Well it's not really that. Toy Fair frequently sells exclusive figures and/or variations of exisiting figures as not only a extra oomph for people going to it, but also as a collectors item, which will get rare over time.

Inevitably, these will probably appear on ebay at some point. Someone will have gotten one to sell, and it'll be going for like...$300.

I'd imagine they probably cost at least the price of the figure. They don't just give them away usually.

From the looks of the person who took the picture, they had them at the Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair. Dunno if they'll have em at the NY one.

I got this from the website. "Toy Fair 2012 will take place February 12-15, 2012 (Sunday-Wednesday) at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and showroom locations. The show hours are 10:00am-6:00pm on Sunday, 9:00am-6:00pm Monday & Tuesday and 9:00am-4:00pm on Wednesday."

Spielwarenmesse Intl Toy Fair is one that just ended in Germany. There's nothing that indicates they'll have that at the one in NY yet, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I asked Dan, one of swords, if he knew how to get one. Waiting on a reply. I soo have to get one. I will not be spending more than $150 for it though.

Umm... All I can say is that cats/dogs are not as useful for chores as a child servant; they also don't taste as nice... <Eww! You can't say that!>

I can get (good) strays from the pound for next to nix so honestly don't know if you will raise sufficient funds. Especially cats - they don't fetch and expect you to be the owned rather than the owner...

There is a Korean restaurant around the corner from me, they are always looking for puppies. I happen to have one, that should get me half way to my goal. Pugs always sell, and the one cat is priceless so I am sure I wouldn't even have to sell them all.

You on the other hand, you are approaching the sale of 4 kids to support your rare figure habbit.

I'll let you in on a little secret - restaurants like that do not pay much for their produce. You honestly think that they would give much for that when they can get prime product for significantly less? How many cats go missing in the area?

Disclaimer: Given that I married in to Asian culture, I have fair game for these sorts of jokes. My auntie actually ate dog as a child, in her village, but the breed is actually specifically bred for that. I recommend people be more tolerant of the meet other cultures eat; after all many Euros eat pigeons/doves and why would you want to eat the bird of peace?

Disclaimer #2: My Euro dad also ate cat during the war when meat was scarce - it was nicknamed roof rabbit.

The trouble with 4 kids simply deciding which ones to keep. The little ones are cuter but the older ones are more helpful.

I have no problems with what people eat. I am sure at some point i have eaten horse (thank you school lunches). I have had calamari, oysters(really good), venison, and a host of other things.

Sell the older ones, your wife wont be so mad.

Meanwhile, back on topic - at least this fig is hard to counterfeit.

It is a tweet from GM78's biggest fan ( i think ) stating that it is unlikely that we will find that figure. Apparently he is at the toy fair in germany.

Not his biggest fan. They're the ones mentioning me. Well, them and websites like Destructoid and other regular Twitter users.

The fair has ended. There is no evidence that the offer will be recreated for the NY toy fair.
