I would have thought a blue Sparx would have more wit/tact than this, or at least know about the new game before now. And haven't we been through this crap already a dozen times over? This is Spyro now, Aran. Get over it.

I'll say that a bad plot does equal a bad game (DotD, anyone?). But you don't know the full story before experiencing it. Yes, the basic starter premise for the story is pretty cheesy, but we won't know until October if the plot as a whole is good or bad.

I've played several games with lazy plots (or "Excuse Plots", as I call them), and I still found many of them enjoyable because of the gameplay.

I love how you only just now flip out about this when the news came out months ago.

Unless you want to be considered ignorant and foolish, I suggest waiting to have a real opinion on this game until it comes out, or at least tone down the hate.

Classic Spyro was a plain basic usual storyline, and LoS was a rehash of the Lord of the Rings.

I don't know why but this storyline in Skylanders, kind of reminds me of MediEvil,since I've just found out that Kaos can do magic against the Skylanders, apart from in MediEvil, the sorcerer Zarok just raises the dead on the world and hypontises the good people into thinking that they are the dead too.

Oh, that wasn't ironic at all. :/ They cast him because they were writing a faux epic and wanted a Frodo-esque hero (not realizing that Frodo is not, in fact, the traditional epic hero they were trying to include in their story).

It's just a spinoff like what Aura said. I guess it's like the Super Smash Bros series, a spinoff of all the Nintendo games where all the characters are equally the main characters.

No. Spyro changed his look. He simply looks more demonic. Spyro in general didn't even look like a real dragon to me. IMO,dragons are supposed to be BIG. smilie Spyro and the elders weren't big at all. Spyro is different,not lost. In fact,it's only luck that Spyro was even included in Skylanders. If he wasn't then his franchise probably would end.
