okay, i have evaded danger. () and now time for a new chapter!

"Ice cream coooooooooone!" Shorty said excitedly.
"We're almost there, Kaitlyn. Calm down." I told her, rolling my eyes. I had told her I'd buy her an ice cream cone once we got to Las Vegas. She'd been saying ice cream cone for the past 20 minutes and it was driving me crazy.
"Now you see the true crazyness of my sister." Night said, and Shorty stayed quiet. For 20 seconds, but still.
"Okay, i see a Baskin Robins over there." I told her, and she nearly stopped flying in excitement. I made a mental note not to say i was getting ice cream for her.
We weren't technically in Vegas yet, we were flying over a small town near it. But there was an ice cream shop, and i really wanted Kaitlyn to shut up, so ice cream shop in suberbs it was.
We walked out of the ice cream shop, holding our frozen treats. Shorty had forced me to buy her the giant $8.00 cone with sprinkles near the top. But, out cash supply didn't look smaller than when we found it, so i didn't really care.
We ate out ice cream comes, then moved on. By foot. The further we went, the more houses and shops we encountered, and it's not really a good idea to be spotted in dragon form, if you havn't figured out by now.
We stopped and stared into the shop windows. But we all knew that we had to save our money. Who knew how long we were going to stay here?

"I'm starting to regret coming to Las Vegas." Night said."I expected it to be a lot more fun than this."
I felt the exact same way. We passed by every store and didn't buy a thing. Okay, actually, we bought a giant tent, but whatever. Other than that, we bought nothing.
Rose was already sleeping inside the tent. Kaitlyn was lying down halfway inside the tent. Night was sitting in a tree. I was leaning against that tree, and Alondra was sitting near the fire. And, if you're wondering why there was a tree, it's because we found a forest away from the city.
Suddenly, i realized something.
"Where's Karen?" I asked.
A bush rustled, and we were all instantly prepared to fight. And, how ironic, Karen walked out from the bush. We relaxed for a second, until it registered with our brains what Karen looked like.
Her hands were covered in blood, and she was holding a giant stack of money. Blood was spattered on her face, too. She was grinning in such a way that it was flat down scary.
"Karen, what are you doing?" I asked, keeping my emotions out of my voice. I was amazed that i didn't fail that time.
Karen looked at me, then at the money, then back at me.
"Not you." She said in a tone of voice in hadn't heard in a long time. It should've been a relief, at least a little bit, to see Karen back to her old self, but it wasn't. Who knew if she really was? The Karen i knew wouldn't possibly murder someone for money we already had enough of.
That, and answer was...yeah...
Night, Alondra, and I just stared. It took Shorty a few seconds, but she realized what Karen meant, and stared at her.
About three minutes into our little stare-a-palooza, we were interrupted.
"Why are you looking at her like that?" I heard Sky's voice. Oh, yeah, forgot about the random dragonfly Alondra picked up.
"Everybody's gotta be judgemental! Sheesh!" Karen said defensively. She was soo lucky Rose was asleep.
"You know what, i'm not even going to comment. About what you just did, and the reply you just gave me.
We were all silent, Karen and I staring eachother down.
And leave it to Kaitlyn to break up a tense moment.
"Rubber chicken!" She yelled, and threw a rubber chicken at my face.
"Woah, what the..."I said before i tasted rubber.
Karen burst out laughing.
I threw the rubber chicken at her face.
Then we were all lunging for the chicken, throwing it at eachother, and laughing. Even Sky was flying around us, happy.
Yep. That's how we solve our problems. Chuck a rubber chicken and the world becomes a better place.

Karen made me put in the part about her hands being bloody, and when she said "not you." I did not think of that.

cool... but I'm kind of worried about the bloody face.

