to everyone that is wondering why i havent posted any of my story recently, i have been really busy over the weekend and i have not had enough time to sit down and write some more. i will write a lot more over the week and we will get back to the story thanks to everyone for waiting

Morning came just as fast as night had the day before. Rougestone was dead tired this morning and just slept through Sapphire’s attempts to get him up.
“Are you going to sleep the entire day?”
“That doesn’t sound like a bad idea.” he said to her.
“Come on, you don’t want to go see what the others are up to? I am sure that there is something going on around here.”
“You told me to actually relax; well this is how I relax.”
“It seems like a waste of a day.”
“Maybe to you it does, but not to me.”
“Whatever, I will try and wake you if anything happens with the eggs.”
“Thank you again.” he said as he rolled over and fell back asleep.
“I might as well see what Alacrity is up to. She walked out of the room and into another one that was where the eggs were. Alacrity was curled up in a ball near the eggs.
“Keeping watch?” Sapphire asked her.
She picked up her head and nodded.
“You should probably do that with your eyes open.”
“Yeah, I know. I just got tired.”
“That is ok. Nothing has happened with the eggs and you deserve some rest.”
“Rougestone’s not getting up today?” Alacrity asked
“I think that he has finally crashed. I don’t know how long it is going to last, though.”
“I didn’t think that he could ever crash like that.” she said to Sapphire
“Neither did I. Something must have run him tired.”
“Or someone.”
“Whatever it is, I am sure that Rougestone knows what he is doing.”
“I hope so. He doesn’t seem like a dragon that would tire easily.”
“He isn’t. I’ll speak to him once he is more awake than he is now. I don’t think that he would appreciate me going in there now and bothering him.”
A couple hours had past and Rougestone was still sleeping.
“Alright, I think that that is enough time for him to rest. I am going to go in there and talk to him.”
“Good luck with that.” Alacrity said to her as she walked into the other room.

“Rouge, come on. We have to talk.” Sapphire said as she woke him up.
“Yeah, what’s up?” he said in a sluggish manner.
“Is there a reason that you are acting this way?”
“And what way would that be?”
“Seriously, look what you have done so far today.”
“So I am a little tired. You told me to take it easy.”
“Something just doesn’t seem right. What did you do yesterday?”
“I told you; I helped Tachi and I helped train Blaze.”
“What did you help Tachi with?”
“I helped collapse a condemned building. I wasn’t hurt or anything like that.”
“And what did you do with Blaze?”
“We trained in the plaza for a long time and that was it.”
“Are you sure that that was it? What kind of training did you and Blaze do?”
“What is with all of the questions?”
“I am just trying to see if anything is wrong. What did you guys do?”
“I told you, all we did was train. The plaza doubles as an open training room with training dummies.”
“If there is nothing that happened yesterday, then what is wrong?”
“I am just tired from training. The building was easy to destroy, but training that kid was something else.”
“He is just a fox, how hard could it be to train him?”
“You would be surprised with what that fox can do.”

“Try me. I have been wandering with you for the past ten years and I think that I have seen most things that there are to see.”
“This is a little bit different than what we are used to, and trust me; you have never seen or hear of this.”
“Than what is it?”
“If I tell you, it stays between us and only us.”
“I knew that there was something behind why you were so tired.”
“Blaze said that he and his father want to keep it a secret but Blaze entrusted me with it. It needs to stay between us.”
“Well, what is it?”
“Blaze has an element; fire to be more exact.”
“How can he? He is only an animal.”
“He said that he and his father have no clue about why he can do what he can do.”
“What can he do with his ‘fire’?”
“He can light himself on fire.”
“Seriously?”
“What? You don’t believe me?”
“Of course I believe you. I am just a little bit bewildered about it.”
“Well, I am not lying.”
“That would explain why you would be this tired. I didn’t think that a fox could tire you out, but I guess he can if he’s got an element.”
“Not a word of this to anyone unless Blaze tells everyone.”
“I got ‘cha. I won’t tell anyone.”
“I think that I have rested enough. I am going to see what is going on around the city.”
“You go ahead. I am going to stay here.”
“Alright, don’t forget about sending Alacrity.”
“I won’t, just go now and see what you can do.”
Rougestone left the room and past Alacrity on his way out.
“See ya later.” she said to him.
He nodded and left to go find Tachi once more.

