I just wanna repost the info from an earlier page....that on the original packaging and game card, it does not specify the prize of a flocked stump smash...it simply states "limited edition character". Someone posted a copy of the rules for the contest, perhaps obtained online (and also up-to-date). Those rules are the only place I have ever witnessed that we are winning a flocked stump smash from the 800#. Also, when I spoke directly with frito lay, I was told that they did not know what the limited edition character was going to be, and that's why it wasn't specifically stated as a flocked stump smash. I hope this helps for those of you that don't feel like playing catch up through 500 posts (I don't blame you!).

I personally think that this confusion has come from them putting together the promotion without a 100% commitment on what the prize would be. I felt exactly this way 2 weeks ago, when I started this thread....with the very same questions coming up from everyone else now. Good luck guys, and keep sharing...we love to win, and appreciate those of you who care enough to share your positive info with the rest of us. We have depended on each other over the past few weeks, and for those of us who have remained intrigued, today was a big win!!

I am sure it will be, I just know people are feeling totally let down when they don't actually hear those words...that they won a flocked stump smash! ....especially when someone previously posted on here that the winning message DOES say you win that as a prize. It didn't say that for me, ever...or anyone else for that matter. That one person must be extra special....or is just trying to make us drive ourselves insane over this, like we don't do that already!! Lol!!

Thanks! And, yeah, this the Instant Win Gameline has been driving me nuts for the past couple of days. I've forgotten to call a couple of days and wondered if I've missed out on my winning chance. Thank goodness it doesn't seem like that was the case.

I just called and won yet another random but lost on the 800 number, but then I had my girlfriend try the 800 and she won, not risking it and trying the 866 number on her phone since one of the rules is you're only allowed one play of any method per day. Anyone get theirs in the mail yet btw?

Weird how everyones winning the 800 number now.

maybe they needed to start giving away some because they have to many still or because everyone wasted there codes the first week from server errors

Nope, its flocked. There's a post earlier where you can see the image of the figure on the bag; flocked is basically that velvet like stuff on jewlery boxes.


Also, to Postalgoddess: The bags show Flocked Stumpy (I don't know if it says flocked stump smash, but it definitely has a pic), the phone line mentions it as the prize and the official site mentions it in the rules. So the limited edition figure is definitely flocked stumpy.

My friend at work had the same result.
My wife and son, however, won on the 800 but not the 866.

Another reason they might be giving them away so freely is the giveaway/contest hasn't been widely spread. I frequent the Skylanders Facebook page & it's never been mentioned on there at all. I heard about the contest when I happened upon this forum.

Agreed. I work with a bunch of guys who pursue Skylanders for their kids, and none of them were aware until I told them this morning. I found out on this forum, as well.

The advertisement for this whole thing certainly hasn't been optimal. I am pretty sure it'd be much different if more people knew.

This contest got no publicity whatsoever. If you don't happen to see a skylander logo on the twenty pack bags of frito lay chips or read this forum you don't know about it. It's not even involving the mainstream bags of frito lay which was a mistake PR wise. There are over 18,000 figures to give away in the course of about thirty days. This is one figure every two or three minutes. Even those that know about the bag and contests may not know about the free phone numbers unless they atre die hard skylander fans like us. The lack of ebay attention on the flock smashes leads me to beieve that the majority of scalpers are not participating actively. This means only the die hard fans with knowledge are calling and thus winning at one free skylander every few minutes is really really really good odds.

I called the 800 this morning and won. Didn't bother trying with the 866. I've done that one a handful of times and won already.

Called Both Numbers and won on both. Nothing on the recording said anything about what kind of skylander other than "congratulations, you have won a free skylanders character"... I left my info soooo, we'll see....in 6 - 8 weeks.

Wonder how everyone is winning now? They only have 7,334 flocked stumps according to the message on option 4. I wanna call back and hit zero and ask them how this works. It never asks for an email or phone number to give u a confirmation that you won?!

Compiled the images we have together. I don't know about the Gold and Silver ones and if they're painted all the way down to the base, but from the looks of the pictures, Flocked Stumpy is COMPLETELY covered. Although, it should work fine being that the chip is in the center of the bottom.

I hope this paves the way for Skylanders plushies. Hnnggghhh

I won the 800# again. It is somewhat suspicious, but I wonder if frito-lay would spend the time and money verifying each call. They may just look into the obvious ones. Anyway, for the last 2 wins, I will not call the other 866# or from another phone - just in case.
