OOoooookay..... I really gotta stop getting so far off track... First bit in a long time, eh?
Anyways, here's more.
And I'm nixing the convo between Terra and the reader for a bit, kay? Welllll... it'll still be there, but in a different way.
We sat some distance away from the dead... things. I remembered the hounds and the Hunters that had hunted me before, the first time I escaped, and wondered if they'd somehow found a way to link the pair's minds all the way, along with the bodies. I wondered if that was even possible. Then again, look at us; genetic freaks, and kickin' @$$. Hm. Maybe it WAS possible.
"So... Now what do we do? It seems we can't go more than three hours and we're attacked by some other random mutant freak." I said, sighing. Then I blinked. "Hey, where's Lina?" I asked, and everyone else jerked to atention, whirling around. I stood up, looking for her, and finding nothing. "LINA!!!" I shouted, and got nothing. I was starting to inwardly panic. Lina was missing, and who knew what had happened-
"Gotcha!" Lina shouted, and appeared right in front of me. I yelped, and fell backwards, onto my butt.
"Lina!" Koto cried, and tackled her, out of nowhere. Rima blinked, turning, and stared. I looked over at her as the two little kids tumbled around, play wrestling or something similar. Koto's wings flapped occasionally, lifting both of them up; strong little kid.
"..." Rima was standing there in a stunned silence, and then she looked hurt. She turned away, staring at the ground, and I tried to think of some way to ask what was wrong. I must have had a thought leak or something, because she snapped her head around and glared at me with a 'None of your business, (bleep)!!' look, and I started, then held my hands up defensively. She looked away, and I sweat dropped.
Shaun came over and sat next to me. "Touchy touchy touchy!" He muttered to me, giving that melting half smile. I blushed a hot red, I could tell, because the grin widened a little. He has not, to this day, told me just how much I blush, and probably never will, the b@st@rd. (I love him though, for all his irritatingness. ... And he's asking if that's even a word, right now.)
(More later, I'm actually a tad stuck on what to say next.
My stories are taking backseat to the rest of my life for a bit, and I'll be in Ohio for the next coupla days, so you won't hear much from me.
)
