Nightshade was just outside the door when he heard Kronos answer Raclaw's comment, and instead of knocking to wait a minute to see how the conversation progresses.

"That sounds plausible.," Raclaw said in agreement. "Electricity can also conduct through water which may make for a deadlier combination.," he then added.

Kronos didn't thought if it that way, but it was a great idea.
"Yeah, exactly." He replied, as if that was his intention all along.
"I know it would be a cinch if I could produce fire, but I just can't. Heh, more weirdness to my life. I come from a family of fire dragons, and I can't even produce a sizzle." he then complained, sounding as if life itself was against him.

"Don't think that way-- you were simply made for greater things. You can be just as powerful as any fire dragon and your unique abilities would come in handy where fire was no good.," Raclaw said thinking back to the fire-proof creature they fought earlier.

Nightshade opened the door saying "he's right. so don't sell yourself short. besides I have it worse. 15 years ago I made a vow that if I ever found Sora's killer I would kill him myself. I just found that killer and as it turns out he's my own brother. and if that weren't enough apparently by some sort of magic or whatever you want to call it Sora's alive now and is being held hostage by said brother whom of which incase if you haven't noticed nearly killed me without even breaking a sweat!"

"Does everybody eavesdrop around here?" Kronos said, annoyed at being spied on. He pretended that he didn't care, but he heard in detail what Nightshade just said, though he preferred to keep a stone-cold heart.

Nightshade shrugged and said "I donno. as far as I know I have every right to know what's going on in my home. but that's not why I'm here. Durza wants to speak with you."

"Oh?" Kronos shrugged, with a more respectful tone than before. He not only didn't want to be kicked out of that place, he wanted to make peace with Durza since he was the one who was going to train him.
"Um, see you later." he said to Raclaw, ready to follow Nightshade and start a real training for once.

Nightshade walks out and heads to his room saying "I'm going to bed. Durza is just outside waiting for you."

"Good luck!," Raclaw said as Kronos left the room.

Kronos waited outside as Nightshade instructed, waiting for Durza to appear. He was thinking of sweet talking him this time in order to begin proper training and no time waster like earlier.

ooc: Durza is standing right infront of Kronos and is kinda hard to miss since he's not cloaked in shadow.

Unwillingly, Kumara had drifted off into a light slumber. Even though she was sleeping, it was easy to wake her considering she was always on high alert.

Durza turned his head to face Kronos "ah Kronos. I've been waiting for you. please come here I wish to speak with you."

OOC: I changed the last post, but the Internet got disconnected just as soon as I was going to edit it. I just noticed it never did the change

Kronos followed him, desperate to begin a proper, genuine training and no more stupid trivia question. Definitely patience was not one of his virtues.

Durza looked at Kronos who seemed to be eager to get started. Durza smiles and says "well you seem eager to get started. well then I guess you wont mind telling me your answer to the question I gave you as homework, now would you?"

Kronos simply sighed, believing that was over with.
"I thought that was taken care of. I gave you an answer, you gave another one, isn't that what it was all about?" he said, annoyed, wanting desperately to get into the main action. He had waited too much already to find someone who would tutor him in the element control to waste more time to answer such silly, trivial questions.

Durza chuckled "yes that is true but I did give you homework to see if you would reevaluate how you define your elements. understanding is a key part in learning how to control your elements. after you answer the question we will move to the next step to work on your control by actually using your element."

Kronos simply shook his head. He was trying to be nice to Durza so that he could be a worthy teacher, but he was making it difficult.
"Look sir, what much is there is to answer? I'm losing time here! Nobody at home could teach me because neither of them use electricity, and my grandpapi is an ice dragon, but he couldn't teach me because he doesn't have the strength for action anymore." Kronos insisted, wanting to avoid the question at all cost and get on with the real training once and for all.

I nod "I understand and I already see another reason you're having trouble controlling your elements especially ice.you're lacking patience. answer the question first then we will proceed. you may not see it but I'm being generous here. none of my previous students have been allowed to use their elements this early in my teachings. besides you agreed to my methods and they require you to fallow my instructions to the letter." Durza looks Kronos in the eyes "the reason I offered you my training is because I see great power in you. yet you have no clue as to how to use it. Your lack of patience could get you killed. I know this because the last student I had that was as impatient as you got himself killed. I will not allow that same mistake to repeat itself."

