in the fist 3 spyro games : STD & GTG & YOTD he could swim and he could in ETD and in not sure about AHT anyway

In ANB he could not swim but the made him be able to fly and in TEN he could not swim ither BUT

what if spyro and cynder could swim in DOTD

whould it be a GOOD idea or a BAD idea ?

likely not as I heard in the mobile game water caused health point loss so likely not going to swim
But I think it would be great if they did even if it was just a little swim some were.

Actually he couldn't swim in STD, only in SRR, YOTD, ETD, and AHT.

I don't think he will be able to swim. If he was able to, don't you think it would have leaked out by now?

It will be pretty shocking if they can't swim actually.

i noticed in the french interview,near the end where spyro an cynder were tipping over a tree, spyro fell off the log, i saw small bit of water come up and a little splash,but his health didn't go down :/

if we can fly when ever we wan't what is the point of swimming we can just fly over the huge body of water plus if the only games he could swim in was riptos rage and year of the dragon and im not shure about any others then why would he espeshialy sense he has not can't swimm in any of the other legend games

I liked chasing the fish in the old games lol. On mobile he probably couldn't swim because they have to make the game so small. The biggest issue with swimming here is; what is Sparx going to do, jump in another bubble?

I want swimming. It was a great help in Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage and Year Of The Dragon. Remeber in YOTD where Evening Lake was totally underwater? You had to be able to swim to do anything.

yeah, swimmimg is ALMMOST as fun as flying in my opinian.

SPyro and cynders wings will be damp when thdey get out of the water, therfore, not allowing them to fly.

how do you know? hardly any games have that.

i gess some one should ask the produssers if spyro adn cynder can swim or not it's possible i just don't see why now they would have him swim when they have not before

I love the mysteries under water, they could probably make swimming eerier than they did in the old Spyro games.

It depends, swimming is relaxing and flying is intense. People that like swimming on games need to try Endless Ocean, beautiful.

flying can be relaxed too espeshialy if ur just taking a relaxing flight over a forest or somthing

Yeah they could just fly over the water. Sorry I don't think Spyro or Cynder should a swimming abiltiy.

I think they should, it would bring more of a feeling of freedom. They could make hidden areas underwater mabey.

I think swimming would only add to whats already there. The game already has alot of freedom, and it would be rather silly for two dragons to die just because they hit the water.

why would they die i mean they can fly anytime no limitation

the only reason they should die is becuse u get hit by enimeys tomainy times

Well in the last few TLOS he died if he fell in deep water and other liquids.

that was when he fell when he fainted! And most of the others were like poisen or something!

Well. not being able to touch even a little water would make this game rather bad in my opinion.

well that was other tlos and i don't think there was ever pure water and if there was there was a huge huge drop to it he would die from the fall and i don't think he would die from touching water little watter never killed him before

well if we get bored of flying (which i DEFINITELY won't ) we can swim and plus it will be fun! lets see how the can swim with those big (but awesome) wings

well if they wear to swim(i highly dought it) i don't think they would use ther wing i think they wouold prepel them slefs witht there limbs and tail

Alright, the only reason I can think of for them not to implement swimming in dotd would be because they didn't have enough time/space/planning.

Keep in mind guys, this is a next gen game, did you see the map ?
Why would they even think about including such a large body of water if all they could have spyro and cynder do was fly over it ? Kinda pointless.
To be honest, the LEAST thing I see happening with water is being able to float on it. Dying by falling in water is an old school aspect of gaming.

Anyways, we'll just have to wait and see.

Well it really depends, dragons with feather wings won't be alble to fly strait out of the water right away, since feathers are absorbent thus making the wings to heavy to fly. In spyro's case, he has skinned based wings which are much more water resistant and slide of the wing quite easily so it would be possible for him and cynder to leave the water and go back on flying, just a few flaps of their wings as they exit the water, will get the water off within seconds in midair allowing them to fly higher. Water in some ways can be seen as an advantage, water on the wings can act as a lubricant, lowering the fluid friction of the air allowing them to fly a little faster with less drag. water also helps with fire resistance, but do increase electrical damage since the conductivity of water is high for electricity. Though it would make the wings more weak allowing sharp weapons to pierce through a lot easier. ol not like that's going to happen.

Eh, I think it'd be kinda pointless. And if they could swim, don't you think the producers woulda said something about it by now?
