NOTICE:

Sorry that i havent written anything after i just got done saying that i was back in writing after that short break that i had. I have mid-terms coming up and i have had to study for them; which has left me no time to write my story. as soon as this week is over (friday most likely) i will continue the story thank you to everyone that has bared with me through out this time.

ok. i'll wait. i hope you can write more soon.

We Waiting

Its ok. I know. Trouble with school homework and stuff. Its bored.

The flight over to the conference room was a quiet one. Blaze just kept both his eyes and his mouth closed. He wasn’t writhing or struggling, he seemed to just be thinking; lost in thought. Alacrity seemed to be enjoying herself, but she kept it all to herself. They landed outside of the room and Rougestone let the two down. Alacrity landed with a small thump but Blaze was still not paying attention and landed hard on the ground.
“You want to let me know before you do that?”
“I did. You just weren’t paying attention.” Rougestone answered.
The three went in and saw Bluefire was sitting under what was left of an over pass. Blaze walked in behind Rougestone and Alacrity and lied down on the floor next to the elevated, circular, slate of rock that was used mainly as a table.
“I take it that you told him.” Bluefire commented to Rougestone
“Only a little bit, but I think that he is starting to realize what’s going on.”
“Okay, so now that we found them, what now?”
Alacrity just sat down and listened.
“Well, if you do the math, the commanders are the only ones that are showing any signs of ‘possession’.”
“So that is what we are going to call it?”
“For now, Bluefire, unless you have got a better word for it.”
“No, I don’t. Continue, then.”
“What I was getting to is that they are the only ones that are showing signs of it.”
“So what?” Blaze interrupted.
“Look, will all of you just be quiet?”
They all just stared at him.
“Thank you. Now, if they are the ones that are showing these signs then that means that all of them must have had it happened to them.”
“But we have all seen them disappear in that shadow portal thing that shows up.” Alacrity said.
“Are you sure about that?”

“Huh?”
“Just count them, Alacrity. I ran into Darkmatter, Bluefire met with Komo, and you guys have had encounters with Lerna, Surge, and Sarge.”
“So…………”
“That leaves one more.”
“Tachi………” she said under her breath.
“Yes, and that is why I didn’t stop Sarge from leaving.”
“It makes sense to me.”
“So now the next thing that we need to discuss is how we are going to get to where ever those “portals” lead to, and I think I know how.”

“Well it is either you or Alacrity.”
“Why can’t you go?”
“Because the portals that open are just big enough for whomever they are meant for, and I don’t thing that I will fit into one that is meant for a Badger.”
“And you are going to find me………how?”
“As long as you are grounded, I can sense where you are. That is how I found you in the first place.”
“You could have told me that before we split up earlier.” Bluefire added.
“I have my reasons as to why I didn’t.”
“I don’t know………”
“Well, like I said, it is either you or Alacrity.”
“I’ll do it if I have to.” Alacrity agreed
“No, I’ll go.”
“Then now that that is settled, we are going to go pay a visit to Tachi.”
“But where is he?”
“Where do you think?”

“It is going to be too cramped in his shop to fight him there.” Bluefire stated.
“Agreed. Which is why one of us is going to have to lure him out.” Rougestone said.
“You already got me going to the pit of despair so I’m not doing it.” Blaze started to complain.
“No, you are right about that one. The best person to get him out is Alacrity due to her speed.”
“Okay, where do you want him, Rougestone?” Alacrity asked immediately after Rougestone said that she was going to do it.
“A bit eager, are we now?” he asked with a smile.
“Well, you did let Sarge get away, so I am a bit eager to get back at them.”
“Alright, well that is settled.”
“But where do you want him?” she asked again.
“I will tell you when it is the right time.” Rougestone answered.
“What is that supposed to mean?” she asked.
“You will find out soon enough.”

“That is what ten years will do to you. I wouldn’t be so quick to pointing out that I have changed, when you have done the same thing.”
“I know, but we can catch up on more, later.”
“We do seem to get side tracked real easily.”
“Well, when I haven’t seen my, now, brother-in-law in ten years; things are bound to happen in that time frame.”
“Right, Blaze and Alacrity are waiting for us so lets get focused on what lies ahead and like you said, we will talk more about it later.”
“Ok, let’s go Mr. Rougestone.”
“What ever you say, Mr. Bluefire.”
They both walked out of the conference room and met up with Blaze.

“Alacrity went ahead like you told her to.” he reported to them as they approached him.
“You sent her already without us?!” Bluefire asked in a suddenly worried and some what irritated tone.
“Unless you know what I am planning, than you need to just trust me.”
“If she is already over there fighting him, what are we still doing here?” asked Bluefire.
“Giving her time. If all of us show up at his door step and send in Alacrity, he is going to know that something is up. Just trust me and I think that we can get him without having to get into a serous fight.”
“This I have got to see.” Bluefire said in a sarcastic tone.
“And you are going to.” Rougestone answered him.
“Are you going to tell me where it is that you are going to lure Tachi?” Bluefire asked
“The plaza.”

