the difference is this is a site and people disagreeing with you shouldn't hurt your delicate little feelings so badly. it is absolutely hilarious when i see a user leave because they were "bullied" on this site or some stupid ****. or when they leave because the people on this site are "mean." all it takes is to click off of a topic and not reply. all it takes is to block users and not respond to them. it is a site. these people do not know you personally.

Notable difference between disagreeing with someone and consistently dismissing or looking down on them.

In some cases it's gone beyond disagreeing and straight out harassment or bullying, or dismissal of anything they say because of who they are. And in some cases, when someone else starts up **** with them, someone else comes around and says "looks like they're at it again", blaming them for the problem rather than the one who actually started it, because "they probably deserved it anyway".
Disagree away, sure thing. And these people do tend to warrant certain behaviors or reputations. But when it becomes a regular thing, something has to be done.

If the lone solution is "block and walk away; probably leave the site cuz nobody wants you here", then I have personally failed as a mod to make this a welcoming place for everyone, and have let the forum become the clique popular group mentality that I wanted to avoid.

Went to check animals up for adoption today. Seems like we got there the wrong time, since the dogs are all huge and we wouldn't be able to provide enough space for them to stay at home like we want to :c At least a kitty or two caught our eye, but dunno if roomates are interested in even considering cats before we decide on a pupper.

Trying to get online with the PS3 these days is so annoying. Half the time it can't even connect to the internet, and 90% of the time PSN is having problems.

And when (if) I can finally get online, the Playstation Store (the only reason I go online with my PS3 anymore) is painfully slow and impossible to navigate.
