The Evil Dead remake.
It was pretty damn good, by classic-horror-remake standards. Certainly a worthy entry into the franchise.

Cloverfield.
I think it would've been a LOT better if it wasn't in the view of a character IN THE MOVIE filming the happenings with their own camera. The camera angles are annoying as hell in these kind of movies, and you can't really tell what's going on since it shakes so much. I get that's the point, but I'm not a fan of that.

It'd be nice if they explained some things more too, like what exactly happens when you get bitten (seriously, what happened? Did she explode, did she get shot? I couldn't tell) and what the monster was and where it came from (I get they died and probably wouldn't know and you can look it up online like I did, but surely there's some way to add that explanation somewhere?)

Now You See Me last night with a friend.

I thought it was way too far fetched and reminded me of how irritating Jesse Eisenberg is.

However, my friend loved it and thought the characters and story was amazing. That worries me because she wants to be a novelist...
