Joannah looked at him and frowned. "i-.. I dont want you to talk to her.... She was mean to you last time...." She said.

"It'll be ok, no matter what she says, I'll still love you Joannah" Ki said with a comforting smile

Joannah looked away. "I dont want her to talk to you...."

"Joannah, its the only way I can help you, trust me, I want to help you and this is the only way I can" Ki said

"n-no... w-we just need to find doctor maxwell... He will know what to do...." Joannah said remembering his name.

Lotus's ears drooped. "Yeah... sorry sis, I was just... I don't even know what I was doing." Looking down in shame, she noticed something else in the bottom of the grave, some kind of paper. Interested, she reached down and pulled it to the surface to examine it.

It was an inspection card for a man known as William Carter, approved, boarding a ship known as the Quest, from Liverpool, England to the United States. The date of departure was July 26, 1901, and according to Carter's information, his last residence was London, where he had an occupation as a stage performer. Some form of quarantine was mentioned, but the most interesting part of the document was the accompanying photo. It depicted a young man in a suit with glasses, who Lotus could only assume was William. Oddly, his face appeared scratched out in the photo.

Lotus showed this to Virtu. "Looks like this dude met his end here. Poor guy..."

"Maxwell? Everyone has that name in their head, I think he had something to do with us being here and your problem" Ki said

Virtu looked at the picture before hugging Lotus "Its ok, we won't end up like him" She said

Joannah looked at him. "What do you mean? Have you all met doctor maxwell too?" She asked.

"We didn't meet him, but I just know he's behind all of this Joannah, maybe the girl in your head can give us information that we need" Ki said

Joannah sighed and looked away. "I dont know.... she wont even tell me her name...."

Ki hugged Joannah and kissed her "Maybe she'll tell me, we won't know unless we try" He said

Joannah nodded. "O-okay..." She said still not sure.

"Yeah..." Lotus said with a hint of unease. She seemed distracted. "So, uh, do you think there's anything else buried here? Besides junk?" The vixen was hoping to find something valuable, not, well, second-hand dentures.

Foxtail didn't comment on Lotus's selfish act. He knew she didn't have any ill intent digging up that grave, but he was a little concerned. If they weren't careful, they could lose their minds doing such things as that.

This train of thought was cut sort, however, when something caught his eye. It just appeared to be a simple dirt pile, but there was something... suspicious about it. He curiously sniffed at the mound, found it to hold the faint scent of mammal, and upon closer examination, discovered it to be a track left by food- I mean, an animal. "Hey, guys, come check this out!" he signaled his party over.



"That's a relief." Treetop glanced at Jenny, who gave him the diagnosis after a scan. No sign of a fracture, but Skyward's tail seemed to be bruised. "Who knows what we may have done if your injury had been more severe." This thought troubled the knowledgeable cephalopod. What would they do if something like that happened? They were out in the middle of nowhere, far from any piece of equipment he could use to provide such an injury with proper care. He pushed it out of his mind. He was confident that with his intellect, there was no hurdle they couldn't conquer. "Well, then. Try not to push yourself too hard." With that, he continued to lead them on until they came across another abrupt change in scenery.

It was a rocky, mostly barren area. Numerous large boulders made up the landscape with some smaller stones scattered around. Miniature glaciers dripped wet in the not-so-cold air, crows occasionally landed upon the rocks, depositing seeds and glancing around before taking to the air once more. The dark birds aside, the characteristic thready bulbous structures made it evident that the spiders took up residence here as well. The intrepid squibbon looked back at his posse. "Do watch yourselves. This region seems quite treacherous." With that warning, he eagerly stepped forward into the new territory.

"I don't want to find out" Virtu said before going over to Foxtail "It looks fresh, but what animal made it?" She asked

"Looks like we're going to deal with more spiders" I said as I followed Treetop

Ki petted Joannah's hair "Ok, can I talk to her now?" He asked politely

Joannah was hesitant but then nodded slowly and no sooner had she done so did the mark shift on her face and caused her to break down in sheer pain with the girl screaming in her head repeating no over and over. Tears poured down her cheeks as she held her ears even though the voice was in her head.

Ki held Joannah "Are you ok Joannah?" He asked, he was afraid he caused this

'NO NO NO NO NO!' The voice screamed in her mind not stopping till that pain of her screams was to much for joannah to take and she completely blacked out collapsing against ki.
In her unconscious mind she could see the girl. She had long black curly hair with red ribbons tied through it. She had black eyes that let off a strange shadowy mist and she stared angrily at Joannah before her face softened and her eyes faded to a brilliant blue and she took joannah into her arms apologizing for the pain she had caused telling her that she couldnt even remember her own name. In Joannahs unconscious state the girl calmed joannah and told her stories easing the ringing in her ears and slowly relieving the pain. The girl whispered soft words to joey and eventually told her that in another time she had known ki and did not wish for him to know her fate and that was why she had been rude and not wanted to talk to him. Joannah accepted this and relaxed in the girls arms in her head and as her eyes closed she regained consciousness and winced at the bright sun looking around till she saw ki.

