Welcome to the Kingdom of Fiore. It’s a neutral country with the population of 17 million people. It is also a world of magic. Magic is bought and sold every day and is a vibrant, integral part of people’s lives in Fiore. There are also those who use magic as an occupation. These are referred to as wizards, who make up about 10% of the whole population of Fiore. Wizards belong to various guilds and perform commissioned jobs to make a living. There are a bunch of different guilds throughout the country. And in a certain city to the far eastern corner of the continent, there is a certain guild. It’s a small guild, but its tales have spread far and wide. This is a guild that promises new legends to be born, and continue to be born long into the future. It’s name: Pheonix Wing

Now, guilds are places where wizards gather to share information and take on jobs. You’re not really recognized as a fully fledged wizard until you’ve joined a guild. Some guilds can be mean, and kick you out at the slightest sign of weakness. (Put the Fairy Tail Insignia on your character sheet somewhere) No, not Pheonix Wing. Here, you’re all family, so treat each other as such. The most ancient, the weakest yet strongest magic of all is the power the bonds friendship and love have. (D’aww......)

Rules:
–I am the GM’s of this RP. Cynder09 is the Co-GM of this RP. Nuff said. Don't mess.
–No arguing about any off topic stuff in this topic
–No Godmodding or Metagaming
–The races given anything humanoid but I will make exceptions if you desperately need to be an animal. But absolutely NO DRAGONS. It’s part of the plot. But they do exist. They are extremely rare and hardly ever seen, even in this magic world.
–Put “Lost Magic” somewhere on your character sheet.
–You can have as many characters as you can handle in this RP
–Be logical. Also, realize that there are people who can beat your character down flat in two seconds. Don’t think your king of the world or anything.
–No kills unless agreed by the parties involved.
–This is a mix of Medieval and Present-day, sort of a what-if present day people had magic. Yet most of the fights should be magic/swords, but you can have magic guns
–To join, PM me your character sheet. And make it good.
–The 2 categories of magic available to you are Holder types, which allow you to channel magical power through items to attack, using an external source to channel and produce your magic power and there’s Caster types, where magic is expelled through the body instead of through external weapons or whatnot. There is also Lost Magic, magic that has been erased through history for certain reasons and most Lost Magic is taboo. Lost Magic’s are powerful, but they always come at a high cost.
–Be creative with your custom magic (if you want one) while it falls into one of the categories. For example, Smoke Magic. Uses smoke to make hardened magic fists and whatnot and slams them on people. Archive Magic: magic that allows you to access information instantly about opponents and allows you to dig up spells to use or help your allies as well as being a communicative tool with friends. These are just some of the examples. There was even (and I laugh at this) Tear Magic. The user gets stronger the more he cries. Be creative. However, I will have to accept your magic, which, I don’t mind it being overpowered. Just don’t make it invincible. There’s always got to be a weak point in the magic you use.
–It would be most appreciative if you started out in the guild, but if you want to start outside of it, that’s fine too. Just not everyone should start outside.
–No canon characters and DEFINTELY no characters from Fairy Tail allowed. I’m going to try to make this as original as possible and just take the basics of Fairy Tail.

Note: There is one type of magic I believe is worth mentioning. That is Dragon Slayer magic. Dragon Slayer magic is a Lost Magic that when used, covers your body parts in a magical aura to be like dragon parts. Dragon Slayer Magic can only be taught to a person from a young age BY A DRAGON. It was originally used to DEAL with dragons, but as I say, it’s an ancient spell. It’s a Lost Magic. This magic is powerful, and fun to play so if you want to apply for a Dragon Slayer, then you can. However, it’s up to me if I think you can have it. I will allow 3 Dragon Slayers in Phoenix Wing max (not including me). If you wish to have a Lost Magic, put ‘Lost Magic’ in the Caster or Holder section of your sheet and tell me your idea for a Lost Magic. If you do so, your chances of getting are probably also going to be decreased.

Kyzen – A middle-aged guildmaster with short, black sideburns and a short pointy beard. that both merry and always smiling. Never really one for battles, so no one really knows his strength. Tall tales say he's either really weak and just drains off of others, or he can rival that of the 10 Great Saint Wizards themselves.

