I silently kept laying in Shafmé's arms, breathing heavy and slow. Its too much, too long gone from home... am I going insane? Am I too homesick to continue. Or is something else draining my energy. Either way, if there's an attack now, I'm doomed...

I sighed and began to search for someone who could help me. I had to get whatever's in my arm out of it. Jesus, it hurts so **** much. I thought and kept walking, hoping I should soon find someone.

OoC: Um, okay...I said that the other users shouldn't be too hard to find because we've always come together. Then as Skyhunter comes up and asks if we'd attack him, after a bit of thinking, I said that I wouldn't attack him unless that was the last resort because I'd be guilty if I injured someone permanently.

I realized NINJAsk's breathing was long and ponderous. This adventure is taking its toll on her, I thought sadly. Will it drain us all, like her, leaving us open for dark52? We don't have as much time as I thought, at this rate. Lyv's right- we need to find everyone.

I sighed. "Well," I spoke with despair. "I- I had an encounter with Dark52 earlier. I don't know what it was about him, but just looking at him just made me want to, like, throttle him!" I paused for a brief moment to whimper slightly. "And I think that whatever made him like that might be getting to me. I've been feeling so angry, full of hatred lately, and I'm scared I might lose it soon..."

I decided to tell them some of the lore I had put behind Foxtail; there's no way what was happening to me would make sense to them any other way. "About Foxtail... in one of his earliest adventures, he was possessed by the Wither... yes, that Wither, taking on a dark, demonic form of himself called Withertail that drains the life out of anything around him. Even after he got the Wither out of his body, traces of its power still flowed through his veins, and whenever he got pushed too far, he would turn back into Withertail, barely able to control himself. Later on, he went through some training so that he could use that power to restore life and heal things, but he still does turn back into Withertail around certain dark forces..."

Another sigh, and I spoke again. "I'm afraid that the same might happen to me, and that I'd wind up hurting you guys in an unstoppable rage..." A sniffle, a single tear shed, and I laid down on my stomach, all the while still whimpering with fear and misery.

I nodded at the first part. dark52 definitely had that aura of manipulation and trickery around him. It could be possible we were all falling for his trap at this very moment. I wouldn't be surprised. The insane admin was keeping us on our toes.
I listened to Skyhunter as he explained the origins of his character. Possessed by the Wither? I heard that thing was destructive, so that couldn't be good...
As Skyhunter wrapped it up, I understood his concerns immediately. Of course, it had been a staple of our journey to have a user or two possessed by the Red Chain every once in a while. But according to this...Skyhunter could be stuck in a state of violence and rage.
"Easy..." I tried to calm him as he laid down. I reached out with an open hand and patted him. "Th-things happen. They will. We've all gone through it. The avatar mishap had taught us a lot- how to be strong, loyal, and...well, a family. Whatever you do, I know that you won't truly mean it. I won't hate you for it. I'll do my best to defend my friends...and protect you too. We can do this, together. dark52 can nerf us, separate us...but he cannot break our bonds with each other. We are one."

I kept on laying there, moveles, in-animated.I looked at Shadmé, at Skyhunter, at Lyv, then everything went black. I didn't see anything anymore. Only my own thoughts, soon faling into my own insanity. I was shaking, but that's all I could do.

I just laid there, still, I had stopped with shaking. Entire vision black.

I looked back to NINJAsk, who had gone eerily still. I took a deep breath, trying to gather myself together. "NINJAsk..?" I asked tentatively.

I gave no response to Shadmé at all. Not a groan, a moan or a simple "urf"...

Oh no...
"NINJAsk!" I repeated, a little scared. "Guys...something's wrong with NINJAsk!"

There was no reply again. Just pure silence.

What?! Oh no, not again...

I looked on with deep worry for the poor girl, laying stiff as a board. I was hesitant to use Foxtail's healing aura, out of fear that, in my current state, it would worsen her condition, if that was even possible.

I kept laying stiff, almost as if I was dead.

dark52 finally had access to the accounts of the users at the castle. "I must simply issue a command, and the computer will weaken their structure. That way, it won't be so easy for them to challenge me. Their stamina and defense will be significantly weakened." With a click, a sonic wave stemmed forth, and then the realm returned to normal.

