"Karkat!" Eli yelled, letting go of Aradia and running towards Karkat. "C'mon, be okay buddy." He said, checking for any other injuries.

Jackor ran towards him as well.
"What happened?" He asked.

Eli just rolled his eyes.
"How should I know?" He said.

"It was...that figure..." Karkat says, going unconscious.

"Karkat!" Eli yelled, wanting to roll him over, but knowing that wouldn't help. "What should we do? I want to take out the sword, but...." He trailed off.

Aradia walks to Karkat.
"W-what if he's...dead." She whispers in horror.

Eli just shook his head. "He's not dead." He said, determined. "Someone get me a LOT of cloth." He said, looking at Karkat's ripped up shirt. He just tore off some of it. "Should I try to take it out slowly, or not?" He asked.

Mayor: I am sorry for not taking care of this wonderful city. I shall be more active in my duties as mayor of Xenos!

Aradia pulled a shirt from her bag and throws it to Eli.
"Cloth. Please, help him quickly."

Eli nodded, catching the shirt. "Okay....here goes nothing." He said, grabbing the sword from the hilt, and taking a few deep breaths. He then pulled the sword out real quick.

Karkat screams in pain and Aradia cries out in fright, running off. Blood begins to pool heavily from the wound.

Eli cringed from the sight, then bit his tongue and began to wrap the clothe he had gathered around the wound, tying it tight. He then began to put pressure on the wound.

The blood slowly began to slow its flow and Karkat seemed to relax. Well, more or less pass out.

"Eli, Aradia disappeared. Karkat scared her so much. You should probably go find her before she gets hurt..." Terezi begins to say when there's a scream. "Never mind."

Eli sighed, turning to look at Terezi as she says that, and begins to freak out when he hears the scream. "Aradia!" He yelled, running in that direction.

Aradia was surrounded by sabertooth tooth creatures. She had lengthened her claws to fight them, but it was obvious she was outnumbered. She was already heavily gashed and was breathing hard, trying to stay awake.

Eli stood there stunned by what he was seeing. He then shook his head, pulling out one of his knives, jumping onto the back of one, stabbing it through its throat.

The sabertooths turned on Eli. They lunged at him, going immediately for the kill. The one stabbed in its throat crumpled and Aradia ran in front of Eli to shield him from another attack. The creatures snapped their jaws at her ferociously.

Eli shook his head, standing up, and throwing his knife at one of the sabertooths. He then. Scratched the back of his head as he realized what he just did.
"I just threw my weapon away..." He said.

"Don't worry, I always carry a few." Jackor said, running up to them and tossing Eli a couple knives.

The sabertooths snarled at the reinforcements and retreated.

Aradia crumpled to the ground, heavily gashed.
"Are you okay, Eli?" She asks weakly.

Eli dropped the two knives to the ground and looked at her.
"Yeah, but you aren't." He said,looking over her for any major wounds.

"I'm sorry." Aradia cried softly. "Don't be mad. Karkat scared me, so I ran..."

Eli smiled a little, patting her arm. "I'm not mad. I'm just worried for you." He said.

Aradia smiles.
"I'm happy to know that." She says softly.

Eli kept on smiling.
"I don't think there's any was I could be mad at you." He said. "But we still have to check for any major injuries." He said.

Aradia nods. She was covered in deep gashes and tooth marks. She waves a hand to show Eli the injuries, and accidentally nicks him with a claw across the cheek.
"I'm sorry!" She says frightfully.

Eli just bites his lip, putting his hand to his cheek. He felt a little blood, but nothing too bad.
"Just a flesh wound. I'll be fine." He said, gasping a little as he saw a few of Aradia's injuries. "Man...you're pretty banged up.." He said.

Aradia nods painfully.
"I'm sorry, I had a harsh childhood, I'm afraid you'll hurt me if your mad."

"He won't Aradia, don't worry." Terezi says.

Eli just smiled at her, shaking his head.
"How could I get mad at you for getting hurt?" He asked.

Aradia smiles softly at Eli. She relaxes slightly.
"That's a good point. You wouldn't. You're not like...him." She says the last part quiet, quiet enough for only Eli to hear.

Eli just smiled at her, raising an eyebrow after hearing him.
"Who's him?" He whispered.

"Lace. He got mad at me all the time when I didn't follow his order, or when I got injured. He said he cared, but he really just hurt me both mentally and physically. I've been scared the whole rest of my life. Then, I met you, Eli. I feel safe now. I feel like I can live peacefully, not in fear. Thank you." Aradia says.

Eli smiled, hugging her.
"You're welcome." He said. He then sat up, a smirk on his face. "What kind of name is Lace?" He asked, laughing.

Aradia laughs softly.
"I don't know. He scares me though."

Eli's smile faded as she said that.
"Well, you don't need to wore. I'm here." He said,

Aradia nods.
"I know. I trust you."

Eli nodded.
"Now we need to get you back to the others....or just Equius." He said, remembering that Jackor and Terezi were there.

Aradia nods.
"And Karkat? How's he?"

Eli shrugged.
"Unconscious, but better than when we first saw him." He said.

Aradia sighed in relief.

Eli turned his head towards the direction of Karkat and Equius.
"C'mon, Equius will be expecting us." He said.

Aradia nods.
"I'm unable to stand, though."

Eli looked at Jackor.
"C'mon, help me get her back." He said.

Jackor nodded, running towards the two. They began to lift Aradia up, putting her between the two, her arms on their shoulders.

Aradia cries a little in pain.

Eli signaled to stop walking for awhile.
"YOu okay?" He asked her, a look of worry on his face.

Aradia smiles painfully at Eli.
"I'm as okay as I can be." She says.
