The machine was hit, but released a sonic blast in retaliation.

*Wolverine was his by the sonic blast and landed next to Gallade, who was unconscious due to the grenade*
*Wolverine picked up Gallade and threw him at the machine*

The machine was hit and knocked down because it took too long for it to process just what the heck was happening.

OOC: In other words it couldn't make sense of Wolverine throwing his ally at it.

*Gallade had suddenly woke up*

Gallade: What was that for!
Wolverine: I don't know, I panicked

*Gallade leaped forward and looked at the machine with a night slash attack charged up*

The machine got back up and fired a machine gun at Gallade.

As the two continued on, Treetop just couldn't bring himself to stop thinking about what just happened. Granted, it was sort of a stupid idea for him to mention demons, but he still couldn't really blame her for her reaction. He tried to take his mind off of it by playing with his portal gun, but he was unsuccessful. He watched Lotus for a bit, wondering what exactly went on in her pretty little head. What drives her to act in such a hostile way was a mystery to him. Perhaps he'd never understand; he never was good with females.

"Hey, about what happened back there, don't you think you were acting a bit harsh? I know she was had it coming for her, but still, to speak that way is a bit inappropriate. And I suppose that considering what she's been through, her reaction was understandable. I'm thinking about going back... what do you think?"

Lotus showed no reaction at first. After a quick glance at Treetop, she pulled out a pair of earbuds; evidently she was listening to music the whole time and didn't hear a single word spoken.
"Oh, sorry, did you say something?"

"Nevermind" he said with a sigh, and after a beat, "I'm going back to apologize. I can't live with this."
Lotus just shrugged. "Fine with me. Whatever floats your boat."

He swung through the branches, hurtling through the air, but was stopped short by a pair of robots with the Technus Ind. logo printed on their backs. A feline's voice could be heard through a transmitter, laced with static.

"Yep, that's the one."

The androids snatched the portal device out of his tentacles and grabbed for him as well. The squibbon let out a shrill shriek of alarm, in hopes of attracting any passersby.

OOC: Hmmm. That could be an opportunity to bring another character in for me. What do you think?

OOC: Sounds interesting. Could you further explain?

OOC: It's going to be a good character. I was thinking of having him snipe those androids.

OOC: Okay then.

A laser shot came from out of nowhere, aimed with pinpoint accuracy at one of the androids.

OOC: Probably somewhere from behind, most likely. But still hidden.

As Cadence weakly limped on, her thoughts grew violent towards the fox and squibbon.

'That fox, dare she say things like that? Does she know what I'm going through? No!'
'And that.... squid thing just left me! Why?!'

'Next time I me-' Her thoughts were cut off abruptly as she heard a rather loud shrieking sound.

Cadence debated heading in the direction she heard the sound before rapidly shaking her head and charging in the direction with reckless abandon, the pain from the sprain in her hoof forgotten.

Passing through the trees, brushing past a few and nearly hitting one, she approached the crater quickly, fast enough to fall into it.

"Wow.... Did I seriously just do that?"

Cadence brought herself back up to her hooves and resumed her gallop, at a rather slower pace due to her adrenaline rush fading and when she spotted the androids she paused.

And sat down.

"Right, a broken wing? Check. Broken horn? Check. Androids? Check. Andoids out of your reach? Check. Said androids being owned by some egotistical supervillain with a plan of world domination? Check. Squiddion that left you after some crazy fox girl loses her mind when you refuse to use suspicious portals? Check. Said Squid having probably come back to me to apologize for leaving a pony who cannot, I repeat, CANNOT DEFEND HERSELF IN A FIGHT! alone in a forest unknown to her? Check" she took a moment to regain her breath.

"So, Why should I help you?" she said with absolutely no emotion in her voice.

[OOC: I was also thinking, wondering if the way I write is using the proper use of , in my sentences. Because i'm noticing that people(1) are only using one in a sentence, and I sometimes use around 3-5. Am I doing something wrong?-]

*Gallade struck the machine with his night slash, getting hit by the machine gun the the process*

The machine took the hit and attempted to counter with an energy blade.

OOC: Sorry about that, prextail.

Treetop was flabbergasted. Every point she made was flawless, every complaint justified, and what excuse did he have? None. He felt like someone had punched him in the stomach, taken everything he had did wrong and used it against him, and it made him feel terrible. Shaking a bit, he fell from the canopy, frozen in a fetal position, babbling incoherently. He was having an emotional breakdown.

