"well, i have all of those, plus the dark elements, like shadow, fear, wind, and poison, i also have another power that very few dragons have, its called empathy, its activated through emotions, if i get really mad, like raging mad, i glow solid red, even my eyes, then i unleash i powerful fury, that very few can survive, i'm very dangerous when i get emotional!" she said

'But, what am i then?.....................Im not any of the normal types, im not dark, and im not and empathy one. What am i?............' He said to her, still trying to find out who he was.

"i can't tell you, because i don't know either" she said, "but, i do know, that your parents were right, you have a special power, one that no one has ever seen before! we'll firgure out what it is, somehow"

'But, how did they know if no one has seen it?..............' He knew that his qeustion couldnt be answered, not by Fireflight, not by anyone. He wondered what he was for a while, but then went back into the cave as it started raining outside.

Fireflight went inside too, she kept thinking about what Nightfire might be, "i wish you were here Silro, you would know what to do!" she said to herself

'Its a shame we cant just ask them..............then we would know' He said to fireflight.

Fireflight looked at him, "your right, but if Silro wanted me to take care of you, then he must have known that i could have done a good job!"

He didn't reply, he just sat there. 'Powerless' he Thought to him self.

The next day, Nightfire went and had a wonder about. He was finding domething to do. He searched for over an hour and found nothing, so dicided to go to get a drink from the lake. He walked for ten minuets before finding it. As he drank, he wondered why he couldnt use his powers. He than stopped and wondered, still looking at the water. He didnt realize it, but someone wasnt to far away from him. He sat, looking at the water wondering.
'Whats the matter? You scared of water?' A female voice asked. Nightfire came out of his trance and looked at where he thought he heard the voice come from.
'No, im just..........' He said turning, stopping as he saw her.
'What? Why are you looking at me like that?' Nightfire shook his head and looked back at her.
'Sorry, i just, didnt expect.........uhhh......' She then looked at him to say she was waiting.
'You didnt expect..........what?' Nightfire then looked back at her.
'It's just, everyone i know, i mean, well, i just.... didnt expect you to be like that.......' She then looked at him curiously.
'What? Feathered?' She was right. Unlike everyone that Nightfire knew, she had feathers instead of scales. White feathers, with a shade of blue on her chest.

She had two horns, which followed her down her neck for about ten centimetres. She was beutiful.
'Yeah, i thought you would have scales........why do you have feathers anyway?' He asked continuing to look at her. She sat next to him.
'I dont know, and i dont think i will........' She replied.
'Why?' He asked, curious.
'I never knew my parents, they were killed before i hatched.' She said looking down, upset.
'Oh, sorry............i didnt mean to...'
'It's ok. You didnt know that.' She interupted.
'Accutly, i thought you had lost them after you said you never would.' He said.
'Why's that then?' He took a small time to answer.
'Well, thats what happened to me. I hatched not knowing where my parents were.' He said looking down aswell and looking a small bit sad.
'How did you know they, well, passed away then?' He looked up again.
'I went searching for them after some time, and while i was searching, i found this red dragon, her name was Fireflight. Anyway, i asked her what she was doing, wondering if i could help, and i couldnt, but she said her name was Fireflight, and i said mine was Nightfire...'
'Nightfire? Thats a nice name' She interupted again.
'Thank you. But anyway, i went off searching for them again, and not far from Fireflight, i found my dad laying down. I ran up to him thinking i finally found him, but when i jumped in front of him..........he had.......' He said, starting to look like he would cry. 'He had blood all over his chest....'
'Oh no.......' She said, realizing the sadness he had been in.
'But fireflight came beside me and told me he died not long ago....... about fifteen minuets ago. I just couldnt bare it, i just ran from him and Fireflight. I tried to find my mom, but fireflight flew beside me and told me that my dad said to her she was killed. I lost the chance to know my parents, to know who i am, and to learn my powers......' She then looked at him.
'You....dont know your powers yet? I'll teach you if that will help?' Nightfire looked at her.
'That's the thing, my parents left me a note on saying how to use them, but no matter how i did them, i even followed them down to the letter! but nothing happened, i showed fireflight, and she wasnt sure either.......' She paused for a small time.
'So you dont know what type you are either?'
'No, only that im the only one of it.' She then realized they had something in common.
'Well, to be honest, i......dont have any powers either.' Nightfire looked at her confused.
'What do you mean? Can you breath fire or something?' She then looked at him making an obvious face. 'Oh right, the feathers.'
'Yeah, but i cant anyway. All i know of my parents is that they were an ice dragon, and a earth dragon...'
'My parents were an ice dragon and a dark dragon.'
'Explains the colour then...' Nightfire then looked at her.
'You know something, we both lost our parents, we dont know how to use our powers, and were both different in a major way.' She looked at him.
'You know, i think we can get along with each other.' Nightfire then looked at her.
'I think you're right.' He then realized that Fireflight was asleep before he left. She could be worried about him. 'Oh no! Fireflight! I forgot about her! Listen, i need to go....She's meant to be looking after me!' He then got up still looking at her, forgetting where he was. He then began running.
'Nightfire! Wait! You'll run into...' He didnt look away and ran strait into the river. Thankfully it wasnt moving. He made a loud noise when he entered, making her laugh. 'The river!' Nightfire then got up, soaking wet and turned around.
'I forgot, she's this way!' He then burst out laughing too. He then got up again.
'Oh, before i go.... what can i call you?'
'Me? you can call me.......well, accutly i dont know what my parents named me if anything.......call me Snowfeather!' She said as he left. Nightfire ran back to Fireflight to see her just wake up.