“The plaza?!” asked Bluefire in an alerted tone of voice, “Why there?”
“I have my reasons, and I think that Blaze knows what they are.”
“So you let the fox in on it but not me?”
“No, he doesn’t know what I am planning either. The same goes for Alacrity. All she knows is that she is to lead him to the plaza.”
“Well, now would be a good time to explain to us what it is that you have planned.”
“You seem to be just as eager as Alacrity was before she left.”
“I am not eager; I just want to get this over with.”
“Why? Do you have plans for later?”
“Maybe I do.”
“What could be more important than what is going on right now?”
“That would be none of your business, at least it isn’t at the time being.”
“Now who is being secretive?”
“And I have a right to at the moment. So, are you going to explain why you chose the plaza?”
“In due time.” Rougestone answered Bluefire as he started walking towards the plaza.
Blaze just followed quietly since he didn’t want to say anything else after he snapped at Rougestone earlier. Blue fire just stood there and watched them.

“What are you two doing?” asked Sapphire?
“Well, you told us to find something to do-” started Solar.
“And we did.” Lunar said, finishing his sentence.
“But, I didn’t mean for you to get in trouble.” she said with an awkward look on her face.
Remus was standing in between the two youngsters with a somewhat stern look on his face. They were in the hut that was given to Sapphire and Rougestone when they stayed with the cougars earlier.
“It isn’t a big deal, Sapphire.” Remus said in the kid’s defense.
“Even so, I told them to stay out of trouble while we are staying here.” she answered him.
“It is not a problem. We will get it cleaned up in no time. We just can’t be worried that two little dragons will be playing underneath the elevated platforms that hold some of our huts up.” he gave the kids a somewhat stern yet almost relaxing look.
The youngsters just smiled back.
“You two are not going to be in trouble.” Sapphire started
“YAY!” they both cheered.
“But,” continued Sapphire, “you are going to help clean up the toppled mess.”
“Aw…” they both said at the same time again.
“They don’t have to help with that, Sapphire. I already have some of the villagers working on putting the supports back up, and the cleanup is mostly complete.”
“Then they will help with whatever cleanup is left.” Sapphire stated.
“Then let’s go you two, before they finish the cleanup.” he said as he started on his way out of the hut.
The kids just looked at him. When Sapphire noticed them not moving a muscle, she gave them a gesture with her head to follow Remus. They soon got the message and they both turned and ran outside to meet up with Remus.

Rougestone was already a good distance away from Bluefire when he called to him.
“Are you coming, Bluefire?”
“Are you going to tell me what you are planning to do in the plaza?” he snapped back.
“It is a bit difficult to explain at the moment.” he called back.
“You are stubborn like when we were kids.”
“And I am not about to change that.” Rougestone said in his own defense.
Bluefire started towards the two and called out, “I am coming, but only to see what your plan is, Rougestone.”
“That is fine. I wasn’t going to need your help until later anyway. Well hurry up. Alacrity must be getting close to the plaza by now…”

“Tachi?” Alacrity asked as she poked her head around the door frame of Tachi’s home. Tachi hadn’t fixed the door from Rougestone’s last visit and it was still lying in the same spot that Rougestone had left it in. There was no answer to her call. She then inched the rest of the way into the doorway and took a better look inside. She had only really been here once and that was just to retrieve Rougestone for the hatching of the eggs. Rougestone had told her that there were only two rooms in the building; the main “lobby” where all of the weapons were, and his bedroom that was on the second floor. She took a couple of weary steps inside and she let her eyes wander around the room, taking in the sight of all of the weapons that Tachi had accumulated. Alacrity made it to the back of the room where the sharpener’s wheel was located, but there was no sign of Tachi. Using the back wall as a form of cover, she made her way over to the metal, spiral staircase in the opposite corner to the wheel. She walked up to the beginning of the staircase and cautiously placed a paw on the first step. She then put her weight on the paw and nothing happened, she was anticipating a trap of some kind. Seeing that nothing happened, she found herself climbing the stairs one by one. She made it about three fourths of the way up the steps when the metal supporting the staircase gave away, causing it to fall on itself with Alacrity in the middle of it. The collapse left a motionless pile of rubble in the middle of the lobby.

Bluefire had caught up to the two creatures and started questioning Rougestone again.
"Do you really think that this is going to work?" he started.
"Well, it is going to have to if we are going to get to the bottom of this hole thing."
"For everyone's sake, i hope that you are right about this." Bluefire answered in a cold tone of voice.
"You are most unpredictable." Rougesotne answered him.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Well, back at the conference room you were acting all stubborn like and now you are 'Mr. Doom-and-Gloom'. There is something going on with you."
"Not really, there hasnt been much going on at all since you left all of those years ago........"
There was a slight pause before Rougestone spoke.
"Well, whether it be me, your sister, or anyone else that you trust, you can always talk to someone, but i dont thing that now is the right time."
"Why?" asked Blaze.
Blaze was finally starting to speak after his long period of silence.
"Because we are here at the plaza."