"What happened Joannah? You scared me" Ki said as he nuzzled her neck

Joannah looked away. "S-she told me she knew you once.... And that she doesnt want to talk to you."

He wasn't sure. The footprint was large and circular with three rounded toes. A number of potential candidates came to mind, but Foxtail had trouble pinpointing exactly what it could have been. "Only one way to find out" he concluded, sniffing the ground as he tracked the scent of mammal to another track. He grinned; looks like they were going big game hunting.



Jenny nodded. She could've been concerned, but seeing how easily they disposed of the spiders back in the forest last night, it didn't even come to mind.

The rockylands also appeared to be home to another lifeform, evidenced by the presence of what appeared to be a bird's nest. It was large enough to rule out the possibility of it belonging to the meager crows and cardinals ruling the skies, and appeared to be made of a dirty mess of grass and some kind of wool. But what really stood out wasn't the nest itself, but rather what was inside. A huge egg sat perched in this nest, blue with white spots, unattended by any potential parents. It could make a nice meal, but given the sheer size of the egg, whatever laid it must be immense in stature...

"Look at that egg, its huge! I wonder what laid it" I said

"Well, he's got that look in his eye Lotus, we're going hunting" Virtu said

"I knew her... Wait a minute... Can it be? J-Jenny? Are you in Joannah's head?" Ki asked, he was worried about the hyperactive girl since she disappeared one day that she was going to meet him in a park

Joannah looked up at him and her eyes dilated, changing color and the mark shifted as Jenny took control of joannahs body. She looked away. "you werent supposed to find out ki..... I didnt show up that day because i lost control and was swallowed by my powers..." She said before getting up. "Im sorry ki." she said before moving and pushing on a pressure point knocking him unconscious before leaving into the forest moving quickly so he wouldnt be able to catch up to her when he woke.

His shiny black nose held down low to the ground, Foxtail flicked his tail playfully as he followed the unknown creature's trail. His blood coursed through his veins with excitement. The thrill of the hunt was one that he had never forgotten.

"Oh, uh, okay." Lotus was about to sneak a peek at another grave while Virtu's back was turned, but then trailed along with the two. She was a little disturbed by how nonchalantly she had robbed that resting place, fearing for her own sanity. If I'm not careful, who knows what I could become?

A light breeze rustled her hair, and reminded her of the decoration she wore in it: a delicate lotus blossom, a way of retaining a hint of femininity through her tomboyish behavior, and a reminder that no matter what happened, she would always be the beautiful vixen, Lotus Wild. It provided her with a sense of identity and confidence, soothing her nerves. With that bout of reassurance, she followed the other two foxes on the hunt.

Virtu hugged Lotus "Its going to be ok sis" She said to reassure her sister

Ki slowly got up and ran after Jenny/Joannah after finding her scent "I just want her to be ok, Jenny was my best friend and Joannah is my new girlfriend" He thought as he ran after her

Jenny had gone really far away and had actually tripped and fell into a strange hole that spit her out somewhere else completely new. She looked around and frowned shivering and realizing that the blanket probably snagged on the other end of the hole. She stumbled a bit and Joannah regained control of her body again and looked around. She was no where near where the camp was and she frowned. She started walking in some random direction hoping to find someplace to get out of the sun as a headache started. She walked for what seemed like forever and collapsed in the middle of a strange village of pigs.

Joannah's collapse did not go unnoticed; it wasn't long before one of the hunchbacked swine curiously sniffed the strange masked girl on the ground. It crouched down, gently nudged her with its forehoof, spoke in a gravely voice that befitted that of a simpleton.

"Hello? You got meat?"

"ngh? Uh... none that is good for you...." she groaned slowly sitting up slightly. "i- i guess you can have the meat i got from the spider..." She said pulling a small slab of monster meat out of her pouch. It was stale. "Here... i wont eat it..." She said.

Ki stopped when he saw Joannah's blanket, he picked it up before jumping into the hole, he followed her scent until finding Joannah "Are you ok Joannah?" He asked as he gave her back the blanket

The pig sniffed at the slab of stale meat and then hastily shoved the entire thing in his slobbering mouth and finished it off in one big gulp. Afterwards, he gave the masked girl a goofy grin. "That tasty! You my friend!" he proclaimed with joyous gratitude.

Joannah smiled at the pig creature not noticing the mask that she for some odd reason was wearing. 'Please dont take off the mask.' Jenny whispered to Joannah and she accepted. Her headache started to fade. The mask making it easier for her to bare the sunlight. He didnt look at Ki. She knew he would want to try and remove jenny from her head but now it seemed like the girls soul clung to Joannahs for comfort and support. Their souls clung to each other.

Ki hugged Joannah "I'm so sorry about that you two, I didn't know" He said

Joannah still didnt say anything. She was scared to. She didnt want to cause any conflict between the two old friends. She moved out of his grasp her emotions hidden behind the mask. Joannah got to her feet and looked at him and then to her new pig friend and then began walking away motioning for the pig to follow. Her heart sank with every step and tears fell behind the mask as she walked away from Ki. 'im sorry ki.... i cant do this.... not to jenny.....' she thought.

