Welcome to the world of Amyte, a world nestled in a far away dimension orbited by three moons.
Amyte is a generally peaceful world. Besides a few skirmishes here and there, there is no strife. The queen's reign is strong, after all.
But the kingdom is not. The special Adamys, a diamond that keeps energy flowing through the land ,has vanished. If it is not in it's sacred place, It does not work, and the land is left with whatever energy it has left. Of course, the queen didn't tell the people that. If the people knew, they might rebel. She was loved, but everyone wants power deep inside, and she knew that. It was best they thought the land was still strong and that queen continues to fully protect the Adamys.
The queen, Venys, was a magically powerful dragoness. But she couldn't leave her castle for royal and physical reason. So she needed someone to find the Adamys for her. She needed someone tough and willing to fight. She knew that person wouldn't come from her land. Her people hardly ever fought. She also knew she was going to need more than one person. Whoever managed to get a hold of the Adamys must have been very, very powerful.
So Venys went elsewhere. To other dimensions. Her people may not be fighters, but they were intellegent and wise. They had known about other dimensions for centuries. She carefully selected a young hero from all different dimensions. Diversity is one of the best ways to win a fight, Venys knew.
She picked but a few, but those few were very powerful indeed. She knew they could do this quest. She knew that very well.
The World of Amyte
The world of Amyte(am-i-tee) is a racially diverse place, where everyone is treated equal. They've got every species you could think of and more, except humans. Humans have never made their way to Amyte, and they never will. It's completely secret.
Amyte is also geographically diverse. There are many different terrains. Far to the north are the vast tundras, that are inhabited by many Ice-alligned species, such as Snow Dragons, Polaris Bears(much different from a polar bear), and Penguins. There isn't much water up that way, and where there is, it is all frozen.
Towering far in the west are huge mountains. There are many mines and small villages dotted throughout the vast mountain range. It is inhabited by mostly dwarves, but there are also Golems, Trolls, and many different types of Dragons that live across the mountain peaks. Water is abundant here, coming from run-off glacier water and many underground springs. It is one of the most wealthy regions in all of Amyte.
Stretching out at the foot of the mountains is a large plain. This is the most prosperous area, and the most populated. Farming is big in this area. Most of its inhabitants are all kinds of Dragons, Dogs, and Horses/Unicorns/Pegasi. Many rivers traverse through the relatively flat land.
Deep in the south, a vast desert stretchs from the southernmost tip of the mountains almost all the way to the oceans in the east. There are lots different species here, including Giant Scorpions, Sand Dragons, and Sand Snakes. There is hardly any water except for a few scattered oases.
At the far north end of the grassland is a large woodland, that strectches across the continent almost to the ocean. It is the divider between the southern lands and the northern tundras. There are many woodland creatures that live here, like Sprites, Wolfs, and Stags. There are rivers here too.
The final area is the Coastal plains against the ocean. The most prominent area here is the Caerulys Bay, where the capital, Caerulys City sits. Every species lives here, except from the desert and tundras.
Where It Begins
You find yourself on the streets of city somewhere, a city you don't recognize. You're not sure how you got here, the last day or so of your life is a blur. You don't know how, but somehow you remember a message you must've been told: Find the queen!

*Sorry for Double Post*
My Character: Name: Ayla Age: She appears to be an adolescent dragon of about 14 years(In Earth years, about 17 years), but she is truly 115 years(In Earth years, about 118 years). Gender: Female Species/Race: Ram'rae(ram-uh-ray) History: Ayla was born to a secret race high in the mountains - a race that spends all their time worshipping their god. Ayla was special - she was the only girl. In this race, there is no need for a mother or a father. The egg appears one night in the hatchery, and it is taken care of until hatching. There had been a prophecy, 11 years prior, that a special egg would appear and give forth a hero to the world, a hero of their race. That hero would be the Ram'rae, a legendary hero who would come forth as a beacon of hope in a sea of shadows and turmoil. This race had anticipated the arrival of a hero for 11 years, but no special eggs appeared, and no hatchlings showed any potential heroism. They began to lose hope. And then came the special hatchling they had been waiting for. It was cold winter night, and the wind was howling in everyone's mane. It was the rare triple moon - all three moons were full and bright in the sky. The moons all alligned over the small hole in the hatchery roof. And then, Ayla. Ayla was raised like royalty - much to her dismay. She had been trained in the secret ways of summoning light energy - a skill only taught to the best f the best among her race. As time went on, her potential began to show as she began to become both a better fighter and helper. Of course, she was not excluded from the extensive prayer her kind did. Every morning and evening, she went to the temple to bow her head in silent prayer for over an hour, then return to her training. This did not sit well with Ayla. She wanted to be free and out there, doing what she was supposed to do, being what she was supposed to be. After 13 years of rigorous prayer and training, she finally broke free and hurtled from the mountain tops head-first, eager to see the world. Ayla went on two journeys - each their own and each oppopsite the other. There was a gap of 101 years between the two. Over time, Ayla learned that he world had changed. She learned that maybe the 13 years she spent in the mountains training her heart out weren't so bad after all. She doesn't return to her place of origin anymore though. Ayla has left the past behind her. She learned to never look back. If she did, the past would drag her down. Personality: Ayla has a fierce, fiery spirit, but she's not the mean kind. She's also very stubborn. When she gets an idea in her mind that's she going to do something, she's going to do it. It's hard to keep her from doing things she wants. She's ambitious, but she nows her values too. She's very kind-hearted and is willing to give everyone a second chance - unless you prove yourself unworthy the first time. She is known to be playful, and is often caught joining in the games that village children play. She's always willing to sacrifice small things like food to keep others happy. That's her flaw. She's too generous and kind, and sometimes, that can get her in sticky situations. Powers: Her main elemental alignment is light. She can conjure small balls of light and shoot beams of light, but she prefers to use her ram-like horns to smash into enemies. Using her light energy exhasutes her quickly, so she does her best to avoid using those powers. Her weakness is water. She has never learned to swim and probably never will. If she is facing an enemy of the water-allignment, then she is at the disadvantage. Appearance: http://imgur.com/FWsKL (This is my own artwork.) Ayla has pink, thin fur. Her wings have the appearance of angel wings and are mainly white, but are pink along the top and pale beigh at the bottom tips. Her eyes are a golden and her snout has the appearance almost of the snout of a dog. Her horns curve backwards and are golden too. Her long tail is tipped in a double pyramid.

