"Terrence visited? That would be great. If only you could see his kid. Or maybe Saris? How about Ravage? He turned out nice after all." Sybil said, trying to guess who could have visited, misunderstanding that it was a nice one.

"Yes, well, we had a very hard time with mongoose's here. Always devouring our eggs and in worse-case scenarios, us. Well, at least that was I have been told since I wasn't even born yet, but your kind was quite the enemy. You didn't give a good impression either since after you stole from Sholeh, we though you were the low of the low if you were capable of stealing from your own species." Ruby explained, admitting that she had been one of them.
"But all is fine now. Most of the Haven residents here don't have a pretty past. Rose also lost her mother at an early age. And I don't think Mr. Sayan even knew his parents." Ruby said, though that last part was just speculation since nobody knew that detail about Sayan.
"But it's all about the present now. We've had our hard times right here at the Haven, but everything is going right at last. So don't you worry about a thing." Ruby said with confidence, trusting that the Haven could finally be the peaceful sanctuary it was meant to be.

Terrence nodded "yea I get that. thought to be fair back then I had no idea i was stealing from my own kind. but ether way things worked out. but still to this day I feel like i have some sort of repressed memory of some kind regarding my mothers death. i know it's in the past and all but it still bothers me. but your right everything's going right i should enjoy it."

Crocux shook his head "nope none of them. it was Yodel. I wasn't here for his visit but i can smell the fact he was here. and when I got back Jack tried to feed me some bull crap story that you didn't want me as co-administrator anymore. the only reason would have to be that those two made a bet of some sort involving me."

"Yes, we know now you didn't know." Ruby said, referring to his thievery at Sholeh's home.
"And I think that if it wasn't for that, Sholeh wouldn't have rejected you so hardly. Who knows? Maybe you can try again if you want to. Sholeh is trying to be more gentle. Many warblers don't want to admit it, but she is trying to redeem herself. Of course it's hard for her, but the struggle is there." Ruby then said, having watched Sholeh from a distance and having seen with her own eyes that she is trying to change for the better.

"A bet!?! Jack gambled!?! With YODEL!?!" Sybil said furiously, looking around the cave to see if the chimp was there.
"Gambling here is absolutely forbidden! The last time someone did, it caused us an ocean of trouble!" Sybil commented, practically screaming, as if somebody poured a bucket of hot water on her. She has even forgotten about the co-administrator part, since the bet detail has taken over her.

"Come on let's get clean." Rose said.

Sayan nodded, soon entering the refreshing water. "Come on in.," he invited shaking off the mud.

Sholeh was near the washing Rose and Sayan, taking a little stroll. Se hated rain and getting her paws muddy, but she adored the scent of wet grass, which was a priceless experience for her. She did see Rose and Sayan, but she ignored them, still not willing to befriend anyone.

But with her gone, Yodel was making his nasty move. After thinking of a plan, he had watched AJ's tree in order to spy on the activities. With Sholeh's stroll, and AJ living his secret double life in the outback, he left something at Sholeh's spot, hoping that would do the trick. Since he didn't trust his luck, he left just as soon as he left the special present, believing that with the stream of bad luck he was having lately, either AJ or Sholeh were going to arrive soon, so he left the place before he could get spotted. What did he left at Sholeh's room? She was going to find out soon...

Crocux says "woah their aunty easy their. I know Jack and he wouldn't gamble unless it was something small and harmless. not to mention he stinks at gambling but when he does he makes sure that the odds are in his favor. knowing Yodel he was probably trying to use Jack to cause trouble. I know that chimp well and he's bond to always have a failsafe plane just incase things got out of hand. and besides last time I saw him he left with a look of pure shock on his face."

Terrence stifuled a laugh "I'm sorry but me and Sholeh, not happening. for starters when she rejected me she said she couldn't give others a second chance. and knowing her that isn't going to change. but it's okay. I have no intrest in her anymore."

Jack continued to walk with the shocked look on his face completely baffuled by Crocux's behavior.

