sorry but u can't you can only preoder skylanders charcters random ones so if you preorder a giants there will be a random giants for you not a certain 1

Thanks Furry for starting a "Canada forum"! My boys are counting down the days to Skylanders. I pre-ordered my Wii game yesterday at Toys r Us and the sales associated said that when the Giants come in that people that pre-ordered will get first shot at buying the characters. He said they will be keeping them behind the counter. Interesting. He told me that EB Games at Cross Iron Mills mall in Calgary have over 300 preorders for the Giants. I can see that we will be on the "hunt" for characters again! lol. I am hoping that Costco will have the Giants. I will be in line there first as less money is better.

Here we go Canada! - keep us all informed!

Is anyone else here working on any YouTube videos? Here's my latest upload. I get the feeling that with Giants so close to release, most people won't be looking up any of the original characters. Still, there's some comedic value to these.

So here's what I know so far. (Canadian availability)

Giants Starter Pack will cost us $74.99
TRU will get the new Legendary 3-Pack
EB Games will get that 3-pack with the golden cannon

(There goes over $110.00 and that's not even counting the traditional single and 3-pack deals.)

Has anyone heard if Walmart will have that glow-in-the-dark Starter pack? What about Target's Granite Crusher?

I am keeping my eye out for the Giants Battle Arena for my boys. It looks cool. On EB Games US but not Canada yet. $39.99

i got a email from tru showing l-stealth elf so it might be day one or canadian only day one -screams for joy-

edit got back from tru they had got in a shipment for giant they where boxes. when i asked the lady there she said it was iligal to sell giants before the 21st. but i did get to see a starter pack it looks awesome. it made me hawk and awe pun intended

I went to Gamestop and TRU and neither allowed preorders on toys...

I was talking with my friend who works at EBGames yesterday, and he said their store hasn't even gotten their copies of the game yet. Not too unusual though since in my area EBGames often gets third party games in late.

I've been a loyal and frequent customer at our local EBGames for seven years now, know the staff very well, and yet I still always get treated like garbage there for reasons that are unknown to me.

I was standing in line to pre-order another Giant character, when I noticed that behind the counter on the ground were a bunch of Giant figures in the packaging! It was the first time I ever saw them in person, so I was trying to get a better look by getting on my tip-toes when the guy at the counter snapped at me and said in a raised voice "WAIT UNTIL SUNDAY!"

I said that I was just trying to look at them, and he cut me off and said "You're being really annoying! Just wait until Sunday!"

So rather than release my anger I was trying really hard to contain, I waited until it was my turn, and instead of pre-ordering a Giant, I canceled and got a refund on all four of my pre-orders I already had for Giants merchandise. That was the final straw. I had finally had enough with that store's crummy employees and decided I'd just go to Toys R Us day 1 instead. It's not like those pre-orders were worth anything anyways. They didn't let you pre-order specific characters, and it was still just first come first served, so what's the point? Just a way for EBGames to get impressive holiday sales numbers and give nothing in return for it.

so what was the point of this story?
A) to have a post in the Canada section which seems to be pretty dead
B ) to rant
and C) to wonder if this is just a me thing, or a Canada thing. Seems everywhere else people are happy to show off the new products. Technically Canada is doing the right thing, but it seems a tad extreme to snap at someone for just trying to look at them when they were out in plain sight. Though the employee in question IS a big fan of Skylanders, so it could just be that he didn't want me to know they were there so he could set them all aside for himself. >__>

It's Toys R Us day 1 for me! I feel so much better now.

i think thats a good idea not to support that store if there employies are rude, and ussaly i find that tru gets bigger shipments

Is this in Walmart or TRU?

So wat store should us canadians go to first i'm guessing TRU? I pre-ordered the EB Battle Pack so I'm good there.

Toys R Us wouldn't let me pre-order any of the legendary packs - only the starter kits. Legendaries first come first served so Toys R Us would be the place to head out to if you want legendaries.

Walmart would be the only other place to go with the Glow In The Dark Cynder. That's probably where I'll be.

I'm going to Walmart first as they open at 7:00 a.m. I called today and they said they would have them ready! Then off to EB Games as they are opening early and then to stand in line at Toys R Us! My 5 year old son is pumped! Can't believe as a mom that I am leaving my house at 6:30 in the morning to head out for skylanders!!!