Name: Darin
Age: He’s 21 in elven years or the gryphon equivalent. Gender: Male Species/Race: His species changes depending on his form. One of his forms is Gryphon while the other is Elven. History: Darin comes from a universe with many humanoid races (including humans) and many mystical races (including dragons). In the particular land in which Darin comes from, there are mostly elves and mystical creatures. Half-elves are also somewhat abundant and humans are less common. Before the events of this RP, Darin lived in/nearby a small village. His history, however, begins with the gryphons that used to reside deep within the nearby woods. At a young age, they found him as a young gryphon cub. He only remembered his name, thus his original Elven parents are unknown. These gryphons raised/trained him for years (until he was about 14) until a rather traumatic event occurred. One day, some humans came with the goal of capturing him and his gryphon family. This group was rather infamous for capturing mystical creatures and selling them elsewhere as slaves and/or exotic pets. It was illegal for gryphons to be sold/captured in this particular land as they were greatly respected. His gryphon family tried to defend him, but ended up giving their lives instead. Darin, himself, gave a good fight but it wasn't enough. He received his scar and was loaded into a cage on the back of a carriage. He found that his vision was somewhat lessened; though he related this to mere fatigue. The carriage began moving, presumably taking him away to some other hostile land. The Elves (from elsewhere in the land) heard about these slavers and went after them. They enlisted the help of the villagers (all Half-elven) and set-up an ambush. The slavers were stopped and the cage was unlocked. Darin didn't go anywhere though, fore he was greatly injured. In addition to his eye, he had an injured leg and wing. The half-elves volunteered to take him temporary and heal him up. One of the elves stayed behind and helped with this process. His wing and leg were completely healed up, though he now lacked the peripheral vision in his left eye. This elf, whom specialized in transformation-based magic, also suspected something unique about Darin. As a gryphon, he had already managed to both fully understand and speak the common dialect. Most gryphons, though quite intelligent, could only understand the common dialect. There were those who spoke it as well, but it ether took magic or many years of elven/half-elven/human contact for them to achieve this. At only 14, Darin shouldn't have able to do this. The elf waited until Darin's injuries are were fully healed and proceeded to do some tests on him. It was evident that he had little contact with the elves/half elves/humans beforehand and he showed negative for any known communication-related spell effects. The elf then tried some other tests (meant to discover a shapeshifter’s true form) and discovered Darin’s Elven form. The elf stayed long enough to teach Darin show to shift and returned to his people. From this moment on, the villagers took him in for good and began to teach him their Half-elven ways. Being trained as a gryphon for about much of his life (about 2/3), he was raised as a natural hunter and tracker. This translated to his Elven specialization in the use of the bow. He later gained a scimitar for close quarter combat, but often served as a ranger/archer for bandits or anyone else who threatened the village. Despite this, he had never forgotten his gryphon form and still slept in that form. Eventually, he took this a step farther and moved back into the nearby woods. He found a cave and began to hunt again in his gryphon form. He still protected the village (albeit via the air) and occasionally served as an mount when needed. He still, however, socialized and sold any extra kills in his Elven form. He is as much a gryphon as he is an elf, though he knows the ways of both. Personality: Partly due to his gryphon childhood, he is quite loyal to his friends. He can be brave when he needs to be, but tends to be cautious around new people. He’ll often strategize, is a tad claustrophobic due to his past, and has a grudge towards the humans. He's comfortable for serving as the occasional mount for those whom he befriends and prefers to only use his Elven form in certain social situations (such as selling his kills). He’s comfortable in the woods and such an environment could possibly give him an advantage. He is also a tad cautious of his left side while fighting, due to the lost peripheral vision in his left eye. Weapons/Powers: In his elven form, he has a simple hunting bow and a scimitar. The former is mainly used for hunting while the can be used for close quarter combat. Weapons besides, he processes the ability to shift to and from a gryphon. This ability can be draining though and can only be done a few times a day. In his gryphon form, he's good with his claws and is an excellent hunter/tracker in either form. He is quite swift, though there are limitations to his swiftness. If used as a mount, his speed is lessened. He's fastest without a rider, decent with just one rider, and slightly slower with two or more riders. The precise amount of speed lost and the max number of riders depends greatly on total weight. Assuming average weight, the most he could carry is two people. If they're light enough, this may be extended to 3 people. If one is heavy enough, he may be restricted to just one person. To a certain degree, size matters as well. Appearance: His appearance varies, depending on his form. Both forms share the same brown eyes as well as a distinctive scar over the left eye. Elven form - In his elven form, he's average height for his race and has dirty blonde hair. He wears leather armor for light protection. Gryphon form - In his gryphon form, he's average size and is tan/white/brown. His scar is more obvious in this form and allows others to recognize him. (Thank-you, CinderLover, for the fanart!) |

