This shouldn't just apply to MLP. This should apply to every topic made just to anger others. ; If we're going to make this a serious rule.

You see, this is the thing:
We know you think it's cool that this version of MLP is good in your eyes, but you don't have to rub it in our faces all the time.

If you feel you must discuss the show, post it in the general thread; not make dozens of topics about it.
If you feel you must post GIFs or funny images of it, post it the general thread; not make topics for it or post them in completely unrelated places.

This is what people hate about the fanbase; the fact that they feel the show must control the forum.
If you really want a whole forum about it: join a forum specifically about MLP; not try to have it take over other forums.

They're also used to cause lulz, but those cases are equally annoying.

I understand the topic/forum thing, and the images thing -partially for the latter. Since 'parody' images are often posted as responses (Spider-Man, Sonic, etc.), MLP images shouldn't be 'banned' then.

Doesn't matter. Spider-Man images were pretty frequent at one time, too. It will die down eventually. No need to panic/whine/complain/whatever about something that happens all the time anyway (the posting of images as responses).

I agree, as long as a warning or two is given before banning someone over MLP. And I agree with IsisStormDragon... even know I don't see anything else that's causing this problem right now, I'm sure that when/if the time of MLP ends, there will be something else. Then again, like Isis said, the problem will probably fix itself.... hopefully. So... I guess I'm pretty much neutral about this.

It also gets annoying when they use brony terms to the point of insanity, which derails the topic into MLP realm.

I don't care much for Homestuck, Halo, whatever. I don't whine when I see pictures about it. And the pictures that 'only the fans can enjoy' falls under EVERYTHING that exists. Not just MLP.

MLP is the only subject I see getting spammed at the moment, and it's the only one I see getting spammed in the future.

You mention Halo and Homestuck? At least they stick to one ****ing topic.

And when MLP is 'done', something else will get spammed. The 'spamming' applies to everything. Don't shoehorn anything unrelated into a topic, but don't 'ban' MLP fans from posting a picture as a response like everyone else.

LOLno. They both are bad. At first, I would agree the fanbase is bad, but the haters are now getting just as bad as the Justin Bieber haters (who are now like the best advertisement for him).

At least we're (The haters; or at least the ones who oppose MLP spam) trying to help the forum.

I am opposed to the spamming. I just don't think this is the proper course of action, and if it's even considered, it should apply to everything that gets spammed to kingdom come.

Most TV fads would be done by now. It looks like MLP will be here to stay.

The problem isn't posting a picture. If you look at the topic title, it clearly states that this is about making spam topics, and topics primarilly to piss people off. No other fanbase on this site is doing it (even the furries are leaving it in one topic). Your fanbase brought this on itself.

I thought the same about How to Train your Dragon. Then it died. And for the record, this comes eerily close to punishing the innocent fans as well.

That's just them. The actual problem is spam topics.

Again, this seems to be around for a long time, and has taken the internet by storm, unlike HTTYD.

It does come close, but that's what happens. When some members of a fanbase **** up, the entire fanbase gets ridiculed for it (the furry, Star Wars and Sonic fanbases are wonderful examples). It's unfair, but at the same time, innocent fans don't make spam topics, and leave the discussion in the main thread, so they shouldn't really worry.

And things that take the internet by storm are often here for quite some time until the media attempts to replicate it, and kills it (Rick Roll).

That's one of the cons of being in a fanbase. You get generalized.

But not for some time. I wouldn't be surprised if the fad doesn't end until the show's cancellation. Looking at the ratings it's getting, that won't be for a long time.
