Well, it's good that we get Gnarly Tree Rex. I would prefer getting him on Evilbay because it might be cheaper.

Well, count me in for 3 of him. 2 to open, 1 to keep sealed. However, on the 2 I open, I will sell the 2 Wii systems minus the games for like 75 bucks.

i would advice people to wait for the ps3 or the wii-u or x360 version with gnarly... the skylanders giant run much better on one of these consoles in hd..

I may consider this bundle. I don't need a Wii, but maybe I can sell that and the game to recoup most of my money. Holding out for the Wii U version.

That is incredibly lame and stupid how you can't even get a full collection unless you buy a console just to get a figure.

Also,you guys sound a lot like WhirlwindDragon used to,did AUS get L-Stealth Elf?No.

My son decided he would give up his Portal Owner Starter pre-order at TRU for this bundle, so he can have his own Wii in his room. He understands that he will have to wait longer to play Giants, but considers this a good trade off.

To make certain that his plan will work, I called my TRU. We have good electronics associates, who are quite knowledgeable.

The employee I spoke with confirmed that this bundle does exist. Here's all the bad news:

1. There is no way to change a pre-order for the Portal Owners Starter into a reservation for this bundle.
   
2. This is a very limited package for the holidays.
   
3. In fact, stores will only be getting a few (2-4) packages each, if...
   
4. ...they get any at all. Some stores simply will not get this package.
   
5. There is no way for them to tell if they will get the package or not.
   
6. They can not reserve the package in any way.
   
7. Because it is limited, they can not transfer this package from another store.
   
8. The only way to try and get it is to be at the store at opening on 11/4. If they get them, you might be able to buy one.
   

If they are really so limited, I'll guess we will see them showing up on eBay, and few will actually make it on to store shelves.

It was suggested that we go ahead and pick up the preorder on Sunday as planned. Buy the deals and get whatever exclusives and swag are available. Don't open the package and bring it back to exchange on 11/4 if they happen to get the bundle. This is our current plan.

I am at a complete loss to understand the thinking behind allowing pre-orders for these games but announcing so many damn exclusive and variant packages so close to the release date! Seriously! What the hell Activision/retailers?!?

I want this but my family already has 2 wii's, plus why would they make a wii bundle if wii u releases like the same time this bundle releases? FAIL.

The PS3 with Gnarly isn't exclusive to any store overseas, and I don't expect this system to be exclusive to TRU.

honestly i hope they do a 3DS XL bundle like this with blue tree rex........ cause i am going to pick 3DS XL this Christmas. =)

so when your son wants skylanders3 next year you are gonna buy a new console for him yet again??... buy the ps3 bundle and you can play skylanders3 on it next year... the ps3 will be supported with new games 5 more years at least... the wii is a dead end..

The Wii may be dying off in term--- actually it's not. 20th Annidition Kirby anyone? The Wii U is obviously gonna be successful... GameStop can't preorder them anymore...

Kirby's Adventure came out right near the end of the NES's life style, same with super nintendo, nintendo 64, and I think the Gamecube.
Nintendo releases the main Kirby games really late in the console's lifetime, thinking that it's being passed from older siblings down to the younger sibling. Basically they assume the older sibling is going to be getting the next console for themselves.
It's a fairly effective marketing strategy actually, and Kirby is still popular all these years, so I think it's working.

That's just not right.

I wish it came with a PS3. I already have a Wii and I don't want a crappier version of the Wii.

it is cheaper now yes.. but you buy a console like wii that is not gonna give you many new games anymore because it is on the last leg.. so what you gonna do in 2013 when skylanders3 comes out??.. you gonna buy a wii-u??... if so now you have bought the wii and wii-u for double the price of a ps3... good luck with that. be smart buy the ps3 it have good online features and 5 more good years for future skylanders games...
