Glacier: *smiles and sighs* you know, Rouge, you remind of Slean when i first met her. *he seemed to stare off into space at that point, smiling*
Rouge: Dad! oh, Dad! Earth to Dad! anybody home? *giggles*

Tundra: Dad I know you still love her, but come back to us will ya? *chuckles alongside rouge.*

Glacier: *shakes his head. looks at them* er....... what?
Rouge: you were off in la-la land. *giggles* thinking about Mom again? *smiles*
Glacier: hehe, well, how could i not?

Tundra: Yeah yeah dad. hehe So what now?

Rouge: *shruggs* i dunno. kinda bored now.
Glacier: itching to play a prank?
Rouge: *jumps up excitedly* that sounds like fun!
Glacier: *smiles* well, there are plenty of dragons you can play tricks on in the ice kingdom. intrested?

Tundra: *raises an eyebrow at his dad* Ok? Guess sounds like fun.

Rouge: *nods* yeah, that sounds great! lets go!
Glacier: *chuckles lightly* you're rather impatient.
*Polaris flys to them, and lands beside them* hello all. *smiles*
Glacer: *looks at her* ah, Polaris. what brings you here?
Polaris: simply visiting, sir.
Glacier: who is in charge?
Polaris: don't worry, your majesty, i left the army general in charge for the time being.

Tundra: Hi polaris *smiles at her*

Polaris: *looks at him* hello Tundra. *smiles* how are you, young prince?
Rouge: wern't we going to play pranks on someone?
Glacier: er, yes, i believe so, but that can wait a moment.

Tundra: Im doing fine polaris how are you? *he says to her as he looks at glacier then at rouge.*

Polaris: i am quite all right. *looks at Rouge* ah, you must be King Glacier's daughter.
Rouge: uh, yeah, i'm Rouge.
Glacier: yes, the spitting image of her mother. she's a lot like her.
Polaris: i bet. how nice to finally meet you, Rouge. *smiles, but seems to have a suspicious look in her eye*

Tundra: *looks at polaris and gives her a smile trying to tell her to not worry, as he walks up to her and puts a paw on her paw.* dont worry polaris.

Polaris: *looks at him, whispers* i am not worry. *slightly turns her head to look at Rouge, still a little suspicious*
Glacier: *looks at her* you have nothing to worry about, Polaris. i assure you.
Rouge: *blinks her eyes* 'why is she looking at me like that...?' *thinks*

Tundra: "I still sense doubt tho" *tundra whispered back to her.

Polaris: *sighs and looks at him, whispers* i'm afraid you are not wrong, young prince. truthfully, i am a tad cautious of Rouge, what with her being raised by Slean.
Glacier: yes, but Rouge is--
Polaris: *looks at him* Rouge is like her mother, a younger version of her, but she is her mother all the same. Slean was just like Rouge in her younger years, and there is no doubt in my mind that Rouge will be..... diffrent.... once she ages..
Rouge: well, thanks for the support...

OOC: I have to go....

Tundra: *whispers to rouge* Just give polaris some time to get to know you rouge, dont let this bug you.

ooc: bye...

Rouge: *sighs, whispers* oh, its nothing...... kinda used to the looks by now....... i know i get them....... 'oh, no, its the queen's daughter! she'll be evil someday, jsut like her mother! avoid her at all costs! do not trust her!'........ seriously, though, i'm sick of everying judging me, just because of mom...... nobody really knows me, but they think i'm just like her......
Polaris: *stares at Rouge with a suspicious look*
Glacier: *whispers to Polaris* stop it! you're upsetting her!
Polaris: *whispers back* upsetting her? what about me? do you think i want to be in the presence of a future evil?
Glacier: *whispers* that is enough, Polaris! she is my daughter, and you will not speak of her like that!

Tundra: Well be thankful i dont give you those looks... *he said to her laughing abit*

*He then looks at polaris and glacier as they look like they are fighting.*

Rouge: *sighs* well, yeah, you're family. i don't get those looks from family...
Polaris: *whispers to Glacer* why not?! its the truth, isn't it? she is Slean's daughter, which means she has a dark side...
Glacier: *whispers* Tundra is hers as well, do you think he has a dark side? hmm?
Polaris: well, no, he was raised by you, his dark side is surpressed, even if it does exist. but Rouge is being raised by evil, so it is only natural for one to think she will become evil.
Glacier: *growls slightly* now, you listen here, Polaris! no child of mine will be accused of being evil! i will not stand for any injustice towards one of my flesh and blood! Rouge is my daughter, and will be treated as such! you will treat her with respect, as the royalty she truly is! do you understand?!
Polaris: *bows head in defeat. mutters* yes, sir.....