Sarai – With long, dark blue hair and the power of Myth Magic that allows her to summon beasts from her imagination, Sarai has been a longstanding member of Pheonix Wing and searches for her missing father.
Members:
Nouste Linkez – Old, but still in his prime, Nouste has been by Master Kyzen's side for a long while. The magic he specializes in is Sound Magic, connecting with the rhythms and vibrations of objects to inflict destruction. He's very low-key and easygoing.
Kiara Galeforce – A bright and sharp girl. She's actually part of the younger generation in the guild being around 14 years of age. Medium length auburn hair, she specializes in Molding Magic and uses Light as her element.
Blaine Ashburn – Hotheaded fire mage, he likes antagonizing people into fights to strengthen himself. Friendly matches of course.
Faye Gryphonbane – Sweet, friendly, and talkative, she doesn't always fight and focuses on her healing and life magic to support teammates.
Damien Thundercloud – Serious, and short tempered, he always seems to get into fights with Blaine. He utilizes Storm magic to control weather to rain various disasters on opponents.
Angel Ravenclaw – A mage not to be messed with, however she has a fun side and likes to be sarcastic and scare people. Uses a certain Lost Magic known as Death Magic where she'll drain life from her opponents as well as summon undead to fight for her.
Alaine Dambry – One of the newest members of Pheonix Wing.

OOC: Joining....just gimme time to make a sheet

ooc: great. We'll start now to kick this off anyway.

Another day at Pheonix Wing. My, it's getting mighty popular...last mission almost destroyed the railway from Lushana (where the guild is situated) to Everlyn. The actual guild building is pretty small, so talks of remodeling are widespread in the guild.

The job request influx has swelled also. New jobs have been placed out. Teams of the wizards there are scrambling to get them done. This is quite a prosperous time for the guild. Unfortunately, there's one person in the guild right now who is just alone. Her supposed team left without her. Kiara Galeforce. She sat bored, looking at the job request board and sighed.

Sarai had noticed that Kiara was still here, looking at the request board. That was odd. Shouldn't she be with her team? Maybe she opted to go solo for once. Sarai normally preferred to go solo. She usually didn't really need help, being an S class wizard and all. Besides, she had her own personal mission, and she didn't want to bother anyone else with it.

Speaking of missions, it was time to choose a job. Sarai headed over to the request board and started looking at the higher ranking jobs. She glanced at Kiara for a moment. She had to admit she was still curious as to why she was here alone.
"Shouldn't you be with your team, Kiara?" Sarai finally asked. Her tone was calm and quiet, as it usually was. She normally wasn't one to socialize all that much with the others. She usually only talked to them when necessary. Plus, Sarai was normally one to hurry off to a job and spend a good deal of time on missions or traveling. She had little time for hanging out with other wizards.

"Well..." Kiara sighed. "I did kinda wake up a little late. That last job was tiring and we had to walk home since the railroad blew up. They left without me. Man...." She looked up at Sarai and smiled. "Oh well. I'd like a little rest anyways." She laughed.

Sarai smiled softly at her and then looked back at the request board.
"Well, it's nice that you get a chance to rest. Still, though, they should have at least told you they were leaving and give you the option of joining them. But I'm sure they won't be gone too long." She said. Sarai paused for a moment. She was looking at the job requests, and one of the harder ones caught her eye. The job would require her to do some fighting, but she was okay with that. Sarai grabbed the paper and read it for a moment. "Well, I should get back to work. Job requests don't complete themselves and money doesn't grow on trees." She said, with a slight snicker.

"Alright. See ya, Sarai!" Kiara said cheerfully. She sighed, and then leaned back, twirling a piece of light in the air.

Master Kyzen appeared. His dark, black hair and youthful vigor always did well to hide his age. He strode swiftly toward the door. "Have fun at the regular meeting!" Kiara shouted at the Master, who in turn, looked back and flashed a quick smile before opening and closing the door.

"Bye, Kiara." Sarai gave a slight nod and soft smile before heading towards the door. She noticed Master Kyzen heading out to his meeting and allowed him to go out first. Then Sarai opened the door and headed out, closing the door behind her. As she stepped outside, Sarai looked at the paper once more. The job was in another town not too far away, and they seemed to be having a bit of a monster problem. Some sort of creature had wandered into the town and was now terrorizing the place. Shouldn't be too difficult to deal with the creature.

Alaine walked over to the request board, trying to find an easy request. Although she was just learning, she still wanted to help her mother pay the rent. Only problem was, she didn't have a team. She didn't know people very well yet, and besides, most of the members seemed to be preoccupied. She would ask someone, but.. she didn't really have enough courage to start a conversation.

"Do you need any help?" A sweet voice asked Alaine. It was Faye Gryphonbane, the resident Life Mage. "If you're having trouble finding a quest, I could help you. I promise not to pick a hard one." She smiled.

Sarai boarded the train that would take her to the town she needed to go to. She wondered what kind of monster she would have to face.

OOC: I'm so sorry! Things have been coming up..