Kronos tried for another answer, since he wanted all that nonsense to be over with. He didn't care about anyone's past, especially mistakes, so he went straight to the point.
"Well, electricity is one of the elements of nature. Charged particles that flow in a determined space. They can be conducted through metal and other structures, and it is measured through volts." Kronos answered, believing that was a very refined definition. He remembered that his grandpa gave a similar definition long ago, and he was trying to recreate it with what he could remember. The definition was far longer than that, but that was all that came to mind.

Durza smiles "good. that shows you have a stronger understanding. now time for the next lesson, applying control of your elements." Durza gets up and draws his sword and walks over to two stone pillars that were about 6 or seven feet apart. as he walked over he thought aloud saying "in one of the dimensions I've been to humans lived as the dominant species. unique individuals could manipulate the elements around them. they were know as benders. the four elements that a bender could control are fire, water, air, and earth. among the fire benders their is an advanced technique were they can summon lightning. lightning is also known as the cold blooded fire, it is precise and deadly." he was standing in front of the pillars. he took his sword and stuck the blade in the ground. he continued speaking saying "for those that are unable to create it, it explodes in their aces knocking them back. personally I find fire to be better. If i said that fire was the purist form of energy I would be lieing to myself, because electricity is the purist form of energy. you have been blessed with the power to summon the purist form of energy in existence." he walked over to Kronos and said "your task is to stand no closer then ten feet away from those pillars and use you electrical element to strike them. my sword will act as a lightning rod so you must strike the pillars without striking my sword." he walked over next to Kronos and said "you may begin whenever you're ready."

Kronos looked with a dazed face, confused with something.
"Just one thing... what is a human?" he asked, as shocking and unbelievable as it sounded, he has never heard of a human before, even less seen one. That was because his ancestors lived in a place where they were exploited by them, and once they settled in the human-less valley where they are right now, it became forbidden to mention or talk about them. Even his wise grandpa couldn't mention them or he would get banished.

Durza smiled "that's pritty good but I can give a better explanation since I'm 1/4 human, even if I can't access my human form at the moment. and by the way I find the term flesh bags rather rude." he looked at Kronos and said "human are a spicies of apes that have learned how build tools and survive. on average males are about 6 feet tall. they are very social creatures that cannot weild elements like how dragons do. in general they tend to fear what they don't understand and will act out of that fear violently. but their are those that don't act out of fear that are good allies to have. before I became part dragon I grew up facinated by dragons. I didn't fear them I saw them as powerful sentient creatures capable of many things. I was so facinated by them that I wanted to be a dragon myself. when i was 17 my wish, my dream became a reality. now here I stand, as the ultamite dragon."

Kronos found hard to believe that a dragon could be part ape, as he declared, but decided not to argue with that. He is grad, found that topic rather interesting.
"Fear of the unknown. Don't we all?" he said with a sense of irony, before continuing.
"Anyway, a type of ape? I know what those are." he replied, capuchins and a few gorillas being quite common in the forest outskirts of his home. As interesting as the topic was, he decided that it was training first, lecture later.
"Alright now, I want to learn electricity. Why do we need that pointy stick? The electricity will simply aim at that. It won't point wherever I want." he said, believing the sword was simply going to be a distractor.

Durza smiled "exactly. It takes a great level of control to properly direct lightning, if you can make the lightning strike the pillars without striking my sword then can do anything with lightning. theoretically speaking that is."

Kronos didn't want to begin, since he was certain he was going to shock Durza.
"Isn't this a bit of advanced? he asked, believing that a beginner's training would involve targeting rather than divert firsthand.

Durza smiled and said "well it may be for some but you don't need to worry about shocking others since if you miss my sword will act as a lightning rod. the only way you could hurt anyone is if they get in front of you when you open fire."

