The Prophecy was wrong! Two purple dragons were born in the last year of the dragon, but there was only supposed to be one!

If you look at this pic:


you can clearly see that Cynder is purple too! What do you think of this?

Cynder's NOT purple, she's black. They made it look like she's purple when the new developers are making this game, but she REALLY isn't. She was black in ANB and TEN, and she still is.

Cynder is a black dragon like she was in ANB and TEN. It's probably just something to do with the light.

Cynder is black haven't you been paying attention to the last two games.

She's grey-black in ANB/TEN, and blue-black in DotD. It's the lighting that makes her appear kind of purple. And she doesn't look purple to me.

well in the little vid in ANB when you defeat the train cynder looks super black but when you fight her in ANB shes gray

Eh, she always looked more grey in the in-game cutscenes.

Maybe it's my eyes, but she looks seriously purple to me.

She is not purple.

I think that she is either dark purple or blue.
But in the DotD pic it looks purple to me... a very dark shade or so.

mabey she was a purple dragon and cause the dark master corrupted her she went black! (i said mabey. don't have a hissy fit!)

Her egg was black in ANB when Gaul took her during the Temple Raid, so that makes her black.

Black is NOT black. It's the darkest any color can get. Besides, Cynder may just look like that because of the lighting, which could mean Spyro is giving her SCALES a tint of purple, or it could be because of her age.

She's black. But in Spyro the Dragon: Wings of Fury minigame she looks purple.

You all say it is the light in that pic, but look at the Generator pic. There is no light interference and it is modeled after the new look of DotD.
You can see a hint of purple here too:

But she's still not as purple as Spyro. It's just the way she's shaded, that's all - artists for any medium often tend to do that to make them look less like a shadow or something.

^Yeah, I agree with you. Sometimes the way figures are shaded can get people confused with colors.

well maybe we she aged (got older* her color change a little but she is still the same clolr plain black

Yes! You are either colour blind, have bad vision or have a bad resolution monitor if you can't see that she is purple. It would make sense for her to be purple coz only a purple dragon is supposed to be able to use multiple breath abilities.

Her real color is black, end of story. It's just the shading of her body that makes her purple in DotD. Do you pay attention to Cynder in the first two games of the trilogy? She was black in both of them.

I think she was only black in ANB and TEN coz she was corrupted and then still trying to work the evil out of her system.

People have been saying that she absorbed her powers from the DM when he filled her with his dark magic. So whos to say that her color couldn't have changed a little after three years of being trapped in a crystal made by Spyro? If you don't want believe that Cynder is dark purple fine but I still say she is undeniably purple in the generator pic and you can't say it's from lighting or something else in the area.

Could be. If she turns out to be purple after all I will laugh at everyone who disagreed with me, regardless of weather or not it had anything to do with the story or her powers.

Her egg was black even when NOT corrupted! Couldn't you see that in ANB? She is BLACK. She may have some lighting of purple but she isn't a purple dragon.

The only purple I can see in that last picture linked was on Spyro, Cynder just looks black.

Lets just say Etranges Libellules wanted to give Cynder more of a pizazz look.

Well, she is a teenager in DotD. The new developers, Estranges Libellules, are the ones who designed her to look purple-ish, and not black.

She is black. How could they explain her transforming into a purple dragon? It would contridict EVERYTHING they said. Her egg was black. Black egg = Black dragon.

And is she was purple, I would...Well, I don't know what I'd do. But it wouldn't be good! It is the Legend of Spyro, not the Legend of Spyro & Cynder.
