Ryuk thought for a moment, "there are no limitations to my power. I can do anything and everything, plus I'm immortal. So, yes."

"Well there's obviously going to be some way to kill you," Gladion grumbled.

Ryuk stiffened, reluctant to tell a stranger how to kill his entire realm. "Yes, I suppose there is one," he began, eyeing Gladion. "Why do you care so much though?"

"I just don't like the idea of some all-powerful death god that can do whatever they like with absolutely no weaknesses," Gladion shrugged.

"Well my one weakness is a powerful goddess, so I wouldn't bet on being able to kill me that easily," Ryuk relaxed, letting his wings appear from his back.

Gladion raised an eyebrow at that but made no comment.

"Just go to bed kid," Ryuk groaned, wanting to left in peace as he waited for Phosphora. "I helped you, that's enough help from me."

"Whatever," Gladion muttered, sitting against a tree.

"There are beds," Ryuk gestured to one of the buildings, "in there."

"I'm sure whoever's in there will react great to waking up with some random stranger sleeping in the same room as them," Gladion said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. His voice got considerably quieter as he added, mostly to himself, "Not that I'd be sleeping anyway, so I'd just be staring at them."

Ryuk thought for a moment, "that last part would be creepy. But everyone's used to sky-people now, so you won't be a surprise."

"Sure," Gladion rolled his eyes. "I'd rather just stay away from them for now."

"Suit yourself," Ryuk floated back toward a new area, waiting for morning.

The sun started to rise over the horizon. A few people started to get up, and Gladion, despite having said he wasn't likely to fall asleep, had fallen asleep against the tree.

Asuna's eyes fluttered open, the nearly unbearable pain still remaining. "Are you kidding me?" She stood and walked to the food hall, using her magic to summon food, completely unaware of the stranger in the camp.

Natsu stretched before heading to bed, finally tired enough to sleep.

Mikasa stood after Asuna had left, she had woken almost as soon as she had fallen asleep and ended up awake most of the night. Ignoring the pain, she walked out of the room only to see a blond man sleeping outside. She drew two of her swords and pointed them at him whilst kicking him awake. "When did you get here? Who are you?"

Lucina got up and went to the food hall, sitting down and grabbing some food.

Gladion stared up at the girl who was kicking him with a cry of surprise upon waking up. He instinctively tried to retreat from her. "That's none of your business," he snapped.

Asuna sat next to Lucina, wincing in pain as she ate. "I hate to waste our time on this, but I think me and a few others are in extreme pain from yesterday's attack," she commented, hoping Lucina would know if there was anyone who could help her.

Mikasa's eyes narrowed, "it's my business if you appear in my camp with my people. Who are you," she moved one sword behind Gladion's neck and the other in front, trapping him in place.

"The only one who might possibly be able to help that I know of would be Henry, he knows a lot more about dark magic than I do," Lucina shrugged. "I don't really know anyone else here well enough to say for sure."

Gladion froze. "Why do you need to know that badly?" he said.

"Do you mind talking to him about it?" Asuna asked, smiling.

"For the same reason you don't want to tell me," Mikasa replied, kneeling in front of Gladion.

"I don't have a problem with it," Lucina nodded. She got up to go talk to Henry about it.

Gladion tried to stay still so as not to die, though his hands were shaking. He tried to calm himself down, she wouldn't kill him if he told her his name. "Gladion," he mumbled.

(I mean I assume the swords are still there)

Mikasa put her swords away, her eyes blank. "Was that so hard? Come on then, I should take you to Asuna and Lucina."

Gladion didn't move. He wasn't sure if he was supposed to or not, and Mikasa was honestly rather intimidating.

(Seriously tho she's scary)

Mikasa put her hand on Gladion's back, semi-pushing him toward the food hall.

Viridi jolted up, looking around. With a sigh, she stood and stretched. She couldn't remember where she had come from, so she began walking in a random direction in hopes of finding something to eat.

