Karu sighed. They'd reached it a little later than he hoped for it was already the next day when the party got there. That's when he realized his mistake. It was raining. Bad sign.... Karu gritted his teeth, hoping that it hadn't been raining too much. Otherwise the passage would be too flooded to go through. He inspected the river while everyone was lunching.

Karu sighed, seeing the lake that should be quite shallow about this time of here swell. He took off his clothes except for his undergarments and waded into the small lake. He gasped. 3 meters deep! Karu swam around for a little bit, locating the underwater hole. Memories of him escaping horrible things from the other side drifted around him. He gritted his teeth and came back up for air.

Karu sighed, finding a sunny spot to let the sun dry himself off. He frowned, thinking about what to do now. They could go and possibly make it, but it would be risky. Very risky....

Viruto and the others decided to forgive Karu and didn't talk to him. They stayed silent while they ate with Mallory's dragon pet.

Karu was in a sunny spot, sitting cross-legged and seemed to be meditating, though his eyes were wide open, they were fixed on the ground in front of him.

Karu blinked, seeing Kitty and then made a dash for his clothes, putting them on quickly. "Uhh...here!" He said. Karu wasn't really the social type, so it was awkward for him to even speak back at a person unless he was angry or something.

"...No. We're a month too late." He sighed bluntly. "If we swam underwater, we might be able to make it to the other side, but it'd be tough and very risky. The air pockets I know of should each be about 40 seconds apart. I could lead you to them, but to do so we have to try it by today or they'll be filled up." Karu explained quickly, but his voice was a bit shaky and awkward.

ooc: I know.

"....You can't? Or you won't?" He asked. "It's quite simple." He said in a matter of fact tone. Then did something unexpected. "I'll teach you." Why'd I say that? .....huh....I must be really growing old. Of course, what his midn said was not true.

".....Eh...I guess that makes sense." He muttered, somewhat to himself. Then he rubbed his chin. "Hmm...." Karu blinked. "I'll take the rest of the group through the underwater tunnel, and then I'll come back for you and lead you over the mountain." He promised.

"You can fight, can't you? I won't be long." He said, nonchalantly.

He shrugged. "An hour. It's easier coming back then going because you aren't fighting the current." Karu explained.

Mallory and Viruto were sitting around while Faruto slashed at a tree for training.

"You can have my dragon keep you company" Mallory said.

"Well I will have to Disspell her soon and I want you guys to get used to her because she loves meeting new friends" Mallory said

The dragon nodded. It knew what she was saying. She got up and pushed dust off of her emerald green scales. She walked to the middle of the group. Mallory smiled. "Hello my name is Tanith" The dragon said. Mallory had put a spell on her to speak English and it worked.

"I am very glad to meet you all" Tanith said.

"And who are you?" Tanith said motioning towards Kitty

Karu came back, growling. "If you want to make it, we have to leave now." he said, gathering his stuff and strapping it on quickly. Then without hesitation for the rest of them, moved toward the lake.

"Tanith stay here with Kitty" Mallory said as she grabbed her things and walked with Viruto and Faruto.

"My master said for me to keep you company and I suggest we talk for a bit. I 'll be back after that one guy gets back" Tanith said with a smile

Karu blinked, reaching the shore. He dropped most of his stuff but took his spear out. "Leave anything unnecessary that will hinder your swimming ability." And with that, he jumped into the water, swimming towards the middle of the lake. Then his head popped out for air and he waited for everyone to get in with him. The water was a bit chilly. Well, the winter was pretty cold last year.

Mallory put a spell on her bag to make everything in it waterproof and dove in.

"As soon as he gets back I will disappear and reappear by Mallory" Tanith said.

"yeah" Tanith said as she layed down in front of the tree.

Tanith just sat there.

Then he dived, down to the bottom of the lake, where there was a small hole, only able to fit one person through. He darted through it quickly, swimming with much haste. Karu just hoped that the areas above the water were well.....above the water. He kept swimming, now underneath the mountain. Then he spotted it as the tunnel gave way to a more open space, and there was enough for a nose and a mouth to be above the water. He went up, feeling like he was about to kiss a rock or something. Yuck. Anyway, he paused there, head up and breathing normally for a second.

Karu knew there still wasn't much time so he quickly went back under, swimming through another hole, but this one had a current going against him. He was making slower progress now, now swimming faster against the current. Still, once through there, there were two more spots, each similar to the first for an oxygen break.

The fourth spot was a wide open spaced cavern with a ledge that would be good for sitting on. Fortunately it was only about a foot underneath the water, but the ceiling was high enough that everyone could practically stand there without hitting their heads. Karu sat on the ledge and waited for the others.