Alaine turned around to face Faye, slightly startled."Um, yeah.. That would be really helpful. But I don't want to inconvenience you.." She smiled sheepishly.

ooc: That's okay.

"Oh, it'll be no trouble at all. I like to help the new recruits." Faye smiled warmly. "I could even help you out with the job, if you like." She said. Then she chuckled a bit. "Oh, whoops, I just realized I completely forgot to introduce myself. I'm Faye Gryphonbane, a Life Mage. So I could heal you if you ended up hurt on the job." She said.

"I'm Alaine Dambry, a Poison Mage. If it's okay with you, it would be really nice if you could help me with the job.." She smiled back happily. "I can't do very much yet, see.. I'm not that great at magic, I haven't quite gotten used to it yet." She admitted, clasping her hands behind her back.

"I'm sure you'll do just fine. You just need more practice. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it." Faye smiled. "And I don't mind helping at all. My magic actually works best as support magic, so I love to team up with others. Plus, it's not as much fun to go alone." She said. Then Faye turned to the request board. "So what kind of job should we go on?"

"Thanks." Alaine turned to face the request board. "Well, I'd like to do an easy job, but still with a reasonable reward. I don't think I'm ready for battles, though. Maybe a delivery job would be good.. I don't know. What would you recommend?" She asked. There were quite a few job requests, it seemed.

"Hmm....." Faye looked at the different jobs, trying to find a easy one that wasn't stingy with the reward. "Here's something." She said. She reached out and grabbed a piece of paper off of the board. "It's sort of a delivery job. The local museum is getting a new priceless item to go on display, some kind of ancient gem stone or something. The job is to ride with this gem and keep it safe, make sure it ends up at museum okay. Since the gem is priceless, they're offering a pretty nice sum of money for someone to protect it. It doesn't sound too hard. What do you think?" She asked, glancing at Alaine.

He wears a large, long hooded sorcerer's robe and cloak that glistens like the night sky. he has a necklace with a fist sized orb and changes color within a golden eye.
Personality: He is always there to assist other mages and offers his services freely. He is a mysterious figure that appears out of nowhere to aid others. He is generous and kind but also secretive and elusive.

Lost Magic

ooc: Wyrstel, you're supposed to PM your character sheet to D-o. For Power, you're supposed to type in a number over 100 like so: 80/100. That's just an example. Also, by choosing to have a type of Lost Magic, your chances of getting accepted are lessened. There's something else as well, you're missing two things on your character sheet. Go back and read the first post to find out what you're missing.

"Sounds good. When do we leave?" Alaine asked, smiling. This was a good opportunity to make money and practise her magic. Maybe she could even get to know Faye a little better, who knows?

"We should probably leave right away. We have to first take the train out of town to meet up with the gem. Then we ride back with it to keep it safe." Faye said.

ooc: I'm back. Thank you so much Cy09 for taking over for me.

"Say, mind if I come with you guys?" Kiara asked bouncing up to them. She smiled brightly at Alaine. "Oops, sorry. I didn't introduce myself. I'm Kiara Galeforce." She did a slight curtsy. "I use Molding Magic."

ooc: No problem.

Faye turned to face Kiara and smiled.
"Oh, hey, Kiara. I certainly don't mind if you come with us. The more the merrier, I say. What do you think, Alaine?" She asked as she looked to her.

"I'm Alaine Dambry, I use Poison magic." Alaine said, returning a small curtsey. "I'd love for you to come. Strength in numbers!" She said happily, smiling at Kiara.

Kiara shined brightly, her face aglow. "Alright. Lemme pack a few things and I'll be back here in a couple minutes." She said. And with that Kiara raced off, her brown ponytail flying through the air.

"Okay, we'll wait." Faye said. She looked to the entrance just as Angel Ravenclaw, the resident Death Mage, was walking inside. "Hi, Angel!" Faye called out, smiling and waving cheerfully. Angel stopped and looked over at the Life Mage.
"Well, if it isn't the nature lover. Aren't there some trees you could talk to rather than bothering me?" She says dryly.
"You know, you could at least try to be nice. Come on, introduce yourself to the new girl." Faye insisted, gesturing to Alaine.
"Well, alright, if you insist." Angel replied with a mischievous smirk. Angel had her hands in the pockets of her black cloak as she walked over to them. She stopped in front of Alaine. "Pleasure to meet you. I'm Angel Ravenclaw, a Death mage." She smiled, yet there was a gleam in her emerald eyes. As she took her right hand out of her pocket to shake the new girl's hand, a tarantula had just crawled up the inside of her sleeve, just past her wrist. Angel was known in the guild for having a pet spider by the name of Octo. She simply loved greeting new people with her little eight-legged friend, and seeing their reaction when the spider crawled onto their hands as they shook hands to greet each other.

