Later, Rougestone and Bluefire were walking together in the hall way…
“So, what else are we going to do today?” asked Bluefire
“I don’t know how much more that I can do today, Bluefire. I am tired.” answered Rougestone
“Aw, come on. It is not dark yet and I am not tired.”
“I am, though.”
“Come on! Come on! I wanna do something.”
“Come on, kid.” he said in a sluggish way
“Please, can we do something?”
“You always want to do something.”
“No I don’t.”
“Trust me, you do.”
“Well, why are you tired? Did my sister tire you out earlier?”
“You could say that. I do have my limits.”
“I thought that we would do something after we trained.”
“I think I am going to go in my room.”
“Why?”
“I think that I am going to go to sleep for a little bit before dinner.”
“Fine, I’ll go see what Sapphire is doing.” he said as he ran down the hall way.
Rougestone went into his room, but he didn’t sleep. He just stared out of the window and watched the sun set behind the tree line.

I back. so Rougestone is going to leave temple. Am i right?

“Let’s go, Rouge! We are all eating.”
“Coming!” he called back as he pushed his door open enough for him to get through.
“Hurry up! Bluefire is eating all of the food!”
“Alright!” he replied as his picked up his pace.
Rougestone opened the door to the kitchen and saw everyone, including Traverse, eating.
“Come…and…sit down…with…us.” Traverse said with his mouth full
“That is ok. I think that I am going to go eat outside tonight.” he said as he gathered some food in a bowl and made his way over to the platform. Sapphire looked at both of her parents and then went after him.
“What is wrong? You won earlier.”
“Yes, I know that I won.”
“Then shouldn’t you be a little happier then what you are now?”
“I guess so.”
“Rouge, what is on your mind?”
“Nothing.”
“None of us can pull off a lie around here, can we? Come on. Out of everyone here, you know that you can talk to me.”
“Yeah, I know that I can talk to you about anything, but this is one thing that I don’t want to talk about.”
“Ok, fair enough. You don’t have to talk about it. Just know that I will listen when you are ready to talk.”
The two of them just sat outside and looked up at the sky without Rougestone even touching his food.

It started getting later and night fall had caused it to become pitch black outside. The full moon was hidden by clouds and there wasn’t a star in sight. It was another quiet night that Rougestone was enjoying outside with Sapphire. He had one thing on his mind that night, and it was one thing that he didn’t want to talk to Sapphire about…
“You know…” he started as Sapphire looked up at him.
“…this is the longest that I have ever stayed in one place.”
“Really?” she asked
“Yeah, it is.”
“Well, is that a good thing?”
“What do you think? I got to meet you. That is good enough for me.”
“Come on, Rouge.” she said
“What? It is the truth.”
“If meeting me was the best thing that has happened since you stayed here, why won’t you talk to me?’
“Because, I know that it could possibly hurt you.”
“I know that you wouldn’t hurt me.”
“No, I wouldn’t. That is why I can’t talk about it.”

Ohh, whats he hiding!!

“Rouge, you are starting to scare me with what you are hiding.”
“I am sorry. I am not trying to scare you. I am just starting to tell you what I have been thinking about for the past day or so.”
“Then stop avoiding it. Just tell me what it is.”
“I don’t feel comfortable talking about it because there is only one way to do what I am thinking about.”
“Can you please explain to me what you are talking about?”

“Why can’t you tell me?”
“Because…….”
“Tell me.”
“I am getting tired of staying in one spot for this long. I want to start roaming again.”
“Why would you want to do that? You have everything you could want here.”
“I know, I just miss roaming where I please.”
“And you want to go back to doing it, don’t you?”
“Well, yeah.”
“If you are leaving, I am going with you.”
“You can’t.”
“Why not?”
“You have a life here. You can’t go with me.”
“I’d rather go with you than stay here!”

Ohh..this could get good.

“If I was going to leave, you couldn’t come. You have your brother and your parents here. I can’t take you away from them.”
“You won’t. I’ll go by my own will.”
“How would your parents see it?”
“I will talk to them.”
“Sapphire, you can’t…”
“Rouge, I don’t care. I think that it would be kind of fun wandering around and seeing the world with you.”
“Sapphire…you are putting me in a bad position.”
“No I am not. I will make sure that I talk my parents.”
“And what about your brother?”
“He will be fine. My father has neglected to being a father figure to him for far too long now.”
“There is no changing your mind now is there?”
“Nope” she said with a grin on her face.
“Fine, but this had better be ok with everyone; including your brother.”

I have a gut feeling her parents arn't gonna like that idea.

“You can’t right now, it is late.”
“This is way too important to me to wait until morning.”
“Let’s be reasonable. Do you think that they would be in a good mood if you wake them?”

