i just realized this topic has one more page than the old topic!

i saw a DIF post with the new upgrades of all the 1.0 characters and most have special unlocks.

Everyone can unlock Increased Damage, Health Boost, Increased Ranged Attack, Repel, Revive, Mid Air Recovery, Increase Run Speed & Power DIsc Recharge Speed.

Then Certain Characters have special ones like:

Super Jump:
Phineas, Syndrome, Sully, Mr. Incredible, Ms. Incredible, Mickey, Randall, Mike, Buzz & Ralph.

Strength: (Pick up larger objects)
Ralph.

Healing Aura: (Heals yourself and team mates)
Rapunzel, Tonto.

Spider Sense:.
Mr. Incredible, Violet, Dash, Ms. Incredible, Agent P, Syndrome, Randall, Jack Skellington & Jack Sparrow

Shield: (Shield that need to be depleted before health goes down)
Agent P, Syndrome, Buzz, Violet & Vanellope.

Health Regen: (Health Regenerates)
Davy Jones, Elsa & Mickey.

Counter Attack:
Barbossa, Anna & Jack Skellington.

Ricochet Ranged attacks: (While blocking ricochet certain ranged attacks)
Barbossa, Anna, Mr. Incredible & Lone Ranger.

Increased Fire Rate: (with equipped weapon or tool)
Barbossa, Jack Sparrow, Lone Ranger & Phineas.

-Woody and Jessie have no special extras.

-Jack Sparrow and Barbossa have a 3 String combo while Davy has a 5 string combo. (Don't remember if that was always the case)

-Definitely no 1.0 Flying characters

I only got the Starter Pack. However, I found some news on characters/Play Sets (including Captain America and GotG):

You can get all the toys (e.g. The Mining Craft from GotG) without buying the figures/sets IRL. You can buy them from the "Toy Store" with Blue Sparks. For example, I could buy Captain America Costume (NPC) by going to "Toy Store>Characters>The Avengers - Page (X)", and the Mining Cart from "Toy
Store>Toys>Guardians of the Galaxy - Page (X)".

If I played the game enough, I could get all the toys from GotG without buying the Play Set pack. The only things the figures do is instantly unlock all their toys and have different gameplay, and the Play Sets do the same. I've only got the Starter, but the 1.0 figures/Play Sets are very similar to the 2.0 ones.

From what I've played, Iron Man, Black Widow, and Thor are very similar in gameplay. Unlike most Skylanders, they all have a close-ranged and long-ranged attack. I haven't upgraded them yet, though.

It's good news for people who don't want to get many figures/Play Sets, but I think it makes the figures/Play Sets have less value than 1.0, which might annoy the people who want to get everything.

The INterior

I just visited "The INterior" for the first time.

You can't access any doors (and the HoH) the first time you enter the Toy Box. Firstly, you have to do some missions for Clockworth (I think that's his name) in The INterior before you can access them. Eventually, once you've done enough missions, you can access the HoH and HoSH (Hall of Super Heroes). You can also get (Block-Head) visitors in your INterior, including Scrooge McDuck, Sleeping Beauty, and Carl Fredrickson. In addition to this, they can also give you items for the Toy Box if you complete their missions (e.g. Scrooge gave me the Money Bin after completing a mission), but most items they give you are for your INterior.

The INterior is basically your own house, and you can add your own rooms/furniture. I also noticed some of the "Logic" Toys (e.g. Counter) are available in The INterior. I don't know what they do yet, though.

"Survival Challenges"

I also noticed a "Survival Challenge" Door when looking at the doors in the Toy Box. I haven't used it yet, though.

Since I'm sadly getting 2.0 next Friday instead of on Tuesday like I was hoping, I have been planning out how I am going to attack this whole Launch day situation. I'm getting 50 dollars from my older sister on friday and 10 that my mom has owed me today. I'll use the 60 combined on Friday to get the Spider Man Play Set and Iron Fist. By the end of next week my mom is either giving me the 75 in cash, or maybe I can convince her to preorder it online today.. If I can't, I'll use the 60 on Friday no matter what and get the starter whenever I get the 75.

Amazon has a pre-order bonus for - The Starter Pack, Spider-Man Play Set, Captain America, Venom, Rocket Raccoon, and a Disc Pack for like $120. $60+$75 = $135. That would leave you enough left over for Iron Fist. Also there was a buncle for Starter Pack, Spider-Man Play Set, Captain America, and a Disc Pack for like $100. Might be worth grabbing that if you can get her to get in online. Save some money and you can pay her back the difference, or grab the additional figure(s).

I've played a bit through all three playsets and they are no-where near as bad as the reviews are making them out to be, especially considering they are pretty much $30 games, less if figure cost is taken out of the price.

haven't really done much in toy box, i don't really enjoy the sandbox building type mine crafty things, but there seems to be a bit more structure and goals etc so i might enjoy it more, i'll give it a go when i'm done with the playsets.

