Part 69: Two hour countdown

"What the heck?!" Rookie yelled, tackling the door. "Hey! Let us out! Is this how you people deal with an emergency!?" He yelled. "It's useless,Rookie. Their not going to let us out." Fireball said as he looked out the window. "Man,this sucks! Aren't Light and Sapphire doing anything to get us out?!" Blizzard yelled. "Everyone,settle down. I know you're all upset, but I think I know their reasoning." Sandstorm said. The others glared at him. "What could possibly be a good reason to lock us up at a time like this,when there's only three hours until you-know-what happens!?" Pablo snapped. "Well...it wouldn't exactly do Dragon City any good if some of their strongest dragons made an attempt to fly to a faraway lake and got themselves corrupted, now would it?" He replied. "Oh! By the way, Sandstorm,why are you in here?" Diamond asked. "Because your precious city dosen't trust me. They believe I could be a spy for Black and Darkness,even know I told them it was the other way around." He explained. "Oh. I see." Diamond replied. "Why don't we just blow up a wall or break the windows?" Pablo asked. "I doubt Dragon City would lock us up in here without putting some kind of shield around this place." Fireball replied. "You know, Fireball, you're seem pretty calm for someone who just had his cousin corrupted and his other one killed!" Rookie said as she started pacing around the room. As he turned his back to the others, he could feel Fireball's angry glare at him from behind. "What exactly are you saying? That I don't care?!" He finally said. "Okay! Let's not fight now!" Hope yelled before Rookie could reply. "Guys,Hope's right. We're not going to get anywhere by fighting." Diamond said. "Well, why don't we just bust down the shield? I'm sure if we work together,we can do it!" Blizzard said. Fireball perked his head up at the suggestion. "Yeah! That could work!" He said, he then turned toward the window. "But there are too many people right now. I suggest we wait-" "WAIT?!!" Rookie and Pablo both yelled at once. "There's like,three hours left before Wanderist has to use that fury! We don't have TIME to wait! Dawn needs us!" Pablo yelled. "If we try now, the citizens will likely go find Mack and have him put the shield back up or worse. If we wait until nobody is around, nobody can inform him." Fireball said, his eyes still watching the citizens run around panicking. Rookie and Pablo looked at each other,then sighed. "I hope they clear out soon. We'll give them 15-20 minutes, okay?" Rookie said.

Meanwhile....

Dawn and Dark Wanderist where fighting when a servant hit Dawn with a ice blast from behind, freezing her wing, causing her to fall to the ground with a laud thud. "OW!!" She yelled. "What the-?!" Dark Wanderist said before being cut off by Seyour,followed by several servants. "Please forgive us,princess Wanderist. We didn't want to interrupt your fight, but we had to. Your parents ordered us to take care of it. They decided you needed to save your energy." Seyour explained. Not able to argue with Seymour over an order given by her parents, she looked away angrily. "Fine. Get her out of my sight!" DW ordered.

An hour later...

Dawn found herself locked up in a dark chamber. Locked up by Seymour. As he walked away, she called after him. "Hey! I want to know something!" She yelled. Seymour stopped and half turned to her, but didn't answer. "What do you plan to do with me?" She asked. "You are to sit here and wait for the next two hours until the new world is born." He replied. Dawn growled. "I meant, what do you want with me? What do you want with ShadowWing's power?!" She asked again. Seymour smirked and turned back to the exit. As he walked out of the chamber, he answered her question, somewhat. "We merely want to use your power against Evil. Now,sit down and watch helplessly for the next two hours!" He laughed, then walked out.

PS. I'm pretty sure Dawn wouldn't get locked up like that so easily, but I don't have time to make a five page fight, so I'm gonna have to be a bit un-realistic. Sorry PD09.

Part 70: The fury

Meanwhile....

"Urgh...what happened?" A female dragon asked as she woke up from being uncontentious. She got up and looked around a dark,gloomy cave. "What the heck?! This is heaven?!" She yelled out laud. "You're not in heaven, you idiot. Jeez,I've always disliked how you jump to conclusions like that." A male voice said,causing the girl to jump. "Wha-who's there?! Don't believe I won't beat the crap out of you! If I'm not in heaven, then am I in the underworld or something?" She shouted. The boy let out a sigh. "No. You're not dead, genius. I saved you." He said. "Huh? And who might you be?" Asked the girl. "Heh. Figures. You'd think you'd recognize my voice,but noo. " And with that, the boy stepped out of the shadows where the girl could see him. Her eyes widen at the sight. "Y-YOU?!!" She shouted.
Meaaanwhile...

