"Alright Cubone, GO!" Scarlet yelled, a little nervous. Cubone then went towards the little Pokemon and used Headbutt, giving it no chance to react. "WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT!? Cubone, you are suppose to wait for the command." Scarlet scolded, with Cubone begrudgingly feeling a little ashamed.

"Alright Cubone, GO!" Scarlet yelled, a little nervous. Cubone then went towards the little Pokemon and used Headbutt, giving it no chance to react. "WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT!? Cubone, you are suppose to wait for the command." Scarlet scolded, with Cubone begrudgingly feeling a little ashamed.

The Flechling took 20 damage and started to sweat.

Cubone was desperate waiting for a command. Scarlet noticed this, but she was feeling a little bad about the poor Fleching, but then remembered that a Trainer doesn't stop until the opponent's Pokemon fainted. "Alright Cubone, Boomerang!" and Cubone obeyed. Scarlet realized late that Ground attacks were ineffective against Flying types. Cubone looked back at her angry, while Scarlet was thinking of another effective attack besides Headbutt...

"FETCHLING USE FLY!!!" She did.

OOC : oh? Ok!

Cubone didn't have time to dodge, and sustain 7 of damage. Although the skull sustained much of the damage, it made him pretty upset. "I know, I know. Cubone, use Leer!" Scarlet commanded, and he obeyed. Hopefully, it would lower it's Defense and give Cubone the chance to finish the battle in the next turn...

It lowered the Fethchling's defence. "Use Peck!" Maria yelled. The Fethcling pecked at it's opent's skull.

Cubone's skull made a wonderful helmet, but nonetheless he sustained damage of 5. He was still in the fight, and Scarlet as well. "Alright Cubone, now use Headbutt!" and Cubone obeyed. Unfortunately, Cubone's skull moved while being pecked, rendering him almost blind. While using Headbutt, Cubone managed to hit Fletching on one of the wings, but couldn't stop, and hit a nearby rock, leaving a large crack, and hurting Cubone quite a lot. He began a tantrum.

"Cubone, stop it!" Scarlet yelled, grabbing Cubone in a firm hug and hitting her in the face with his bone several times. Once Cubone calmed down, he felt extremely bad for hitting Scarlet and feeling very embarrassed with his behavior, but his kind caretaker assured him. "That was a very amazing first battle Cubone..." she said, hinting to her opponent that she had no choice but to call off the battle. And she was so sure that Cubone could win if it wasn't for that silly turn of events...

"It's okay." said Maria with a grin. "Which starter are you getting?" Maria picked up her damaged fennekin and gave it a PP up and a hyper poiteion. "Fenne fennekin!" Amber said cheerfully.

At first, Scarlet was tempted to tell Maria the whole truth, but backed out, and instead answered Maria in a very simple matter. "Here is my starter." she said lifting Cubone, showing him off to Maria, with the small Pokemon smiling and nodding his head very firmly.

"Okay?" said Maria seeing her face tells her Scarlet is lying. "Want to pet my Fennekin?"

"Is it safe?" she asked, knowing that Pokemon could be a little too wary of strangers.

"Don't worry, she is very friendly. Right Amber?" asked Maria. "Fenne Fennekin Fenn"

Scarlet reached her hand, petting Fennekin around the ears. "Wow, it's softer than it looks." she commented, believing Fenneking's fur was very soft. Cubone was in the meantime, showing off to the little fox Pokemon, revealing a very confident side.

"Fennekin!" Amber was watching Cubone. "Yeah I know right. I thought it would be like a Eevee's coat, but it's much softer."

"Oh Eevee, I so want one. So many evolutions to choose from." Scarlet confessed, thinking Eevee as one of the coolest Pokemon out there. Nevertheless, after that small talk, she decided to tell Maria a little bit about herself.

"Listen Maria, I'm on a journey to be a top racer. I am currently looking for a Pokemon I can mount. You don't happen to know where I can find such Pokemon, do you?" she asked, hoping that the new friend knew. The sooner she caught a Pokemon to mount, the sooner she could train.

"I have a Ryhorn I ride. So maybe get one of them!" said Maria.


OOC: I am trying to find Eevee's in my game. I only find males.

"I was thinking about that, but they seem like too rough Pokemon. I tried my chances once with a Zebstrika, and it wasn't pretty." she said, recounting her embarrassing experience. "I have only ridden successfully on my father's Arcanine because he is gentle." she then explained, hoping that Maria knew about gentle Pokemon not so hard to train.

"Hmm. Then maybe a Legandry type? I know one. It is real gental. But you need a Master ball to catch it."

Scarlet found the idea silly. "Oh no, legendary Pokemon are meant to roam free around the world... though it would be cool to ride one someday." she claimed, being that one of her lifelong dreams. "Oh but what's the use? Anyway, you said something about Ryhorns? If there is no other choice, then I guess I can start with one." she then said, hoping that Maria would point the way.

