Whatever is the new one, its almost like a claymation nightmare mixed with a really bad artist.
Only one I know of is Los. So, that makes the choice obvious.
And I had no clue there where ones before LoS.

To answer the topic question, eh, I can't really answer for the games, but appearance-wise... LoS, Original, and Skylanders.

For me, the best, the sound of your voice, speech, physical shape, small but powerful dragon structure is creative and how were the real dragons, obviously not with all those powers Spyro gets it, but if, two wings (higher extremities), four legs (lower extremities), breathes fire, flies like a bird, 2 horns, face and body of a dragon.
Classic , the classics never die
, seems a bit more aggressive, but it is great, but it is less tender.

I suppose generally speaking, the best would be the Insomniac trilogy, and then it goes down hill from there.

LOS is my favorite because the game play is like God of War and for the graphics. And also for the story line.

Classic is my second because I grew up playing them.

Classic, he's basically a combo of everything I love.

Skylanders, he's just too darn awesome.

Legend, eh, I still don't find him that appealing. Quite cute, but... He's just so boring (sorry!) ._.

1. legend of spyro - i love everything about these games, especially the storyline!
2. classics - i think they're really fun, gotta love the classics!
3. skylanders - haven't played it much so far but it's pretty cool

I love all of these. They're all original and special in their own way. Classic is just classic, fun and colorful. There are many tasks to complete. LoS is a dark difference with cool Spyro's design. I like the story there, but I think it's too much fighting and then the game gets boring. I didn't play Skylanders, so don't know much about them, but I think they're pretty cool too, because I saw many unique characters here.

Since I can't decide to save my life, Classic and TLoS are tied, and I can't really say for Skylanders considering I haven't played it yet.

Insomniac/Classic: Nothing beats the best!
Skylanders: It's pretty good, and the closest to old Spyro we've gotten in ages
LoS: Terrible, I'm sorry. The only thing I like about is Cynder, and only design-wise

Classic - Insomniac had the best design for Spyro, They were sooo much fun and colorful, just epic.

Enter the Dragonfly - EtD stayed true to the classics, my copy doesn't glitch if I use a different memory card then the one I glitched up. I love Spyro's EtD design- ADORABLE. The graphics were amazing!

LoS and AHT - Legend of Spyro was okay, especcily ANB. DotD ruined it. A Hero's Tail just feels more distant the LoS series for some reason. I dislike many things about his design, and his personality. They changed his walk and his charge. I hated that.

1st. Classics (Imsomniac) - Love them all, only problem is I wish there were more of them!

2nd. Skylanders - I love this game, but found the overall run-through of the game shorter than I hoped

3rd. LoS - Do I even need to explain why I put it dead last?

1.Classics: i like the older games that spyros young.
2.LoS: i think i didn't played it before. please explain what the game is.
3.Skylanders:i love it!!!

1) Classic (Insomniac). Those three games were golden and were my childhood. It's a shame Spyro went all over the place after ETD. They should have just stopped Spyro instead of rebooting it.
2) Skylanders. I haven't completed the game yet, but I like it better than TLOS. I'm glad that Activision stepped in. Skylanders is an okay game, but I rather play it over TLOS.
3) TLOS. It has a boring plot, the game-play is horrible, both the music and atmosphere are dull, it didn't stay true to its roots, Spyro has a very boring personality and is far too serious, too many plot-holes, DOTD ruined all the potential the series had.... I could go on for hours.

I liked what Razzek called Spyro in that game, she named him Skyro. Activision should have altered his name I think.

But are you implying because someone dislikes LoS they hate Spyro in general?
There IS Classic Spyro and Skylanders...

1 - Skylanders (great designs, fun dungeon crawling, fun gimmick, I love all of the characters)

2 - What little I've played of Classic (Fun and simple platformer, fun and simple story)

3 - TLOS (great designs, fun little character moments)

Though I've enjoyed them all.

