in dawn of the dragon it seems as though spyro and cynder have gotten older! i mean look at the difference in DOTD and TEN. cynder's horns have gotten sharper!

You know, I don't think they really did age much. I mean, look at pictures for DotD, then look at the pictures at the end of TEN. They look pretty much the same.

I think they made Cynder a little too skinny, she don't look like she could take too many blows to be seriously injured.

They are older,by 3 years at least.I don't think they are teens,though.

I doubt anyone realized this, but he isn't any older physically in DotD. If he'd suddenly grown three years, someone would have noticed and commented on it in-game (namely, SPYRO would have noticed, at least). The teen look is due exclusively to the change in art style.

They do look older...

It's the change in art style that makes them look older. If you compare ANB/TEN Spyro and DotD Spyro when standing next to adult dragons, they're the same size. Also, no one remarked on them having grown and, if they had aged, someone would have noticed and said something. Also, also, the young dragons' personalities are the same at the start of the game as they were at the end of TEN. Let us not forget that, when the crystal shatters, it clearly shows that they were trapped in that moment in time at the end of TEN, too.

Yep, exactly! That is precisely what happened with DotD Spyro and Cynder, but no one realizes it because they goofed and changed art styles on us for literally no good reason.

Yes, Spyro and Cynder are chonologically 15, but they are still 12 physically. How do we know? Because a) they are the same size as they were and b) no one noticed them going through puberty which means they didn't.

If Krome had done DotD, Spyro and Cynder would have looked the way they do in ANB/TEN. How do we know? Because we actually got to see Krome's designs for them in silhouette and, guess what, they looked the same!

Maybe they are not literally frozen, EH? Like I said, maybe there is something strange about that Time Fury Crystal? Maybe Krome let the other guys do the designs for the sake of...uhm...REALITY.

I hate it how people who love DOTD basicly kill the people who don't like it just because they think DOTD sucks and DOTD lovers can't seem to handle that. They try to force us into like DOTD. I don't like the DotD zealots, either. People are allowed to like or dislike what they want and it's not cool to try and force them to think otherwise. DotD is not one of my favorite games (the only Spyro games I think are worse are AHT and EtD) and I have my reasons. There's nothing wrong with that, and there's nothing wrong with people who think DotD is the best game. Trying to make others see it your way in a rude way, however, is very wrong.

The idea of it is cool

They do look older to me, but Razz has a point: no one mentions them aging, and there's no explanation as to how they would have aged if that crystal was holding them in stasis.
That said, since their ages aren't mentioned in the games at all, just hinted at, everyone can have their own idea and we all have the same chance at being right. Just as an example, I think 12 is a little too young, so in my version of the timeline, they're 14 at the start of ANB, and 17-18 in DotD, whether they physically aged or not.
Of course there is one thing that hurts the theory that they did age somehow: Cynder's choker and bracelets still fit her perfectly.

It would be too awkward to control an adult dragon (if he is an adult in the next game, which would seem likely if he is, in fact, a teen) as he'd be too big and clumsly >.>