Tundra: dont let it bug you rouge. She has to get to know you more is all. Im here so she wont hurt you or anything, not unless i allow it.

*looks at glacier* Dad... calm down ok, polaris do you care for me? *he asked her*

Rouge: its not getting hurt that i'm worried about...
Glacier: *takes a deep breath* i apoligize..... i can overreact sometimes....
Polaris: that is quite all right, sir....... in fact, i should apoligize....... i jumped to conclusions without thinking..... *looks at Tundra* i do care for you, young prince..... *looks at Rouge* and i am sorry to pass judgement without truly knowing what you are like.....

Tundra: well polarius if you say you do care for me, then please respect her. I know of rouges history but I believe in second chances.*he says looking at rouge*

Rouge: *looks at Tundra, cracks a smile, mutters* thanks...
Polaris: *sighs* i will try.... although, i will not make any promises, because i know it will not be easy for me..... i know very well of Slean's history, and what she may very well be planning..... knowing Rouge is her daughter and is being raised by her..... well, i jumped to conclusions...... again, i am truly sorry....
Glacier: your apoligie is accepted, Polaris. and thank you for realizing your... mistake.... before losing my daughter's trust and possibly freindship as well...

Tundra: So what now? *he says looking at them all*

Glacier: *looks at Polaris* i would like for you to return to the ice kingdom. i'll leave you in charge until i return there.
Polaris: *bows respectivly* yes, sir. as you wish. *looks at Tundra and Rouge* farewell, young prince.... and princess.... *then flies away*
Rouge: *blinks* princess.....? *cracks a smile*

Tundra: Well your my sister, so your a princess. And if my mom would see it she would be the queen.

Glacier: *looks at them and sighs* but to your mother, she is a queen.... a queen of darkness..... which would technically make Rouge a princess of darkness, if she chose to be one.....
Rouge: well, yeah, there's that...... i mean, i am more of a poison dragon than an ice dragon..... i mean, heck, look at my scales...... i don't know of many green ice dragons...... let alone one that could create illousions or whatever.....

Tundra: True but, but color doesnt mean anything. Its what elements you have, im the only ice dragon that isnt all blue, heck i have purple accents all over me.

Rouge: yeah, but you do have blue, plus everyone knows for sure you're good, so you fit in with them. to everyone else, i'm basically evil, and i seem to only fit in with Mom and her minions, just because other dragons are scared of what i may become someday...... i am nothing but a descendant of evil to everyone else..... they can't see that i'm simply a trickster..... and the fact that i play pranks on others certainly doesn't help with what they think of me.....
Glacier: Rouge, do not worry about what other dragons think. they are fools for not getting to know you before judging what kind of dragon you are. it is true you are a trickster, and you do look like your mother, and perhaps you are her at a younger age, but it does not mean you will become her.
Rouge: maybe not..... but no one else will give me a second chance because of where i come from.....
Glacier: then perhaps they should see that you come from... somewhere else.... *grins slightly*

Tundra: Well rouge, im with you. As long as they know your my sister, they shouldnt say nothing otherwise, we are gonna have a issue. *he said looking at her, he then looked at his dad.* Huh what do you mean dad?

Glacier: *looks at him* i mean, its about time he had a well honored guest at the ice kingdom. i shall make it known that Rouge is to be treated as the ice princess she is. after all, no daughter of mine will be judged wrongly before having the chance to know her.
Rouge: *looks at Glacier* so, you're taking me to the ice kingdom?
Glacier: *looks at her* indeed i am. if other dragons will not listen to you, surely they will listen to me.

Tundra: Hehehe at a go dad.

Glacier: right then, we should get going. *spreads his wings and takes flight*
Rouge: *flies up after him* come on, Tundra!

ooc: cool story! Very nice. I'm definitely reading this.

Tundra: Right behind you guys. *He says as he spreads his wings and goes after them*

OOC: yeah her stories are awesome.

ooc: oh, well thank you. i've been taking a bit of a break from writing this, and right now i'm jsut rp'ing on here with S240sx24. i'm still writing the story though, i will finish it. i just take breaks on occasion.