Rougestone made his way over to the plaza and ran into Komo.
“I seem to just keep running into you guys.”
“Hello…Rougestone…”
“Have you seen Tachi?”
“I…don’t think…that he’s…working…today…”
“Not working?”
“I…don’t…know…. You…can…go and…see ‘em…. He lives…not far…from…here….”
“Point the way.”
Komo turned towards a part of the city that Rougestone hadn’t been to yet.
“Down…there…, five…buildings down…on your…left…”
“Thank you, Komo.”
“No…problem…” he said as he turned and continued on where he was headed earlier.
Rougestone made it to the fifth house and looked to his left. There, in the middle of the larger buildings, was a doorway sandwiched in between the structures. There was a sign hanging off of its last hinge and the only thing that Rougestone could read off of it was Tachi’s name written in renaissance lettering. There was a door, also on its last hinge, and it had had its handle blown clean off. Since there was the possibility of a lock being on the other side, Rougestone knocked twice, but just that was enough for the door to fall. Rougestone just looked around and the peered inside. The walls were littered with everything that could be used in a war. Maces, scythes, crossbows and quivers filled with arrows, armor plates and guards, everything that could be used against an enemy could be found in here. A rack of swords was set up in the center of the shop and a sharpener’s wheel was in the far, back right corner. The left corner held a small spiraling stair case that was just big enough for Tachi to use. The stairs led to a small balcony that over looked the shop and Rougestone could notice a small door that was open ajar. Through the small crack, he could only see what looked like the side of a bed frame. The door then opened more and Tachi walked out and onto the small balcony.
“Ah, Rougestone how are…what did you do to my door?”
“Sorry about that. It fell when I knocked.”
“That is alright, come in, come in. Like the place in which you are staying in, this is one of the only places that has a complete roof still attached to it. I didn’t plan on it that is just how it happened.”
“Quite a collection you’ve got here.”
“I sell most of them, but I do keep some of my favorites. I have a small case in my upstairs room that I keep them in. The rest that you see out here are open for purchase. Now don’t get me wrong, I do give my contribution to our army, but I have to get in some profit if I plan on keeping this little place open as weapons shop. Now, what can I do for you today?”
“You aren’t working today?” he asked Tachi
“Somehow I knew that that was going to come up. I have got my workers on a…well, let’s call it a break.”
“Strike?”
“No, no, heavens no, there are certain days that they just get off, and I can’t do all of the work on my own. I need days off too, and so far, everyone has been able to find shelter without have the entire city rebuilt.”
“I see your point.”
“Well, I doubt that you are here to buy something but I can show you some things that I have done.”
“I wouldn’t mind you showing off some of your work. We all have to have pride in some things.”
“So let’s get to it.” Tachi said as he descended the stair case as if it weren’t even there.
-Meanwhile-
“Have you seen Rougestone?!?!”

“At Tachi’s…”
“Thanks.”
“What’s…the rush-?” Komo was cut off as Alacrity ran to Tachi’s.
Back at Tachi’s, Rougestone was sitting in the back with Tachi at the sharpener’s wheel. He was pressing a piece of metal up against the spinning stone while pedaling with his right foot. Sparks showered downward as the stone grinded up against the sheet of metal.
“So how long does it take you to make one of these?”
“It all depends on what I am making. The style of the blade also effects how long it takes for me to finish.”
“How long have you been doing this?”
“For far too long.” he said with a small chuckle.
“It shows in the craftsmanship of the blades. How…”
“…does a badger get involved with weapons?” Tachi finished his question
“Yeah, how did you get involved with this line of work?”
“To make a long story short, swords have always fascinated me.” he spoke as the wheel met the metal in his hands, “The one that had me hooked is known as a two handed sword. It is a sword of immense weight but great power. It took me years just to be able to swing the sword without dropping it. Now I have created my own way of fighting with it in the most efficient way. It all has to do with weight distribution and momentum. By shifting the weight of the blade upward, I am able to use the momentum to launch myself. The same goes for any other direction; side stepping is easy when I use the weight of the blade as a center weight.”
“The size of a warrior doesn’t matter, if his skill and experience surpass that of his height.”
“I will take that as a compliment.”
“You should. Bluefire used to be set on becoming big and not being small anymore. You, on the other hand, have used it as an advantage.”
“Speaking of Bluefire, where is that kid?” asked Tachi
“That is going to have to wait!” Alacrity interrupted as she stepped into the door way.