“Then I think that you need to sleep on it and make sure that this is what you want.”
“Ok, first thing in the morning.”
“First thing in the morning.” he repeated as she gave him a small kiss on the cheek and ran up to her room.
*to himself* “I had better get some sleep for tomorrow; it is going to be a long day.”

i just got home from doing so errands and i have to leave in about an hour. i will post as much as i can in that time frame. i will not be back online until about 9 so as soon as i get home i will post more of Rougestone's story.

Rougestone had trouble falling asleep but it eventually came to him. When it did, however, it wasn’t pleasant. Smoke clouded his vision and he could feel the heat coming off of a nearby fire. Some of the smoke cleared and chaos erupted. Dragons of all shapes and sizes were fighting with one another. Like in his dreams before, flames prevented him from advancing towards the fight. All he could do is watch the battle unfold. Just as the fighting was getting crazy, the smoke clouded his vision once again. A moment later, the smoke dissipated and he could see the battlefield again. Defeated dragons were lying all across the area and he could see a small group of dragons still going at each other. Before he could make out who the dragons were, he was knocked out by an unknown force.

He awoke sweating and lying on his back. His door was opened to a crack and a blue eye was peeking in…
“You up yet?” someone whispered.
“Yeah.” he said in a groggy voice.
“Good, everyone else is awake.” she said
“Great.” he said rolling over and making his way over to the door.
“You sure about this?” he asked as he met her at the door.
“As sure as I am going to be.” Sapphire answered.
“Alright. Just to let you know, I am ok with you coming with me, but if they say no at the end of our talk, I have to respect their decision.”
“I know. I am just worried about dad.”
“Do they know that we want to talk to them?”
“They do, but that is all that they know.” she answered
“They are going to know a lot more after this morning.” he said as they stopped outside of the kitchen, where the four of them waited.

Sapphire and Rougestone walked into the kitchen with the four of them sitting down, waiting.
“So what’s up, you two?” asked Crystal
“I had better not be a grandfather.” said Blackfire
“DAD!! No we are not having a kid!” yelled Sapphire
“Blackfire, cut that out and let them speak. You will know what is going on if you just keep quiet.” scolded Crystal
Rougestone just nodded to Sapphire.
“I want to go with Rougestone.”
“What? Where?” asked Crystal
Rougestone spoke up.
“I have wanted to start wandering again and Sapphire wants to join me.”
“You are leaving?” asked Bluefire
“Yeah, only for a little while.” answered Rougestone.
“So, can I go with him?” asked Sapphire
Her parents just looked at each other in thought.


alright, srry everyone but i have to go until 9 (2 hours). i will write more as soon as i get home.

“It is all up to you guys. She came to the decision all on her own. I have told her that your word on this is final.”
Sapphire just looked at her parents and then at Bluefire
“What? Do I get a say in this too?” asked Bluefire
“Yes, you do.” answered Rougestone
“Really? I do?”
“Yes. I want all of your consent before she goes.”
“Awesome!”
“Well?” asked Sapphire
“It is alright with me.” said Crystal
Blackfire looked over at her. She nodded at him.
“You don’t have to give me that look. I know what my answer is going to be, but I want to hear Bluefire’s answer first.”
“I don’t know, sis… That means that you would be gone.”
“Yes, but not forever. I will come back.”
“Mr. Rougestone…”
“Yeah, kid.”
“You’d take care of her, right?”
“Of course I would, kid. You know that I will.”
“If Mr. Rougestone says that he will, than I don’t have a problem with Sapphire going. As long as they both come back.”
“Yes, we will!” said Sapphire “Dad?”
“I guess it is my turn.” he started “From what I have seen from Rougestone, I have no doubt that he is more than capable of taking care of you along with himself. Sapphire, you are set on going with this dragon and I can’t change your mind on him. Although it may hurt me, I will let you go. If I were to keep you here, you would be unhappy until Rougestone were to return. I would rather see you both return happy then have only Rougestone return with you disheartened the entire time that he was gone.”
“Thank you!” said Sapphire starting to get excited.
“Don’t I get a say in this?” asked Traverse
“You aren’t related to Sapphire.” answered Rougestone.
“I know, but you said that I could go with you when we first met.”
“Alright, you can come too. You had better not be any trouble.” said Rougestone
“I won’t. Cross my thorax.”
“When are you three going?” asked Crystal.
“Whenever Sapphire is ready. I am ready when she is.”
“Give me a couple of minutes and I will be ready.” she said as she ran out of the kitchen and headed to her room.
“Rougestone…”
“Yeah, Blackfire?”
“You are seriously ok with her tagging along?”
“Yeah, why?”
“I was just asking.”
“Take care of her.” said Crystal
“I will, don’t worry.”
“Mr. Rougestone, will I ever see you again?” Bluefire said; starting to get sad.
“Yes you will. I promise.”
“Ok, I trust you.”
“Come on, Rouge!!” he heard from outside of the kitchen.
“I guess that she is ready.”
“Hold up, I am coming outside with you to say good bye.” said Crystal
“Us too!” said Bluefire as he and his father stood up.
They all made their way to the platform where Sapphire was waiting anxiously.
“Ready?”
“Yeah, I think I am, Rouge.”
“You guys be careful.” Crystal said as her eyes started to water.
“Take care of each other.” said Blackfire
“Bye, Mr. Rougestone. Bye, Sapphire.” Bluefire said as the two of them started to fly away
“You coming Traverse?” call Rougestone
“Yeah….” he said flying out of the kitchen with him mouth full of food. He turned to the three dragons on the platform.
“Thanks…for…the…good…hospitality…” he said and flew to catch up with Rougestone and Sapphire.
“Bye, mom! Bye, dad! Bye, Bluefire!” she yelled as the three of them flew further away from the temple.