"Okay follow me! I needed to return Flechling anyways!"

"Return Fletching? It's borrowed?" Scarlet asked, following Maria around and putting Cubone on her shoulder.

"Yes. It is my mother's." explained Maria. She put Amber on her shoulder and then went to her house. "You can come in. Or look at the Ry horn when we get there. But if you want to learn more about Ryhorn, you better go inside the house."

Scarlet entered with some doubt. Did Ryhorns lived around Maria's house, or was she breeding them? Whatever the case, she was going to be happy if she managed to have a Ryhorn of her own. That Pokemon, along with Gogoat, was generally the one to start the training, so she couldn't ask for more.

"Okay we are here!" said Maria. There were two Ryhorns and one baby.

"Oh. I thought... never mind. Are they yours?" she asked, with a tone of disappointment. She was expecting to catch a wild Ryhorn, though she wasn't sure if Maria's intention was to give her one...

"Yes. They are mine and my mom's." said Maria with a smile.

"Do you raise too?" Scarlet asked. She thought that people with plenty of Ryhorns was because they did racing.

"Raise? Don't you mean race? Anyways yes I do. It is kind of diffacult but with practice, it is easy. And if you did mean Raise, those two Ryhorns just gave birth somehow."

OOC: That was a writing mistake. I was typing very fast.

"Oh, I see. Well, it's an interesting fact Maria, but I rather catch my own Pokemon to race with. Then maybe later... you an give me a few pointers." Scarlet explained, still believing that Maria's intentions was to give her a Ryhorn.

OC: Okay!

"Try a mountain. Then maybe you could find a Ryhorn." said Maria. "Fennekin fenn!" yelled Amber. "I think she wants you to travel with me?" Amber nods.

"Why, that would be very nice Maria, but..." before finishing the sentence, Cubone, still on her shoulders, gently pulled her hair and smiled. "Oh, I understand. Alright Maria, let's go to the mountains." Scarlet agreed somewhat happy that wasn't going to venture alone. Of course she had Cubone, but it wasn't the same as human company.

"Fennekin!" Amber barked. "The mountains are this way, follow me!" Maria started to walk tword the mountains.

Scarlet followed, finding curious that it was Fennekin the one to suggest the travel. on her way, she wondered for how long Maria would go along her journey. If she could help her train for races, then the quicker she could get to the major leagues.

Maria stops. "Be careful, there are pokeon in this grass. Here take some poke balls." Maria handed Scarlet 30 Poke balls. "I have 30 more!"

Scarlet only had one Pokeball that she was saving to catch a Pokemon to race. But boy was Maria prepared for everything...

Maria slowly walks in the grass and comes across it fine. "YOUR TURN" she yells to Scarlet.

Scarlet was a little impatient, and so was Cubone. Neither of them could walk slowly. They were too much exited. Cubone then went in front of Fennekin and the two girls, acting as he was their guide and protector. "Would you looks at the little showoff. Alright Cubone, lead the way." Scarlet suggested, knowing the Cubone too much.

"Fennekin fenn fennekin!" Amber grinned. "I think Cubone like Fennekin" said Maria.

"Hmm... I was thinking the same thing." Scarlet confirmed in a low voice, though Cubone was already aware what was going on. He highers his chest while walking, pretending he was only there to protect and battle whenever the need.

Maria smiles. "Now he knows what is going on." "Fennekin Fenn fennekin fennekin!"

While walking, Scarlet thought of something; if she was to catch a Ryhorn, it would be a piece of cake. After all, Cubone did manage to put one amazing fight in the battle with Fletching, even if a silly mistake cost him. He only lost because of that, not because of Fletching. And besides, he was a Grund type, and they were super-effective against Rock-types like Ryhorn. Now Scarlet was more happier than before realizing that fact.

Scarlet was a little nervous. Going to an unknown place with somebody she just barely met. Oh well, at least Cubone was by her side. He may be childish, but was very overprotective of her. He was a Pokemon she never caught on a Pokeball, yet he was so loyal to her. She wondered if that was common thing to happen...

when they got there

Maria spotted some right away. "Look over there!!" Maria pointed to a rocky place with Ryhorns.

"I see. Now then, Cubone...CUBONE!" just as Scarlet was gonna give him the command, Cubone already chose a Ryhorn to fight. He used a solid Boomerang on him, strong but not enough to knock him down. Once again, the little Pokemon did things his way, without waiting for his "owner" to give the command...

Amber decided to help Cubone. She used Tackle. It was almost down. "Use a pokebal. Quick!!" yelled Maria.

Scarlet didn't like it at all. Why was Maria using a PokeBall? Wasn't she the one suppose to be capturing that Ryhorn? Was Maria trying to help? Whatever the case, Scarlet was unhappy. She wanted Maria to help her, not do everything for her...

"Come on throw a Pokeball! Or else it will run-" The Ryhorn was gone.