Kiara was racing back as fast as she could, ponytail flying through the wind and she was now carrying a purse with her. "Aaaaangellllll!" She yelled happily, actually almost running into her with how quickly she stopped. "You gonna join too?" She asked happily.

She clasped Angel's hand, shaking it gently. "I'm Alaine Dambry, a Pois-" She froze, feeling a crawling sensation across her skin. As she saw the spider she sighed in relief, thinking it was something worse. She took her hand away from Angel's and watched the spider on her hand for a bit, a slight smile spreading across her face.
"If you want to scare me, you should try using something else. I've lived with spiders my whole life. Not very fond of them, but I am used to them." Alaine said, laughing softly. She held out her hand so Angel could collect her pet, a smile on her face.

Angel's mischievous smirk faded immediately. So much for her joke. Faye, however, was giggling. It wasn't everyday that Angel failed to scare or at least startle someone.
"Whatever." Angel muttered as she rolled her eyes. She then held out her hand. "Come here, Octo." She smiled a bit as the tarantula crawled onto her hand. "That's a good boy. Go back in your pocket now." She then put her hand back in her pocket and Octo crawled off her hand. Angel then noticed Kiara. "Join?" She asked curiously.
"Yeah, we're going on a mission. Wanna come?" Faye smiled invitingly.
"I just got back from a job. Why would I want to go with you guys?"
"Well, it might be fun to work together."
"I thought you didn't really approve of the way I used my magic." Angel said calmly, not really caring if she did or not. Faye's smile faded slightly.
"Okay, so your magic kinda creeps me out a bit, and it isn't fair how you can drain your opponent's life force. But we could still team up." She smiled again. Angel looked away as she thought a moment. She then pulled her hand out of her pocket, with Octo now crawling up her arm. She picked him up with her other hand.
"Well, what do you think, Octo? Should we work with them?" She asked her pet. The spider just looked at her for a moment, and then started crawling up her arm. Angel glanced at the others. "Alright, I'll tag along. After all, it's not like I have much else to do." She shrugged. Octo was crawling up towards her shoulder now.
"Great!" Faye grinned, bouncing on her heels as she clasped her hands together.

"Is everyone ready?" Kiara asked. She put her hands together, using a bit of her make magic and copied the job request out of light. Kiara was looking at it, after all it was the first time she'd seen the mission anyway. She frowned a little. "Priceless gem, eh?" Kiara looked at the picture while leaning to one side. "Okay. Seems easy enough!" She smiled. Yet this smile seemed kind of fake......like she was hiding something.

Angel looked at Kiara a moment. Something seemed off. Eh, it's probably nothing to worry about. Faye didn't seem notice, since she was still smiling as she normally did.
"Yeah, I picked an easy one so Alaine won't have too much trouble." She said.
"Oh, great. If I knew this was going to be a boring job, I probably would have refused to tag along." Angel grumbled. Faye glanced at her with a slight frown.
"You're not thinking of changing your mind, are you?"
"Well, no. I agreed to help, so I will. But I may conjure some zombies or something to keep myself amused."
"Angel, don't summon the undead if you don't need them."
"But I do need them. They keep me entertained. Well, them and Octo." She said. The tarantula was now sitting on her shoulder. Faye sighed and shook her head gently.
"Well, anyway, I think we're all set to go." Faye's smile quickly returned.

"Alright. So....our client is here, so we should probably make our way there first." Kiara had pulled out a map and showed everyone. "Well, lets go. We should get there in a couple of hours. It's not that far." She suddenly flashed behind the guild. The sound of an engine roared. An MP car zoomed in front of them, Kiara at the wheel with some sort of strap attached to her wrist.

ooc: Useful Info: MP cars run on the magical energy of the user driving it. It's fast, lightweight, and economical, but one must be careful to not run the car too fast or too long because it will make the driver sick if he/she uses is drained too much magic.

"Alright, let's get this job over with then." Angel said. Then she quickly hopped in back of the car. She picked up Octo off of her shoulder and held him in her hands.
"Be careful not to overextend yourself, Kiara. You don't want to use up all of your magic energy before we get started on the job." Faye said with concern in her voice. Angel rolled her eyes.
"We're not going that far, and we probably don't even need that much magic anyway. Just get in already, treehugger."
"It doesn't hurt to be careful." Faye said as she hopped in back.
"There's careful, and then there's paranoid. This is an easy job that one person could do alone. There's nothing to worry about." Angel said casually.