"I can walk, you know," Gladion growled. He started walking towards the food hall reluctantly.

Dark Pit blinked awake rather slowly, only to be fully woken by the absence of a certain goddess of nature. Thinking she'd probably gotten herself kidnapped, he went after her.

Mikasa pushed Gladion into the hall and over to Asuna, who was sitting at a table. "New sky-person. Beware, you made need your sword for this to go well."

Asuna frowned at Mikasa before she sat down to begin eating. Asuna patted the space next to her as a motion for Gladion to sit down. "What's your name?"

Viridi tensed as she heard footsteps behind her and she turned around. Getting ready to use her powers, she glared at where the noise was coming from.

Gladion hesitantly sat down, looking briefly at Asuna's sword as he did so. He didn't respond to the question right away, just trying to compose himself. "Gladion," he said eventually.

Dark Pit (I assume that was him) saw Viridi up ahead and breathed a sigh of relief.

"You seem tense," Asuna commented, gesturing to the food. "Have some."

Viridi finally noticed who it was and rolled her eyes, "what are you doing here?"

Gladion stared at it for a while, before taking a small piece of bread. He ate it slowly, though he did eat it.

Dark Pit shrugged. "You're the one who ran off."

Asuna gave a warm smile, "I'm Asuna. Me and Lucina are in charge of this place. Before you ask, no, we don't know where it is or how we got here or how to get back. Now, what are your questions? I'll be happy to answer them," she noticed how slowly Gladion ate but didn't question him.

Viridi frowned, "from where? You were the one who went back to that camp!"

"Why is almost everyone carrying a sword?" the question was asked before Gladion could take it back, though he genuinely wanted to know. It made him nervous seeing that many people with weapons.

"And then I came back so you wouldn't get yourself killed," Dark Pit shrugged.

Asuna gave a light laugh, "where we come from it's required," she responded. "Take me, for example. Where I'm from, I'm trapped in a virtual reality RPG. Lucina mentioned something about war once, so that's probably why she has one."

"Why does everyone assume me being alone means I'm going to die!" Viridi answered, crossing her arms. "I'm a goddess. I can take care of myself."

"Would it be required here?" Gladion asked, hoping the answer would be no, hoping he'd be able to get by without a weapon, but knowing the answer would most likely be yes. He didn't have any Pokemon with him, and he had no other way to fight.

"Because you make stupid choices," Dark Pit pointed out.

Asuna thought for a moment, "yes, it would. Everyone needs to be able to defend themselves, especially with that angel out there."

Viridi glared at Dark Pit, "I do not! Just because I have a few wars every now and again doesn't mean I do stupid things," she shot back.

Gladion sighed. He had absolutely no way to defend himself, at least not without his Pokemon. He double checked his pockets and belt for Pokeballs, but found nothing.

Lucina walked back over to Asuna with Henry beside her. "Henry says he's seen this kind of spell before," she said.

Henry nodded. "You can just wait it out and it'll go away," he announced. "There's no way to actually tell how long you have to wait, so I'm going to try to find a way to get rid of it faster!"

"That's exactly what I mean," Dark Pit sighed.

Asuna stood, looking hopeful. "That would be nice," she responded before looking at Gladion. "Gladion, this is Lucina, the one I told you about earlier. And this is Henry, he's a dark mage. Any other questions before I show you around?"

Mikasa stood in the doorway, overhearing a bit of what Lucina said. She looked at the ground, waiting.

"What's that supposed to mean!" Viridi answered, turning in some other direction. She continued walking, still unaware as to where she was going.

Gladion shook his head. He stood, really taking in the mismatched group. It was odd and quite clearly most of them had never met before now, though everyone seemed kind of comfortable around Lucina and Asuna.

"It means that you starting wars is you making bad decisions!" Dark Pit rolled his eyes.

Asuna gestured toward the entrance, "come on, Gladion. I'll give you the tour now!" She gave him a bright smile before looking back at Lucina and Henry. "You two know the drill, have as much as you want. Oh, Lucina, can you talk to Mikasa about that guard schedule? We're really gonna need that soon," she began walking forward to show Gladion where to go.