Rougestone knew what it was about and before Tachi could even ask, he was out the door. He scooped up Alacrity and took off without any consent on whether or not she liked flying. He quickly flew over the building and weaved through the ones that were unavoidable. As they got closer to the building that housed Sapphire, Rougestone let Alacrity go on the ground and flew faster without the extra passenger. Alacrity kept up with Rougestone by leaping from building to building. He landed and rushed in through the doors and to the room where Sapphire was.
“I didn’t think that you would get here that fast. One of them started to move and I told Alacrity to take no chances and to go and find you.”
“No chances.” he repeated
“Where is Alacrity?”
“She should be here in a minute.”
“Did you leave her?”
“I flew her most of the way-”
“It is not a big deal, Sapphire.” interrupted Alacrity as she walked into the room, “I don’t mind a good run every now and then.”
“That is what Darkmatter said.” Sapphire replied
There was then a faint crack that only Alacrity seemed to notice.

“Did you guys hear that?”
“No, what was it?” asked Rougestone
“I heard a very faint crack that I guess you guys couldn’t hear.”
“You sure that you are ready for this?” Sapphire asked Rougestone
“We don’t have much of a choice now.” he answered her
She nodded and they focused their attention to the eggs.
“There it was again.” Alacrity said after a brief moment of silence.
“Are there any cracks on the eggs?” he asked Sapphire.
“None that I can see. I think that the red and brown one is the one that has been moving, though.”
“Why do you say that?” Rougestone asked her.
“Well, unless Alacrity moved it, it is not in the same spot as it was a little while ago.”
A louder crack was heard and this time, everyone heard it.

you guys have waited and the time has now come to welcome the new family members! in these next posts, you will get to meet some new characters! Enjoy!

A crack had appeared on the shell of the red and brown egg. It started from the top and traveled to about half way down the egg. Smaller cracks were now becoming more noticeable around the top of the egg where one of the spots was. More and more cracks started to appear and small flakes started to fall off from the top. Tiny orange-red horns were now starting to become visible. The rest of the top half of the egg then shattered and revealed a small red dragon that was littered with brown spots running down his back. The hatchling squirmed a little bit and broke the rest of the egg. The webbing on his wings was a dark shade of red and his tail closely matched that of his father’s; the only difference was its color. The only real surprise was the color of his eyes. Instead of a shade of red or green like his father; they were a brilliant shade of blue.
“Any ideas on a name?” asked Rougestone as his new son just sat there on the ground and looked around.
“I like…Solar.” Sapphire answered him.
“Me too; Solar it is.”
“Come here, Solar,” Rougestone started to say to him. The tiny dragon just looked up at him and sneezed fire at him.
“I guess he gets that from you.” Sapphire said as she started to laugh at the small charred mark on Rougestone’s nose. Solar, imitating Sapphire, started to laugh with her. Rougestone smiled down at him and wiped the black off of his face.
“Sapphire, depending on the gender of the other one, I think I know what to name it if it is a girl.” Rougestone said
“Sapphire!” Solar squeaked.
“Call me mom, Solar.” she corrected him
“Solar!” he said in reply
“That is your name, Solar.”
“Solar! Mom!”
“And I am your dad.” Rougestone said to the little dragon that was now trying to stand.
“Solar! Mom! Dad!” he said as he stood up.
“At least he is getting it.” Rougestone said to Sapphire.
“Who’s that?” asked Solar as he pointed to Alacrity.
Sapphire and Rougestone both looked at each other and knew what each other were thinking; Solar was going to be a quick study.
“This is Alacrity.”
“Alacity.” he said as he tried to pronounce her name.
“Alacrity.” repeated Sapphire
“Alacrity!” he repeated after her.
“Good.”
“And what is that?” Solar asked as he pointed to the blue egg that had now shifted due to the absence of Solar’s egg.
“That is your brother or sister.”
“I have a ball as my brother or sister?” asked Solar
“No, no, no, he or she is inside the ‘ball’.” Sapphire answered, trying to hold back the laughter that was now building up inside her.
“When is he or she comin’ out?”
“I don’t know. We will have to wait and see.”
Solar turned to Rougestone and looked up at him again. Rougestone had lain down but was still much taller than him.
“Why are you guys so big?” he asked
Rougestone now looked over at Sapphire and once again they both knew what they were thinking; another Bluefire.