Dawn paced around in circles in her cage, unable to do anything, when it started. She saw a ray of the mysterious element fly out of the center of the dark castle. "Crap..." She sighed. "I'm sorry, Wanderist. It seemed we all failed you. We weren't supposed to let this happen to you in the first place... now you're being forced to do something you don't want to do." She said to herself.
Dark Wanderist stood in the center of a large circle of grublins,apes, and evil dragons, and Black and Darkness standing on a stand. "Everyone,it's time." Black announced. "Wanderist,your dark princess and future queen,is about to end this world as we know it, and turn it into the evil land we've wanted it to be since the beginning of time." Then Darkness spoke. "Yes,everyone. This young, not even an adult dragon, is about to give us a great gift. She will go down in history forever. She holds a very special power, a power that only she has. The power of the border of light and darkness. This power will help her grant us this gift. On top of that, it has given her unimaginable power. It is obviously a gift for herself as well. And now, with her alter ego dealt with, she can use these powers as she pleases." She explained, the dark army listening carefully. "And now... she has harnessed enough negative (dark) and positive (ultra-light) energy to use an attack never seen before. An ability that will destroy this "goodie" world, change the goodie creatures of this world into us, then put it back together into a brand new world with no pitiful goodie dragons. However, bear in mind that after this, we still have the war against Evil. We must make him bow down to us. And with all the forces we'll gain from this, it's a certainty that we will." Black said. As Dark Wanderist listened, the real Wanderist also listened, and tried to fight DW for control. Dark Wanderist started screeching in pain,interrupting what Black was about to say. "Wanderist?! What's wrong?!" Darkness yelled.

In Wanderist's mind, her alter ego was pulled into her dream world. "WHAT?!" She screamed. She then saw Wanderist charging an ultralight beam. "I won't let you, or me, destroy this world, much less turn all my friends evil!" She yelled, then shot a larger ultra light ray then usual, and this time, it hit Dark Wanderist,causing a laud, painful scream to erupt from her, both in the dream world and in reality. "WANDERIST!!" Darkness and Black yelled. Seymour groaned. "It seems that annoying alter ego of her's is still trying to gain control." He said. Darkness then looked at him. "Wait... Seymour, go get me some dark crystals! Fast!" Darkness ordered, not wanting her daughter's "alter ego" to come back. Seymour nodded and flew off.
Wanderist and Dark Wanderist fought for several minutes, both equal. "How is this happening?! Last time, I was able to defeat you easily!" She yelled. "At that time, most of my energy was being sucked away, and you were gaining power! It wasn't a fair fight! THIS one is though, and I'm going to win it this time!" Wanderist yelled, then shot a ultra light ray at DW,who intercepted it with convexity. However, just as Wanderist shot another ul ray at DW, her convexity ray intercepted and won, pushing toward Wanderist, who jumped out of the way. "What the-?!" Wanderist yelled, only to see a bunch of dark energy being sucked into DW. "Wha-what's going on with her?!" She asked herself. DW heard her and glanced at her. "You see, you don't really think my parents would let you regain control again, did you? Even as we speak, they have dark crystals around me, helping me gain the power to defeat you!" Dark Wanderist roared, then shot a convexty beam so strong, Wanderist's ultra light didn't stand a chance. Wanderist didn't even have time to dodge before the powerful ray hit her,causing her an enormous amount of pain,ending the battle. "Pfft. Wow. How pitiful." Dark Wanderist said, then went back to reality.
"Wanderist....?" Darkness said softly to her "daughter." "It's okay, mother. I'm fine. Thanks to you, I won control over her. Now,let us proceed. I need to hurry up and redo this world before more of her goodie friends come here." Dark Wanderist said, getting back in position to do the fury. Darkness nodded, then looked at Black. "Ready...?" Black said, getting exited. The dark army roared, then he looked at Dark Wanderist. Just then, the exact moment that happened in the portal of visions in Hope's lair (part 8-9) occurred. "Wanderist, do it now!" Black roared. Dark Wanderist then rose up into the sky, her grey crystal glowing, the glow then spread to her entire body. She closed her eyes for a few seconds, then,her eyes now glowing black, she expanded the grey light out throughout the world. "It's just as Hope said, all that time ago. I needed to be destroyed. Now, because I wouldn't let her, my alter ego has taken over me...forever...and now my friends must all suffer......and because of this,Sally is dead. I am sorry...Dawn,Pablo,Fireball,Hope,Diamond, Blizzard, Bubbles,Light,Mack,Sally.....and you,Rookie. I'm so sorry...." Wanderist thought in her mind as it all occurred. "It's the end...I couldn't stop it...nobody could stop it..."

