Just wanted to let you guys know that EB Games in Canada will be getting Polar Whirlwind within a week, the manager of my local EB told me that they received an email about it today and it said to expect them as early as Saturday. I know I will be asked for proof / pics or it never happened. I do not have any of that but I would encourage you to call your local EB Games and inquire about it. If I get mine before there are a million pictures from other people who got it I will post pics. I assume it will arrive in the US soon seeing as we are almost always behind in Canada.


Edit, As people have posted Polar Whirlwind is now out in Canada. I expect that a US release is very close.

Very nice info, I don't need her now since i already have one from Europe but who knows i might get another one and leave it in the box as collection.

Frankly, at this point, it would surprise me more to find out this were false. I'm going to give this one the benefit of the doubt, simply because the product in question is so overdue on this side of the Atlantic. In any case, here's hoping.

Yeah it is way overdue, it's been a decent stretch here in Canada recently though. We finally got the SSA sideicks at EB Games a short while ago along with Scarlet Ninjini, today (atleast in my area) we got Lightcore Pop Fizz and Chill and very soon Polar Whirlwind. Hopefully Lightcore Hex and S2 Drobot will show up soon. I find the releases to be way to spread out with Skylanders, honestly I'm done with Giants, I'm sure I'll play through again one day but I would like to have had all of the characters before I was finished with it.

Well I believe you to because I was talking to a eb games employee and he said they would be getting them very soon even Saturday.

I've called three reliable EB locations, none of them get shipments Saturdays (and they aren't on today's delivery). None of them know anything either.

Either way i assume she will be hitting canada and usa in June. I cant see why they wouldnt release ehr till july.

I called Eb Games and they also say they don't know anything about Polar Whirlwind, they say that activision don't really tell them of what they ship out

I'm disappointed at our lack of Molten/Jade, and it really drags my hunting excitement down. I'm now worried about wether we're going to get Polar because she's the only non-game variant I want(besides Gnarly, who is just way too much of a hassle)...

I don't get why it's expected to come to North America.

Did Glow in the Dark Fright Rider ever make it here? True everything else did, so does that mean Activision listened to our complaints?

I always considered glow in the dark stuff like the flocked items just a tad easier to find (minus the ones from ssa). The actual variants that change in game like gnarly, molten, scarlet etc i think will get everywhere one way or another.

I'll go ahead and say this, as someone is bound to eventually... There is a BIG difference between Polar and Glow Blow. Polar actually appears the way the figure does in-game. Glow Blow is just marked as "Special". Polar may be a different palatte form of Whirlwind, but it is still as good as a different character as far as the game is concerened. Not much special about Glow Blow other than the figure glowing in the dark.

In-Game variants are much more likely to appear everywhere than non-game ones. There's a reason they use non-game variants for the convention exlucsives and things like that, because they are only special to the collectors who would want them in the first place. Glow Blow makes a bad example of why Polar wouldn't appear everyhwere. Dark Spyro single is a better example, and even then not by that much as he was still released everywhere through the SSA 3DS starter.

Random side note: I would kinda like to get a GiTD Fright Rider and name him "Glow Blow" in the game.

Speaking of in-game variants being released everywhere, was there any news on Royal being released outside the US? (I live in the US so it doesn't effect me, I'm just waiting to upgrade my phone first. I just think its fair that everyone gets every figure. Especially if my over seas friends start playing.) Maybe a Royal single pack like SSA got for Dark? I'm sure to check GameStop several times in the next 3 weeks for Polar. I'll try to report anything I find. (I don't know how pics or etc. work here so you'll have to take my word, sorry.)

I doubt that there will ever be. It's been about six months...

Wow i didn't expect that Polar Whirlwind would be exclusive to any store, so shes Gamestop/Eb Games exclusive very nice

Does she not have the black eyeliner around her eyes?? The ones from Amazon Italy came with black eyeliner and eyelashes around the eyes...? Hmm... Not sure if I want Polar or not. I have normal Whirlwind. Variants are nice, but I haven't been really actively collecting them (Scarlet is my only one.)

I found 2 polar's at eb games in red deer today! Bought one for me, and one as a gift for my brother in law. I already wasted my money on one from the UK though.....UHG.