Chapter 84: New Recruits

"bring forth the first one." Murkvenom grinned evily. Frostbolt walked over to where numerous cages were placed side by side, each one held a prisoner inside. Frost opened the first cage. he grabbed the dragon inside it, and pulled him out, taking him over to a large, black pit of liquid. sitting beside the cages was Goldstar. Frostbolt pushed the dragon to the edge of the liquid. "well, Titus, any last words before you meet your fate?" Murkvenom asked.
"do what you will to me, you feind, but you shall never stop the forces of good." Titus said, a calm seriousness about him.
"we shall see about that." Murkvenom grinned. "throw him in!" he hollered to Frostbolt. then Frost hurled Titus into the liquid. within moments, Titus emerged from the liquid. his scales were jet black and his eyes were blood red. "how do you feel?" Murkvenom asked.
"like killing innocents." Titus snarled with a tone of evil in his voice. Murkvenom grinned.
"excelent." he chuckled. he looked at Frostbolt. "bring the next one!" he said. then he looked at Goldstar. "don't just stand there! hurl the prisioners into the liquid!" he shouted. both nodded, and each grabbed a prisoner. some time passed before someone walked into the large room they were in.
"well? is the job complete?" a young female voice asked.
"yes, Rouge. Slean has new members in her evil army." he grinned. Rouge stood next to him, and looked at the dragons standing in front of the black liquid. Titus, Delano, Hashim, Snake, Aisha, Tynan, and Zanna had all been turned evil. Rouge frowned a bit.
"you are missing one. where is Tundra?" she hissed at Murkvenom.
"he was immune to the liquid. he can not be turned."
"you did not answer my question."
"we locked him up tight. he has many gaurds watching over him. perhaps Slean can change him."
"perhaps. or maybe you should have killed him when you had the chance."
"he is strong. he shares the elements of his parents. he is skilled in battle."
"you mean to tell me he overcame you? he is a mere young dragon. you should have no trouble taking him out."
"then perhaps you should try. after all, he is your brother, Rouge."
"do not remind me!" she hissed.
"look, we succeeded in turning the others. they are willing slaves now."
"yes, but Tundra remains, as well as Glacier."
"don't you mean your father?"
"Murkvenom, in order to become like my mother and one day rule as an evil queen, i must not refer to them as my family. they are nothing to me. they mean absolutely nothing."
"perhaps, but Slean is set on doing something with them. in fact, i believe some ice dragons are on their way here."
"then we must welcome them." Rouge grinned evily.

haha, thats ok. i know its been a while. oh, and i am starting on a new chapter right now.


Glacier: *flies to the ice kingdom*
Rouge: *follows Glacier* this is so cool. i've never been to the ice kingdom before.

Tundra: you'll like it rouge its a nice place to live. *he said flying along side rouge*

really? thats cool cant wait to read it.

yeah. i have to go, so i'll probally finish it tomorrow, unless i get busy.


Rouge: well, i don't know about living there, but i like the idea of visitation rights.
Glacier: *smiles* well, you are always welcome in the ice kingdom, Rouge. *looks ahead* ah, we're here! *lands on an outside platform which leads to a large room*
Rouge: *lands beside him. looks around* wow..... this place is huge.....
Glacier: *chuckles lightly* you haven't been inside yet. come along now. *starts to walk inside*

Tundra: Yeah its a nice place to live. *begins to walk inside with them.*

OOC: ok no problem i hope you have a goodnight, and have a good day tomorrow cyn09.

Glacier: *walks into a large room filled with all kinds of equipment, heads towards doulbe-doors*
Rouge: *follows him, looks around* what is this room?
Glacier: this is where warriors prepare themselves for battle before leaving the castle. it is also the best place to enter and exit the castle through flight. *continues walking*
Rouge: oh, cool. hey, any chance i get to see the throne room? *eyes light up a bit*
Glacier: *chuckles lightly* maybe later, Rouge.

Tundra stayed behind them as he observed rouge.

Glacier: *walks through double-doors and steps into a hallway. continues walking*
Rouge: *follows him, looking all around* these hallways are brighter and nicer looking than the ones back home.
Glacier: well, your mother likes the dark, and probally doesn't care much for nice-looking hallways. but this, too, is your home, Rouge. remember that.

Tundra: Yeah rouge, so our home is your home too, whatever we have is yours too. *tundra said smiling at her*

OOC: have to go to work, i'll see ya tomorrow, take care cyn and please write some more when you can, i love your stories alot lol.

Rouge: thanks. *smiles*
Glacier: *continues walking down the hallway* your welcome. feel free to come by here any time you like, and stay as long as you want to.

