopped, and sighed. He turned towards me. My eyes were narrowed. I was getting an answer.
"Listen, you can't come. I'm ont going to let you put yourself in this much danger. I have to do this alone. Going with me is a deathwish."
"Then suicide, here i come." I said sarcastically, and walked up to him. "Whatever you're doing, you'll need help. It'll be safer with the two of us."
"Fine." He said. "But only because I know i won't be able to keep you here." He added quickly.
We walked a long time then stopped.
"There."

I lookd up and saw a castle. It was giant, but it blended in with the surroundings so well you would only be able to see it from far distances if you knew it's exact location. Which Kelp did.
"Crap." I muttered. We're dead.
"Come on." Kelp whispered, and walked out from behind the rock we were hiding behind. I followed, keeping my steps silent.
We slipped into the castle and Kelp led me through the tons of confusing hallways. Finally, he signaled to stop. I walked up beside him, and we looked through the doorway.
"Your stupid plan failed. Not surprising. You're lucky i improved it for you."
"They've got two more dragons with them. Meghan and Kaitlyn."
"Whaaat?!" Shadow asked, furious. "Those two know quite a bit about dragons. Rose has been their friend for a long time. The group is getting bigger." her voice had worry in it. "Seperating them is out only chance. Luckily, we've already gotten rid of two."
Two? But so far the only person we'd lost was RC. Finally, it clicked in my head.

I backed up, only to hit a wall. Fyre jumped out from the doorway. He pinned down his brother.
"We don't care about him! Get the other dragon!" Shadow yelled.
I started running, my mind was scrambled. Too many coridors. And Fyre didn't seem fazed at all. Well, of corse. His home.
Finally, he stopped. "She'll come." I heard him mutter.
I gave a growl of frustration. I had to follow him. Not only did they have Kelp...i was trapped in the stupid castle.
We got to a dungeon. I hid behind a wall until Fyre left, then came back out. Kelp was locked in a cell.
"Kelp!" I said in a hushed voice.
"Desi?" He asked.
"No. I'm just your friendly neighberhood monkey here to tell you that you left your stove on." I said. "Now how do i get you out of here?"
"You have to know a special type of shadow." Kelp answered, thinking. "How do i get to both sides at the same time..."
"Hello? I know shadow, genious."
"But you havn't...oh. warehouse."
"Yep."
"You stand on that side of the cell, I stand on this side. Blow some shadow onto the bars at th esame time i do."
"Wow, can it get any more simple than that?" I asked, and walked over to the other side.
"Now." We both used shadow, and then a black mist appeared in the middle of the bars. It soon cleared away and the bars were gone.
"Cool." I said to myself.
"We've got to get out of here, before..." Kelp's voice stopped.
"Before what?" Shadow asked, standing in front of us.

Shadow walked through the endless hallways of her home. They ould easily confuse someone that didn't know their way around. One of the reasons she hadn't yet been killed.
She tried to lower her anticipation. This was her favorite time of day. When she checked up on her prisoners. There were only five at the moment, and two of them didn't do anything, so there were only technically three.
She finally came into the dungeon. She looked into the first cell. Two purple dragons layed in a pitiful heap. At first glance, someone would think they were dead, but they wern't. They were on the brink of death. It had been that way for a while.
And they deserve it. Shadow thought.
She tossed a rabbit into the cell, then moved onto the next one. This dragon was intresting. She had a lot of personality, and always showed it. Shadow was determined not to get this dragon killed. She could be a great ally, once turned dark. All the other prisoners had died while under Shadow's treatment. It took precision to corrupt a dragon. Too little strength, and a dragon can shake it off easilly, too much leads to death. As she had found it all out the hard way.
She had decided, instead, to observe this dragon first. Find out how likely it would be for her to be recuited, how strong she was, and other various things.
Shadow tossed in a deer. The dragon looked up and growled. Refusal to eat. She had seen it a million times. When the dragon got hungry, she would eat.
And onto the last two prisoners. Shadow smiled.
"And how are you two doing?" Shadow asked softly, insultingly.
"Fantastic. Never better!" The female answered.
"What do you want, Shadow?" The male dragon asked.
"You two are going to come with me."
"Yeah, in your dreams." He answered. "I bet by the time you open these bars we'll be gone."
"You heard her." The female told him. "The ugly evil queen wants to talk with us elsewhere." She bowed, then looked up, smirking.
She will soon pay for these insults. Shadow thoughtm trying not to rip the female dragon's throat out. What use would she be of then?
"Come with me. And if you so much as think of escaping, I'll make you wish you were never born."