Name: Tealle "Libra" Clover
Age: equivalent of a 14-year-old human girl, though for a Felimare she is just about to be an adult Gender: Female Species/Race: Felimare - In appearance, a creature bearing physical features of both big cats and unicorns. They use varying types of magic, though they are not especially skilled in any specific field of magic. They are known to be built for endurance, meaning that they run about as quickly as a horse but if they keep a steady gallop they can gallop for quite a while. Felimare are not the most skilled physical fighters, being a bit clumsy in their heavy swipes, but with their horse-sized bodies they can use their size and weight as a slight advantage. However, before any fighting they will attempt to flee unless they feel like they can handle the battle. History: Libra, like any Felimare, was born in a separate dimension by her two parents and raised there, gaining magic power from the small glowing orbs that live on the thin bands of grassy land. She, alongside her older sister Sage, learned the ways of the civilized world. This was not as fun as one might expect, as Libra would try to impress her older sibling, who treated her with hostility. She had no idea why, but the young Libra blamed herself for whatever she'd done to make her sister hate her so much. Once reaching a proper age, the sisters were both sent into the more wild and dangerous world than their home dimension. Libra was quick to make friends with an odd batch of people, and together the happy-go-lucky group explored their world. She learned much about the ways of the humanoid peoples, and even more still about magic and fighting. She values her friends and family above almost everything else, and is quite happy that she can travel the world with that group of the best people she's ever met. Personality: Libra's actions are dictated by her curiosity. She has a tendency to get herself into strange situations thanks to this part of her. She doesn't dislike getting dirty, so long as she discovers something(though she'll probably complain later that her white coat is all messed up). Although curious, Libra is easily intimidated. If one was to speak harshly towards her or swipe at her, she would move away and be very quiet around that one. She is quite talkative and tries to keep conversations up if she's in a good mood. If she's not feeling so good she'd probably remain mostly quiet. Libra is still a bit naive, and she's also quite innocent in that she can easily be manipulated. Being so inexperienced, she can fall for an ill-willed liar's tricks pretty easily. Continuing, she values friendship more than most other things, and if she does something to make a friend upset she'd probably be very upset with herself. If startled, Libra tense to tense up. Fear, to her, is paralyzing and she'd probably just become a sitting duck. Hopefully one could get her moving, at which she would be able to bolt from the area. Powers: Libra mainly uses magic, for many things. She uses magic for communication while a Felimare, using a telepathic connection to speak to people. If they can also use telepathy, they can reply through this connection, otherwise they'd have to speak aloud. Libra's magic can be used to heal, though she's pretty bad at healing magic and the greatest thing she could fix would probably be a small cut. For more offensive magic, Libra can use fairly simple spells such as sending a bolt of magic energy at a target or shifting the ground under an enemy's feet to sink him into the ground a bit. As for defensive, Libra has next to no spells besides the most basic of shields that can deflect simple magic. Physical attacks, for Libra, involve heavy claw swipes and strong kicks with her hindlegs. She can bite and conduct magic through her canines, or swipe with a magic boost to deal a more serious blow. She can use her size to crush enemies much smaller than her, or use her entire weight to off-balance an enemy larger than she is. Libra can also be used as a mount for most peoples, which can work in in the party's favor. This does open a downside, for if an enemy climbs on her back she can't do much about it besides roll, which is dangerous for Libra because it exposes her belly. *Libra can use a transformation spell to change her physical body into a human, but this is not wise for Libra because she passes out from the amount of magic this uses. She will usually stay unconscious for thirty minutes before waking up if she's left to gather her strength back without aid. In her human 'form' Libra's magic is greatly weakened, and as a bonus she is next to useless in a physical fight. She's a weak 14-year-old, what would've been expected? Appearance: Felimare~lol Felimare's old name Her height is that of a large horse, and she's a tad chubby for a Felimare. Human~bare with me here i'm horrible at drawing humans Libra is about 5 foot 5 inches as a human, and while she still has some weight on her it remains a healthy weight. ooc: *hides and cries?* |