As Rookie,Pablo,Hope,Diamond,Blizzard,and Sandstorm were running through the city, they saw the light beaming out of where the southern lake was supposed to be. "Oh no...we're too late!" Fireball yelled. "WANDERIST!!" "DAWN!!" Rookie and Pablo shouted. They ran toward the hole in the city only to find Light and many other citizens of Dragon City there. "Heh. I knew you'd break through that force field... didn't think it would take that long, though." Mack said. "Yeah... we had to wait for the crowd to clear. What's going on? Why is everyone at this hole?! We need to do something to stop this,save Wanderist!" Rookie yelled. "We're GOING to save Wanderist, Rookie. But right now, we have to let this happen. We're all out of-"Light said, but just then, the light started to cover Dragon City. "CRAP!!" Blizzard yelled. "You two first! Otherwise we'll never get this done!" Light yelled, then pushed Rookie and Pablo both down the hole screaming for dear life. "What the-Dude,are you cra-" Hope yelled, but then was cut off by Light tossing her and Blizzard down as well. "Okay,that's just-" Fireball tried to say before getting tossed down with Diamond. Nobody else hesitated after that. After everyone was in the hole, Light flew in, the fury following close behind him down the hole.

Part 71: The "new world" (END)

Light finally reached the bottom of the long,dark hole while Sapphire was catching the citizens (however,not all the citizens made it to the hole,so some where effected by the fury.) "Sapphire!? How the heck did you-" Diamond asked, before he cut her off. "That dosen't matter!" He yelled as he saw Light diving down, the fury following close behind. "Light! Hurry!" Mack yelled. When finally reaching the bottom, he started to glow, then the glow moved to the entrance of the hole in which everyone fell in. It then made a special ultra light shield, stopping the fury from hitting them. "Wow! That shield can actually hold that fury off?" Hope said,amazed. "Well... it simply deflects any darkness, so this attack can't get in." Light explained. "So... how long will it hold?" Blizzard asked. "Oh, for as long as I live,or until I take it down." He replied. Everyones' eyes widen. "Wow! Impressive! You really have gotten stronger,Light." Mack said. "But Light, what about-" Rookie tried to say before being cut off. "Yes, I know. Wanderist. We're going to have to hide for a while until-" "You want us to WHAT?! Dawn's already been forced to turn into ShadowWing by this fury, citizens in Dragon City have been turned evil, and you want us to HIDE?!!" Pablo yelled, Fireball having to stop him from charging at Light, who let out a sigh. "I'm sorry, Pablo. But we have to start researching for a way to go out there without being harmed (which could take a long time since we just lost the lab) and Dawn's alright. She may be in ShadowWing form right now, but we will get her out. Besides, right now would probably be when they expect us to try to strike back, if we wait,they will probably assume we're dead and forget about us." Light said.
The citizens who got into the hole made a camp in a large area of the tunnel. The dragons were wondering around it when a large female voice yelled into the camp. "Oh? It seems we were too late,if citizens have already made camp here...." The voice let out a sigh. "Sorry, Wanderist..." "Who's there?!" Rookie yelled. "Are you serous,Rookie? You don't recognize my voice?" She said, watching as Rookie stepped back. "How do you know my name?!" He yelled. "Jeez,Rook. Don't get so worked up. We're your friends, did you forget?" A male voice said, stepping next to the female shadow. "What are you talking about?" Pablo asked. "Fireball?" Hope said,seeing a shocked expression on his face. "That voice...!" He gasped. "Finally! Someone who recognizes it! Remember,guys? A voice like no other, that's what Fireball here used to call it. But since you have all hit your heads or something, perhaps we should step out of the shadows." The girl said, glancing at the boy,who nodded. "Right. Let's remind them." He said with a smirk. And with that, they stepped out of the shadows and into plain sight. One was white with blue wings, blue spikes along his back, blue horns, a blue tail spike,and a scar on his eye. And the female was black with a yellow stomach, lime green horns,tail,and yellow wings. "It-it can't be!" Rookie gasped as he saw the two. "Silver...SALLY?!!" Fireball yelled, not believing it.
They took Sally and Silver back to the main part of the camp so they could explain. "You see, I saw Sally tackling that black dragon, I knew she was going to crash... so I used my epic teleporting (sp?) powers to get her to safety. As soon as Silver finished his sentence, he got a smack in the face with Sally's tail. "DON'T remind me!" She said angrily. "Too late, I just did." He laughed. Then Sally sighed. "So,I take it Wanderist is..." Rookie nodded. "I'm sorry, Sally... I did all I-" "It's not your fault, Rookie. You're like, in love with my sister, I know you did everything in the book to save her. I know you wouldn't just let her be corrupted.." Sally said,cutting him off. There was a silence, then Rookie stood up. "We're going to save her. Someday, we'll save Wanderist, Dawn, everyone." He assured everyone, followed by Fireball and Pablo, and eventually everyone. "Yeah!" They all said. "It's okay,Wanderist. It's not your fault. Now it's going to be our turn to save you, as you did several times in the past." Rookie thought.

