Durza nodded "Kronos! make sure everyone gets to safty! I'll hold this thing off! now go!" as he charged the creature to meet it head on.

Kronos didn't want to run away, but he knew that without aiming, he wasn't going to do a thing. Running away will only make the creature chase them, so he was angry that everybody decided to retreat rather than fight it.

Durza stood his ground and appered to be unfazed by the blow holding the creature in place and breathed fire on it. yelling "GO! I'll be fine just run!"

Kronos, who was not ready to run away, did the only other thing he could do; he bit the creature's paw in order to have it let go of Durza.

In a attempt to take back the advantage Durza blasted the creature with a few fire balls and gave it a powerful blow to the gut to knock it over.

Capella had ran when the order was given, but when she saw Durza under attack, she turned around and frowned at the beast, and called out, "Hey, you big bully, leave him alone." And with that, she let loose a blast of her element; it looked like fire, but it was something else, something more ... plasma.

"Kronos!" angry now Durza fired his most powerful attack "Galactic..." he fired "BLazer!!!"

"Kronos!," Raclaw yelled not wanting the young dragon to get hurt. He used fire on the large creature in an attempt to help hold it off.

Kronos was dazed for a while. It was lucky that he had a very sturdy back, almost like that of an armadillo. As he shook off his dizziness, he couldn't see what was going on.

Durza got up and went to Kronos "Kronos are you all right?" any injuries Durza had had already healed up so he gave off an air of invincibility.

"I'm fine." he said abruptly, slapping himself. He was curious on what that creature was. It looked like a big dragon, but why would it attacked them without any provocation?

"You have to be careful-- we may be out of our league.," Raclaw said glad to see that Kronos was unharmed.

Durza nodded in agreement "yea. But i'm not. Their is only 2 ways to kill me, first is by knowing how to kill me the other you would have to get lucky, very lucky. So next time i tell you to run, don't ignore me and do what you want, run, got it?I'm not trying to be a jurk but i've been fighting none stop for over 60 years with complete mastery of my elements but you Kronos don't know how to use them effectivly yet. I see great potental in you but i want you to live so you can unlock it. You can't do that if you're dead ok."

Kumara approached cautiously. she was surprised her electrical attack was useless, especially since she had trained to make it maximum in power. Then again, it was her secondary attack.
"Durza, some of us have trained their whole lives to become as strong as possible. You may think we are weak compared to you, but doesn't mean we can't help."

"You both have a point...," Raclaw said looking at both Kumara and Durza. "Retreat may be the smart at times, but don't count us out of every fight. It's the only way we're going to get better.," he then said making a point.

"See? This guy understands the importance of teamwork and putting our skills to use," Kumara said standing next to Raclaw.
"Also... How do we know what elements can kill them?" She asked shade.

((That first line is the cheesiest thing K'ara has ever said...))

Kronos thought about that question. The only element that wasn't used there was ice, but once again, he was trying hard to find something that could make him sneeze.

Skyward peeked her head out of the window. "It looks like a battlefield out here," she said.

"There probably was one," Dante remarked. "I will leave now. Good luck surviving this place." He took a backwards step out of the window, then righted himself and flew off.

(You know, I have a feeling plasma would have some effectiveness against it, since it has some light in it.)

Capella sighed in relief now that the danger was over, and began looking around.

(Wait ... huh? I know about the canyon ...)

(Oh, okay.)

((I have no idea what to do. I haven't been here for a while and I'm totally lost.))

Ooc: don't worry storm just read up from where you left off. If you don't remember where you left off i'm sure SC can give you a recap.

Durza smiled at them "well that may be so but my fighting style can be dangerous and with you all being so small compaird to me you could've gotten seriously hurt. I know that your all strong in your own ways and i don't count any of you out. I'm harder to take down though and the more i heal from my injuries the stronger i get."

Kronos simply went into a corner, mumbling. He was so angry for his defective powers. He came from a family of fire dragons, yet couldn't breathe fire. He could use electricity at will, but couldn't control where it was going. And finally, he had ice breath, that only came out when he sneezed. He felt so ridiculous that he didn't want to face the others.

Durza ignored Shade and put a paw on his shoulder "your not alone Kronos. I used to be scrawny and weak. I had no power of my own. I used to be a coward. I always felt like dead weight. But that changed, all by sheer luck. But you, you can change that by choice. Don't sell yourself short because you are ment for bigger things, bigger then you can ever imagin. Ok?"

Kronos couldn't hear the rest of the sentence since he stopped listening when Durza said weak. He really hit a pride vein with that word.
"Weak? Weak!? Somebody who could beat up bullies badly is not weak! My powers are just stupid! Who else has heard of a dragon who can use an ice breath only when he sneezes?" Kronos said furiously, thinking that Durza was comparing his old, weak self with him. Kronos didn't believed himself to be weak, just disoriented.

"All this bickering is getting us nowhere..." Kumara sighed.

"Relax... he wasn't saying you were weak. He was saying the opposite in fact-- that you'll grow and do great things. And you will.," Raclaw said approaching Kronos.

Durza nodded "Raclaw is correct. come on, we need to catch up with Nightshade before something else happens."

Kronos said nothing, but he was secretly glad that there were so many at his side.

Durza smiles saying "come on now, or you'll get left behind." Durza was already heading off to catch up with Nightshade.

Kronos was keeping a close watch as well. He wanted to be useful somehow, and was very furious on how somebody had to be kidnapped just before he could have begun his training.

Nightshade wasn't far. he gave a suprized look "y-you're alive! but how? Big Burtho is one of the most dangerous creatures in the canyon?" Durza gave him a look and said "so, you've named the creature?" Nightshade grew agitated and said "well look I wasn't my idea to name it that." Durza gave him a quizzical look and said "well if you didn't name it then who did?" Nightshade thought fast "not important. look just fallow me. we're almost their, bests as big as Burtho can't get their so we'll be safe. come on."

ooc: I know that but Nightshade doesn't besides he used to live their one upon a time with someone else who decided to name it that. also I thought that was a species common name.

Nightshade sighed as he walked "I told her that we should have named it Azure but noooo. she just had to name it."

Kronos, who had been sitting in a corner rather absentmindedly, was actually hearing the conversation, and he just had to ask.
"So what is this Azure thing?" he asked, wondering what kind of creature was that big, not to mention that sounded like a too much decent name for such beast.

Kumara listened in on the conversation, curious of what this place held.

They soon arrived to an open space. they faced a sheer cliff face that was to steep and high for the death beast to climb. Nightshade smiles and says "we're here."