Name: Bobo Geraleo Dilla
Gender: Male Age: 22 Race: Kiralovast (ICE) -Each Kiralovast has a specific elemental type that they get from birth. That certain element determines their blood color, eye color, skin color, ect. (you’ve seen the weird blue all over him) -Each one is proficient with their element, but isn’t limited to them. They can learn other elements but they can’t: +Learn the opposite element. +Learn more than 3 other elements +Be as proficient as their native element. -This race is usually tall. None (other than Drake >.>) are below 5’9’’. Highest they can be is 7’ and average is 6’5’’. -Their ears are pointed. (i dunno what more to put here) -They have “markings (they aren’t really markings, its just their blood.)” under their eyes, on their ears and on their noses. -Since their power comes from their blood, blood loss is deadly. Losing blood makes them weaker, magically. They die quicker than humans when it comes to blood loss. -Their magic is uncontrollable. They’re useless without their gloves since the gloves help them control their magic better. Without the gloves, their power of magic is determined by two things: Their emotions (how intense they are) Their environment -Kiralovast have a two types of forms: +Elemental Form +Heroic Form (only chosen heroes have this form) In Elemental Form, defense is sacrificed for attack power and speed. In order to activate, the must be in the environment that gives them strength. For example, Bobo can active his in a snow storm, or hail. If they manage to survive, they pass out afterwards in exhaustion. Heroic Form activates at will, and acts similar to Elemental Form, but it a Physical-based Form while Elemental Form is a Magical- based. This form is strictly for the Heroes only. -Kiralovast can speak common, but they can’t read it well enough. Appearance: http://25.media.tumblr.com/717...tdpm6o1_500.jpg History: Bobo was raised near the outskirts of the city. He and his two other siblings, Donavin and Casey. Bobo’s parents, Geraleo and Asylum, left home to complete their mission that they have had when Casey was one. They have had this mission since the day they were born, alongside two others; but once they left, they never returned. Bobo, and what was left of his family, left to see Sheila, an old friend of Asylum. She took care of them, until Bobo was old enough to support them on their own. Bobo moved to the city of Polark. They found an apartment in the middle of the city, near the Citadel. Bobo had many jobs around the area, mostly work like heavy lifting and delivery. He earned enough to support them minimally, but he knew he wanted to do more. The Citadel had openings for the Knighthood, and so Bobo took the opportunity. Bobo passes the Exam and is accepted as a Knight, along with three other friends, Jack, Tiger and Arter. Each with their own reason, Bobo spent most of his knighthood chasing down thieves and others who cause disturbances in the city or area. Personality: Don’t let his element fool you, he’s not chill. Yes, he can be, but so can any other person who is calm. When he get’s angry, he gets angry and usually that anger gets the best of him. The dude is pretty blunt and serious most times, and other times he’s just a goofball. He’s a hard-worker, likes a challenge and a good fight. Bobo is a pretty nosy mofo, he has a burning curiosity when something is in his interest, like information on others or subjects of his interest. He is in no way a nice person, especially to thieves. He has a soft spot for children, his family, women, and friends. If he doesn’t hate you, he’ll do what he can to protect you. Knight code. He has very high morals and etiquette, he gives people the respect they deserve, like how he thinks thieves don’t deserve anything. Okay, so let’s talk about how much Bobo hates thieves. He hates the idea of theft. Stealing one person’s hard earned belongings is a very big no no. He will, and I repeat, he will try and kill you, or nearly kill you. He doesn’t like them at all, he thinks of them very lowly. Like spiders. He hates those too, but not as much as thieves. No one really knows why he hates them, and the only response he can give is, “I just hate them, okay?” Now lets talk about fears. There are a few things he fears: spiders, fire, heat, heights, flying, speed, the fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you (not really), dying (who doesn’t?), ghosts, and needles. Do I need to say much further? Powers/Weapons: Bobo was the elemental power of Ice. He is very proficient in it, and he was born with that proficiency. He can’t control it though, he needs his gloves for that. He has the ability to heal, but it is very basic and can’t heal others without fatiguing the user. Speaking of his glove, its a catalyst to his powers but also has other uses. It carries his weapon which is “The Guardian,” a hammer. Finally the gloves let him activate his Hero form, Knight Mode. It’s basically where his defenses and survivability are sacrificed for attack and speed. He has another form, a racial form, Elemental form. It’s basically the same as Hero Form, but stats can vary.