Dark Wanderist stood in her large room looking out the window,fighting the real Wanderist at the time and had just defeated her yet again using a dark crystal. "Dang it...she won't go away...how long can I hold out? If she takes control again...mother and father may have to-" Someone knocked on the door. "Who is it?" She asked. "Seymour, ma'am." A voice said. DW sighed. "What is it, Seymour?" "Queen Darkness wanted me to see if you wanted anything." Seymour replied. Dark Wanderist thought for a moment. "Okay. Go get me a steak and some headache medicine!" She ordered, then,hearing Seymour run off to get her what she wanted, she looked out the window again. "GO AWAY!! Nobody wants you anymore! Even if your friends are not servants, they don't want you,they believe you're responsible for this! And for the most part,you are!" Dark Wanderist yelled in her mind, staring into the new, dark world. Her headache due to Wanderist's attempts to break free continued, just when there was another knock on the door,causing Dark Wanderist to look back. "Yes?Seymour,is that you?" Dark Wanderist asked. "No,Wanderist. It's me." "Mother? Come on in." Dark Wanderist replied,watching as Darkness came into the room with everything she had asked her for and something else. A case. "Oh,thank you,mother." Dark Wanderist said, taking the steak and medicine. "You won't be needing that medicine now. I have something that will hold your alter ego in there." Darkness said, handing her the case. Dark Wanderist opened it to find a necklace with a dark crystal on it. "Oh pretty! It'll make me look more beautiful and keep my alter ego out of my way! Mother,thank you so much!"
After Darkness left the room, Dark Wanderist walked over to her window and stared at the dark sky,her necklace now around her neck. "HA! You can't bother me anymore! All you can do from now on is watch. This dark crystal will stop you from even being able to fight me!" Dark Wanderist told Wanderist happily.

Outside...

Outside, in Avalar, in all forests, all around the world, all the trees and grass were dead. The ground had nothing but sand and dirt. The water was dull and tasted terrible,yet all the now evil creatures that roamed this world loved it. The sky was dark and gloomy. When it wasn't plain with maybe a few dark clouds in the sky, it was raining and thundering, maybe some cold snow. Nothing in the world had any beauty anymore,no light. The world everyone knew had been torn apart,all the creatures corrupted, and replaced it with this dark,gloomy,evil world where war had no end.
At the other side of the world....

A dark figure stood at the top of a lair when a servant came in. "Sir,we've confirmed it. The one who turned this world into this... was the dark princess.... the daughter of Black and Darkness." He said. "Hm...for once, I need to thank those two. This girl... if she really did all this...we could use her against her precious parents." The dragon figure said. The servant bowed his head. "Yes,master Evil."

THINGS TO EXPECT IN NEXT STORY

• More air and ground melee combat- In case you couldn't tell, the past three stories have been mainly full of elemental fighting, which can honestly get boring quickly. So this is going to have more REAL fighting, not just shooting each other with convexity and stuff like that (yes, elements still will be used for fighting, just not as much.
  