"Too late." I saw Kelp mouth the words. I tried not to laugh.
I was still begging myself not to laugh about that insult i made to shadow. The rage in her eyes was priceless.
We finally entered a giant room with moonlight shining into it. Kelp suddenly looked distressed, and I knew in about a second all heck was about to break loose.
We stood in the center of the room, and then Shadow faced us. Fyre came up behind us, blocking the door.
"So, Kelp. I want to know, why did you decide to change sides?" Shadow asked.
"I did what was right." He answered.
"Why don't you explain this to your little friend, then?"
"He doesn't need to explain anything to me!" I yelled.
"Then, I guess you'll wonder why you were betrayed."
"What?" I said in disbelief, and stook a step back. "You were the one that was betrayed!"
"That is what it seems like, isn't it?" Shadow asked m esoftly. "But, life isn't always what it seems. People can be easily tricked, and even sometimes, threatened." She growled the last word, and Kelp flinched. "And you, my dear, are on the side that has been tricked."
Kelp pinned me down, and i struggled to get up.
"You flithy backstabbing little traitor!" I yelled, and kicked him off of me. I heard the thud of his body hitting the ground.
I walked towards him, but he stayed on the ground, not trying to defend himself.
"Why aren't you fighting back?!" I asked, then froze. This was all too familiar. I started to realize how each Spyro game ending was nearly the same, exept with something new happening each time. All three times Cynder and Spyro were forced to fight eachother. In TEN Cynder refused to fight. In DOTD Spyro refused to fight. And here i was, fighting Kelp, and he was refusing to attack me. Just like in DOTD. Everything had happened as before. Even when Kelp turned against Shadow, she had called him a traitor. Just like I had.
Kelp must have givin up hope. Lik eSpyro did. And he thought no one would show any kindness to him. Just like Cynder.
Everything had happened. Exept one thing. I knew i was cornered. Nothingcould stop what was going to be the final part in this ending. I turned towards Shadow, knowing this was it. But, the least i could do was apologize.
"I'm sorry." I shispered to kelp.
"No, don't."
"I have no choice." I tear went down my face, and to me it seemed sort of similar to a quote from DOTD.
If i go down, i'm going down with a fight. I thought to myself, then ran towards shadow, prepared to attack. But she pushed me aside with her paw and my body went limp.
Kelp watched me, his eyes wide.
Pain shot through my body, and i yelled. It felt like i was being split into two, yet I was still one person. My vision was hazed with red. I only wanted one thing.
To kill.
My other side tried to get through, but it was subdued. I felt like I was trapped within my own body, and I was forced to do whatecer my other side wanted. My dark side was in control.
Shadow smiled. "Perfect."
"No!" Kelp yelled.
I saw him get up, but he didn't know what to do. I struggled to get loose, just for a second.
"Kelp...tell my friends...i'm sorry..." I muttered weakly, then I was pushed to the back of my mind, where i was forced to watch everything happen.
"We don't have any need of him."
I nodded, then grabbed Kelp and flew out of the top of the castle. Then, I dropped him.
"Good riddance." I whispered, and smiled.

@solister: i do not know. but this game can make you cry on most of the levels. (i was able to withstand crying through watching a walkthrough of it on youtube. last night i thought about everything sad on it and i finally cried.) I can give you examples. ._.

We packed up our things and prepared to take flight. We were all worry-free at this point. We easilly scared off Fyre yesterday. What else could go wrong?
I knew exactly what was going to go wrong.
I glanced behind me. He said he's come at about this time. What was taking him so long?
Finally, I heard wing beats. Just in time.
"Stop." Rose whispered. "Hear that?"
"Fyre!" Kaitlyn said.
"Here to get his butt kicked again, I presume?" Karen asked.
He landed calmly, like nothing was happeneing.
"So, are you going to come with me, or put up a fight?" He asked us.
"We'll go with the second option." I answered.
Just like we planned.
He lunged for me, and I dodged quickly. His foot slipped and a few pebbles dropped. Seeing he was on a cliff, he quickly walked away from it.
Rose silently walked behind Fyre. He sensed she was there.
I looked at him and he blinked, the code for yes.
I jumped at him. He dodged at the last second, and my eyes widened in fake fear. I barreled into Rose, and she fell. I pur my feet on the ground and slid to the edge of the cliff. She would be dead soon.
I heard her hit the water, and I took a sharp breath in. Determination flowed through my blood, and I jumped.
"Rose!" I yelled. Although I was scared, I felt joy for a brief moment. There was no choice but to save her now. I was winning the battle with myself, even though it was brief, it was something.
I plunged into the water, and pain flowed through me, although it wasn't from the impact. All I could do was will myself to hold my breath, and wait until i swam to the top.
But I realized, I wouldn't be able to save Rose if I gave in. I could easilly say i wasn't able to reach her.
I struggled fiercely, the most I had in my life. I couldn't let Rose die, especially if I was the one that had pushed her off that cliff. I swam down, then spotted a pink shape. I know that it's hard to see underwater, but it would take a complete idiot to not think it was Rose. I grabbed her and swam to the surface, gasping for air. I pulled her to a narrow beach about ten feet away.
Rose coughed a few times, then sat up.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yes." She answered. "Come on, let's get back to the others before they think we died." We flew to the top of the cliff and landed. All the others seemed to be okay.
"Fyre just flew away." Meghan told us.
"He knows where we're going next. Change of plans. We'll head north. We'll make all short stops from now on. And this time, we won't let Fyre figure it out."