Fireflight yawned as she woke up and then saw Nightfire, "good morning Nightfire!" she said, "i see your up early, did you have trouble sleeping, or did you just wake up early, and decide to go for a walk or something?" she asked

'I just met someone like me! Only.............she has feathers instead of scales!'

Fireflight looked at him, a little confused, "well, thats intresting! i've never met a dragon with feathers before, what is she like?"

'Like me, she doesnt know where her parents are cant use her powers'

Fireflight was more intrested now, "well, this is very intresting! so, dose this female dragon, have a name?"

'Well, she didnt know her name, but told me to call her Snowfeather'

"thats a nice name!" she said, still intrested, "do you think, maybe, i could meet her"

'Yeah, shes not far away, she's...'
'Right behind you!' Nightfire jumped because of her closness. Fireflight saw Snowfeather and how she was different.

Fireflight looked at her, "well, Nightfire wasn't kidding when he said you had feathers! but, please, come in! i'm Fireflight! you must be Snowfeather!"

'Yes. So, you're the one who's been helping Nightfire?'

"i am! his father told me to take care of him, just before he died"

'I know, he told me. Its a shame he didnt get a chance to meet him.......'

"yeah, Silro was a great dragon!" she said, looking a little sad

'I wish i knew who my parents were, i want to know why i dont have scales, but feathers.......plus i want to know my powers'

Fireflight looked at her, "you mean they didn't leave you a note, or anything?"

'No, all i know is that one of them was Ice, the other was earth.....'

"i'm sorry, i was fortunate enough to know my parents, so, how did you find out one was ice and the other was earth?"

'I just knew, i dont know why, but i hatched knowing that'

"thats intresting, well, if you want to, you can both come to my home, its not far from here" she said, she wanted to go home, and see Bluefire

'Ok, i dont mind that. I really have no where else to go........Wait, who's bluefire?' She asked. Nightfire wondered the same thing.

Fireflight looked at both of them, "Bluefire is my brother, and about the only family i have left, everyone else in my family..............is dead!" she said, feeling sad now

'Oh, im sorry......' Snowfeather quickly replied.

'Oh, im sorry......' Snowfeather quickly replied.

Fireflight looked at her, "its ok, you didn't know! i do miss my duaghter though.........................." she said

Ahh!! double post! That only happend to you though......