Viridi's pace quickened, "starting wars is not a bad decision! We've had this argument a thousand times," she called back, not looking at Dark Pit as she did.

Lucina nodded, walking over to Mikasa. "Do you think we could go over the guard schedule idea again? We have more information about what we're facing now, so it'd be good to look over our strategy."

Gladion followed after a moment's hesitation, knowing he most likely would be unable to survive alone.

Dark Pit caught up to Viridi with a huff of annoyance. "It is! Especially when pretty much your entire army is still tired out from the last one!"

Mikasa nodded, her eyes dull. "The main thing is who's going when, and making sure the change in shifts goes smoothly, so we don't end up one person short," she began. "We'll switch as the sun begins to set and rise."

Asuna pointed out all of the buildings, "that's the men's sleeping area, the woman's, the men's washroom, and the woman's washroom. Over there is where most of us train," she looked at Gladion. "You've never held a weapon before, have you," she commented.

Viridi glanced down, "it's really not my fault most of the time. Other gods are me-rude to me, so they deserve to die. It's also not my fault you can't handle so much combat."

"That sounds efficient," Lucina nodded. "I'd suggest having people who switch midday and midnight too so that there are still people watching when the guards change."

Gladion shook his head. "How could you tell?" he sighed.

"It's not my fault you start like three wars a day!" Dark Pit retorted.

Mikasa nodded in agreement. "That would work," she thought for a moment, "but people tend to listen to you better than me. Do you mind discussing with Asuna who should be when, and you two handling it? I'm not very good with people in general."

Asuna smiled, "you're eyeing my sword like it's a foreign species. Come on, I'll teach you some basics. It's fun, I promise." She began leading the way to the training area.

"It's not my fault either! Maybe if you learned to kill the gods instead of only their armies it wouldn't be so difficult," Viridi snapped.

"All right," Lucina nodded.

Gladion followed Asuna, more curious than anything else.

"Oh yes, kill one of the deities in charge of doing something to keep the world working, sounds like a great idea," Dark Pit grumbled.

Asuna walked over to a rack full of training swords. She picked two wooden ones off the wall and handed one to Gladion. "Here, I'll teach you some basic defense stuff."

Viridi rolled her eyes, "it is! Then I don't have to worry about them anymore, and I'll be the only god or goddess left!"

Gladion took the wooden sword and stared at the handle. "How do you hold it?"

"Not sure that I trust you with the whole world," Dark Pit muttered.

Asuna laughed and stood behind Gladion, "put your thumb under here and wrap around it like this," she positioned his hand. "Now, there's a basic defensive stance I want you to copy," she put her right foot forward and held the sword in front of her, placing it so it was right between her two eyes, only inches away from her face.

"And why not?" Viridi asked, raising an eyebrow.

Gladion tried to imitate her position, though he was fairly sure he didn't do well at all.

"I don't know, maybe because you'd destroy it?" Dark Pit said.

Asuna tried to hide her laugh as she watched Gladion. She adjusted his position before moving back to her own. "Now, try to block this," she took a slow swing at Gladion, making it easy.

"I wouldn't destroy it," Viridi protested, "I'd only make it better! With me as the only god and with no humans."

Gladion tried to move his sword to block Asuna's. It wasn't the most effective block, but it sort of worked.

"I highly doubt it would be 'better' but whatever," Dark Pit shrugged

Asuna gave a nod of approval, "better than what I thought. Now, try again." She swung from a different angle this time, but just as slowly.

"You wouldn't ever have to see me again if I had no enemies," Viridi muttered softly.

Gladion did the same sort of thing again, his movement unsure and choppy. He felt rather out of place holding a sword, even a wooden one.

"I never said I never wanted to see you ever," Dark Pit grumbled. "Why would I have followed you if I didn't care about your survival?"