*Double-Post 'Cause I feel like it*
Accepted AB!!!! After 13 days, we begin! You awake on the sidewalk of a main road in a large city(*NOTE - We are all at different parts of the city). The buildings are all white-washed mud or clay of sorts with smooth walls and blue roofs. A few even have mosaics decorated the side. Most are multiple storied with at least half a dozen windows on each level. You're not sure why you're here or hw you got here; this city is unfamiliar to you. But one things sticks in your mind: Find the Queen. You're not sure why you have to do this task or who gave it to you, but you decide to follow it through. You see an armored person standing nearby; most likely a royal guard. You decide to ask him about the Queen. ~~~ Ayla heaved herself up from the cobblestone ground, shaking her thin fur free of dust, dirt, or any other sediments that might be littered across the road. She stretched her small wings, extending them way out and pulling them back to her normal position for them. They were more of a burden than a help, considering she hadn't been able to use them since she was 9. They don't grow anymore, after all. The guard standing nearby hadn't taken notice of her. That was strange to Ayla, considering most people noticed her in the cities she had been to. It was strange, but so was this mysterious city, so she shrugged the worry away. She decided she'd approach the guard about her current predicament.

Darin, in his gryphon form, got up and looked at his surroundings. It appeared to be neither the village in which he came from nor the woods in which he hunted, but rather a city. 'Find the queen.' the thought lingered in his mind. 'Queen? Was this an elven city?,' he thought to himself. As he noticed the large armored creature, he quickly realised that this was no elven city. It appeared to be a dragon (or similar creature) and seemed to be dressed like an guard. In his land, dragons often kept to themselves and certainly weren't used as guards. 'Find the queen.,' the thought came to him again. He wasn't sure where exactly he was, but knew that this "guard" would likely provide the answer. Seeing as how this city appeared to be run by (or at least friendly to) beasts, he opted against shifting to his elven form. Instead, he walked up to the guard as is.

Libra let out a yawn, which was interrupted by a sneeze. While she normally would have rolled over and considered going back to sleep, something was different today. The ground felt hard and rocky, and it smelled very strange, far unlike the large ferns she'd heaved herself onto the previous night. Not only that, but the air felt far different from where she'd been just yesterday! That's not even mentioning the smells and sounds she was hearing around here. What in the name of Estrillus had happened? The Felimare grumbled, lifting her head and lazily cracking open an eye.
'...Okay, that's definitely not where I went to sleep.' she let her mouth sag open a bit as her wide eyes raked across the pale-colored buildings and light blue roofs. Her body went stiff as surprise gripped her, and her ears perked forward with intense curiosity. Questions rolled through her mind one after the other: How'd she get here? Who lived here? Was she welcome? Where were Dioge and Delilah and the idiot brothers? Maybe they'd gone into town? The only way to answer these questions was, of course, to head inside. Libra awkwardly rolled around on her side, trying to stand properly. It took a couple minutes of floundering about before the horse-cat creature could get to her paws, and then another battle with gravity to lift up onto all fours. She gave the fur on her chest a quick lick, then shook out her body to wake herself up. Dust flew from her coat in a cloud, which caused another sneeze to force itself from her nose. Thankfully, after that there didn't appear to be any obvious dirt on her bright white coat. 'I should find the queen of this city...' came the strange thought to Libra's mind, and to this the animal blinked and angled one of her ears backwards. How strange, she had no clue why she felt this way. But, for some reason, her gut was telling her it was something she should listen to. Besides, it would be an excuse to look around this beautiful place! That simply wasn't an excuse she could pass up. Glancing around, the Felimare's eyes landed on some weird scaled creature with obvious sharp spikes, large crests, and leathery wings. At first, Libra thought he was a statue, but then the thought of 'why would they put one out in the middle of the road?' came to mind and shoved the previous idea out the window. She decided it best to just try to talk to it, and hope it wouldn't try to eat her. With this somewhat unsettling idea of being eaten in mind, Libra swished her tail and began walking towards the scaled creature. Her steps slowed down as a feeling of dread filled her stomach and anxiety caused her fur to fluff up a bit. But she still walked over to the scaled creature and chirped with her telepathy. “Um, hello!” Libra carefully tried to get the creature's attention, waving her tail into the air like a flag for a moment in case she wasn't obvious enough. She had to hope this thing wouldn't be aggressive. |