Chapter 85: An Evil Tradition

Firefly and Flash wondered through Slean's lair. they seemed to be wandering around in circles, completely lost. they had no clue where they were, let alone where to find thier friends. they continued to wander around lost, until they heard sounds coming from outside.
"sounds like a fight of some kind!" Flash said.
"lets go!" Firefly said, bolting down a dark hallway.
"wait! how do we even get out of here!" Flash hollered as he hurried after her.
"we'll find a way!" she said, determined. meanwhile, as they raced to find an exit, black dragons were heading outside to meet the incomming ice dragons. Rouge and Murkvenom led the way outside, along with them, Frostbolt and Goldstar. the ice dragons swooped down from the sky as the black dragons flew up towards them. the dragons came head to head, and within moments, the black dragons grabbed hold of the ice dragons.
"bring them inside!" Rouge yelled. they nodded, and began to carry the ice dragons into the lair. Rouge turned to face Murkvenom. "get them to the black liquid and turn them. once they are turned, gather up the new recruits, and take them to my mother. she will instruct them further on thier task. do you understand?" she asked, sternly.
"yes, Miss Rouge." Murkvenom nodded. he then flew off. Goldstar, Frostbolt, and all the black dragons followed him.
"now to find little red and that stupid gnat." Rouge said, turning to face the lair entrance with an evil grin. just as she did, Firefly and Flash rushed outside. they spotted each other. "well, ask and you shall recieve." she grinned. Rouge swopped down, landing in front of them. "ah, i see you two are still alive. you guys make it out of the maze ok? didn't get lost too much?" Rouge asked with a snicker. Firefly snarled.
"its time we finished what we started!" she hissed.
"oh, boy, not again!" Flash said, whimpering slightly. "i'll, uh.... just be over there... way over there.... you know, where its... safe...." he muttered, clearing his throat as he slowly started to fly away. Rouge smirked, ignoring the dragonfly.
"i have no quarrel with you, red. i have more important things to tend to."
"what's the matter? afraid you'll lose?" Firefly chuckled lightly. Rouge snarled at that remark.
"i am not scared!" she snapped. "as an evil princess, i have certain jobs that i must do. unfrotunately, killing you is not part of my job description. but i guess i can make an exception just this once." she grinned evily.
"like you could kill me if you tried!" Firefly scoffed.
"oh, not only will i try, but i will succeed!" Rouge grinned. she then leaped at Firefly, but before Firefly could respond, someone tackled Rouge and pinned her to the ground.
"leave her alone!" a male voice growled. Flash came out of hiding, and flew up to Firefly. Rouge smirked.
"well, if it isn't Tundra. come to save your little friend, have you?" she snickered. Tundra held her down tightly.
"i won't let you hurt her, but i don't want to hurt you either!" he said. Rouge chuckled.
"you have to choose a side, Tundra. either you join me in the fight agaisnt her, or you and i are mortal enemies!"
"i have to choose? well, what about you? huh? what's with the Jeckyl and Hide personallity? you seem good one moment, and then you're evil the next, yet you tell me to choose a side?! i think you're the one whose a little mixed up!"
"its all an act! i pretend to be good to fool you moronic do-gooders! and it works every single time!" she chuckled.
"i don't believe that! you msut have a good side!"
"why? just because Glacier is good, it must mean i am too, right? well, you're wrong! i am being raised by evil, therefore i am evil!"
"that doesn't prove anything! i know you have a good side, Rouge. i've heard that you are simply a trickster, not known for being evil. i haven't seen you do anything evil, so how am i supposed to believe you are evil? huh? where's the proof?"
"the proof is my blood. Slean's blood runs through my veins, which makes me evil like her."
"her blood is in me too, but i still have a good side."
"then you simply have not performed the ritual." she smiled darkly.
"ritual?" he blinked in cofusion, loosening his grasp.
"yes. it is tradition. every night, Mom has me perform a particular ritual which inhances my dark side. the evil influence within grows stronger every time, while the good grows weaker. it is a ritual that has been performed for generations on Mom's side of the family to pass on the influence of evil to the offspring."
"and what is this ritual exactly?"
"it is long and a bit complicated. first, a dark circle is formed in a large, pitch black room. encantations are spoken, black magic is performed, dark forces stir. the offspring, which only perform the ritual one at a time to enhance the effects, glow with a dark aura. then dark spirits enter the body of the offspring to greater the influence of evil, and strenghten one's powers. more encantations are spoken and more black magic is performed, only enhancing the evil within. the ritual ends with a drink. the offspring is to drink the blood of pure evil, allowing the blood to mix with thier own blood. the blood stirs in the offspring's body, enahcning the evil within, minimizing the influence of evil, and strengthening the offspring with dark powers. the more the ritual is performed, the more evil and powerful the offspring becomes. how often the ritual is performed depends on the parent. so, you see, it is only a matter of time before all good within me is dead, at which point it will be too late to save me or change me back." she explained, a dark tone in her voice.

I'm on arond ch. 40 right now. great story so far! gaurdians is spelled 'guardians' though, but it's still really cool and fun to read...especially the little comments in between!