OOC: I'm confused; Is Octo a spider or a tarantula? >.<

Alaine smiled, hopping in the back nest to Faye. Somehow she had managed to get three people to help her on her first mission, what luck! Maybe she would get a chance to watch the others use their magic. Either way, it would be fun.

ooc: A tarantula is a species of spider. It's part of the arachnid family.

Faye glanced at Alaine and smiled. "Okay, we're all set. Let's go."
"Finally." Angel muttered under her breath.

Kiara grinned. "Alright!" And the car drove away, actually quite fast. Kiara sped out at top speed. The road was quite bumpy, but with all the extra adrenaline, Kiara didn't really think much she was using too much energy. She just wanted to get there as quickly as possible. Driving is boring anyway.

Angel held onto Octo, caring more about the safety of her pet than holding on for her own sake. Faye was holding on tight to the car itself, and didn't seem too fond of the fast, bumpy ride.
"Don't you think you're overextending yourself? I don't think we need to go this fast." Faye called to Kiara. Angel just rolled her eyes. The ride didn't bother her, so long as her pet was safe.

"I'm okay!" Kiara called back, putting a step on it. Soon, they were out of the city and the crowded street corners and speeding toward their destination.

Soon, the group found themselves in a wide mansion sitting down with the client. It was the usual business details. Nothing really interesting came up, other than the client seemed a bit nervously urgent to get the priceless gem from point A to point B. Kiara really only half listened the entire time, still looking at the marvelous mansion. Now, they were all walking to the train.

Angel hadn't really been listening at all, not really caring for the boring details. This job was too easy for her taste. She actually hoped someone would try to steal the gem, just so the job wouldn't feel like a complete waste of time. Faye of course listened to every word, and was friendly and polite at all times. It was just common courtesy. Although there was a brief moment when she wasn't paying attention, simply because she was trying to keep Angel from scaring the client with her pet.

Pizzazz stretched and yawned as she sat half-asleep against the wall of one of the Guild rooms.
Almost in, she thought excitedly. I hope they don't tell me that glitter is an illegitimate form of magic like those other guilds. Glitter is totally legitimate! Why, I painstakingly crafted- her thoughts trailed off as she searched the room for a clock. What time is it? Should I be doing stuff?

Nouste walked into the room Pizzazz was. He smiled warmly at her, being an older fellow and walked up. "Well, Miss Furiah....your magic is.....Glitter.....Magic...correct?" he eyed her, stroking his beard a bit and looking at her reaction. He walked to the center of the room carrying some sort of turquoise orb.

Zaz stood up and approached him.
"Yeah, I know it's probably not... orthodox?- but it's all real. No smoke and mirrors here, sir. Just pure, unadulterated magic."
She looked around the room, as if searching for an approving glance to validate her current performance, but finding no other face. She turned back to Nouste.
"So, I should do something to that orb, right? I'm just assuming..." she trailed off.

Blaine Ashblaze and Damien Thundercloud had managed to get back to the guild from a job at the same time. Even though they just got back, Blaine was already challenging Damien to a fight. The Fire mage was easily able to anger the Storm mage, and the two immediately engaged in a fist fight. So far, they weren't using their magic, but that usually didn't last long. The two young mages were already making a mess of the place as they wrestled each other.

Alaine had been listening to the client eagerly, taking note of every detail. She didn't want to mess this up. She look down towards the distant tracks as they approached the train, wondering how long a ride it was.

The client finished. Kiara got up and promptly raced out of the door, heading for the station. She quickly got there and waited for all of them to catch up.

Nouste nodded. "Oh, I'm sure." He said in a friendly, non-sarcastic, even tone. He held the orb and it floated a few feet before him. He stepped back. "This is what's called an MP Lacarima." He said. "It basically measures a magical attack's power. I want you to hit it with your best attack." He smiled.

Faye was practically skipping along, and even humming a little tune as she caught up to Kiara. Angel just rolled her eyes at Faye's behavior and ignored her joyful humming. She caught up to the others, still carrying her pet.

Zaz sighed and sank back on her heels. She had only her three elemental vials with her: fire, water, and air. The glittery contents were, in order: red, blue, and translucent, respectively. None of her more interesting glitters this time. She finally settled on fire, as it was a fairly potent option, and removed the other two from around her neck, setting them on the floor at her feet.

As she straightened her posture back up, her eyes fixed upon the orb. The vial around her neck shattered and loosed the red glitter, which seemed to multiply, gathering itself into the form of a flame and surging towards the orb, which was then engulfed.