Bobo opened his eyes slowly, vision blurred, almost as though he passed out. All he could see was white, and blurred details.
‘Huh?’ Before he could figure out what the hell was going on, the first thing that went through his minds was: 'Find the Queen.' 'Find the Queen? What? What is that supposed to mean? Wait… Where am I?!' Bobo shot up. His mouth and hand where he rested his head where covered in drool. He wiped if off himself and looked around. He scanned the area, seeing if his city was just painted white or something idiotic. That didn’t make sense in the slightest, not at all. Why would they paint the city WHITE?! 'I don’t know where the hell I am. Better ask around, maybe it’s just a dream. I hope so, and I wonder why I passed out. And why did I pass out on the sidewalk? What am I? Some kind of homeless man begging for change to get my fix at the liquor store? What the-' His thought process was immediately halted as he saw the man in armor. Maybe he was a fellow Knight? He was also a knight, so maybe he could ask him where he was. Hopefully he wasn’t too far from Polark. Desiano is a pretty big place. “Fellow Knight! I’m Knight Bobo Geraleo Dilla,” Bobo said as he bowed, to show that he was also a part of the Knights, even if he didn’t look it (being passed out on the sidewalk and all), “I’m from the Polark Forces, and I was wondering if I could know the name of the city I passed out in?” Bobo looked around. After a second glance, it didn’t look anything like the city. It was a lot more low tech then anything. Rural? The place looks so expansive, it couldn’t rural. It looks like a kingdom from the fairy tales! ‘Where exactly am I?’

@shorty - The heavily armored dragon looked down at Kash-Kash. Typical Farmer Dog, He thought. Probably from the plains.
"What do you need, farm scum?" He sneered. As a Royal Guard, and member of Her Majesty's Army, he was always higher in the social order than the puny farmers from the plains. He could treat them anyway he wanted to, and no one could say a word. @redwes - The dragon swung his head towards Darin, surprised to see such a large person before him. Most of the citizens were smaller than him; the guards were usually the biggest in the city. He was also shocked to see a gryphon. He knew the half-eagle, half-lion creatures swooped from peak to peak in the mountains far across the land, but they never ventured into the city. The guard had been officially a guard for a meer three days. He was still young. He had not been outside the city since he was just a young dragonet; years ago. He had never met any gryphons before. He loved meeting new people. And so, trying to mock the puffed out chest and high head-ed position he had seen his uppers do, he said, "Gryphon. I though you all didn't come into the city. What do you need?" @CinderLover - The guard caught sight of the large brown-and-white waving back-and-forth like the pennents that stood on the tops of the towers of the castle. The dragon pivoted in the direction of this creature. What she saw, amazed her. Standing before her was a creature unlike any other she had ever seen. It had the frontal appearance of one of the small mountain cats that visited the city every now and then, but large. It's back-end and head were that of a Unicorn. The guard was astounded by this creature's surprising beauty. "What do you need?" She said, hiding her awed expression behind one of authority and power. @AngelicBeast - The large dragon watched Flame approach out of the corner of his eye. He had never seen creature of his kind; so pale-skinned with no fur or scales, standing on two feet, with arms and huge ears. This made him curious. He knew that the best way approach creatures with claws like this one, was lightly. He decided he try to humor him. "Hey buddy, looks like you could use a bit more sun!" He said, taking note of the creature's white skin. He knew that dragons' scales got darker in the sun, so it must've been the same for whatever covered this dude's body; and it looked like this creature lived his whole in some kind of, dark realm. The people of Caerulys, especially this close to the harbor, spent lots of time outside. @BoboDilla - The bipedal dragon turned his at the call of this knight. He was taken a-back by the lack of scales and armor on this 'knight's' body and the large tuft of fur on his scalp. But he did say he was a knight, and no matter what species, all knights were respected beings who were not to be taken lightly. "This here city is Caerulys, 'Blue City', as some people like to call it," He said enthusiasticly. He loved this city; it was his home, after all. ~~~ The guard glanced down at Ayla as the small, dragon-like girl approached him. He grunted to signal for her to stop. "What do you need?" He said in a deep, scratchy voice, with an evident tone of authority backing up his blunt-ness. Ayla was a littled taken a-back by his words. But she supposed it was a normal response for a complete stranger. "What is this place, good sir?" Ayla had always been taught to highly respect people of authority. "You're not from these parts are you?" The guard asked with a slight tone of amusement. "That's not what I asked," Ayla replied with a complete straight face. Delegation had been a skill drilled into her young mind the whole 13 years she spent on the mountain tops. "What is this place?" The looked a little surprised to see such firm-ness from a little girl like the one before her. A small smile grew on his face. The dragon always loved to see power and strength in young ones like Ayla. "You're a tough nut, aren't you? This Caerulys, the capital city of Amyte." Ayla looked straight in the eyes of the guard before her. She smiled, but kept the look of authority in her eyes. "That's better, isn't it?" A thought came to Ayla's mind again. Find the Queen. "Now, good sir, could you please point me in the direction of the castle?" Ayla asked, keeping the same glance on her face. The guard stopped smiling. "Why do you need to go to the castle?" The guard inquired, returning to his former air of authority. "I have to see the queen," Ayla replied. "Isn't that the only reason one would need to visit a castle?" "These are troubling times, young girl." The guard replied. "For the past few days, the queen just hasn't been herself. I know something's up." Ayla realized that was probably why she was called here. The guard shook away the thoughts, and nodded in the direction of southeast. "The castle's that way. Just follow this road. It's huge; you can't miss it. It's right up against the sea." Ayla simply nodded in thanks. She did an about-face, and began on her way to the castle.