The figures look fantastic, i think i'll be makeing some space for them to sit with my Pop! Vinyls.

It is between Guardians and Spiderman. For me its detracting from the Avengers one because i don't have the hulk.
Venom is defiantly my fav figure, so that is making the spiderman one nice to play.
Guardians has been good too, Disney's marketing has really worked on me lol, it was the last movie i saw, so its still fresh in my head, so that makes the playset fun too.

I'm going to say my fav is Spiderman so far. it might change as the stories progress a little bit, if they do progress in their reviewed shortness.

The Toy Store

You unlock the Toys similarly to how you unlock Skills in the Skill Tree. You often have to buy certain items before you can buy another item. For example, I couldn't buy the Small Suburb Roof before buying the Small Suburb House.

And there are A LOT of "Costume" NPCs. I found Eey-Orh (I think that's his name, he's from Winnie the Pooh) in there, and there was a lot more too.

Combat Difficulties

In the options, you can change the difficulty from "Easy" to "Extreme". There are four difficulty levels.

Skill Trees

I'm going to see what the Skill Trees for 1.0 characters are like soon. I'm going to see what Randall Bogg's Skill Tree is like first, but I can see what other characters' Skill Trees are like. Ask me which character's Skill Tree you want to know, and I'll look at their Skill Tree too. However, I only have the figures from The Incredibles, Monsters University, Pirates of the Carribean, and Toy Story. I also have Crystal Lone Ranger, too.

They must be REALLY hiding them well....I'm secretly hoping for Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable as they seem like good characters to have. You can't pull the "its a current fad, that's the only reason why" because of Stitch, Alladin, Jasmine, Merida, and maybe even Tinker Bell.

Anywho, Kim seems like a powerful female character that John V might like. She and Ron could even be copies of Black Widow if they were lazy enough....

Seiki's right Stealth, I wouldn't hope on the two of them being in a Play Set...

But a thought occured to me the other day....

What would be the costume discs for other characters? If there were anymore?

Maleficent- Obviously her original look: maybe her feather wings now, would be more like dragon wings
Stitch- His 626 costume?
Tinker Bell- This one is interesting, I think i'd be cool if it were 6 other costume discs for her. 1 for each other fairy and her sister (Merriwether I think?)
Hiro- I cant think of anything
Baymax- People keep wanting a white Baymax, but it wouldnt work at all because the red has the rockets and flight. White Baymax cant do anything really...
Jasmine- Can't think of any either
Merida- Nothing

Elsa- Maybe her queen get up?
Anna- Maybe her princess get up?

Ill continue later, but anyone have any thoughts?

I'm glad I got the deal I did online. I am saving well over $30 bucks for what I ordered. I'm basically getting the playset in the bundle for free. However I kinda wish I hadnt gotten it just so I could be at the midnight release at my TRU. I always have fun at things like that because you know that a lot of people that are going to be there are diehard fans. Nor so I feel 2.0 suffers from the same scalper issues that Skylanders has suffered from as much. Oh well. I might swing by Target tomorrow and pick up the GotG playset for the two power disc bonus.

I know I've ordered games before that mailed out early because based on shipping I wouldnt have gotten it until the street date anyways. I'm kinda disappointed I'm likely not going to get it until the end of the week at best.

Well since it's officially out everywhere now (WOOOOO!)

I'd like to re-post my questions and if anyone with the game could please answer any, or all, that'd make you an awesome person in my eyes...

1. Do the Incredibles's "super" abilities have to be unlocked from the skill tree or do you have access to them from the spot?
2. Is Dash easier to control while running super fast?
3. Is Ms. Incredible's reach longer or the same length as before? (Same question for Anna)
4. How long does it take the builders to actually build something?
5. How exactly do the brushes work? (Is it like flying around in Spark Mode)
6. How are The Lone Ranger and Tonto different from one another?
7. Can you tell us (or take a picture) of the abilities that have the yellow thingies around them? (I think they're called like corals or something....The yellow outlined skill tree parts.)
8. How do interiors work (nothing specific just the general idea i.e. how does Iron Man unlock the Iron Man and War Machine displays?)
9. If they are supposedly no longer supported, do you not get the goo grower or shrinker items when you place down the Toy Story in Space Play Set piece?
10. Is there a limit to how big your INterior can be?
11. I'd just like to know if you have them, what you think of the following characters... (i.e. do you like their moves, or what they can do?)
-Iron Fist
-Nova
-Spider Man
-Venom
-Nick Fury
-Hawkeye
-Captain America
12. How many brushes are there?
13. How many builders are there?

I can say that nick fury, in a sense, is a upgraded Lone Ranger. He has good melee moves, and can double wield his pistols and fire very fast.
