I keep changing the female name because Silvana isn't good and Starcatcher was Celandra's last name!

Daughter of the Third Draik

Part 01

Blackness clouded over Meridell. Dark clouds covering the sun, fire raging, Shadows free and tormenting the Meridellians. A silver Draik rushed across the forest, holding his blade and shivering with fear. ''I can't let this happen!'' He thought. The Draik stopped on his tracks, stopping to grab his breathe. Growls of Shadows were being heard from afar. ''Resheema!'' He cried. A red Draikess stepped out of the cave. ''I know why you're here, Anushka.'' Resheema told him. ''You want me to protect your daughter, no?''

''Yes. She's my descendant for Neopia's sake!''

''Fine, fine, fine. Set your egg upon me.''

Anushka knelt down and revealed an egg hidden in his cape. The Draik egg radiated a golden glow around it. ''It is special...'' Resheema whispered. Smoke begun moving in fast. It was clouding everything it passed. Trees, flames, everything. ''Go...now.'' Anushka said. Resheema picked up the egg and took flight, looking back for a moment. ''Be careful.'' was what her gaze said. Anushka nodded.

The smoke was now upon him. The Draik clutched on to his blade. An electric Gelert now appeared from the smoke, a scar crossing his left eye that has now given him the fame of his name.

Galaxan.

''Ah Ahnushka, I have long expected you. Where is our deal?'' He asked. Anushka's eyes widened. He remembered it. The egg, his daughter. ''Not here...'' He replied, ''in fact, foreget this deal, Galaxan. I'm not wasting my daughter. Even if you engrave my name and destiny in shame.'' A smirk now crossed Galaxan's face. Instead of summoning his Shadows, a dark orb formed on his paw and said, ''Then say your last words.''

Anushka waded in, only to have a dark orb being hurled on him. The Draik rose, his blade radiating the same glow his egg had. Light magic. He hurled a light orb right at Galaxan, expecting defeat but he was wrong.

Galaxan appeared before the Draik, a smirk crossing his face. ''Ready to face your doom!?'' He asked. Anushka's blade glowed brightly now. ''Never...'' He murmured. The Gelert came in, his body glowing with dark magic. Anushka closed his eyes as he formed a sphere around them. Galaxan's eyes widended. ''No!'' He cried. The Sphere both swallowed Galaxan and Anushka in, leaving nothing but dust.

Resheema sighed as she heard the explosion of light magic and dark magic. She took a look at the egg. ''Don't worry. You'll be safe with me.'' She reassumed. And that was the fall of Anushka and the rise of his descendant. The one who will carry on his prophecy for fufillment.


~30 years later...~

A striped Draikess zipped through the trees, glee on her face. A necklace hung over her neck lazily as she flapped her wings with great speed. ''Lunaya! Get back here!'' A voice screeched. The Draikess, who seemed to be named Lunaya, laughed as she turned her head around. ''C'mon Resheema, just because you're old dosen't mean you're...slow.'' She said.

Resheema came in, panting and catching her breathe. She lifted up her head and growled. ''Y'know, if your egg never exsisted, I would'nt have been happy.'' Lunaya just laughed. Midday came in. The twosome returned to Meridell with each exchanging smiles on their faces. ''So, we have to cross the forest first?'' Lunaya asked Resheema.''

''Yes. It's the only way.''

What some say about the forest was that is was teeming with monsters with a thrist for revenge. They were Shadows, was what they called them. Shadows that serve an ancient evil that was banished a long time ago. ''Stay close to me.'' The red Draikess said.

Eerie noises filled the forest. One could easily be chased out with the noise. For Lunaya, she would be turning her back right now is she was alone. But she was not. She was with her friend, Resheema, whom was never scared of everything. Well, that's what the Lunaya thought of her.


The noises were getting louder and Resheema felt fear rippling through her. Ghostly monsters apperead before them. Each hissing and growling at them. ''Shadows!'' Lunaya cried. The Shadows twitched then charged towards them. Resheema grabbed her dagger hidden in her robe and started swinging it furiously. ''Run, Lunaya! Run!'' She cried.

Lunaya was frantic. She didn't knew what to do. Her mind was dazed and confused. Was she going to stay here and protect Resheema? Or would she abandon this brave Draikess? A Shadow lunged at her, with an evil cackle. ''Resheema! Help!'' She yelped.

Resheema lifted up her head only to see Shadows overcrowding her. ''Lunaya!'' She cried. Before she could get closer, more Shadows had surrounded her. As for Lunaya, she was slowly weakning. She was waiting for her end now. Until, she felt a strange feeling around her mind. She opened her eyes, which now glowed golden. Light radiated off her body as she knocked the Shadows off her, scaring them before the light around her faded. ''Lunaya, are you okay!?" Resheema asked.

The striped Draikess winced. ''I...can't...'' She whispered. Her vision slowly blurred. She felt as if she was falling apart and turning to stone. Everything turned black as she fell unconscious.
