Ceasar Flickerman: What an exciting Hunger Games we had last year, don't you think Claudius?

Ceasar: Well, I hope we have that same excitement this year! I can't wait till the reapings!

The Hunger Games are an annual televised fight to the death with 24 kids, one girl and one boy between the ages of 12 and 18 from each of the 12 Districts. They have been going on for 78 years, now going on the 79th. Looks like the reapings are today. You may be chosen, or you may volunteer, depending on which District your from. You may get lucky if you were chosen, and someone else volunteers for you. All I can say now is....
Happy Hunger Games, and May the Odds be Ever in Your Favor.

- 2 Characters MAX (Must be one girl and one boy, each from the same District)
- There will likely be blood and gore, so be warned.
- If you ever decide you don't want to role play in this topic, simply kill your characters off.
- ONLY ONE WINNER, NO KATNISS AND PEETA STUFF PEOPLE!
- The Victor will be chosen when the final tributes are controlled by us. We will choose numbers, 2 if you have 2 characters. Whoever gets the number corrected, wins. The others must die.

Personality: Gryf is another deadly tribute. His aim is perfect, almost never missing. He can be kind and trick opponents to like him, and join him. He then kills them in their sleep. He shows different personalities to different people.
Appearance: Gryf has messy blonde with emerald green eyes. He wears the normal Tribute outfit.
Weakness: He sometimes messes up the personalities. He is not good at night and not good with close combat.
Other: He has a necklace with a small arrow on it as his District Token.

Weapon: Throwing Knives
Personality: Cher is dangerous to be around. Her snaps easily and hates to lose. She gets very angry when she misses her target. She is hateful and quick to judge. She is sharp and can out smart almost anyone.
Appearance: Cher wears her black hair in a ponytail. She has piercing blue eyes. She wears the usual Hunger Games outfit.
Weakness: She is not very quick on her feat. She can make a lot of noise, and she is not very strong.
Other: She hates everyone.

Weapon: Flute & Dagger
Personality: Seiki is a kind individual who is quite relaxed. He enjoys sitting on a soft countryside playing music for his girlfriend and his sister. He is rather friendly towards others and doesn't have much of a killer's instinct.
Appearance: Has short, messy brown hair. His eyes are deep blue.
Weakness: Lacking in pyshical strength. Better at long-range.
Other: He wears a gray bucket hat as his token.

Name: Hoshi Sato
Age: 17
Gender: Female
District: 12
Weapon: Large sword.
Personality: Hoshi is rather aggressive in nature and full of brute strength. She is quite protective of her friends though and would do anything for Seiki, her boyfriend.
Appearance: Her brown hair dips just below her jawline and is parted down the middle. Her eyes are a deep, maroonish-red.
Weakness: Often rushes into battle wihtout thinking things through.

Weakness: She is not that strong so she prefers long distance shots.

Personality: Sasara is not a girl of words. She prefers to stay quiet and use motions. She will talk, very rarely, if she must. She relies on her stealth to avoid things. She is kind, once you get to know her, but she normally can seem angered.
Appearance: Long blonde hair with light brown eyes. Her skin is pale, and she burns easily. She wears a small bracelet with a lightning charm.
Weakness: Sasara is not very strong, and her eyesight isn't top-quality either.

Ok, so after the reapings, i think i'll just skip to the games. Y'all can start~

Sasara stood among the many crowds of scared teens. She was more calm than most. She was almost certain she wouldn't get picked. "We will pick from the girs first" The lady on the stage said reaching her hand into the bowl with the girl tribute names. "Ella Martinal" She said as Ella walked up. Sasara ran up to the stage. "I volunteer" She said looking at the bewildered Ella. Sasara's eyes and body language showed that she didnt want Ella to go. Ella nodded as she cried a little, being dragged off the stage by Peacekeepers. "Ahh, a volunteer. What are you, Insane? What's your name?" The lady asked. "Sasara Gekelo" Sasara said simply. "Now for the boys" The lady said pulling a slip of paper from the glass bowl. "Jon Remir" She called out as a tall, tannish male with blue eyes that draw you in moved towards the stage. "Here you have them, Our District 5 tributes!" The lady said gesturing her arm towards the tributes.

Unlike most of the other Districts, the air around the reaping was filled with excitement. Each child shoved and pushed each other out of the way, trying to get closer to the stage. Gryf stood towards the edge, watching and even chuckling at the persistence of the others. "Most of them probably aren't even ready" Gryf said in a whisper. He watched as an outrageous women walked on stage. Her voice was bubbly, and quite annoying really. She wore the typical capitol look, a look we produced. He rolled his eyes. When had that fashion caught on? he thought. He was not paying very close attention as she went over the excruciatingly long and boring details about how the games started and why we have them. Finally, she spoke with such a manor, it was like she was happy to send kids to their deaths. "Ladies first" he said, mimicking her obnoxious voice. She put her hand, each finger nail being long, coated in some Capitol fingernail polish, and grabbed a single piece of paper containing a name. The person whom the name belongs to, would be sent to the dreaded Hunger Games, to almost certain death.

