"Makes sense" Virtu said

Kihei looked at Kumara "After we save the world, could we go out somewhere together? You know, just you and me" He said

Ki heard the noise "What's that?" He asked

"Maybe," Kumara replied to Kihei, "but for now, we must bring back day." She then turned to Ki.
"Yeah, we should see who it is!" Kumara then ran towards the noise, eventually seeing a light blue light in one of the cells.

Ki looked in the cell "I can't make it out" He said

Kihei smiled "It wasn't a no" He thought

Virtu was a little scared "Is it friendly?" She asked

Kumara stared into the cell. it was hard to see, but there was a shadow inside.
"Hello?" Frocious whispered. The blue light began to take the shape of a young dog-like creature.
"Help me..." She cried as the black shadow revealed itself. It's pale eyes sent chills down Kumara's spine.
"We have to help it... Her... Whatever she is!" She said before ramming herself into the cell door, and failed.

Skyward lit her tail up. "Who are you?" she asked.

"What's wrong? Are you injured?" Ki asked

"Kumara, are you ok? Let me try something" Kihei said before freezing the cell door "It should be weak enough to smash through"

"My name... Chloe... Yes, Chloe! That's my name!" She said, her tone mildly brighter, "I'm not hurt... I can't be hurt... But my father..." The dog named Chloe pointed at the dark shape.
"He's gone..."
At that moment, before the others could do anything, the shadow smashed through the frozen cell door and bit Frocious on his right paw. He howled in pain before the creature pushed him over and stood on top of him, while still biting his paw. The black creature also was a dog, although larger and more fierce than Chloe.

Ki and Virtu pulled the dog away from Frocious "What's wrong with your dad?" Ki asked

The dog turned around and snapped its jaws at Ki and Virtu, while Chloe started tearing up again.
"He's one of them... The Drakos... After the war his soul was taken by Cleekrin, and this is what happened..." She said. Kumara then shoved the shadow dog over and pinned it to the ground. It's weakness appeared to be the wind element.
Frocious slowly stood up and winced. His paw was bleeding, but the blood was black. His eyes widened in shock.
"What's happening to me?!" He barked and stumbled backwards. Kumara meanwhile shoved the shadow dog into a different cell and locked in with an old padlock. She hopped in would be strong enough to hold.

"We need something to heal him!" Ki said

Virtu used her crystal, causing her hand to glow pink, she touched Frocious's wound, healing it completely "Mine gives me healing powers!" She announced

Kihei held Chloe "Don't worry, we're going to summon Solaris" He said

Chloe smiled and hugged Kihei, "I hope you succeed in your journey." Kumara then glanced at Frocious. He seemed to be shaking violently and his claws were digging into the concrete ground.
"Frocious? What's wrong?" She asked fearfully. Frocious didn't respond, but he started to growl. Chloe looked at his eyes scared. His once pure violet eyes had turned black and glazed over as if he was under some spell.
"Oh no! My father is trying to claim him as his new host!" She said as Frocious closed his eyes in pain, "I know what to do!" Chloe then turned back into the glowing blue light and merged herself with Frocious's body. His eyes began to flicker from black to aqua.

"I thought I stopped it" Virtu said

Kihei was surprised by how calm Chloe was reacting

"We need to get Blitz awake to defeat the Shadow Creature!" Skyward used her tail to give Blitz a mild electric shock.

Blitz lifted her head. "Hey, what was that for?" she growled.

Skyward pointed at the shadow dog. "Can you create a hurricane?"

"I'll try," she said. She clapped her wings and yelled, "Storm Vortex!" She aimed it at the shadow dog.

The Shadow Dog further backed away into the corner of the cell and snarled. As the wind vortex got closer, he slowly felt his energy draining.
Chloe's light returned to be next to Kihei and she reformed back to her dog form.
"It's not working this time! You have to destroy my father!" She said pointing to the weakened shadow creature/Drakos.
Hearing her words, the Drakos climbed up the wall to get away from the vortex.

Kihei nodded and used his crystal, creating an icy wind which surrounded the Drakos

Ki and Virtu got in Chole's way so she didn't see her dad being destroyed

After one last screech, the Drakos disappeared and Frocious was back to his old self.
"What happened to me?" He asked a little dazed

"Chole's father tried to turn you" Kihei said as he held Chloe

Ki and Virtu looked at the floor

"You mean... That creature tried to possess me?!" He said frightenedly. Kumara put a wing over him.
"Don't worry, it's not going to happen again," she attempted to calm him down. It seemed to work. Chloe stared at the spot where her father once was.
"I've been stuck down here for over 20 years with my father. He never left, even if he was part of the Drakos. I believe he is now in a better place," she said sadly, "please get rid of Cleekrin, so he can't turn others into his Drakos army!"

Kihei went over to Kumara "I feel bad for Chloe, we should let her come with" He said

Kumara nodded, "if she wants to of cause, but we should hurry. We've been down here for a while and I'm starting to feel nervous."
"I heard you would like me to come..." Chloe stated nervously.

"Only if you want to come with" Ki said

Kihei nodded "Ok guys, lets find a way out!" He said

Virtu picked up Chloe and hugged her "Its ok Chloe" She said

"I'm sorry but... I can't leave!" Chloe said fearfully, "if I do, I'll become one of them!"

"We'll protect you" Virtu said

"But you don't understand! It's different for me! I'm already dead..." Chloe said looking to the ground.
"So you are saying, you're an untainted spirit hiding from the darkness?" Frocious asked confused. Chloe nodded slowly, "pretty much. I can't return to the surface right now but... I'm sure if you defeat Cleekrin, I can be free!"
Kumara walked up to her, "and you're sure you can't come with us?" She asked sadly.
"It's impossible when the dark energy is travelling through the afterlife dimension."

"Ok, we swear to you that we'll end this and come back for you" Virtu said as she put Chloe on the ground

"Lets find a way out" Kihei said

Ki and Kihei started looking for an exit

Kumara and Frocious ran to where Icestorm was.
"Great! It looks like it's leading upwards," Frocious said.

Ki, Virtu, and Kihei followed "Should be simple enough" Virtu said

Kumara started walking up the stairs, "it seems safe, no traps or anything," she said relieved.

Kihei, Ki, and Virtu followed, Kihei sticking close to Kumara

Soon, the group came to the surface. It was still dark, but the moon shone on the water, reflecting the beams of light and illuminating the river.
"We seem to have arrived at the end of Lighder Chanel," Kumara said, "this means the Cave of Pure Heart is only a few hours away!"

"Great! We can get this done fast and end this darkness!" Kihei cheered

Ki and Virtu smiled "Who knows, maybe Solaris can magically rebuild the house" Ki said

End Chapter: Ancient Clues
Start chapter: Unexpected turn of events

They journey until they arrive at the entrance of the Cave of Pure Heart. As they enter, someone seems to not be able to go into the cave (which actually looks like a fancy tunnel more than anything). It seems all along someone was fooling them. In this chapter, Solas is summoned.

"Great! The darkness is almost done! Order can be restored!" Ki said

Kihei smiled "When this is over, who knows what Solaris will do! He could bring in a new era of peace!" He said

Virtu imagined how that would look "Sounds good Kihei, but baby steps, we need to summon him first"

"Solas," Flain corrected, "and she's a girl."

"Oh, lighten up, Flain," Skyward whacked him playfully with her tail. "It's not like everything has to be correct."