Ki was immediately heartbroken "I see... That's you decision then... I'll head back to camp..." He thought with a sigh as he started walking back to the campsite

Joannah stopped after a while and fell to her knees breaking down in tears. Her heart ached and she felt horrible. Joannah pulled her blanket tightly around her having gotten it back thanks to ki and held it close to her face. It smelt like him and it made her cry more. Jenny frowned and moved in her mind and pulled joannah's soul against her own and held her. "Im so sorry joey.... I never meant it to be this way...."
"i n-never wanted to hurt him..... i didnt want you to suffer though either..... H-he'll m-move on w-wont he?" Joey asked and Jenny sighed. "Maybe..."

Appearance: A short teenager's aged boy with red hair, grayish blue eyes, he wears a black jacket, and squarish red glasses. Something is off though.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Is smart and has good knowledge of the occult due to stuff such as freddys fazbears, but responds very negatively to dark magic.
Special items: A fire axe that can light it self on fire and a book of the occult.(Using the spells in it drains sanity.)

Ki finally got back to camp, he was hungry, so he looked for some berries

The pig looked confused at Joannah, his simple mind failing to process what exactly the conflict was. "Why Doggy sad?" he asked in regards to Kigali.

Lotus eventually caught up with the two other foxes, out of breath from sprinting so much. "Foxtail, what are we even-" she began, but cut herself short when she saw just what Foxtail had his eyes locked on. It was an enormous, yet gentle-looking beast that slowly trudged along without a care in the world, pausing to yawn. It had the overall body structure of an elephant, but also possessed the fluffy hair, large ears, and general adorableness of a koala bear.



Foxtail licked his chops; this "koalefant" could yield a mountain of meat for his fellow survivors, but unfortunately, a loud snap! of a twig alerted the pachyderm of his presence. It flinched, looking directly at them. The two fennecs held perfectly still- they didn't want to risk startling it and have it flee, making all their efforts for nothing.

Virtu just wanted to hug the animal, she thought it was the cutest thing she'd ever seen aside from her kids, she slowly walked up the the animal and petted it "Its ok, I won't hurt you" She said

Before it could run, the koalefant found itself soothed by Virtu's serene nature, and crouched to the ground allowing her to pet it, and Lotus soon joined in as well.

Great. Now Foxtail felt guilty for wanting to eat it.

Austin's question wouldn't go unanswered for long, as a deep cooing sound was heard. Treetop was flabbergasted as he came to notice a pair of taloned feet attached to long, skinny legs, but he didn't notice the nest's owner's body until he looked up- nearly ten feet off the ground. An avian with a rotund body, black plumage, and wings far too small for aerial flight was the owner of these legs, but its most prominent feature was its single, huge eyeball that took up almost its whole face. It was a rather Tall bird, and it certainly didn't look very happy about these newcomers trespassing in its territory.

Treetop instinctively backed up. "Brace yourselves, everyone!" he ordered his party. He knew that a battle was imminent.

I backed up, the Tallbird looked like a great foe, especially without the homefield advantage

Virtu hugged the koalefant "Do you want to live with us buddy?" She asked

((If anyone's seen Shadmé, tell her we need her here. Don't want her missing out on an epic conflict.))

"Hey, don't be such a scaredy-cat," I teased, "it's just a bird." I thought about the situation a bit more. "Wait a moment, we don't have any weapons. NO WEAPONS?!" I started going crazy, partially because I thought we were doomed but partially because I hoped to scare the bird away.

Ethan wakes up and sees what can only be described as a demonic bird with very long legs. Ethan immiteidlly attacks the nearest leg his axe aflame. Then he noticed the party. " Can this day get any better?" he said happy to see others. He then remembered the bird.

"Ethan?! Buddy you should back away from the bird, we don't know what it could do!" I said

Ethan dodges the birds peck and opens up a book which teen temporarily freezes the bird inplace.
After putting the two items away and picking up a flower' Ethan says " Ok who distracted me from the bird?" He says.

The koalefant made a soft moan, presumably a "yes".

Treetop was startled as a child with a flaming hatchet suddenly went berserk on the tallbird, but he wasn't about to complain as he began to make a spear of his own with the window of opportunity.

The frozen bird shivers in its icy tomb as thin cracks begin forming.

"Ethan stop! The bird is frozen!" I yelled as I ran up to him and pushed him away from the Tallbird "I'm so sorry about my friend ma'am" I said to the Tallbird

Virtu smiled "Great! So what's your name buddy?" She asked as she scratched behind the koalefant's ear

Joannah shook her head. "It doesnt matter now..... He will move on... He'll hopefully forget me... And he will be happy again." She said and got up.

Ethan put the book and axe away the teenager suddenly said. " I think we should go in case there are more then one bird." Ethan says looking at the bird. " Bye the way my name is Ethan" he says pushing up his glasses.
