Heh, if I was limited to one thing, one choice. I wouldn't be able to make the decision.
This is one of the hardest questions for any logically thinking human to answer.

You could wish for world peace, only for it to be broken a day or two later.
You could ask for the end of poverty, It'd just come back.
Same with disease, if you wished that away, our immune systems would suffer greatly and one would evolve to exploit that.

Wishing for something for yourself (Being reasonably selfish I should hope, nothing like asking for dominance or power.) might be okay, but then the guilt of said answer would hit you hard. What else could I have asked for? What would have been better?

Money and currency would be an utter waste to ask for, in the end it is just a value our species invented. A value in constant flux. $50,000.00 (£ in my case.) one day could be worth $3 the next. Or collapse entirely and be worthless.

So many things could go wrong with any one thing that could be asked for. In the end, the better thing to do would be to not ask at all.

Good intentions can sometimes lead to bad things happening. Imagine that with a possibility this powerful.

Some way to leave this world, and know or live in another world. Probably a place where there are no humans, but does not mean that, me myself & generally I despise humanity. Really I do not think that the humans are the only living thing existing in the universe.
