she looked at him, and smiled.

Nightfire then looked back at the sky.

Starfire also looked back up at the sky. she saw the stars shine brighter then shes ever seen them shine.

'It's beautiful out tonight.'

"yes, it is..." she said, smiling.

'But it isnt as good, compared to you.' He said, then turning his head.

Star looked at him, smiling. she blushed a little bit. her blue eyes sparkled in the moonlight.

'What? It's true...' He said smiling more.

Starfire smiled. her eyes almost sparkled as much as the stars. the moonlight gave her a beautiful purple glow, that made her even more beautiful.
"its this light......it makes my eyes sparkle..."

'Oh i dont think it's just the light....'

Starfire smiled. her eyes sparkled a beautiful blue color. the moonlight made her beautiful purple glow more beautiful. even her horns, claws, and tail shined in the moonlight. she glowed as beatuiful as the moon itself.
"well....it probally helps a little...."

'Just maybe a little.....'

Starfire still glowed radiantly. she looked up at the night sky. the stars shined brightly above them. the stars formed into the shape of a heart above them. Starfire smiled.

Nightfire looked up and smiled.

Starfire looked up at the night sky. the stars shined brightly, the moon was full and glowed radiantly, it was certainly a beautiful night.

Nightfire looked down. He was enjoying the night.

Star looked at him. then she heard something. she looked outside, and saw an owl sitting on a tree branch. it looked at her, and hooted. she smiled, and looked back up at the sky.

Nightfire looked up.

the owl hooted again. Star looked at it. it turned its head all the way around, and then looked at her. it hooted again. Star smiled at it. it almost looked like the owl smiled, and then it flew away into the night.

'I havent had a night like this before........'

"me niether...." she said. she saw the owl fly around. she watched it fly into the night, and hoot as it flew. "i keep seeing this owl..."

'Hm.....wonder why.'

"i don't know...." she said. then she saw the owl once more. it few around, hooting. it then started flying towards them. "uh...i don't know why....but its flying towards us..."

'Hm?' Nightfire looked forward to see it was. 'Should we move...or?'

"i don't know...." she said, as she watched the owl. it hooted as it flew towards them. it looked friendly. the owl got closer. it reached the cave, and hovered in the air in front of them. "ok.....thats wierd...." she said, looknig at the owl. it contineud to hover and hoot.

'Yeah........once a beautiful night turned weird.'

"yep...." she said, as she watched the owl. it just hovered there, hooting. Star wondered what it was doing. "what do you want?" she asked it. it just hovered, and hooted. "ok....uh...i don't speak owl....can you speak english?" she asked. the owl continued to hoot. "i have no idea what it wants...."

'Me....neither........Is it... trying to suggest something?'

"i don't know......." she said. the owl continued hooting. "we don't understand you..." she said. then the owl hooted louder. "yeah....that doesn't help...." she said. the owl then stopped for a moment. it then flew into the cave. it flew past them, and landed on the floor. Star got up and looked at it. "ok.....why did it come in here...?" she asked. then the owl looked at her. it hooted loudly, and it sounded like it was in distress.

'O...k.........so we have a disstressed owl hooting at us......'

Star looked at the owl. the owl looked at her worriedly. it hooted loudly.
"i think......its trying to tell us something......what is it?" she asked. the owl just hooted loudly. "this isn't getting us anywhere......" she said. then she chanted a spell. "this spell shoulh help us understand the owl..." she said. then the owl hooted loudly.
"oh, please, help me!! my egg is missing!! my egg is missing!!" she hooted.

'Does that spell work the other way?'

"i think so....." she said. she looked at the owl. "what happened?" she asked. the owl hooted loudly.
"i went out to get food......and when i came back....my egg was gone!!"

'Any idea's on what could have happened?'

"i don't know!! all i know....is that my egg is missing!! somebody must have stolen my poor little egg!!" she hooted.
"an owl egg? why would someone steal just a regular owl egg?" Star asked.
"i just want my egg back!! can you please help me?!"

i have to go, bye.

'Well, i suppose we will.'

the owl hooted excitedly.
"oh, thank you!!" she hooted. Star looked at her.
"its no big deal......we're use to it.....well...the peace is over with........lets go find the egg....."
"oh....i'm so sorry.....am i interupting your lives?"
"a little bit...."

'But nothing much...'

"well.....as long as you don't mind.....please bring me back my egg!"
"we'll do our best..."
"oh, thank you! i'll be at my home, in the tree outside..." she said. then she flew away.

'Any idea's?'

"its an owl's egg.....it probally just fell out of te tree...lets go look around..." she said. then she looked around on the ground for an egg.

Nightfire looked round aswell.

Star saw some tiny tracks leading to a small cave. she then followed them.

Nightfire saw Starfire and decided to follow her.

Star followed the tracks up to a small cave. she looked inside, it was really dark. then she thought she heard something inside.
"mommy?! mommy?!" hooted a baby owl. Star walked inside and looked at the tiny bird.
"whats wrong little one?" she asked in a caring voice. the little owl looked at her.
"are you my mommy?"

Nightfire walked in.
'No, but your mummy is really scared about you.......she thinks something bad happened to you.' He said calmly.

the owl looked at him.
"are you my daddy?"
"apparently the poor little thing is mixed up.....we're dragons....your an owl....we're not related....but we can take you to your mommy...." she said. the little owl looked confused.
"you not family?"
"no.....but we'll take you home......come on..." she said. the baby owl hesitated to go with them.

'Uh...i see where this is headed.' He said to Starfire. He walked up carefully. 'Now, we're not your parents, for more than one reason, but your real mum is scared she lost you. We can take you to her, but you need to trust us, and i promise, we're not going to hurt you. Ok?'

Star looked at the little owl with motherly eyes.
"you can trust us..." she said calmly. the little owl then walked up to Nightfire, and nudged agaist him. Star smiled.