“When is he or she going to come out?” Solar wouldn’t take his eyes off of the blue egg. He had been asking that same question for an hour, now.
“I don’t know Solar.” answered Rougestone. He hadn’t moved from where he was when Solar hatched.
Alacrity had gone off to tell Darkmatter that one of the eggs had hatched and that they were waiting on the second one.
“When is he or she going to come out?”
“I don’t know.” Rougestone answered.
“I wasn’t asking you, dad, I was asking mom.”
“I don’t know either, Solar.”
“Come on, when is he or she-”
He was cut off by a cracking noise.
“Mom! Dad! He or she’s comin’!” Solar cried
“Alright, alright, I am coming.” Sapphire had said as she gotten up and went over to the egg.
Solar went over to his mother and was almost jumping up and down in excitement.
“Brother or sister?”
“We will find out soon. Just have patience.”
Cracks started to form on the outside of the shell and began to flake just like Solar’s egg had done. Bits and pieces of the shell then started to fall off and land softly on the ground. A blue leg then broke through the shell and started to move. Solar went over and poked it; it twitched as soon as it was touched.
“Son, step back from the egg and let it finish.” Rougestone said to his curious son.
“Ok, dad.”
There was then another crack and the top of the egg fell in on the hatchling in one piece. It came back up with a blue neck. While Solar was trying to see what was in the egg, Rougestone got up and went over to the egg. He flipped the egg shell off of the hatchling’s head and looked inside; two big hazel eyes looked back at him.

“Lunar, that is what her name shall be.”
“I like it. That name is alright with me.” Sapphire answered
Lunar was still hidden in her egg to where Solar couldn’t see her.
“Brother or sister?”
“Sister.” Rougestone answered
“Aw, I wanted a brother.”
“Well, you’ve got a sister instead.”
“Is she comin’ out of there?”
“I don’t know. Come on, Lunar.”
“Do you think that that is a good idea, Rouge? Remember Solar?”
“Yeah, but she is blue and most likely has your elements.”
Rougestone got closer to the egg and tried again.
“Come on, Lunar, it’s your dad speaking-”
A little blue flame shot out of the egg shell and burned Rougestone’s nose again. Sapphire couldn’t hold in her laughter and started cracking up. Solar joined in and so did another laughter that came from the egg.
“You think that that is funny?” he asked in a playful way.
He stuck his head into the egg shell and came out with a very blue, baby dragon holding onto it. She was having a ball and giggling hysterically. She had dark blue spots running down her back and one lone black one. Her horns were a shade of blue that was a little bit darker than her body; which was a light blue. The webbing of her wings matched the color of her horns and her eyes were a hazel brown.
“Dad!” she said in between her laughter.
As she started to calm down, she looked down at Solar.
“Who’s he, dad?”
“That is your brother and his name is Solar.” he said as he slowly lowered his head and Lunar let go of it.
“And this is your mom.” Rougestone said as Sapphire pulled herself together from laughing and came over to them.
“Hello, Lunar.”
“Hi, mom.”
“We are in for it now.” Rougestone said to Sapphire.
“Yes, we are, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way.”
"Me neither."

Wait, there less than a day old and they can already talk?
Kinda odd, but still awsome story, keeping writing!
But i'm gonna guess we're in for another little time jump.

yeah, they can speak, but not very well. Maybe a sentence or two at a time.

“You know that we are going to have to tell him.”
“Yeah, I know Rouge.”
“He’ll be fine. He has really matured over the years.”
“As long as we tell him alone. I don’t want another outburst like when we told him that we were married.”
“Do you have any idea where he is?”
“No, I have been too preoccupied with the eggs and now the kids.”
“I’ll talk to Darkmatter. He is going to want to know about Lunar anyway. Will you be alright being here alone, or should I wait for Alacrity to come back?”
“I should be alright. As long as the door stays shut and they can’t get out.”
“Ok, then I’m going to go and find Darkmatter.”
“Where’re you goin’, dad?” asked Solar
“Outside for a little bit.”
“Can I come?” asked Solar
“Me too!” added Lunar
“You guys have to stay here with your mom. You can come with me later.”
“Aw!” they both said at the same time.
“Are you sure that you are going to be okay?”
“Yes, just go and find Darkmatter, oh, and if he would like to come and see them, I don’t see a problem with that.”
“Ok, I’ll see you guys in a little bit.”
Rougestone left and made sure to close the door behind him.

