So since The Wal-Mart is 24 hrs. When are they putting out the Giants stuff? Should I try to go at midnight or just go early that morning? Say around 730 or 8. Any Wal-Mart employees with the inside dish?


I would go and ask my local Wal-Mart employees. But I have a pretty good feeling they will look at me like I'm stupid or roll their eyes at me.

Mine said they might not have everything put out at midnight but that I can go at midnight and they will sell me whatever they have (even if it hasn't been put out yet).

depends on the walmart, my walmart told me they will have nothing on display until Sunday around 9am. They don't have enough staff. The guy I spoke with said that if I spoke with Manager, they might go in the back and pull whatever I am looking for from the stock room and then ring it up at midnight. I will soon find out if that will work.

This is the correct way to proceed if you want an informed answer. Ask for the electronics supervisor if no one is sure.

yeah.....target i would have no problem doing this. wal-mart.....things start getting weird. i had one associate ask me one time if i was "one of those single fathers" i said "no my wife is in the john dropping a deuce." she replied with "thank the lord. too many woman leaving their husbands." needless to say i avoid wal-mart. but they are open 24 hrs. sooo.......

Wow.. glad my walmart just have missing people... you know the type. When you're in the game section and want a game, you gotta either wait all year for a person WITH THE KEY to pop up or havr to send out a partner to hunt one down.

my walmart will be releasing the game at midnight so i am going there.

what to do what to do......i'll go ask but may just see whats going on around midnight saturday.

My local walmart said midnight, and they'll give you stuff from the back rather than putting them on shelves yet.

ive heard two stories from two wallmarts
first: midnight release with games all being sold at midnight and stock being put out throughout the day

second: " oh yeah, just tell the guy whos working on the shift to get it from the back for you after midnight"

so.... yeah...

All walmart's are 24 hrs in my area. Not sure about others.

I'm gonna go there in a few minutes. Hope to find some characters.... GIANTS!

Its the walmart in Chipley florida. Nope the manager of the electronics was there and I asked him he said "Tomorrow at midnight" meaning Right as Sunday arrives.
Not sure about the others though. I mean the Giants display and all that is up and going already too.

Its all about how lucky you get with the intelligence of the employees at Wal-mart. Most times, you'll ask for the new release, look at the case, and say "Sorry, but we don't have that game" oblivious to the fact there is one or two pallets full of merch in the back. Most times I buy a game from Walmart, I've had to educate the employee at tell them the whole story before I can convince them to find the 'person with the key'. Quite honestly, it might be easier just to wait until the middle of the day, or better yet the middle of the week. If you're afraid that an item will run out of stock, its probably because they didn't ship enough and that more will be coming in the next shipment. But usually, 90% of the merch will be there the next day.

We're all excited about this game, but trust me, there will not be a line.

Walmart employees tend to be clueless much more than target and TRU. I usually avoid Walmart as much as I can.

all walmarts around me have release midnight.... i was their today and saw them put up the displays for Giants.........

My Walmart is putting out their Skylanders at midnight tonight and are beginning to sell them at 12:05 AM tomorrow. I am going to be there and be ready!

PS: I AM SOOOO EXCITED! NO PROBLEMS WITH SCALPERS BECAUSE THEY ARE PUTTING OUT OVER 60 CASES OF SKYLANDERS!!!!!!!

all i care about is Target's Granite Crusher ;3 and i be happy. =)

Went to Walmart today to ask what time they'd put the new Skylanders out tomorrow. The response...

"You sure those aren't for Tuesday? It's a Sunday release? I guess they'd be out at midnight. I better setup that case huh?"

Went to mine yesterday they had the usual display and they had only the first set of stickers for the portal master map but thats it....

Well I just got my excitement crushed. I called up the 24 hour Walmart and the guy said they aren't putting anything out until 8 AM.

Very typical. And I guess they have the right mindset. Most games do release on tuesdays.

Are only 24 hour walmarts going to be doing midnight releases? I have none by me and none of the employees seem to know anything

I was able to grab: Chill, Pop Fizz, and Fright Rider this morning from my local Wal-Mart. I guess some employee put them out early. They wouldn't scan, but I was able to get them.... self checkout
I have had the game since last Sunday and got a jump on my collecting. 8:00am Target for Granite Crusher and TRU for the legendaries . Really hope to find some variants

I'm going to try to go at about 11:30 and get some. Wish me luck!

yeah, all the ones around me are 24 hours... i have 2 within 2 miles of my house, might check them both if i'm not satisfied by the first!!

Haha. Then it's back home and up early for a TRU run. They told me I should be outside around 6am, going to be a long day...

I get out of work at 11 tonight and there is a 24 hour Wal-Mart on my way home. But I don't want to get to the store and have to wait until midnight in the electronics section at a Wal-Mart. On a final, I wish I didn't have to go to Wal-Mart period. Sigh.

This is not fun waiting. The manager keeps looking at me. Just stock it already! I am the only idiot here.

No scalpers. I think scalpers will be in force at TRU. They told me at my TRU store, it's first come first serve and no limits. This Walmart wasn't originally suppose to midnight release so maybe that's why nobody is here. It's 11:40, still waiting. They did say they are not allowed to display until exactly at midnight .

Well, i am off to walmart now.... HOORAY!!!

No limits? I probably won't go there, then.

I think a scalper just showed up. He doesn't look like someone who should be at a Walmart at midnight in the video game section. Then again, I probably don't either.