OOC: I suppose I should wait for a reaction to the shot? Or something... Not sure where to continue with that.

*Wolverine blocked the energy blade with his claws while Gallade used a close combat attack*

The machine was hit again, and suddenly teleported.

The two droids exploded after the shot, sending bits of shrapnel flying.



Foxtail passed by Pit and Ike, and screeched to a halt. He realized that he was going to need help with this mission.

"Hey, I'm going to go give the Strikers a beatdown, and I could use some help. You in?"

Gallade: What the-
Wolverine: Where the hell did it go?

A humanoid figure in a black cloak lowered his laser sniper rifle and watched.

A missile was fired at Gallade and Wolverine from above.

*Gallade and Wolverine dive out of the way, but the missile destroyed some of floor they were standing on*

Wolverine: Great, that gives us even less room to fight!


*Outside of the temple, Link shot his hookshot upwards and it attached to the top of the tower, pulling him up there*

The machine fired more lasers at Gallade from above.

Cadence ignored the explosion and turned around to start trotting away with the limp back in full force.

'So, let's find shelter.' she thought as she wandered into the forest, not a care for Treetop's safety.

'I cannot build much without my horn, so I should find a cave...' a frown etched it's way onto her mouth, but she shook that off. She felt like this world had abandoned her, and, to her knowledge. she was the only pony on this world.

So she began scouring the forest for signs of a cave that can provide shelter as a very dark thought echoed across her mind.

Heh, some Alicorn of love I am...

*The lasers all slammed into Gallade and knocked him down*
*Wolverine started slashing in the air in attempt to hit the machine*


*Link took out a bomb, preparing to blow a hole in the ceiling*

The machine launched another grenade at Wolverine.

The squibbon laid on the ground, his eyes shut, immersed in deep thought. Taking into account all of the things that had happened, he came to the realization: he absolutely hated that mare, and was only fooling himself into thinking he didn't. And who was to say he was the only one that that had happened to?

She's got to pay... he thought. This is the only chance I've got... It's now or never.

He clutched his portal device and used it to collect the leftover scrap metal from the robots. He dragged the pieces into the shade of a low fern tree, cackling madly. Bright blue flashes could be seen from behind the leaves, implying that we was building something.

His heart had been broken too many times. It was the only solution in his mind.

The cloaked figure had left, heading for the tower.

Foxtail passed by Pit and Ike, and screeched to a halt. He realized that he was going to need help with this mission.

"I guess so." Ike then added. The wto had agreed to help.

OOC: On a separate note, after I finished book this evening, I got the idea to eventually bring Foxtail's long lost brother in. Not revealing much on who he is, but let's just say that most characters won't have a phantom of a chance to meet him.

*Link pointed at the force field blocking the reactor*

A voice spoke; it wasn't Metalliform's.

"It's quite simple really, provided you have the right tools."

Wolverine: Who said that?'
Link: Not sure...

*Link took out a light arrow and shot it at the force field*

Link: Did it work?

The force field remained standing.

The figure in the dark cloak appeared.
"Of course that won't work. You need something special."

Link: Special.....
Wolverine: I just got the claws...
Gallade: Link, I think if anybody would know, it would be you!

*Link turned at to the figure*

Link: Can you give me a hint or something?

"Why give you a hint when I'm willing and able to do it myself? After all, I'm here to help, not hinder."

Link: Who are you?

"You can call me Lord Amethyst for now," the figure responded.

Link: Okay, well I'm Link. That's Gallade and Logan
Wolverine: Wolverine to you, elf.

"Now I believe you needed help with a certain force field?" Lord Amethyst walked up to it, as a sword materialized in his hand. He struck the force field with its energized blade. With a explosion of light, the force field disappeared.

Link: Wow! Thank you!

*Link, Wolverine, and Gallade slowly entered the reactor*

Amethyst followed.

OOC: Can you decide what's in here again? I was thinking of having Metalliform appear after they shut it down somehow...

OOC: Sure thing!

*They walked into a large room filled with many electrical machines and barrels of toxic chemicals all over the place. A large reactor was in the center of the room*

Wolverine: So, uh, now what?
Gallade: Maybe that reactor sent the bolt?

*Gallade walked up to the reactor and started poking it*
