How do you like these new furys? [CLOSED]

I think they are good for taking down a single big enemy, but I liked the giant single attack that was in the other games

They're not exactly new now, since the game's been out since 2008.. They should've kept the individual elemental furies instead of only one.

I liked being able to use the convexity breath, but I still miss the individual furies for every breath. If they had kept it that way, plus ADDED the new fury, that'd have been perfect! We could be able to see what all of Cynder's furies for each of her elements would have looked like!

I prefer the original furies.... Even though I wasn't much of a LoS fan back then, I couldn't deny how awesome those furies were.

.....I felt the DotD fury was very underwhelming smilie

I didn't like the new ones much, only because you couldn't have the Elemental Furies. Though they were really cool, and they aren't even called Fury. It is called Convexity, though ELB didn't realize that...

Again, DotD designers (what the heck is this company name? anybody knows?) ruined a good opportunity to make something good in this game. Imagine, 8 different furies, one for each element + 1 convexity fury. And what do we have? One stupid "fury". Yeah, thank you, unknown dumb company of designers!

DotDs was really dissipointing and a waist of mana
i as expecting epic fire, electricity, ice, and earth furys and epic fear, wind, poision, and shadow furys.
but all we got is just convexity. waist of mana.

Topics on this forum do not purge so feel free to post in older topics as long as you have something worth saying; if your post is merely there to bring the topic to the top of the list and you have nothing useful to add to the topic, why would anybody else? This will be regarded as spam.
Posting in old topics that nobody has replied to in months is generally thought of as disruptive, but in the less active game specific forums this is not such an issue.

But it says it's not a problem on the game specific threads, which this is.

The thing you've gotta realise was that this topic is asking for an opinion. So when someone sees it they say, "Hey, I think I'll have my little say on this."

I also find it funny how countless other old topics, such as in the Spyro 2 thread, have been revived, and you don't say anything there, yet when a DotD one is revived, you feel so inclined to say it's against the rules, even though it isn't....

You make an awful lot of assumptions with absolutely no grounds to base them on, SB. The only reason I even looked at this thread was because I thought it was something I'd be interested in commenting on, but when I saw how long ago it had died I was rather dismayed. As for the threads in the Spyro 2 section, that's like complaining because I don't take note of the threads in the Spyro Fusion board. If it's not interesting to me, regardless of the game, I'm not going to waste time looking at it.

This single fury in the game came across as stupid, a sign of laziness, and were just bad for a "fury". And the abuse of FECKING CONVEXITY was not very cool. -.-
Razz Platinum Sparx Gems: 6124
#36 Posted: 04:22:45 13/04/2011
See, now that's a comment that's worth reviving a thread for. smilie

I was disappointed with the furies in DotD, too. They were so screen-filling and epic in ANB/TEN, with each one having it's own unique look and being really useful to boot. I think I used the furies maybe twice in DotD and I couldn't tell the difference from one element to the next. It just looked like a normal breath attack only lamer, somehow.

I may as well share my thoughts as well:

Very disappointing to say the least. I much prefered a larger range fury much like in the Krome games. And upgrading seemed barely noticable. It was a waste of the conviexity breath, and would've been much better as an unlockable breath, like in TEN. I know that they made that possible in the game with armor, but it barely lasted much time, and didn't do much damage.

I'd rather have 8 different furies based off the individual breaths rather than just one lackluster breath. I know the game was rushed, but even with that in mind it seemed as though they got lazy and didn't want to do a fury for each breath. Krome did it and got it right. And I much prefer the furies from ANB and TEN, over DotD's.

Seeing as Aura brought up that little chat again...

I didn't make any assumptions. I just thought is was funny, and convenient. I did not use the word "assume". You just assumed I assumed something, actually.

And saying I make a lot of assumptions was an assumption in itself. You don't know me in real life, and I hardly even make assumptions here. Heck, I have not even been posting an awful lot recently.

And what Shrazer said was pretty much the same as what cynder 9999 said.

Also, you contradicted yourself. You said you are not going to look at it if it doesn't interest you/wastes your time. If that is the case, why did you even bother responding to cynder 9999's post?

Also, I did not complain about anything.

And my main point was that cynder 9999 posting here is not against the rules. So why did you say it was "generally frowned upon" in the first place? If you meant most users don't like it then you are wrong. Many users don't seem to give a crap whether or not a topic is bumped. It happens quite a lot. You, Aura and CAV are the only people I have ever seen who have a problem with it here.

I do agree with that first part. The posts were near identical.

Have you ever thought that we had a problem with it because it's against the rules, not just on here but on almost every forum on the internet?

And fudge it, I'll say it:

Not really. And this topic was high up in the thread. It's just that people have not been posting in the DotD thread full stop since Skylanders was announced. But people may want to post here in the future, so dark52 leaves the thread open, so people can post in these month old topics when the Skylanders craze dies down. You hardly thought he wass going to close every other game specific topic just because people are getting all excited over Skylanders....did you?

That may be the case, but that still doesn't give anyone the authority to bug people about posting an opinion in an old topic. There is nothing wrong with it according to the rules, and you guys are not mods. You can't make a difference. People will just see you as annoying bugs.

Why would he close a topic because it's old and nobody's posting in it? There's no point to it. If someone bumps it, it's against the rules.

Again, the rules state against bumping a topic. So yes, there's something wrong with it. And like I said before, bumping topics is a general rules throughout the entire internet, not just a few forums.