'Well,...i think we should see Bluefire, to get to know him. Im sure that me and Nightfire could do with knowing more people.

"yes, we should get going! its been awhile since me and my brother have had other dragons back home! he would be happy to meet you!" she said, then she started flying towards home

'You coming Nightfire?' She asked.
'Yeah, i'll be right behind you.' After hearing this, Snowfeather opened her wings. Nightfire thought that they made her more beutiful. She flew like Nightfire and Fireflight did, so nothing changed there.

"hurry up you two! we're almost there!" said Fireflight, she was leading them to the temple, where Bluefire was waiting, she landed outside the temple, and waited for Snowfeather and Nightfire

Nightfire flew beside Snowfeather and kept on looking at her. Snowfeather began to land at the temple. Nightfire didnt realize where he was headed.
'Nightfire, look ahead of you...' Snowfeather said.
'Huh, what' He looked in front of him to see him close to a wall, not reacting quick enough to move away. He hit the wall and fell onto the floor. Snowfeather just laughed again.
'You outta look where you're going.....Nightfire'

Fireflight looked at him, "are you ok?" she asked, trying not to laugh, "if you two are ready, then lets go in, and meet Bluefire!" she said

'Im ready' Snowfeather said as she walked with Fireflight.
Nightfire looked and then followed her.

Fireflight led them inside, they walked into a large room, where they saw a dark blue dragon reading some books, "Bluefire, i would like you to meet, Snowfeather and Nightfire!" she said, he looked up
"ah! visitors! its been awhile since other dragons have been here! welcome to the temple! i'm Bluefire! i'm sure that Fireflight has told you about me, right?" he asked

'Well once, i only heard about you not long ago, then again, i didnt see Nightfire until this morning.' Snowfeather replied. Bluefire was a bit shocked because she had feathers instead of scales, but didnt show it.

Nightfire came running behind Snowfeather and Fireflight.
'Hey Snow! You left me behind!' He said, not sounding angry.
'What's with this Snow then?' She asked, wondering why he called her that.
'Well, because your name does seem a bit long, plus i keep calling you Snow...'

"oh, i see, well it is nice to meet you! me and Fireflight love having other dragons at the temple, but its been empty for some time, your welcome to stay for as long as you like!" he said
"i think they will be staying!" said Fireflight, "oh, Bluefire, this is Nightfire and Snowfeather, Nightfire is Silro's son!" she said
"oh! i've been waiting for Fireflight to return with you! Silro was like family to us, so he asked us to take care of you, but i'm sure Fireflight told you that already!" he said "but, i wasn't expecting another dragon" he said, looking at Snowfeather "have you always had feathers?"

'Well, for as long as i remember. But i dont know why i do...' She replied, wondering if he knew anything about her reason for having feathers.

"do you know why she has them, Bluefire?" asked Fireflight, Bluefire thought for a moment
"hmm.....................i've never met a dragon with feathers, maybe i can find some books in the library, i'll go check!" he said, as he went to the library
"well, while thats being taken care of, is anyone hungry?" she asked

'Im fine for the minuet. Im just going to be outside.' She said as she walked off out into the entrance, laying down.
'Fireflight.............. have you ever loved someone?'

"well, there are alot of dragons that i cared about, but your talking about male/female love arn't you?" she said, she had noticed the way Nightfire looked at Snowfeather, it reminded of her of dragons that she had loved, "all the dragons i loved are dead now, but i was married to a blue dragon named Quietfire, he and i, we had a duaghter named Starfire together, then they were killed.................." she said

Nightfire looked back at Fireflight.
'Did you know that you loved them when you saw them?'

Fireflight looked at him, "yes, they felt the same way, but sometimes its hard to get a relationship started, because sometimes the other person you love may love you back, but they probally don't know that you love them, so they're worried to say anything, because they don't want to get thier hearts broken" she said, "i've only loved two dragons in my life, they were both killed, and there was nothing i could do to help them, Nightfire i don't want the same thing to happen to you, no one should have to lose the ones that they love" she said