“Darkmatter always seems to be at the conference room when I need to talk to him, so I’ll go there first.” Rougestone said to himself.
He took off and headed towards the conference room to look for Darkmatter. As he flew, he could see some of the workers working on the buildings down below.
“I guess that Tachi is off from his break.” he said to himself.
He landed outside of the building that housed the conference room and walked in.
“Are you here, Darkmatter? I wonder where he is.”
A dark figure then attempted to tackle Rougestone but only missed by an inch.

“Rougestone, nice of you to come and see me. How are the kids?”
“What was that about, Darkmatter?”
“Oh, nothing. Just stay still.” Darkmatter jumped at Rougestone again but Rougestone sent a wall up and he jumped into it.
“What’s gotten into you?” Rougestone asked the slumped fox.
“Nothing.” he said as he picked his head and looked over at Rougestone. Rougestone could notice that there was something wrong with his eyes. There was a very small trace of what looked like smoke coming from his eyes; shadow.
“This ought to be interesting. How many more of you do they have?”
“You will find out soon enough.” Darkmatter said to him.

Bluefire was walking in another part of the city and talking to himself “Why didn’t I stay with Sapphire? I could have caught up with her and Rougestone. Married? I should have seen it coming, especially with the way that Sapphire acted towards him when we were kids. I don’t know why I snapped when they said that they were married. Rougestone’s a good guy and it is not like I don’t get along with him. It has just been so long. There is so much that Sapphire and I could talk about. The new things that we have both learned over the years, the places that she has seen, or I could talk to Sapphire about Her-” he was cut off from himself as he was hit from behind.

“Do you mind telling me what that was about?” Bluefire asked as he stood up.
“It is…for me…too know…and…for you…to not…know…”
Bluefire noticed that a shadow had taken over Komo’s eyes; just like Darkmatter.
“You in there?” he asked Komo.
“You…catch on…pretty fast. No…he’s not.”
“Then I have no reason to hold back.”
“No…you don’t.”

“He is inside there; he just said that so I wouldn’t hold back on fighting him.” Bluefire said to himself.
“Come on, dragon.” Komo started to taunt.
“Only since you asked so nicely.” Bluefire said as he approached Komo.
“Let’s go, dragon.” Komo said as he swiped at Bluefire with his tail.
Bluefire dodged it easily by ducking and retaliated with his own tail. It hit and sent Komo back a little.
“No fire? I want to see it.”
“I don’t find it necessary to use it on you.”
“Come on, use it!”
“I think that I will pass on that. I don’t need an element to take you.”
“Come on, the only dragon that can use a blue flame is too scared to use it?”
“This is definitely not Komo. He just stopped pausing, which means that someone else is speaking for him.” Bluefire said to himself.
Komo started to close the gap that Bluefire had created and tried to throw himself at Bluefire again. Bluefire just side stepped and Komo kept going on his intended path. Komo shot past him and crashed through one of the walls that belonged to one of the condemned buildings that were near by. The force against the wall caused it to cave along with some of the building that was still attached to the top of the wall.
“Someone might have control over him, but it is not a very good control. That or they don’t know how to control him efficiently.” Bluefire said to himself.
There was no sign of movement under the debris so Bluefire kept going to where he was going before he ran into Komo.
“If it can be reversed, I hope that he is not dead.” Bluefire started to talk to himself. “I was going to head over and see Rougestone to just catch up but now I think that there is something else that we need to talk about.”

i will write more whenever i get the chance to. with the holiday break getting closer i will have more of a chance to write, and during the break i am going to wite like crazy! anyone that reads my story better check over the break so as to not miss anything

“And how soon is soon?”
“Always asking questions. Instead of worrying about what will happen later, why not worry about what is going to happen now.” Darkmatter said as he got up.
“From what I have seen from you just now, you don’t pose much of a threat to me.”
“Not yet I don’t. I will soon enough.”
“Are you going to let Darkmatter speak, or are you just going to keep rambling?” Rougestone asked him.
“You catch on pretty quick. Bluefire figured it out just as fast as you did. You must have had an influence on him.”
“I know that Bluefire can take care of himself, and that also means that this has happened to the others.”
“And I thought that you weren’t going to get it this fast.” he said in a sarcastic tone, “I guess that I under estimated the ‘great’ Rougestone.” he said.
“Well, I didn’t think that I was that well known.”
“More than you know, and to answer your earlier question, no I will not let Darkmatter speak. Not at the moment, but he will have his chance to cry for help.”
“You also under estimate Darkmatter, as well. I wouldn’t get too cocky just because you have control over him.”
“You have no need to worry about me, Rougestone.”
“You are right; you have yourself to do that.”
