If anyone goes to Southfield MI TRU U can go pick up my HOT Head on hold I dont want it. Just tell them I said u can pick it up. They are really overstocked and I think people are seeing results on ebay and not bothering. I won a Crusher on ebay for only $17.50 with shipping. Will hold off on HOT Head, considering itll probably be all over stores soon. Not going to bother to go to the store. I know Hot Heads the rare one. Im not feeling the love for the game like I did last year. I dont have that feeling itll sell out...By doing the Buy one get one 40% off and Buy 2 get one free they are creating a scalping free market IMO. I thinkl when people see that they think they wont be valuable because imo I think they should have waited till closer to black friday to do that deal.

I went to TRU after class (in the evening), they only had wave 2 singles and lightcores, with no obvious empty pegs for 3-packs and giants. They were all in the front of the store (wave 1 was both in front and R-Zone).

Obivously bro because they are only getting $17.50 on ebay people are passing.

Last year, Skylanders was new and the market for them was unsure. Supply did not keep up with the demand.
This year, Skylanders Giants builds on a successful platform. Lessons learned. Supply is keeping up better with the demand this go round.
Resellers are buying up a lot of stock, as some figures are in greater demand, especially for any exclusives, so those may be harder to find for now. My TRUs said that they will continue to get the Legendaries in stock.
I certainly hope they are correct and that the exclusives continue to be restocked so everyone can get one at retail prices.
Last year, I can remember buying Skylanders as they were first released, it was easy at first to get all that we wanted. This time there is a market for Skylanders, and a very healthy one indeed. Its a great game and adults and kids love the toy to game link. The healthy supply is nice to see.
I can understand all the rare variants, it keeps shoppers going back to the store, on the hunt for variants, its all about marketing.

Why go look in the store though? If u notice the Glow in the dark figures are way down as well in the crystals by the the time go all over the place u may have well spend the $100 online. Good luck finding variants I given up long ago. Best of luck to everyone looking for Variants the employees buy them first. Its been proven.

wow even tough i am just not enough with 1 giants me needs more

Saved a lot of money on gas and aggrevation by just buying a load of figures for Skylanders Giants on ebay even though they have the Buy 2 get one free deal and buy one get one 40% off it still costs gas and they are really not worth anything at the moment but worth the extra dollar or two so that I dont have to fool with the store. Ive come to a conclusion that the stores will be stuck for a very very long time...

Probably Wham Shell LOL. Maybe Activision overstocked this one so that they could understock the next figures. It wouldnt surprise me.

Pfft the only store close to me that's overstocked with Giants is Best Buy. After a scalper came with a cart and got 3-4 of each character, I told someone, and they brought like 10 boxes out and restocked.

My Toys R Us said they had more boxes too. Explain then why I just bought a good deal on ebay at 10.00ea even the giants Got Flashwing freight rider and sprocket chiill 10ea then giants averages out to 10ea. I know how to cost average on ebay.

My Best Buy had every character except Fright Rider >.< I stuck with Swarm till I get more money Next Week.

If u want some at a good deal I know how to buy on ebay and average out cost. I have 6 at 83.00 Mostly the giants ones 5 Giants I can get 3 more and have shipping be only 8.00 not to bad. Got a Granite crusher for 17. That would make my cost average 12.50ea on 9. Im talking about after the deals are over at the store, so the question is are people still going to buy them once the promotional deals are over?

SO SAD. i have been saving up for months, even took some money out of the bank. i had about $450 ready to spend yesterday. my father took me to TRU, he said i could only buy the game (and take advantage of the 40% off deal) so i got the legendary three pack. TRU was OVERSTOCKED. it had EVERYTHING released that day. i was ready to buy it all, but i could only get those two. plus, right after i bought the game i found out walmart had the GITD cynder deal. now i have to return both items as i doubt TRU will let me keep the 40% off pack. and i dont think ill be getting there anytime sooner.

Hmm... Has anyone seen anything about or I want them the most!

I have one that I bought of Granite Crusher and it was only $17.50 not to bad. I hadnt been to Target yet so I dont know what the stock is like there. If U look u can find one for close to 15 on ebay.

I talked to an employee for a while yesterday and he said that the Hot Heads came in a case with just Hot Heads, I could have sworn he said there were only four but it was solid HHs. He said they only received ONE LC Jet Vac as he was 1 per case (Smart ratio there Activision!).

He said that the first guy through the door yesterday ran ahead of everyone and grabbed all the Hot Heads, Sprockets and Flashwings but he saw him do that and only let him buy one of each. Score one for the anti-scalpers!

I unfortunately got there 10 minutes later after dropping off my kids at school and was only able to get S2 Flameslinger, S2 Bash and S2 Hex.

Is wave 3 really going to take until 2013. No new ones for the holiday rush?

Unlikely, since USA got Wave 2 earlier than everyone else, and it's not coming out until November for everyone else.

We know what came out in Wave 1 & 2, but for Wave 3 & 4 we only know what characters will be in both of them, not specifically what comes in each wave.

Well I went to Best Buy today to scope out the situation and I mean they had everything excpet Hot Head Sprocket and Flashwing of course (Nice Job Activision). Ive noticed something very odd about the Chills. They only had one with Blue Lips in a single pack so I got that one and all the rest of the single packs were falling off the shelf and they had red lips. I assume the Blue Lips variation is going to be more rare, so I bought that because they only had one left of the Blue Lip Variation, and I got the last one, Yes Activision I put my hand in the fire again and caved, You win.

yeah my has blue lips it was behind all the other chills like someone was hiding it

Ebay is overloaded with red lipped ones of chill, Still no Wham-Shells at best buy though. Isnt that a shame, they had 3 terrafin of Giants, so he may be a rare one.

Around me it is almost all blue lipped, in single and triple, red was hard to find, i've only seen three.

I bought two Chills on launch day, a single and one in the triple pack. Just checked them and one has blue lips and one has red lips.

All the poster art and trading cards have blue lips on them so they probably would have been a mispaint or they ran out of blue paint so used the closest colour to it

That explains why they had a lot of red so I dont think it would make red a variant I think blue would be more rare. We will have to see if they restock with blue lips

Mine was in a single pack and it has blue lips. I haven't noticed any with red lips yet but I prefer the blue lips; red lips would seem out of place on an ice character so maybe it was a production mistake?

Not sure who they replaced exactly but I have one of the empty boxes. I can tell you that two hot heads were in each box and only 1 LCD jet vac per box