Kronos tried, and with a big inhaling, he strikes. Naturally, the lightning went in less than a second towards the direction of the sword. No matter how much Kronos tried to strike the pillars, the electricity simply went straight into the sword, without showing any signs of moving towards the pillars. It was as if the lightning wanted to stubbornly go to the source of the metal without any chance of a second opinion, and Kronos looked at Durza as if telling him that was exactly what he meant from the beginning.

Durza saw the issue "try using your tounge to direct it."

Kronos never tried that before, and when he did, he did succeed in moving the lightning a bit away from the sword, but he stopped all of the sudden, his tongue hurting. Since he didn't tried that trick before, his tongue wasn't accustomed to the current, so he received quite a shock.

Durza smiled "just as I thought. part of directing any breath element is using the tongue. since you've never tried it you're not used to it. now keep trying until you get used to it."

Kronos knew what he meant... but he wasn't going to get shocked in front of Durza, so he went to a hidden corner to practice with some sparks, until his tongue got use to the electricity flow. He has always believed that the elemental breath could be guided by just using your head, which is why he never tried that trick before...

Durza smiled seeing his student make progress. he glared at Shade and said "so we're meat bags on two legs to you? is that it!?"

Durza smirks "well seeing as when I arrived in human form that sanctuary was the first thing I found so the way I see it only a moron would be unable to find it. but then again humans in general are morons. but still it was too easy for me."

"technical I let myself in then I found out I couldn't revert to human form so I couldn't just leave this dimension so Icestorm took pity on me and let me stay only for him to be kidnapped the fallowing night." Durza clarified.

In his corner, Kronos continued generating electricity to get his tongue to get use to it. But that was quite a challenge, since in less than five tries, his tongue already felt numb. He was quite angry for not having thought of something so simple, but he ease it up by secretly listening to Shade and Durza. He wanted to learn more about humans, but got disappointed when the conversation turned into more about Durza's life story than actual information about his former species.

Durza sighs "ether way humans aren't all bad. they just rather fear what they don't understand then try to understand it. I for one am an exception to that rule. if anything were I was born humans were to busy destroying the very planet they live on to care about anything else. they disgust me. I agree with my mother when she said that the world would be better off without humans. at least that's how it is from the dimension I was born in." Durza turned to face Kronos "that satisfy your curiosity for now Kronos?"

Kronos simply answered with a grumble, getting very annoyed that every bit of his movements, and even thoughts, were spied on.
"What the heck's wrong with you!? I can't think freely! I can't act freely without any of you paying attention to each and every movement I do! I can't even speak with my mind because you'll just listen to it as well! Don't you know the meaning of privacy!?" he yelled, blinded with fury, and before either Durza or Shade could reply, he spoke again.
"My parents were wrong! It was a bad idea trying to join this stupid Dragon Guard, where you can't have any kind of freedom!" Kronos finally said, practically losing his mind. He was taking everything extremely personal.

"So in order to have honor, somebody has to surveil every bit of your actions!?" Kronos yelled furiously, tempted to fly off right now and leave the group forever.

Durza chuckled "I didn't read your mind Kronos. Your curiosity made it easy to predict that you were eavesdropping. I know this because when I was younger I would do the same thing. I have no idea what it is you are thinking, I could only guess at that."

But Kronos stood with the idea.
"But mind reading or not, you were paying attention to me! Can't you just concentrate on a conversation without assuming the worse for the others!?" Kronos demanded, angry at being caught eavesdropping, but wanting Durza to believe that he wasn't and that he misinterpreted him.

Durza only chuckled "sorry. I'm very used to being aware of my surroundings so trust me I wasn't paying attention to just you. besides I don't mind you eavesdropping really I don't."

Kronos simply gave a scream with his mouth closed, too furious to listen to anybody. Since he needed to blow up some steam, he proceeded to leave that p,ace, away from the two dragons. He wanted to go as far as possible and continue his practice in a place where he could be certain nobody would spy on him...

Kumara heard the commotion going on and let her head shoot up in defense. After a moment, she recognised the voices and relaxed her guard.
"Shoot! I fell asleep again..." she growled at herself before standing up and resuming her practice.

Durza noticed Kumara wake up and walked over to her saying "you know if you keep this up you're going to get hurt."
