Another was labled Water and Earth for Mages, and the last one was labled Summoning different creatures for mages. "What one would you like to start on first?" Mallory asked as she faced the books towards her.

"I didn't have a teacher," Sapphire said. "My mother taught me a few spells and helped me which I first practiced magic, but I've practised on my own since then. I can only control ice. I can't control any other element. I'm not a skilled mage like you."

"I can't control the other elements," Sapphire said. "I've tried. You were lucky to be born as a skilled mage. I was born as a regular mage, one that can only master one element. My element is ice. Not all mages can control all the elements like you."
"I had a cruel teacher that would beat me and cut me until I got my spells right" Mallory said. She moved her hand and rubbed a scar that ran down her forearm. "I decided to try and teach regular mages that came to visit the school the elements. I tought them for weeks and they soon started casting other elements. I can teach you the same way" Mallory said.

"It won't work." Sapphire turned away from Mallory. "I can only master ice. I've tried for years to learn another element. I can't. Ice is the only element I can master."
Sapphire shook her head. "You were born a skilled mage Mallory. You mastered all elements. I'm a regular mage. You can't turn a regular mage like me into a skilled mage like you. Stop trying to help me. It's not working." She stood up. "I'm going for a walk." She walked off towards the forest.
"You don't understand. You just give up and keep to yourself. You don't want me to help you. You only want to help yourself" Mallory said, her voice in a whisper.

Sapphire turned around. "I don't want you to help me because you are talking complete nonsense!" she cried. "You're acting like you can change people's fates. YOU CAN'T. You can't change a regular mage into a skilled mage. It doesn't work. The regular mages you trained were probably skilled mages too if they mastered all the elements. I am a regular mage. I KNOW I AM. I cannot change." She turned and walked off into the forest.
Mallory turned and looked at Sapphire as she walked. She said a spell and her stuff went back into her bag. She got up and used a spell to heal Faruto's wounds. She looked at Viruto. Viruto nodded as she packed up her things and the cooked food that she cooked earlier. Faruto grabbed his bag. Both Viruto and Faruto had their daggers out while Mallory held her staff. They started to walk into the forest, away from the group.

Sapphire tightened her grip. "YOU IDIOTS AREN'T MAKING ANY SENSE!" she yelled. She swung her staff in that direction and suddenly a huge gust of wind circled around them and they suddenly became trapped in a large block of ice. It was so thick that not even Mallory could break it from the inside.
"You fool, you don't know who you are yet. You can't open up to yourself and I sensed that." Mallory sent her in thought. Viruto tried to move but her skin was starting to turn ice blue. Faruto was as blue as could be. "You will end up killing us and you will be stuck with the guilt of a murderer" Mallory sent again.

Sapphire walked up to ice and made a little space for the three to stand in, but the ice was still very thick. "Me, confused? I am not the confused one here," she said angrily. "You three are not making any sense, so tell me why you are leaving, EVEN THOUGH you just said before that you were coming with me to defeat Overlord Zenon. If you don't, well then, who knows what will happen."
Mallory held her staff up and made a fire in the ice for Viruto and Faruto to get warm. "It is our destiny to defeat Lord Zenon. We only tagged along to give us company but we realize now that we don't need it" Mallory said.

Mallory just looked at her. "I bet you never knew about the attack did you?" Mallory said as she looked away trying to keep tears from falling from her eyes.

You're lying about many things."
"Oh, I don't think so." Sapphire tilted her head and the ice became even more thick. "And I'm talking to your friend Mallory, not you or your brother. I suggest you two stay quiet."