Sybil took the time to calm down, and felt really proud on how incredibly calm Crocux was about Yodel trying to meddle into his life's and his family's.
"Alright. I should have known Yodel would make a daring move like this sooner or later. He didn't like when you scolded him, you know?" Sybil said, having noticed Yodel's expression back then.
"But if nothing comes out of that gamble, then all will be fine. Yodel is still the jerk he's always been, but ever since his thievery, no warbler will trust him, so he won't be able to make a case without support." Sybil said with a calm voice, believing Yodel couldn't do any harm. She was however, disappointed that the warbler has been unable to change for the best like Sholeh. And unlike Jack, Sybil didn't seemed surprised about Crocux's behavior, and took it as him being mature at last.

"Well, whatever. Maybe you can just be an eternal single like me. The rest of the mongooses on the island live far beyond the outback, so you and Sholeh are the only ones in this forest." Ruby explained, never having imagined she would enjoy a conversation with a mongoose.

Terrence chuckled "maybe your right. well I don't mind. you know life can be pretty strange."

Crocux nodded "yea, that old feather bag may just be one of those that never learn."

Ruby nodded, knowing he was right. She saw outside and saw that it was still raining, so she remained there.
"It's still raining. I did miss it, but I don't like when it takes too long to stop. At least the thunder stopped." she said as a changed subject, noticing there wasn't any more rumble.

"I know. Shame really." Sybil said with a bit of sadness, very sorry for Yodel.
"Well, like I said, he can't do much harm no more. Anyway, do you mind if I stay here a while? It's still raining and Jaerl is home sleeping. I don't want to wake him up. Plus, I think I overdid it with the berries." she said, realizing she exaggerated the amount to have and could barely walk with that belly.

Terrence nodded "yea, but their's nothing you can do about the weather. if you want you can stay the night, after if it wasn't for you i don't think little Angel would've gotten this far in life. after all i'm no expert on raising warblers. so if you want to stay the night feel free heck if you wanna move in feel free. i don't mind. and i'm sure little angel doesn't mind ether. insn't that right little guy?" Angel cooed happly in what seemed to be agreement and looked at Ruby with those baby doll eyes as if trying to get her to agree to move in.

Crocux chuckled "don't wor- AHCHOO!- worry abo- AHCHOO! about it. you c- AHCHOO! can stay as long as you want, yo- AHCHOO!! you are fam- AHCHOOO! family, my home is yours." *sniff* Crocux started feeling sick, sneezing on accasion and developing a feaver.

"Heh, don't worry. I was planning on staying anyway. It's starting to get windy and I don't want the rain water getting here and getting him wet." Ruby said, as she comforted Angel. She found it hard to admit, but she was very grateful of Terrence for giving her the taste of motherhood, since she doubted she was going to have fledglings of her own in that rate.

Sybil got out of the way to avoid his sneezing, and was starting to get angry again.
"You went outside with this rain!?" she said, scolding him. She didn't know crocodiles could even get a cold, but she imagined that rain water was very different from lake and ocean water.
"Ugh, if you got a cold, it means you were getting wet with the rain for too long. Visiting Marina? Or never mind! I don't want to hear the details!" Sybil said furiously, hating to see one of her friends sick.

Crocux says "no looking fo- AHCHOO! for Jhen." *sniff*

Terrence nodded "well stay as long as you want." Angel then said "mama" looking right at Ruby

"I thought you were over that!?" Sybil said, still angry that he made such a silly move.
"Well never mind. No fish or meat for you in a long while!" Sybil said, as she started to make a small list of the things she was going to need to cure him...

Ruby looked, but it was impossible for her to pinpoint who Angel told that to. She remained still and quiet, smiling at the talking Angel...

Terrence smiled as Angel said looking right at Ruby "mama" and tried to snuggle up to her.

Crocux says "i know what he's going through. *sniff* and I was worried that we would loose him if we left him alone. I don't want to lose another friend when I know I could've done something."

"Well Crocux, if there's something I learned, is that you don't meddle in orca business. They are a proud bunch. If there is a problem with one of their own, they solve it between them. They don't like to get other species involved. They are learning to accept suggestion, but the problem solving is them alone." Sybil commented, having knowing the orcas for too many years now. They were friends of the Haven residents, but their pride was something not going away any time soon.
"Well anyway, I suppose you've learned that by now. Jack, can you do a fire? I need to gather these in order to make a cure for Crocux's cold." Sybil said as she left the cave.