This was not going as well as we anticipated. I glanced over my shoulder, wondering if the others were around here- should we be trying to search for them? Obviously NINJAsk was in no condition to be moved, but I also didn't like the thought that dark could be anywhere. What if he'd found them?
Something slammed into me, pinning me against the wall for a moment. I coughed violently, then the feeling passed. It left me feeling strangely sick and I clung to the wall, feeling extremely weak. What was that?!

I had been flying through the halls, looking for the others, and the unconscious users when, right as I was passing a corner, something slammed into me, knocking me into the corner. When I hit it with my side, a large gash was cut across my side. I roared in pain, loud enough so where anyone Ina mile radius would be able to hear it, as blood began to slowly pour from the gash. Biting back the pain, I began to sit up.....when I noticed how weak I felt from the shock wave that hit me. "Damnit...." I said biting my lip to hold back the tears from the pain "now I feel so weak....if only I could just rest....NO!" I said, shaking the dizziness from my head. "Need to....stay....awake." I said, my strength fading as I fell unconscious

I jumped as a roar resounded through the halls, only to flinch after it. It made me extremely sore to even move. Was that dark52? Were we in danger?
I shook my head. No, that couldn't be. dark52 was of the stealthy type. He wouldn't randomly roar at something. But wait...that shock wave...had it hit another user?
"Lyv! Skyhunter!" I called to my friends nearby. "We have to find whoever yelled!" I tried to get up and load NINJAsk to my back, but for some reason it was extremely difficult to carry her. I managed a few steps before having to slide her off gently. "We're coming!" I yelled down the hall.

I writhed on the ground, still unconscious, as the pain coursed throught my body, my blood pooling out around me.

In my mind, I was having a nightmare.

I was back to my normal self, but I was still in the virtual reality, and I was walking through a field when I heard dark's laugh, and from all around me, vines shot out, wrapping me up, their thorns digging into my skin, leaving large gashes all over my body. I tried to scream out in pain, but nothing came out. Then, more and more of these vines began to lash at me, sometimes getting stuck in me, then ripping themselves out, the worst time tearing a piece of skin off. Then, a dragon walked out of the clearing towards me. "I shall free you." It said.

A sudden wave of fatigue struck me as well, but in a different way. I could feel my already weak grip on my sanity slipping up, with the corruption resuming, creeping up my little fox legs, darkening parts of my golden pelt into a hellish red, my eyes growing increasingly more pale and leaking a strange black mist as homicidal thoughts attacked my psyche.

hate... blood.... kill.... must kill....

No, I gotta keep it in... don't let go, don't let go...

Fighting through the growing fury and urge to murder, I took Shadme's request to heart and scampered off to find the user in distress.

Already in quite a bit of pain, the wave of energy had made me collapse to my knees, my hunger didnt help either, and I was afraid that it might drive me to hurt someone I know. I had to find one of Dark52's minions or something. I needed food, and quickly.
Little did I know, I was slowly starting to change mindset again.

I somehow managed to load NINJAsk into my back by spreading my wings and wrapping her arms around my neck so I could hold her still. Also known as piggyback, angel style. I lumbered after Skyhunter.
Is his pelt red? Oh no. Uh...it's just the lighting...right? I couldn't help but be filled with dread- if he was taken over, like he'd mentioned earlier...would I be able to stop him?

My wings were soon hurting from the strain, and I was forced to slow down as Lyv caught up. What is wrong with me? I used to be able to run as far as I wanted, reach anywhere in time...but now it feels like something's slowing me down.

There was a dark aura surrounding me, and some of the ground around me was floating up, in tiny pieces, and was soon disintegrated. My body began to change.

I stared, my left eye closed shut because of the vines, and my right eye watering, at the dragon as it walked towards me. "What....what do you mean?" I ask, feeling some sort of poison being injected into my body through the thorns. The dragon laughed, as all I could see was only it. "You are mine fool." The voice of my dopplegänger said. Before I could realize what had happened, it was too late.

