I sat in a chair, pracitcly freaking out. Everyone tried to calm me down, and it took all my strength not to yell in frustration. They would always tell me "You're safe now." and "Everything is okay." about every two minutes. But everything was not okay. I couldn't be there. I had to be with my friends. But, i couldn't tell them that. They wouldn't believe me if I explained everything. I would be labled a crazy person and stuck in a mental hospital.
Finally, after hours of waiting, my parents came and picked my up. We went to a hotel, and they tried to talk to me, but I ignored them for the majority of the time. My parents gave up, and left me alone. I walked up to the window and sat down in a chair, looking outside. It was sunset. My friends would all be wondering where I was, and I knew in a few more hours, they would freak out.
I walked to the lobby and found the computers. I sat down at one and checked my pm box on DS. 102 new messages. All of them sent from my friends, all of them sent in the last hour. I made a message and sent it to them all.
"I'm fine. Don't freak out. I'll be there by 10:00 tonight."
I just hoped my parents would be asleep by then.
At 9:40, i looked up. My mom still wasn't asleep yet. I decided, what the heck, and got out of bed. I wanted to sort of say goodbye to my mom, anyways. although it was a pretty strange thing to think about. 'hey, mom! i'm part dragon! see ya!' and then i jump out a window. yeah, a perfect plan. But, i walked up to the window and opened it. A cold blast of air hit my face.
"what are you doing?" My mom asked.
"leaving." I answered, not trying to look her in the face.
"you aren't leaving. or jumping out a window, for that matter."
"you didn't seem to have a problem about it before."
"What do you mean, before?"
And then i couldn't take it anymore.
"I'm talking about when you came home, saw me, and freaked out!" I yelled.
"What? I came home and you vanished!" My mom wasn't hiding her anger.
"We looked straight at eachother! I tried to tell you that it was me, but you couldn't understand me!"

Everything seemed to click in her head at that moment.
"You...oh my gosh. I'm so sorry." She said. "I should've recognized you. And...i should have told you."
"Yeah, you should've." I said, still bitter even though she had just said sorry.
I looked over at the clock. 9:45. It would take me, ten minutes tops, by air, to get back.
"You've got five minutes to explain everything." I said.
She sighed. "One day when i was outside i saw an egg that was larger than normal. I looked at it, and it hatched. A dragon was sitting in the eggshell. I took her home with me and tried to hide her. The next day, she was human. I just raised her like any child."
"I was the dragon."
I toldmyself not to cry. Of corse, it didn't work. I had known this all along, but here was my mom, admiting it to me. I walked over and hugged her.
"I have to go." I told her.
"Where?"
"I promised i would meet some friends at ten. but..." I almost choaked up. "but i'm not coming back." I braced myself for her to say no, but she didn't.
"I understand."
"If i could tell you why, i would. but i have to go now." Actually, i don't know if i would've told her. but i wanted to.

I grabbed my backpack, it was right next to my bed. Then, i walked up to the window and opened it, a cold blast of air hitting my face. I stepped onto the ledge, preparing to jump, then looked back at my mom. She had tears in her eyes, but she was smiling. Probebly happy for me. My face was wet with tears, to tell you the truth. Exept i was worried. my mom thought this would make me happy. I mean, it did. I wanted to live like i should have all the years before. Learn the life I had just found out about. Experience what it was like not to be human. All my life, i had just been one, tiny, uninportant human. I was giving that life up, not to be one tiny unimportant dragon. I was giving it up to be one of the dragons that defied Shadow, took a stand against evil, and risked their life for countless others. I knew then and there the risk i was putting myself in. but i also knew that i would fight alongside my frinds, no matter what the cost. And although my mom probebly just thougt that i was going to fly around and play tag the rest of my life, i knew that she only wanted the best for me. She had no idea of the dangers. But that was all right. She wouldn't want to know.
All these thoughts rushed into my head at once, and it felt like energy had been poured into me.
I turned back towards the window, looking out into the night sky. the stars sparkled brightly, taking place of the new moon.
"Are your friends Alondra and Karen, who just happened to dissapear at the same time you did, your friends?" I heard my mom question.
"And two sisters from Texas named Meghan and Kaitlyn." I said, a laugh escaping me.
Then I jumped, turned into a dragon, and flew away from my family.

and, if you're wondering(TOO MANY COMMENTS! o.o')i used this song because in the mario game, it was used at a time where everyone was giving encouragement, and then it gave mario strength, blah blah blah. i was thinking about something at it gave me strength in the story.. so, yeah. i fail, but oh well. xD

Once i found where my friends were, I started to loose altitude. I landed, then turned human. At the same time, they saw me, and gave me death hugs.
I saw Rose looking at me. Her eyes were filled with about a million emotions. Annoyance was a main one.She was practiclt rolling her eyes, exept, she wasn't. And, i saw she was smiling.Of corse, i didn't have time to think about it much. My friends were distracting me.
"What happened?" Kaitlyn asked.
"I sorta got caught by the police." I said.
"Why am i not surprised?" Karen asked sarcastically.
"Shut up." I laughed, and pushed her.
"Are we going to travel again tommarow?" I asked Rose.
"Yep."
"I wanna go to China, darn it!" That random outburst brought to you by Karen.
"Yeah! Let's go to China!" Night joined in.
"Sounds like fun!" her sister added.
I face/palmed. China wasn't really on my list of countries to see.
But, Rose knew that at this point we would have to go, and she thought of our schedule in two seconds.
"Tommarow we'll fly to Vegas. We'll spend a day there, then move onto San Fransisco. Stay there a day or two, then to hawaii.If Fyre catches on, he'll think we're going to move on quicklu, but we won't. We'll stay there for a while, then after Fyre passes to China, we'll figgure out what to do next.
I knew the reason for staying in the cities for a while. It was for me, Alondra, Night, Shorty, and Karen. If she was on her own, Rose would probebly shoot for hawaii, or at least San Fransisco, by the next day. But, oh well. I knew that Rose would enjoy the scenic route as much as the rest of us.