Wow I didn't excpect her parents to cave that quickly.

Long time no see, everyone! After the time off of darkspyro, i was able to write more of my story, just not able to post it. i will start posting what i have in sections. Hope you like it !!

“So where are we headed?” asked Traverse
“Anywhere.”
“Ok…can you please explain that?”
“Before I stopped and met Sapphire’s family, I just wandered around the world.”
“You just wandered?”
“That is how I got the title The Wanderer.”
“That explains a lot.”
“You just go with the flow; where ever the wind takes you.”
“Not much to it, now is there?”
“Nope. Just live free. There are some rules that we have to follow when meeting other tribes, but I will tell you them later.”
“Great, rules.” Traverse said in a sarcastic tone
“They aren’t that hard to follow. Trust me, they aren’t that bad.”
“Whatever, rules are still rules no matter how simple they are.”
Rougestone tried to change the subject.
“Anywhere in particular that you want to go, Sapphire?”
Sapphire was looking all around her and taking in her surroundings. They were now farther away from home than she had ever been.
“Not really. Like you said, I’ll just go with the flow.”
“Alright then.” Rougestone answered as he started to fly faster than Sapphire.
“Oh, you are going to start this now?” she asked
“Why not? It passes the time.”
“You are right about that!” she said as she gave chase.

Traverse followed them, but he kept his distance from the two. Sapphire stared to catch up to Rougestone, but he speed up when he noticed her advancing. They weren’t paying attention to where they were going or how far from home they were; all they did was chase after each other. One would get ahead and the other would try to catch up.
“You ready to give up?” yelled Sapphire; she was ahead of Rougestone.
“You wish!” he yelled back.
He picked up his speed and tackled her.
“Hey!” she said while she started to laugh.
They tumble for a second and he let her go.
“Ready to give up?” he asked her
“Nope.” she said still laughing. After she said that, she took off again.

Traverse still lingered behind them not wanting to get involved with their fun.
*to himself* “Now I know why she wanted to come with us.” said Traverse
“Come on now, tired already?” asked Sapphire looking back at Rougestone.
“No, I am just saving some of my energy.”
“For what?”
“You never know what you are going to run into out here. At home, you didn’t have to worry as much as would have to out here.”
After he said that, she allowed Rougestone and Traverse to catch up to her.
“Are you expecting us to run into something?” she asked
“No, but you can never be too careful. You have been pretty quiet, Traverse.”
“I know. I thought that I would just let you kids have your fun.” he teased
“You better than that, we aren’t kids.” said Sapphire
“Whatever.” he replied
“So, how far from home do you think we are?” asked Sapphire
“I don’t know. Are you having second thoughts on coming with me?”
“No, no, no, it is not that. I was just asking.”
“It is ok to be a little home sick.”
“I’m not home sick.”
“Ok, I trust you. You guys want to land for a little bit?”
“That sounds like a good idea. You were right about saving our energy.” said Sapphire
The three of them landed on a small patch of field that was surrounded by a forest.
“Do you think we will ever get away from these forests?” asked Sapphire “I want to see more than a forest here and there.”
“Don’t worry; this is only the first day of our trip. There will be a lot more for you to see once we really get going.”
“Like what?” she asked him
“I’m not going to tell. What fun would that be?”
“Aw come on, Rouge. Tell me.”
“Nope, I want to keep some of the things that we might see a secret.”
“I hope that there won’t be any bad ones.” she said
“They won’t come from me if there are any bad surprises.”
“Ok, but what do you mean by that?”
“Remember? We aren’t the only ones in the world and not all of the creatures that we meet will be friendly.”
“So we can’t let our guard down.”
“Right, but we can still have fun.”
“I hope so.” she said
“Hey, of course we will have fun. You don’t have to worry about anything. You just let me worry about that.”
