I got all mine today at EB who happily price match Kmart prices. I also got Legendary free ranger and Nitro Magna charge. No sightings of LLC GRIM or Enchanted hoot loop. I even got 3 polar whirlwinds.

Hmm i guess need to either order online or i can call they TRU in melb see if they can sell it separately

I wish I had known about the K-Mart prices, but I priced matched with Big W's. Oh well.

I asked at TRU yesterday when I got Legendary Free Ranger if they had Legendary LC Grim Creeper and they said not but it maybe released later which is quite possibly true if no one on hear has found one, and also asked about enchanted hoot loop at Big W and said they hadn't heard anything so maybe there holding off for future sale like before Christmas. It also sounds that Kmart was not the place to be for release

I got to kmart at about 8pm yesterday and they had loads of stock, singles for $9, packs for $24.

Target at lunchtime had everything out too, lots of Nitro MCs. I don't think Australian stores empty like they do elsewhere.

Target didn't have my (promotional) Polar Whirlwinds when I was there, but got a call this evening and it's finally arrived.

Haven't tried TRU because they are charging too much, $4 more for lightcores and $6 for singles - come on that's too much even for legendaries.

Also, not buying anything from EB Games because of price and no Wii U Dark edition - I don't like price matching, offer the price you want to sell it for, stop cheating.

Hmm, took a bit of a break from Skylanders, but I did see quite a lot of Nitro Magna Charges at my Target. *derp*, thanks Bash

So so far, the "specials" that are available are the Dark Edition Skylanders, Nitro Magna Charge, and Legendary Free Ranger?

Mario probs u are mistaken kmart with target... The in game variants so far yes only dark edition, nitro magna and legendary free ranger...

Anyone have any idea when wave 2 will be arriving in oz...?

I went to my local Kmart to pick up some lightcores but they had no display/portal so I decided to wait because I don't want to get duds and only find out on Christmas morning.

So, I went to another Kmart - same thing, no display/portal. Went to Target, no display/portal, Dick Smiths, JB Hi Fi . . .

Why do they not have any displays/portals?

Weird. Anyone else notice this or is it just me?

Thats true....never seen a display in any Kmart.

Both TRU around here have them. Bigw Winston Hills has one (though I haven't seen it working yet), and Rouse Hill did have the giants one so I am guessing will have a SF one. Target at Castle Hill and Parramatta have one, but Rouse Hill doesn't.

Speaking of duds, I noticed that if you have the Giants portal underneath the Swapforce portal, some figures wont read.For me Hothead and Smolder dash would not read until I took away the Giants portal.

Nah, none of my Kmarts have any display portals (not even Skylanders 1 or 2), I've seen all TRUs, Targets and some Big Ws have it.

And did anyone get Legendary Free Ranger in store by itself? Because the manager came to me and told me that it was only with the starter pack, even if on online you can get it by itself. I was gonna get LFR by itself for $16 (20% off) and the starter at Target for $53 (20% off + 5% paywave)..... I know, I'm cheap

I picked one up in Moore Park today, they had four all of which were on the ground under the portal.

Couldn't believe how much of a mess there was, looked like a hurricane had hit the Skylanders section.

Hmm its still a while ... I didnt check the light but i think it lights really bright blue too... Didnt even know that it might have light problem if u hadnt mention it... And i guess these all fritolays promo of different figure will reach oz in the slowest possible manner (giants kicks, pumpkin fright rider, pumpkin eye brawl, and quickdraw rattle shake)

First time poster but longtime Skylanders fan in Australia. I just come back from a one and a half year work assignment in Japan but now I got some time to settle down and play some serious Skylanders :-)

Bought the Swap Force starter last thursday - didn't actually get back into Australia until wednesday morning, so missed out on the pre-order and Dark edition had already sold out in my area.

Looking foward to getting some more Swap Force over the next couple of days :-)

Skylanders has really taken off in Japan faster than a anime cos play convention. Toys R Us is the only store in Japan which stocks Skylanders and most stores are currently sold out, and it looks to me like they are just repackaging excess stock of what is available in the western world e.g alot of the Spyro's Adventures stuff you can easily find is ALL you can find in Japan... I was hoping to snag a Japanese Darklight Crypt and Boomer and Whamshell, but they are nowhere to be seen. On the other hand, if you're looking for Stump Smash, Stealth Elf, Drobot, Ignitor, Prism Break, Double Trouble or Hex there are more than plenty in Japan.

Interesting ... They dont have any other retailer selling the figures...? Do u know if they come in waves as well..? So far how many waves are there? Very keen to know how first asian country feedback towards the series

Heads-up. Going by these posts on the Skylanders FB, it seems that wave 2 has appeared in at least one Target in NSW, though the figures are not purchasable yet as they can't be scanned:

I was speaking to nintendo rep this morning, and apparently JB hifi and Eb will be stocking the skylanders bundle as well.

That's interesting as I was in an EB store at the beginning of the month and asked.

The dude behind the counter rang head office and although they were aware of the item, they said that they had no order in. The consensus from them was that an exclusive to one or two of the other chains and they would not get a guernsey?

We shall see, I suppose.

There are no Wave 2 skylanders pictured in the catologue, so there is no guarantees that they will have them, but it could be possible.

If they do not have wave 2 together on the 13th nov.. I have a feeling that the legendary grim creeper is actually arrived the same time as the free ranger but they hold it of until now...

LeGrim Creeper is already in stock. I picked up two a couple of days ago. I called Highpoint and they put them aside, picked them up the same day. I don't know if they were actually meant to sell him, they had a box stored at the back and had none on the shelf, they managed to sell him to me without any hiccups like not ringing up so idk wether he has a street date or they're just stalling.

They did mention that there were more Legendary Free Rangers in boxes too... So maybe that points towards them getting him just recently with a Free Ranger restock.

Hmm will try to grab him this coming wednesday.. Probs online..

Numbers of him are increasing on ebay which I have found as a good indicator a characters but bad that the scalpers have found them too.

I managed to find Legendary Grim Creeper today however it was at full price. Stock was less than Legendary Free Ranger so I am guessing he will be harder to come by.

Also I can confirm that Wave 2 has not yet reached south east Queensland.
Searched 10 major stores and none of them had any wave 2 in stock or any hint of it (such as price tags).

Starting to think wave 2 maybe out on the 5th December, I have found 2 websites with this date on them Book World (originally Borders online store) and Fish Pond Australia that both have this date for shipment from local supplier. I have never brought anything from fish pond so don't know how reliable this is but Book World I have had not trouble with.

Someone did say that it would be in December like giants wave 2 last year, now we just need to wait on Enchanted Hoot Loop possibly from Big W and Jolly Bumble Blast but knowing Australia's luck we may have him by easter

If the source is correct then it'll be quite a while before we can enjoy new skylanders, but i do hope that enchanted hoot loop will go with this wave ... Jolly bumble blast should come at this time otherwise the santa theme will make no sense in early next year..