Ruby almost squealed with exitement. She didn't want Terrence to see her like that, so she hold on, Thornton taking Angel off her view.

Sayan smirked and splashed Rose back.

Terrence saw her excitment and smiled "well then, it seems even the calm and reserved Ruby can get exited too."

Crocux nodded sadly "i know, trust me i was just like that. but dad wouldn't have any of that. Jhen's still blaming himself for hurting me. I don't wanna lose another friend. AHCHOO! oh and yes Jack knows how to make a fire. but we have to find him first."

Sayan laughed before tackling Rose back-- and making a good splash in the process.

Some orca or orcas knew more about Jhen than they were saying. Perhaps with this info and the reunion of father and son, everything would return to normal. Jhen felt so alone, even though he had the pod, but that could be the fact is that what he needed was a hug or two from friends and famiy.

Syris, was not worried about the rain as he was from a tropical island and rain was a normal everyday occurance there. Even as he got wet, it seemed not to phase him, still to keep from getting sick he had retreated in his and big brother's home. He snuggles up against Saris, and curls up, resting with him.

Saris smiled at his brother then frowns. this little place was only temporary until he found a better place to live. he decided to talk to Crocux if it would be okay to move in later. but for now to wait out the rain.

Ruby simply looked away, still wanting to contain her excitement.
"Well, I can't lose my mojo." she said, getting use to be seen as a tough female among her fellow warblers.

"Jack is not here? I thought he was somewhere in the cave." Sybil said as she looked at the entrance.
"Oh well, I need to make that medicine for you anyway. I won't take long, I promise. If Jack shows up, tell him to build you a fire. I'll be right back." Sybil said, leaving the home once more. Luckily, it was only four ingredients she needed.
It was lucky that she spent her hiding days learning medicine from Whirlpool. She needed berries, tree sap, mint leaves and honey, and fortunately they were all in the Haven. She had no problem collecting the first three, but getting the honey was really hard. She had to put some sticky sap and mud to avoid the stings, and she really hated to do that...

From a little brach in the corner of a tree, Yodel snickered, since he was watching the couple's infantile play. After his work in Sholeh's home, he got bored, so he watched Rose and Sayan making fool of themselves, or at least he thought their game was foolish...

"He's somewhere around the current's border. Some of the pod members are watching over him." Cairo answered, the whole situation making him stressful.

Meanwhile, Sholeh returned home... and at the corner of her spot, there was a spider nest with eggs. But the way it was arranged... it looked an awful lot like a warbler's nest, with hundreds of eggs. Now of course, warbler and spider eggs were completely different, but that arrangement reminded Sholeh a lot about her days feasting on the eggs she once was so obsessed about.
"Seriously!? A spider nest? It waited for me to leave?" Sholeh said, not noticing that there was nothing natural about that. In her last life, she would have destroyed the spider nest with eggs and all, but all she did was grab the sack with the eggs and put it somewhere else on the tree. They were not the eggs of a venomous spider, so that was lucky.

"Love you too.," Sayan said tenderly kissing Rose.

When Yodel saw the two of them cuddling, he was disgusted.
"Ugh. I'm out of here!" he whispered, flying away from his hiding spot in order to head home.

"You can go find him if you want to Jet. I'm busy watching for sharks." Cairo said, doubting he was going to encounter Jhen during his watch.

"Of course. I told you. He's near the border of the current where Crocux's dolphin friend lives. Or at least that's where I last saw him." Cairo responded, keeping to himself that he was angry at Jhen for not being able to let go of his mistake.

Rose smiled. "This was fun today." Rose said getting Sayan off her. She then shaked the Warter off her.

"It most certainly was.,"Sayan said with a smile. Even with the rain-- they found a way to make it their own and with Sybil.

And speaking of the civet, Sybil went to the beehive near the swamp, the only one she knew was still there. It took almost half an hour to get some honey, but she made it with just a few stings. She put the honey and the rest of the ingredients in an empty coconut half and using the other half, she started to mix it. She stopped at her creek to have another thorough bath and headed to Crocux's home.
"He better drink this." she said to herself, ready to force him if she had to. The concoction was delicious for her, but she imagined that with Crocux being an exclusive carnivore, it wasn't going to taste the same to him.