@shorty - The guard took a step back. No one had ever talked to him like that. No one, talked to him like that. He leapt forward towards the small dog. "You listen here, you little g-" "Aspyr!" A voice shouted. The guard turned to see his commander, marching angrily down the street toward him. Aspyr could practically see the smoke coming from his commandent. He knew he was in trouble. And so Kash-Kash was left there alone, as Aspyr was hauled away by his commandent to serve his punishment. It was against the Code of Coduct for a guard to leap at a citizen unless at least three witnesses say said citizen attacked. Everyone around had seen what happened, and told only the truth.

Darin could tell that the guard was somewhat nervous, though he wasn't sure why. "My apologies if I surprised you..." The gryphon nodded slightly in an attempt to show respect to the authority of the city. "I was merely wondering, what city is this?," Darin continued.

Libra smiled, quite happy this scaled creature didn't appear to want to devour her whole. She brought her legs squarely under her, lifting her head high in a similar manner as to how the guard did. After all, the Felimare wanted to be polite! She continued speaking into the being's mind, swishing her tail in a pleased way.
“Well, you see, I've never been here before and I have this weird feeling like I simply must visit a queen. Would you happen to know where that is? Is it somewhere in this area?” Her voice chirped cheerily, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. Libra still wasn't entirely sure what a queen was, exactly, but it still felt very important. And gut feelings were normally right, so going to find it couldn't hurt to at least try. After that she could try to find her way back to Dioge and the others...somehow. |

@redwes - "This is Caerulys," The guard replied. "Capital of the beautiful world Amyte. I take it you're not from around here?" The guard had a strange feeling the gryphon was from another world. Probably more of Her Majesty's Antics, He thought.
@CinderLover - The guard looked surprised. Most visitors would want to be directed to some of Caerulys' legendary landmarks; The beautiful fountain at the exact center of town, the ancient temple on the outskirts, the beautiful, rocky beaches; not the castle. She shrugged the worry away. Worries could kill a person, she knew. "Well, ma'am," She politely began. 'You're pretty far from the castle. It's on the opposite end of town. Just follow this road we're on now, and when you get to the big, main road, take a left. Follow that road all the way down. It's along the coast." The guard began to turn away, when she realized that this cat/horse creature had been asking about a queen. "Oh, by the way. A queen is a lady who rules a kingdom. She lives in a castle." The guard turned away and began following her line of sentry. Only then did she realize that the whole time the cat/horse talked to her, it never once moved it's lips.

Libra blinked. Oh, so that was what a queen was? That was kinda' cool, she thought to herself, though it sounded like a really hard job. She nodded her head after the nice scaled thing, and turned in the direction the guard had indicated. Setting a swift trot as her pace, Libra began to make her way down the road with hooves clopping against the ground and pawpads letting off tiny thumps as she went. As the Felimare trotted her way along the road, her head turned up to marvel at the buildings. Being fairly unfamiliar with anything other than walls of stone blocks and thatch roofs, Libra was awed by the painted stone walls and shining glass windows.
Libra's eyes gleamed as she paused at a house, taking a moment to look at the bright blue shards that decorated its side. Its decorative, intense blue caused her to just stare in awe. She couldn't deny the mosaic's beauty was dazzling to one such as herself. However, the nagging thought of this queen-woman shoved itself back into the front of her mind. How bothersome! She pouted a bit upon thinking of not gawking at the art a bit more, but she took off once again to the direction that guard had said to go in. |

"Thank-you...,' Darin replied before walking off towards the east. As he gradually made his way towards the castle, he admired the buildings. He was awed by the mosaics and the city in general. Having lived his whole life in ether a village or the nearby woods, he rarely went into cities. He vaguely remembered going to an elven city once or twice, but the details were sparse. In any case, he obeyed that nagging thought and continued onwards.

“Caerulys, huh?”
Bobo looked around. Seeing if other people from the races he’s seen his city were here. Most of the people looked strange and didn’t seem to look like the people from his city. They were mostly animal-looking. Maybe they are just different because of region? Who knows? All he knew was that he was in a foreign place, surrounded by foreign people, not knowing where he got there or why. He tried to recall how he might have got there, but drew blanks. He decided on asking the guard nearby on how he got there. “Hey, my fellow comrade, could you tell me how I got here? I can’t seem to remember yesterday.” He couldn’t recall anything that happened yesterday, and it was driving him nuts. All he could recall is someone saying: Find the Queen.