(restart the music )
"Don't attack just yet. Wait until we get pretty far ahead." I told Fyre.
"Not too far."
"Why not? Stay right on our tails and don't be spotted. That's all there is to it."
"No, it's not that. Your world tour is ending soon. Rose is leading you towards a portal to the dragon universe."
I stayed silent.
"I don't think you're fully dark yet. I noticed how you saved Rose." I gulped. "Maybe i'll have to take you Shadow..."
"No!" I said, panicked. What happened that afternoon was highly unlikely. One-in-a-million chance. A fluke.
"Okay." Fyre said, looking at me carefully, then he flew off.

and, the story isn't over yet, but i think i have the rest of what's going to happen in my mind. just to let you know. but, like i said, there's still a little ways to go before the end.

"Your turn to sit watch." Karen told me. I yawned, then nodded. She came into the tent and i walked out. I sat in the cold, thinking to myself. I was so thankful that this journey was ending. Acting kind to this group of idiots was annoying me to no end. But it would end soon. This was it. All or nothing. We would end this victorious or dead. I was sort of glad that i was able to sit and enjoy what might be the last hours of my life. It was still and quiet. And cold, but that was to be expected in Alaska.
Everyone got up slowly. One by one. We were all stiff and tired, but that would soon be changed.
About after lunch, we all heard Sky start to freak out. We looked out, but Fyre was already walking towards us. 20 feet. 15. 10.
"Fyre." Rose said.
"Rose." He responded.
Those two words hung in the cold air.
"Hey, Rose? Did you know that there's a traitor among you?" Fyre asked cooly.
We all started to look among eachother, distressed. We were long-time friends. It didn't seem possible.
"Stop lying, Fyre." I growled.
"How can you be sure that I'm lying? How can your friends be sure that you're not the traitor?" We both stared at eachother with poisonous looks.
"Desi isn't a traitor!" Kaitlyn stood in front of me. Aww, isn't it just so cute when people are dead wrong?
Rose looked at me closely. She suddenly pulled Kaitlyn away from me. I growled.
"What?" Meghan asked, confused.
Rose and I stood staring at eachother. Now the real threat of battle was between us.
"You've got to be wrong!" Karen said. I decided to put some irony into this, and lunged at her. I scratched her neck, and she jumped back, partly from pain, partly from shock. I smiled. Blood started to fall into the snow.
Then the battle started.
Kaitlyn lunged for me. She hit me square in the shoulders, and I fell. She pinned me down.
"Feeling embarassed?" I asked, and she became enraged. We wrestled for a while, but then finally I got free. I attacked the person closeset to me. Alondra. She scratched my leg, and I bit the end of her tail. While she turned around to attack me, I let go. She ended up biting air. I came back to attack, but was toppled over by the still furious Kaitlyn. This time we were no-nonsense. We fought with our elements. My wing felt extreme burns, Kaitlyn was nearly givin a heart-stopping electric shock. My back leg was slowed and numbed by poison. I growled and gave her a minor case of frost-bite. While she was trying to un-freeze her legs, I surveyed the damage. Fyre was lying unconcious. That left moi. And I'm not that great against five people.
Rose whacked me so hard that i was almost out cold. After a minute or two, they left. Fyre opened an eye, then stood up. I was furious. He left me to fight alone!
He walked up to me. He knew that I was still awake.
"You're not a help to us anymore."
He shot poison onto me. I was in immense pain. I fought to stay awake. Closing my eyes would mean one thing.
I'm dying. I thought. I'm dying. The pain was soon replaced with numbness. Maybe death won't be too bad...