Weapon: Martial Arts
Personality:A bit sadistic and humourous. Very sneaky, doesn't say much and when she does it's very blunt and pointed.
Appearance: Tall, black hair, blue eyes.
Weakness: Prefers to think before she acts, like in a game of chess.

ooc: there are 12 districts in Panem, and one shining Capitol. Each year, two tributes, one girl and one boy, between the ages of 12-18 have to fight in an annual televised fight to the death. It is punishment for their uprising against the capitol.

Personality: Quite quiet, Flint is a bit anti social. He scares easily, and has trust issues. He loves animals and all wildlife.
Appearance: Shaggy blonde hair, quite thin, red eyes. He is somewhat short.
Weakness: He is quite weak, and can't even think of killing anything. Also as mentioned, he scares easily.

"Iri Castlel!"

The announcement echoed around the square and everyone around her unconsciously moved back a little. Her face filled up the screens around her. Iri smirked. She found one of the cameras as she walked slowly to the stage and glared defiantly into it. But actually, she wanted strangle the gloss and makeup covered witch beckoning her up the stage.

OOC: kk, thanks. ^.^ I'd like one more post before the time skip.

Effie Trinket, in her usual over the top outfit, walked on to the stage and stood by the two bowls full of little folded papers. All of the eligiable teens of District 12 stood still, quiet, nervous as she stood before them.
"This time, I think I'll mix things up and let the Gentlemen go first." she announced.
She dug around in the bowl with male names and pulled out a paper. She opened it carefully, only drawing out the suspense for the young people before her.
"Seiki Tanaka" She called out.
Seiki, scared, was pulled away from the crowd by the Peacekeepers and brought on stage. Effie then pulled a name from the other bowl.
"Oh my, Shiori Tanaka." Effie said.
Seiki turned to her, his jaw dropped. His eyes showed a mixture of fear and shock. "Anoyne but her." he thought.
As the Peacekeepers went to collect Shiori, another girl pushed through the crowd. "I VOLUNTEER!" She shouted.
The crowd turns to her. A tear seemed to form in his eye. The girl was brought on stage at which point, Effie asked her name.
"Hoshi Sato." She said.
"There you have it, your District 12 tributes." Effie announced.

Flint stood nervously in the large mass of people. He shifted uneasily. Some older boys walked past him, one of them flicking him in the ear. Flint didn't even glance at them. He was picked on quite a lot by the old group. The woman on the stage was reaching her hand into the bowl. "And for our wonderful female tribute for district 7 we have... Salmonica Brove!" As the girl walked up, the lady stuck her hand in once again. "Flint Tristone!" Flint was frozen in fear. He stood there not able to move. "Go on idiot! Get up there!" Several people shouted at Flint. Soon one of the peacekeepers had to escort Flint. As he was on stage, a tear rolled down his eyes. The woman looked at Flint, and.... did she look a tiny bit sympathetic? The younger tributes were pretty much determined to die, and she knew that well. No, that was impossible. This woman would have no sympathy for anyone but herself.

As the heavily perfumed woman's fingers crawled around in the men's bowl, Iri's heart thudded in her chest. She knew she would be picked eventually, somehow. She resisted the urge to fidget as the male tributes name was called. A bead of sweat curled down from her forehead. She sized the male tribute up. He would be the first to go. No alliances for Iri Castlel.

Seiki and Hoshi sat alone in a section of the train speeding towards the Capitol.
"How could you volunteer?!" Seiki asked, angry.
"She's your twin sister for God's sake." Hoshi responded.
"So you'd rather a had to fight my girlfriend?" Seiki asked.
"I'd sooner die for you, than let you be forced to fight your sister. No one should have to kill a sibling." Hoshi replied.
Seiki's anger lessened, yet a majority of the train ride was spent in silence.

Effie trinket stood up at the stage of district two. "Of course as always I will start with the girls." She said as she went over to a bowl. She reached her hand inside and pulled out a slip of paper. "Alexis Heart" She said. Alex looked around as the peacekeepers came for her. She walked up to the stage wearing a short red dress. "Isn't she beautiful ladies and gentleman" Effie said as she brushed a strand of hair out of her eyes. "And now the boys." She resumed as she did the same process. "Sam Heart" She said. Sam walked up to the stage wearing a red suit to match his sisters dress. "Oh dear, this is terrible. Thank you all for coming" Effie said as she took their hands and led them to the train.