Crocux nodded "okay aunty."

Terrence chuckled "and you think helping little old me raise a baby warbler is going to help that mojo?"

Almost an hour later, Sybil returned with the remedy.
"Here I am Crocux. See. Didn't took that long." Sybil said, covering her stings with her own fur.
"Hmm, Jack must be distracted if he hasn't come back. Anyway, let's get this over with. This is a great recipe Whirlpool taught me once. If it works as well as it did me, you'll be right as rain tomorrow morning. Now then, open wide..." Sybil ordered, wondering if she could pour it all in one go just in case he didn't like it...

Ruby didn't responded for a while, and then had her answer.
"Well, it's not like raising Angel is my responsibility alone. You're the one that found him. Besides, if this keeps up, he is going to be as tough as me. I mean, he wasn't even scared by the thunderstorm. That is super rare in a warbler fledgling." Ruby explained, feeling proud of her influence.

Terrence nodded "yea, he even seemed curious about it. but hey whatever the case it could be my influence too. fending for myself for as long as i could remember can really toughen a guy up."

Crocux sneezed then opened wide saying "ahhhhhhh"

"I hope you do. It's probably a waste of time to toughen up someone here, in a place so peaceful as the Haven, bit you never know when you encounter a bully. Of course, we need to teach him to be smart too just in case he ever find a Yodel-like. You know how manipulative that warbler is." Ruby said, knowing how Yodel had a way with words.

"Alright Crocux, I'm not sure if you're going to like this, so I'll pour it in one go." Sbil warned, throwing the liquid into his mouth and the closing the jaws herself just in case he spat it out. It far easier to close a crocodile's jaws than opening them, and afterwards, she sat on his snouth to avoid him from spitting the medicine.

Sayan nodded-- shaking off the water and heading back towards the den.

Crocux hated the tast and almost spat it out. but since Sybil kept his mouth closed he had no choice but to swallow.

Terrence nodded "aye. not to long ago he was trying to trick the tramatized kea into fearing Crocux. I was so mad i wanted to rip Yodel's feathers off until he couldn't fly anyomre then break his wings for good measure. well wanted to that is, but i didn't.

Sybil made sure he gulped down every last bit, and when it seemed that his mouth was empty, she lets go, proud of having the correct instinct of keeping his mouth closed.
"Well, that wasn't so bad, was it? It took me quite a lot of work to prepare that thing, so I wasn't going to let you spit out an inch." Sybil said sternly, still feeling some of the bee stings.
"I wonder where is that dum dum chimp! He was suppose to create a fire! Oh well, at least it's not that cold." Sybil said, feeling the temperature. Since the Haven was hot the other day, the rain evaporated on the ground, making the temperature all around, even in Crocux's cave, quite warm.
"Anyway Crocux, the worse is over. I can stay here with you if you want until Jack arrives. Or if you can manage on your own, I can get you a fish from my creek to wash out the taste." Sybil asked, being OK with any option.

"I know. Everyone knows that story by now." Ruby explained, everybody aware of Yodel's dirty tricks.
"But he was born and raised here, and that's something we warblers respect, even if the warbler in question is such a tricky jerk. Sybil knows that, which is why we have all allowed Yodel to live here." Ruby said, explaining why they had allowed the troublemaking warbler to remain at the Haven despite his antagonistic ways.

Terrence says "really and his own kind wont banish him even though they all were born here too?"

Crocux says "I think I'll come with you to your creek. I haven't eaten all day"

"We have been close. But we have decided to let him live here. We are afraid that if we banish him, he will return with a nasty trick up his wing to take revenge." Ruby said, having learned like many warblers not to underestimate Yodel's diplomatic intelligence.

"You think you can go?" Sybil said, as she looked outside. It has stopped raining, but it was getting foggy.
"Sure you don't need to rest?" she asked, knowing that she couldn't stop him if Crocux decided to follow her.

Crocux says "well if I need to rest just say so. AHCHOO! on second thought, i think i'll rest"

Terrence nodded "aye that could be a problem."