As was just said, there are THREE eras for Spyro and many games altogether. Just because I dislike one era and all the three games in it does not mean I hate all Spyro. Just like the fact that I hate Cynder does not mean I hate Spyro.

That would be a pretty tough choice between TLoS and the classics.

The classic is, well, classic, I shouldn't have to say much more, should I? lol...
And TLoS was just fun and it was something new for me.

Uh, as for Skylanders, it's pretty fun, too, but it also is kinda weird, too, if you know what I mean, lol...

Mmm... This is difficult because I love all Spyro game in different ways, I mean, Storyline, Graphics, Gameplay and all that stuff. Anyway, my favorites are:

1st: Absolutely the Classics, because it's so fun, funny and the graphics was so cool in that moment (1998 to 2000). Nothing can't beat the classics xD

Now I have my Doubts...

2nd: Mmm... TLoS series I guess, because the gameplay it wasn't fun, sometimes it was a bit funny, the graphics it wasn't so bad BUT the Storyline was Absolutely Great, I think I was crying when I finish TLoS: TEN and TLoS: DotD.

3rd: Skylanders, well... the gameplay it wasn't so bad BUT I didn't like much the graphics, specially the Storyline it was so... Empty? But I must admit it was a funny game.

@NEW_SpyroLUVA, I also apologize to me when I said you do not like any Spyro game, I'm wrong.

1. Insomniac Games (my favourite gameplay style and favourite personality for Spyro)
2. Skylanders (favourite characters overall and favourite music)
3. Legend (favourite graphics, favourite storytelling techniques and favourite personality for Sparx)

Sorry if that sounds a bit muddled and is a little confusing. I'll try and explain my reasons now!

-My favourite style of gameplay is from the Insomniac series. That's down to my personal taste, really. I'm retro like that.
-I like Spyro's cheeky, adventurous personality from the originals the most.
-There are a lot of characters in Skylanders that I adore (playable and non-playable).
-I loved the pop-meets-oriental music from the originals, and the majestic fantasy music from the LOS, but what I love even more is how the Skylanders soundtrack manages to capture both the light-heartedness of the originals and the epic sweep of the Legends.
-The LOS graphics really impressed me. The textures, the animation, the expression, the lighting... all of it!
-Admittedly, I wasn't that impressed with the LOS storyline as such, but what I did like was the way it was delivered. So that's why I said "storytelling techniques" rather than "storyline". To be honest, I think I like all the games' storylines the same amount! They're all okay, but not what I like about the games the most.
-I loved how Sparx took on his own personality in LOS, and was cautious and a worrier, and his comical moments.

*whew* And that's it! So I kinda have a preferred order, but I do think that all the games (or at least all the games I've played!) have their merits.

Legend of Spyro is my favorite
Classics- very good games but LoS is better
Skylanders-havn't played it but it looks terrible.

In terms of originality: TLoS > Classic > Skylanders. (Skylanders takes aspects from both so that's why it's my least favorite in this term.)
In terms of gameplay: TLoS > Classic > Skylanders. (This group is all opinion based.)
In terms of graphics and style for it's time: Classic > TLoS > Skylanders.
In terms of characters, plot, development and execution: Classic > TLoS > Skylanders. (Again this is opinion based. Skylanders is at the bottom only because of it's childishness. It may seem weird to put it there and Classic on the top when it too was childish, but I based it on my nostalgia and memories. Because I am older I do not partake in "as many" childish games, nor do I enjoy them as much. TLoS is in the middle only because I am a Cynder fan. If I wasen't it would be at the bottom in place of Skylanders. Yes the plot is cheesey, the characters are boring, and the execution could have been workshoped tremendously, but I am a sucker for those types of games.)
In terms of playability -The longer I can sit and actually play it for long periods of time.- TLoS > Classic > Skylanders. (TLoS wins this category because of the RPG elements that were placed into it. I love RPG's, so this is opinion based as well.)

Over all I think that TLoS is my favorite followed by the Classic's and then Skylanders.