As the "ceremony" ended, the woman shuffled Iri and the other tribute inside the building so they could say their last goodbyes. Iri was escorted into a room by a Peackeeper and the door shut. Iri sighed. Minutes passed. No one came.

Flint was silently crying on the train. This was it. All that he could wonder now was how brutally he was going to be murdered. Salmonica gave him a glance and seemed to be showing pity.

Iri went to the door and knocked.

"Can I leave now?"

Alex and Sam sat on the train in silence. A tear fell from Alex's eye. "Sam promise me something" She said. "What?" Sam asked. "That you won't be the one to kill me" Alex said. "I promise" Sam said

She over-dramatically draws the name from the over-sized fish bowl, lifts it in the air, and walks towards the microphone in the middle of the stage. She attempted to make the piece of paper the center of attention, lady, it already is. We don't need to see the boring white side that hides the name of an unfortunate girl. She slowly, trying to build tension, opens the slip of paper. He clears her throat, yet another weak attempt to build the tension, and begins to say the name in her annoying voice. "Myra Shintry" she says, adding her humorous and obnoxious Capitol accent. I roll my eyes when I see her, excited she got chosen, beginning to strut onto the stage. "3...2...1.." I say, emphasizing the '1.' "I VOLUNTEER" says a female voice, causing that Myra girl to rage quit. I smile, looking at the real female tribute walk calmly on the stage. We don't need another Glimmer I thought. Glimmer had been our female tribute for the 74th Hunger Games. She was a whore, flirting and sticking to that Cato dude from District 2, who eventually left her for dead when the Tracker Jackers hit them. She was such a fool, and brought shame on our District. This girl seemed calmer, but I could tell that inside, she was waiting to kill. The blood lust was obvious in her movements and in her eyes. I couldn't wait to see how her attitude and lust unfolded in the arena. "What is your name darling?" asked the lady. She looked proud to stand in front of us, in font of the whole nation. "Cheryl Yanver, I go by Cher. If you call me Cheryl, I will end you now!" she said, making it obvious she was telling the truth. Miss. Capitol seemed to be taken aback by this. She gasped and looked at Cher like she was a ravenous mutt covered in filth. I chuckled, I REALLY liked her spunk. The women adjusted her wing and moved towards the bowl filled with more tickets to death. This time, it was filled with the names of boys. I looked at the women with more care then i would like to say. She held all our lives in her hand, able to pick anyone. Seeming to be pleased, she grabbed a name, and showcased it like last time. She looked at Cher in fear as she neared the microphone. Gulping, she went to the microphone, right next to Cher. She cleared her throat again and unwrapped the slip. "Gryffin Hansing" She said. I smirked, I didn't even have to volunteer. Many quickly looked at me, i simply glared at them. "I am going into the games, and mark my words, if ANY of you volunteer, your blood will be splattered on the floor!" I said with venom in my voice, making it clear I wouldn't hesitate to kill them all. I proudly strolled onto stage and stood on the other side of the rejected Barbie doll, standing tall and glaring at the other boys, challenging them to volunteer. "Uh, then here are our tributes, Gryffin Hansing and Chery-"She quickly looks at Cher in extreme terror before she back peddles, "Uh, and CHER Yanver!" she says, the fear obvious in her voice. We shake hands, I smirk at her while she retains any emotion. We are escorted into the Justice Building, with the Peacekeepers staying their distance from Cher. I laugh, this will be a fun experience.

Weapon: A long whip with a spiked tip and a spear blade on the other end.
Personality: Robin is usually a quiet person but when he is around friends he can be very loud and obnoxious. He is very aware of his surroundings and is very intelligent about subjects he likes. He is very good at disquising himself in his surroundings.
Appearance: He is white with short, spiky dark brown hair. He is thin and slightly muscular, and is just about Six feet tall.
Weakness: He is a terrible shot, preffering closed ranged fights. He also has a hard time keeping his emotions to himself.

Sasara sat silently on the train. Jon was sitting next to her, obviously trying to get her talk. "So... What's your name" He asked. There was no reply. There was only a slight glare from Sasara.

The rest of the day was boring. I had to visit with my un-supportive parents and annoying siblings. I swear, when I win, I will not invite them to live with me in Victor Village.

Robin slowly walked up to the Reaping ceremony, sitting in the back row not to draw any attention to himself. He was late, and they were just about to pick. The lady walked up to the stage and looks into the bowl of names. She draws one from the top.
"James Thornbottom!" She yelled.

A sickly pale boy, about 4'11 and 12 years old walked up. Robin was watching, horrified at the thought of him competing.