• More talking/fighting parts for Diamond,Blizzard, Hope, Fireball, ect. - Wanderist, Sally, Dawn, Rookie, and Pablo have been the ones getting the main talking parts, being the major characters. This is not fair, but since I've had so many characters in the story, it's been a bit difficult to give all the characters speaking parts. So in this story, I plan to try to change that.
  
• More about Wanderist and Sally's past, the new world, Wanderist's powers, Evil, Light's past, Hope's powers, Dawn/ ShadowWing's powers, Sally and Freezer's blasted relationship, (yes, it is ended, Sally's going to make sure of that. You'll see what I mean. Let's just say, this is where Sally finally gets over the hobo.) Fireball and Hope's relationship,and more.
  
• More fights and things explained more clearly.
  
• WARNING FOR BLOOD-HATERS: Yes, this story IS going to have more bloodshed. No, it's not going to be too bad. It's not going to be anything that violent. It's simply going to have dragons ACTUALLY INJURED and bleeding.

Silver: I think I can help *pokes her with a stick*

Silver: *grabs a bat* WOOPS!! How'd that get into my hands?

Sally: *glares at Silver* TRY to hit me with that thing. I DARE you!

Fireball: Ugh no! *drags Sally several feet from Silver*

Silver: I didn't even mean to grab that! *looks at IceWind* ICEWIND!
IceWind: What? Now I have TWO people to fool with!

Wanderist: Oh? Who else did you have to fool with?

Sally: DANG IT, FIREBALL!! LET ME GO!! LET ME KILL THE FREAKING IDIOT!!

Fireball: (as Sally goes on ranting) Settle down, then I might let you go!

IceWind: Oh you know *throws hand* my original "play" mate...

Rookie: Hi!

IceWind: ROOKIE!
Rookie: H...hello there

Wanderist: Oh hi Rook!! Where you been?

Rookie: Oh, no where...*gives her a rose*
Silver: *to Rookie & Wanderist* Love birds....*and makes funny faces to Sally*

Wanderist: *takes rose* Uh... thanks.

Sally: *growls and struggles to get out of Fireball's grip*

Silver: *rofl*

Sally: DANG IT, SILVER, SHUT THE HECK UP!!! FIREBALL, LET ME GO!!

Fireball: Heck no! I'm too tired to deal with you fighting!

Silver: *gets up* True....*sits down*

Wanderist: *sighs* There, he stopped. Can you behave now?

Sally: *sighs* Fine... just let me go, Fireball!

Fireball: No tricks, you hear me? *lets go*

Sally: Thank you. *walks several feet from everyone else and sits down*

Silver: *looks at her and waves hand with a smile*

Sally: *lets out a low growl and looks away*

Silver: Just trying to be NICE for once

Fireball: Well, she's ticked. What do you expect?

Silver: I expect her to walk off like how she always does...*whispers to Fireball* It's Freezer, isn't it?

Wanderist: Lol

Fireball: *whispers* This time, I don't know.

Silver: Oh....*whispers to Fireball & Wanderist* You guys can keep a secret right?

Wanderist: *whispering back* Of course. Why?

Silver: Uh...ne...never mind...

Wanderist: Um... okay then. *looks over at Sally* I'm going to go talk to her... there has to be a reason for this...

Fireball: Heh... good luck.

Wanderist: Thanks. *walks over to Sally* Um...Sally?

Sally: What?

Wanderist: *sighs* Alright, Sally, this is how it's going to go. I'm going to ask you this, and you're going to answer. Got it?

Sally: Jeez, that's a new one.

Wanderist: Picked it up from Wander. Anyway, what's bothering you?

Silver: Hm...

Sally: Nothing.

Wanderist: ANSWER.

Sally: Nothing that I want to talk about, okay?! *turns toward a path and walks off*

Fireball: Where the heck are you going?!

Sally: To get a drink. Later. *Walks off*

Silver: *looks back*

Fireball: *sighs* Well, that little interrogation got us nowhere.

Wanderist: No, it didn't get us anywhere at all.

Fireball: *glances back at Silver* You okay? You don't seem to be in a much better mood then Sally right now.