"Well?" asked Bluefire
"Well what?" replied Rougestone "I dont see Alacrity yet so all that we can do is wait."
"Wait?"
"Yes, wait."
"Do you think that one of us should go and see if she is ok?"
"That wont be necessary. She can handle it herself. Just give her some time."

(the reason that this one was so short was because i used it to bring the story back over to Alacrity's situation there will be more soon)

The comotion that the falling staircase caused, caused something to stir in Tachi's room. The door opened to a crack and a blackish grey blur shot from the opened door, ricoched off of the opposite wall and landed a couple of feet from the pile of rubble.
"I guess that my building wasnt that safe ater all." Tachi said, but with a distinct change in his voice. He was stading on his hind legs with his sword slung on his back, unaware as why the stairs collapsed.
"Well, i guess that that is one more thing for this old fool to fix if he ever gets back. This city is falling appart. I am stating to wonder why I called off the army. A couple more minutes and the city would have been just like the staircase here; a pile of rubble. But had I not called off the army, the inhabitants would just relocate and I wouldn't have gotten the chance to meet Rougestone. Although, I do wonder what it would be like to meet him face-to-face."
Tachi was still standing near the pile when it stirred just the slightest bit.

"Ah, I see now. I knew that this place was unstable, but i also figured that this staircase wouldnt have fallen unless provoked by another being climbing it." he drew his sword from his back and let tip of it lightly hit the ground, "You know, i never really got to see how feels to fight with this kind of weapon." he said while staring down to the blade's ending point, almost admiring it. "Let's try it now, shall we?" he asked the pile of rubble as he swung the blade up and then sent it crashing into the mangled mess of metal on the floor.

The blade effortlessly sailed through the pile and struck the ground beneath it.
“Well then. I guess that I can be wrong about some things…”
“What do you mean?” asked a feminine voice from the other side of the once staircase.
Alacrity was standing on the opposite side of the rubble from Tachi. Her once orange fur was now covered in dust and dirt from the collapse. The one thing that was really noticeable was how just the change in her fur color brought out the fire in her deep hazel eyes. She shook once but the most of the dirt stayed where it was on her coat. The shaking only shook small specks of dirt in multiple directions.
“Quite a mess you’ve got here.” she said as the fur on her back stopped moving.
“It looks like I have you to thank for that.”
“Cut the charades. I know that you aren’t Tachi.”
“Ah yes, you and your little group have figured that much out, but not enough to know what is truly going on.”
“Well you sure haven’t let on about anything that has happened.”
“That is the point my dear fox. Why would I leak information on what I am planning to do? That just doesn’t seem right.” Tachi said with a small chuckle afterwards. “I am not like Oblivion. That pompous dragon never seemed to stop talking.”
“Oblivion?”
“Yes, Oblivion. What has Rougestone told you? Apparently he hasn’t said much about his past.” he said starting to get irritated about having to repeat himself.
“Was he supposed to tell us something?”
“How the heck should I know? I just figure that he would have shared something about himself that ties into this.”

hey dude looks like long time you didn't online. Yeah same as me. And nice story dude.

“Are you sure that he knows something about this?” Alacrity asked, now intrigued by his last statement.
“He should, but now really, who do I owe the pleasure to of having a filthy fox in my home?”
“Who do you think?” she asked, now irritated at his last comment.
“Well, that was pretty obvious now that I think about it. So he is still in town. I thought that he would have left with the kids. Where they went; I have no clue, but I do know that they aren’t here.”
“And you said that you didn’t like to talk.” Alacrity said sarcastically.
“Is there something that you want? I am tired of talking as much as I have already and to tell you the truth, the sound of your voice is getting annoying.”
“Well, then, there is one way to fix that.” she said as she started to approach Tachi.
“You’re going to challenge me?”
“Why not? You said that you were tired of talking.”
“As long as you are aware that there is no mercy rule if you fight me.”
“Fine by me.” she said as she lowered herself closer to the ground with a grin.

“I guess that asking ‘How much longer?’ would be kind of pointless.”
“You’d be right on that one.”
The wait was finally starting to get to Bluefire and he was now pacing back and forth a couple of feet away from Rougestone. Rougestone was just sitting and waiting. He was thinking, like Blaze was, who was lying on the ground next to him only he was kicking a rock from one of his paws to the other. While he was lost in thought, Blaze remembered his run in with that other dragon after the fight with Lerna.
“Rougestone!” Blaze shouted as he stood up.
Rougestone just opened his eyes and looked down at the tiny creature.
“Do you remember when I told you that we ran into Lerna a while back?”
“Yeah, I remember you mentioning that.”
Blaze now had both of Rougestone’s and Bluefire’s attention.
“Well, something happened after the fight.”
“Is it important?” Rougestone asked
“To you it is.” Blaze answered
“Me?” interrupted Bluefire.
“No,” Blaze said while shooting a dirty look at Bluefire. Blaze was annoyed at him because he wouldn’t keep quiet earlier, “it is important to Rougestone.”
“Well, what is it?”
Blaze jumped up onto a rock that Rougestone was sitting next to and stood up on his hind legs bracing his front legs on Rougestone’s neck. He then whispered what he was told to tell Rougestone.