@shorty - The jackalope tilted his head down, pointing his antlers off in the distance. "A castle is where the Queen lives and makes all the decisions for the kingdom. Our castle's that-a-way." He indicated the direction his antlers were pointing.
@AngelicBeast - The Dragon was a little reluctant to tell a complete stranger the whereabouts of the Queen and the castle and all of Amyte's riches. But this creature was shy, and confused so he doubted he cause much harm to the Queen. Plus, the Queen was very powerful, so a small kid like this couldn't do anything to her. "The queen's in the castle, where she always is. She can't leave, you see. Just head southwest." The guard then realized that this creature probably didn't know which way was which. "Just follow this road till it ends. Make a right, then make turn at the very first left you come across. You'll reach the main highway. The Castle'll be right there!" The guard was about to return to his normal duties, when he remembered Flame had asked him another question. "I'm not sure what the 'Realms' are, but this Caerulys, capital of Amyte." --- The castle was a large building, made up of three tall towers in spiral-ish form, going from smallest to largest, that met at a huge, grand hall building, and two mirrored buildings with bell towers on either side of the front two towers. There were flying buttresses supporting the towers, that rose from the two buildings. Bridges connected each tower. The tops of the surrounding wall and the towers were all the same sea blue as the buildings' roofs in the city. The castle had an overall beautiful shape and color that gave it the appearance of the wave slamming into the hard rocky coast on the opposite side of the castle. ~~~ Ayla was taken back in shock. The beautiful castle before her seemed to slosh and splash against the walls that defended it. It reminded her of the the ocean waves hitting the hard rocky cliffs of the northeastern shores back in her homeland. It was nothing like the castle in her homeland's capital. Ayla shook away the moment of awe and continued forward to the large portcullis that marked the entrance to the castle grounds. She noticed two more guards, except these weren't dragons, like the one she had encountered just few minutes earlier. These two were what seemed to be a cross between the tiny beetles and the mythilogical creature 'Rhinoceros' from her homeland, that was said to be larger than any dragon in the land and possessed natural armor and a huge horn extending from their forehead. These guards stood vertical, with thick armor like one giant shield on their back. They were a dark, dark blue, and they had 6 thick 'arms', two of which were used as feet. They had a giant, thick sword-like object on their forehead. As Ayla approached, they swung their heads in and formed an 'X' with their 'swords' to block her passage. "Ah, boys, there's no need to do that," Ayla said with a smile on her face. "I mean you no harm." One of the two grunted. The other responded. "No one gets through to the queen without a letter of authority." Ayla wasn't sure if it was some kind of sorcery or just a huge coincidence, but a rolled-up parchment carried by the wind appeared at her feet. She picked it up with her mouth and placed it in the guards extended hand. "There it is," Ayla said, keeping a completely straight face. A little white lie wasn't her biggest worry right now. "I seemed to have misplaced it."

“Who is this person? Where could I find-“
Bobo stopped as the message went through his mind once more: Find the Queen. “Uh, where could I find this person?” ‘Why do I get the feeling that this person might be the queen.’ Bobo tried to keep the thought out, as it was even interfering with his own speech. This was no ordinary place, and somehow he knew he wasn’t home. Everything felt different, foreign, other-worldly. As though he wasn’t even in the same planet. But he had to, how else could he have gotten here?

It didn't take long for Darin to make his way towards the bustling main road. He looked to his left for moment and saw the rest of the city. 'Wow... this city is huge. Not surprising though, seeing as how this is the capital of this so called "Amyte",' he thought to himself. He then turned right and headed towards the castle. It was quite impressive and could almost be considered a work of art. He wondered if Elven cities looked like this. In any case, he began to walk towards the guards. The guards seemed quite intimidating and he hoped he would be able to get past them. That nagging thought came to thought yet again. He would have to get past them. Perhaps the seemingly rare occurrence of gryphons showing up in town would help in that matter. At least, that was what he was getting off of the nervous guard. He continued onwards and stopped when the two guards' "horns" formed an "X". "I need to see the queen at once. I have important business with her," he said to the guards. He then waited for their response.

Libra trotted her way up the road, making her way from the side road to the main street in the city. There, she let her legs take her up that road and straight to the gates. The sun shining down on her white pelt warmed her body and about this she was pleased. The Felimare hummed a tune in her head as she went, an old tune Dioge would hum while they walked down the road. She felt a certain feeling of content filling her up, as if with the sun shining and the light walls of the city around her she was safe and happy.
'CLANG!' Libra snapped open her eyes and took a pace back, shocked by two creatures standing in front of a gate of sorts. They appeared to have six limbs, and were an exceedingly dark blue in color, and they were about the same height if not a bit shorter than the Felimare. They had what looked like a large plate on their backs that would protect them, and a huge curved horn in the center of each of their foreheads. The pair had their horns crossed in a way that would deny Libra access through the gate. She looked at the two creatures, blinking and tilting her head with confusion. Having not seen anything like these two before, she had to wonder if they could talk. Twitching her ears, she waited to see if they would say anything of if they would just stand there drooling. |

@CinderLover, redwes - The guard's swung their horns together to form a giant 'X', blocking access for the gryphon and the cat/horse thing before them. They never really liked doing this motion, as it made them dizzy, but they were drilled to always do this when strangers approached the gate. They really had no choice.
"Letter of Authority," The one on the right grunted. The other extend one of his arms out toward Darin and Libra, bringing his hand just about 7 or 8 inches from the Felimare's head. "No entry without one," The speaker continued.