A big dark figure in a crumpled heap was at the end of the hallway. My heart sank as I put everything together. It was Rickorio, and he was the one who roared. I just had to see if he was okay. Setting NINJAsk down, I ran full speed towards the dragon, eyes starting to tear up.

My body was changing faster, the wound closing up, healing itself.

Dexera laughed as I struggled in the vines, convulsing as the neurotoxin that was injected into me began to take affect, making me go insane from it, my body dissolving into purple little sparkles and floating to Dexera. "How....what...when?" I said, looking at him. He laughed, growing stronger as I was losing my mind to him. "I will always be a part of you." He said, watching me yell in pain as my arms began to disappear, and the thorns were stabbing inside of me.

I sat looking appalled at Rickorio's shifting form, still barely clinging on to the last of my calm demeanor.

I panted in exertion and anxiety as I reached Rickorio. To my surprise, he seemed to be going through an avatar change. And due to the way he was breathing, I could tell he was going through something. Crouching down, I gently put a hand on his shoulder. "Rickorio...wake up- it's me, Shadmé...are you okay?"

My form had almost reached the look of Dexera, and my wound was completely healed.

I began to cry from the pain as my mind was being lost to Dexera. As I floated there, barely conscious, Dexera looked at me and smirked "Goodbye, forever." He said, taking control. In my last moments of existing, I did what I could.

As I fully transformed completely, I woke up, still in control for a few seconds "Run! Please get out of here Shad-AGGGHHH!" I yelled in pain as Dexera truly took over. "Your friend is no more." Dexera said, standing up.

"What? No... NO!!!!!"

That was it. The straw that broke the camel's back. My rage had peaked, all of my body had become demonized in fury, the very air in the room grew much, much colder.

I jumped back as Rickorio's voice shocked my ears. I stood there, stunned, as Dexera took over again. Eyes wide with confusion, I shivered and collapsed as Foxtail lowered the room temperature.
How could this be? Why was our luck so bad? "Rickorio..." I whimpered, looking up sadly.

Dexera laughed, a cold, dark laugh, that would make the bravest man alive cower in fear, if not, at least flinch. He quickly grabbed Shadmé's neck with his tail, holding her up in the air. "Do anything, and I'll kill her." he said.

I laid there limply, not even fighting. I felt numb as ice but loose as a rag doll at the same time. Was this truly game over? I couldn't believe Dexera was this cruel...
"Save yourself, Skyhunter," I whispered. "Don't worry about me...I don't want you getting hurt..." I intended to keep my vow for Skyhunter. I did not want any harm to him, and giving myself up was the only way I thought he could be spared.

I glared at Dexera with piercing wrath in my now empty eyes. My sanity had been completely eradicated, all I knew was bloodlust. His laugh hadn't a single effect on me. Nothing he could do could hope to frighten me, for I had become fear itself.

With solid, deathly authority I growled at the doppelganger, ignoring Shadme's plea. "Drop. Her. Now."

Dexera's smirk disappeared as Sky gave him the glare. "Or what?" He asked, sending a blast of fire at the ground below Shadmé. "Or maybe I will drop her." He says, a smirk again on his face.

A flash of my eyes, and the fire was snuffed out. "I've killed you once, I will kill you again."

The ground shook, and the black mist swirled around me. With a light kick off the ground, I was airborne. "And this time, when I send you to Hell, you will stay in Hell." The very walls around us started to crack and crumble in response to my "Withering" factor.

"Don't do-" Skyhunter put out the fire before I could object. I turned my gaze to Dexera and stared him in the eye. I didn't glare, I didn't cry. I just looked. My brown eyes were filled with deep sadness, but understanding. Understanding of my eminent death? I don't know. Don't hurt us...I've been torn apart, and I don't know if I can be put together. Just finish what you need to do and leave Rickorio alone...

Dexera, shocked by the flames being put out all of a sudden and the look from Shadmé, for a reason he wouldn't be able to find out after what's about to happen, dropped Shadmé and fell to the ground.

A grim smile came to me, fangly teeth bared as I watched with sadistic glee at Dexera's collapse. "So the beast submits."