"I.. I cant.. My family.. " He thought.

"Three, Two, O- "

"I VOLUNTEER!" Robin shouted.

Why did I just do that he thought to himself

Alex and Sam looked out the window of the train.

OOC: Following the scenario for this of Peeta dieing and Katniss being the only winner, in the 75th Katniss and Haymitch would've been selected. This goes from the point of Katniss being the winner of the 75th, leaving her as 12's only victor.

As they near the Captiol, the last winner for the 12th, Katniss Everdeen, enters the train car where Seiki and Hoshi sit. Unlike many of the people they'd seen since becoming tributes, Katniss wore rather simple clothes. Perhaps she was out of place with all of the extravagances of the Capitol.
"This is always the hard part. Trying to console you, while trying to build your confidence, and at the same time guide you to a win knowing deep down the odds aren't in this District's favor." Katniss began.
"Are you saying there's no hope?" Seiki asked.
"Not at all. There's always hope. Anything can happen in the arena, you could go in the strongest, but die first. The person believed to be the weakest could be the one to win. It's not always a matter of your strength or skill in battle, rather your ability to survive." Katniss said.
"Is there anything you can say or do to help us win?" Hoshi asked.
"I have some advice for you, but we're almost there. I'll save it for when we get to the Captiol. We have only a few days. It's not long, but it should be enough time." Katniss replied.

ooc: Le time skip~

I watch as the numbers on top of the cornucopia flash and disappear. My heart beat faster as the numbers got closer to 0. I looked over to Cher, who does the same, and nod. She nods back, meaning she is still in the alliance. I quickly look over to the pair from 2, and nod at them.

Alex and Sam looked at Gryph and nodded. "typical to be in an alliance but i don't trust them" Alex thought as she watched the numbers.

I smirk as i watch the numbers get lower.

I quickly look towards the district 4 tributes, nod, and get ready to run. Looking over to Cher, I see her excited and ready to run.

Then, an explosion. It wasn't the gong that released us to the kill. Quickly looking over, I see that a foolish tribute had jumped off his stand early. Her entrails were covering the stand. Then, the gong.

Alex smirked and ran forward as the gong sounded. Sam ran right next to her. They ran to the cornucopia. Alex ducked under a sword and grabbed a backpack that had a belt of throwing knives wrapped around it. Sam punched a tribute in the face and grabbed a curved sword. He grabbed a backpack that was a little smaller than Alex's. They both glanced at Gryph and Cher, nodded and started to run to the forest.

Robin looked down as the numbers were counted down. The gong rang and he dashed into the forest . He climbed to the top of a nearby tree and stared at the cornocopia.

ooc: Ok, so here's how the Arena is set up. There are 5 sections, it is like a circle. In the middle, is an open meadow with the cornucopia in the middle. To the north east of the cornucopia, is a forest. The trees are large and many in numbers. To the Northwest, is a large lakes surrounded by rocks boulders, making a good shelter. To the south east, is a ruined city. There is ruble and rocks littering the ground, some buildings still intact. To the south west, is a land of nothing. No grass, no plants, just dirt. It seems unnecessary, but it will be vital soon...*laughs maniacally*

I was the first to arrive at the cornucopia, quickly finding the bow and arrows, and grabbed a knife. I saw Cher grabbing many knives, and successfully killed two tributes. I quickly loaded the bow, and shot it towards Cher. She looked at me in disbelief, before she saw that it struck the temple of a tribute behind her with an ax. I winked at her as she growled and went back to killing. I shot down another tribute, as did Cher. I saw some other kids kill others, then run to the different sections. Dead bodies littered the floor, blood seeping from their various death causing wounds.

ooc: DO NOT KILL ANYMORE TRIBUTES RIGHT NOW!

ooc: Aw. I was gonna kill the other tribute from 3. Oh well.


With her heart pounding with each number in the countdown, Iri plotted escape routes, collisions with other tributes, the most accessible supplies. She watched the eyes of the others as they flitted around, bodies twitching and betraying their intentions. She noticed an alliances between some and filthy blood lust in others. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the other tribute from 3 ringing his hands. Her brain worked through the possibilities and picked out the best. The last number sounded and the tribute to her right exploded. Iri shielded herself with her arms as blood rained and spattered everywhere. The gong sounded. Iri front flipped of the pedestal and jumped over a tribute that went straight for her. She ran through the carnage and supplies, picking up weapons from the ground and defended herself, ditching them after they stuck in their bodies. She dodged person after person and grabbed two packs of some kind. Without hesitating Iri ran southeast.

Sam and Alex took a breath before running back out of the forest towards Cher and Gryph.
