Look closely. Towards the left you can see Spyro.

Look even more closely. Does he not look like he did in ANB and TEN?

I've heard before from a user here that they read in a comment from one of the producers on the old VUG forums that Spyro and Cynder never actually aged in the crystal, and were never intended to change physically. Do you suppose Spyro's look in this concept is proof of that statement?

He was originally supposed to be like that in Krome's version, but EL changed the style and wanted them to look like teens. Probably because it allowed for more physical attacks.

Yes NEW_SpyroLUVA, I believe you're right. For some reason, when I look at that, I feel as though..... I don't know. Just seeing that makes me feel as though it's a whole different game - One I would love to play.

They didn't age, it was just the style change from Krome to EL. Same for the re-appearance of Cynder's jewelry and her purple color. Would that be concept art from when Krome was working on DotD?

I thought so. I too would LOVE a remake of DotD by Krome! But alas, they are out of business. I'd still REALLY like to se any unreleased content done by Krome.

I agree!! That would be sooo cool! But I doubt that would ever happen. Still, I can wish!

Maybe whoever is cleaning up Krome's work premises will stumble upon "The Darkest Hour", and put it on the internet!

I'd love a re-make of the 'three' Original games instead of a re-make of DOTD. It's not like DOTD is that old anyway.

That didn't stop the Metal Gear Solid games from getting early remakes.

Anyway, if Krome was still in business, it would be nice for them to continue their version of DotD the way it was intended to be. Or have the same development team gather and do the game.

Yeah, that would have been interesting.

EDIT: But then again I found 'The Eternal Night' really hard in my opinion, so I probably would have preferred EL's version slightly better. At least it is a little easier to defeat some of the earlier enemies in that game, but then again who knows?

Sometimes, sequels get easier. (Case in point, Kingdom Hearts 2)

It was hard, but that's partly why I like the game! However, I prefer DotD anyway.

DotD was far too easy. And I didn't like the teen look either..... I just felt it didn't suit Spyro at all.

I'd love to see some unreleased Krome artwork, though.

DotD's difficulty was just right for me. Not too easy, not too hard, and the elite enemies provided extra challenge.

For difficulty I would say that all three games were easy but they did have their challenges. I did not like the teen look of Spyro cause I'm use to growing up with the little cuter Spyro.
I really miss Kromes games though cause they made very good games especially when they made ANB and TEN.(In my opinion)

Becuase Spyro's snout is really round, and Barney's is like that too.

I have but doesn't it seem like he's adarker shade of purple in ANB and TEN than in DotD or is it just me?

I think he looks darker in ANB & TEN..... EL seemed to screw up the colours a bit - Spyro was more pink-purple, and Cynder..... Was a dark purple.

He did look darker in ANB and TEN, but in certain cutscenes, ANB particularly, sometimes he looked really light, almost like his color in DotD. An example would be in that cutscene where he goes to fight Cynder for the final time.. you know, when he's like "Bring it!"? At least I think that's the scene I'm thinking of..

Yup! Maybe it's just me, but he looks really pink there. Maybe it's the reflection from all the pink around him, i don't know. But he looks pink here as well, to me.

Spyro may have been way lighter in DotD, but not pink. Just certain lighting made him look that way, to the point he was glowing

Yeah that's just highlights from the lights around him and in the first level of DotD in the catacombs at the very end when Spyro and Cynder are walking behind the camera Spyro is VERY pink cause he is shining so much and Cynder is more purple than Spyro Man they really messed this game up a lot but I still enjoy it.