I lowered myself back down, flicking my claws out, ready to seize the opportunity for such an easy kill.

The form that my body had taken, began to crack, almost as if it was a shell.

I gasped, as in my mind, I soon began to regain control. "Wha-what....what happened?" I asked, in that same field, no vines, and no Dexera. Then, in a more humanoid form, a soul-form of Dexera appeared. "I'm not sure how it's happened...probably because of your friend Skyhunter...but, I've been cast from your mind....for now." He said as a black hole appeared behind him, sucking him in.

OoC: Wheeeeee!

I hit the ground hard, the world spinning. He let go. He didn't kill me. As soon as everything stopped moving, I looked up.
Oh no. Skyhunter.
I shoved my way between him and Rickorio, and collapsed around the dragon in a hug. If I don't' survive this, Rickorio, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not being there in time. I'm sorry for not being brave enough to tell you...I love you. As soon as I relaxed I blacked out.

The act of compassion that occurred before my very eyes was... touching, to say the least. I myself was a sucker for love stories, and though it failed to curb the demon within's desire to slaughter, my heart was softened enough to spare the angel girl clinging to the dragon with all her might.

"Step aside, silly girl. This monster's days are at an end." I placed my paw upon her arm to gently dragged Shadme off to the side. And with that, I wound up my strike, aimed my talons for Dexera's throat, ready to seal his fate.

The shell cracked, and is at there again, completely free from Dexera, and in my old form. I opened my eyes, and looked around, seeing Sky completely red, ready to kill me, and Shadmé off to the side. "Sky...what's going on?" I ask him.

Seeing the carapace of Dexera crumble around Rickorio, I stopped myself just short of ripping through his jugular. Taking hold for a brief moment, I calmed myself just long enough to speak this one line:

"Rick... start running now..."

I nodded, feeling energized after being released from Dexera's hold, maybe because he had been weakening me, though I didn't have time to worry. I quickly began to fly, and grabbed Shadmé and NINJAsk as I escaped.

Lightmé looked up as soon as she felt a pain resonating deep inside her. If she had to guess, she'd say fear and sadness. She herself did not feel these emotions often, so she frowned. What in the name of the Underworld is Shadmé doing? She felt the flash of fear again, and tightened in anger. If someone was threatening Shadmé, her life would be in danger. And if there was no Shadmé, no Lightmé either. She spread her wings, grabbed her Chrysó Bow, and took off.
Her white wings glowed red as she sped through the halls. Something streaked by. Lightmé screeched to a halt. Someone carrying Shadmé? Her violet eyes darted between the red-furred being at the end of the hall, whom she suspected to be the cause of this fear, and the- she now identified it as a dragon- thing carrying Shadmé. Shrugging, and itching for a fight, she separated her bow and glared at Skyhunter. She waited to see if he'd make a move.

I seemed to be drowning in the inky blackness. Except drowning isn't really a word I'd use. More like...suspended. I was frozen in a position, and made no effort to move. Was I dead?
Something pounded in the back of my mind, like a heartbeat. And suddenly I was filled with longing. I didn't want to be trapped in this nothingness! I wanted the light of day, I wanted the laughs and smiled of my friends, I wanted the thrill of being alive. In my state, I had completely forgotten about my weakness from before. I knew I could move...I HAD TO ESCAPE!
What the heck?
What's that? I wondered.
That's what I'm wondering.
Who are you? There's another person with me?
With? What's going on? I'm the only one in my mind, as far as I can tell.

Erm...Shadmé.
Well then what the heck? This is Lightmé, for Hades' sake! Are you dead?
I hope not. Uh...Lightmé...what's happening?
You're unconscious. I guess our connection goes even farther than that.
Although it was my least favorite angel in the world to be speaking to, I was relieved that at least someone was there.

I squint my 'eyes' upon seeing something rush through the hallways, I was too hungry to think of what it could be, little did I know, It was Rickorio.

Lightmé rubbed her head with her free hand. How was Shadmé in her mind? Or was she in Shadmé's? It was very confusing. But, despite Shadmé's drowsy curtness, she was glad the dark angel was alive, at least. She sent another glare towards Skyhunter, wary of him.