"Desi, wake up!"
I opened my eyes. "Wha-" I asked, then yawned. I could tell the sun wasn't up yet.
"We need to leave. Now." I heard Alondra's voice. Sky was flying around, but she was freaked out. Nothing scares her. That's when i knew something really bad was happening. I kept myself from going crazy with fear.
"What happened?" I asked, shoving my sleeping bag in my backpack. I put on my shoes, then stepped outside. Alondra didn't answer.
I saw everybody was skittish, but Rose and Karen were pacing.
"What happened?" I asked again.
Karen looked at me. "The police are after us. Again. Turns out that after i robbed the meat shop, someone saw me walk out. They called the police, and now they're following us. And, worse, before i robbed the place someone apparently died in there, so now it's assumed that i killed the person."
"Crud." I said.
Meghan and Kaitlyn put down the tent, and Meghan handed it to Alondra. Hey, we'd only been all together for three days, and we were already thinking the same. Teamwork!
"You all go ahead. I'll catch up." Rose said.
"No." I said. I had just said no to Rose. What the heck.
"I can't let any of you get caught." Rose answered, sounding more leader-ish than she had yesterday.
"You can't get caught. Karen walked out of that meat shop with blood on her hands. If you're the one caught, you'll get a worse sentence than jail. Besides, no one should be left behind now. We've had plenty experiences of being seperated, and we're still missing RC!" I snapped. "If you stay behind, I'm not leaving."
Yay, short lecture givin to adult. I'm wondering if i was sane at that time.
I flew out of the forest, and the others followed. Weather they thought i was leading or trying to break away again, i don't know.
"Desi, i don't think you needed to be like that ro Tose. She's the smartest of all of us." Night said, flying up to were I was.
I didn't respond, the feelings i had last night had vanished and been replaced with anger, annoyance and anger. I needed to punch someone. I wished for Fyre to come by. I'd kicked his butt before, no doubt i could do it again. And, after hours of fantasizing of beating up Fyre, we finally stopped.

"There it is!" Shorty said excitedly.
I looked out and saw a giant city, with clear water behind it. My anger faded away. San Fransisco was beautiful.
I was so excited, i thought i was going to pass out. I tried not to start flying around like a crazed maniac. It was harder than you think.
Wow, I fail.
We flew over the water for a second. Then we landed on an empty area of beach. I took of my backpack and jumped in. So did the others. We had a contest to see who could hold their breath underwater the longest.(okay, I actually cheated and used wind to keep myself from drowning)
I flew into the air, then started to fall, getting closer and closter to hitting the water. A second before the impact, i used Ice to make a sphere around me. I put my feet down on the cold surface. The ice was thin enough that i could see through it. Being underwater was strange, but so cool. I was fish swim by, and there was a coral reef. After a minute or two, I broke the ice and came out of the water.
We stayed around the beach and swam the entire day. Once it started getting dark, we made a fire and dried off. I felt like I had the night before.
There was a small feeling that something bad was going to happen, but I completely ignored it.
Of corse, I should've known better.

i don't easily admit someone being smarter than me, considering that i make straight 'A' averages and have been in 'A'-B+' honor role since the dawn of time. Be warned to any who call me dumb, you may find an E-mail bomb.

I was grabbed and shoved into a bag. I didn't see who did it but i had a pretty good idea.
Really? A bag? I thought. Wow, I swear, he's getting dumber by the second.
I tried to burn through the bag. Nothing.
Okay, not so dumb. I thought. I didn't really have any other helpful elements, unless i learned earth right that second.
I started getting angry. I struggled, trying to break free. My anger kept growing. I needed to get out of there.
I heard a laugh, but then it turned to a grunt and pain went to my side. The bag was opened and i crawled out.
"You okay?" Kaitlyn asked.
"Yeah." I answered, although my side still ached a little. It would go away soon enough.
"Wow, Fyre is gettin ghis butt kicked...I'm in!" She laughed and ran to where Fyre was getting pummled.
Finally, he growled and flew off. But he looked at me, his eyes furious, yet there was a look of happiness in them. He had won, although it didn't seem like it, I knew somehow this was his victory.
"Are you okay?" Karen asked me.
"Yep." I answered again. Although i was worried. Something had happened. And, worse, i had no idea what it was, which was even more scary. I tried to calm down. It worked pretty quickly.
We all packed up and went to hawaii.
